Exactly. My 99 laps on test track will always stick with me. Then accidentally trying to hit resume on a corner and hitting restart on the 97th lap and having to start all over again.. 🥺🥺

I played this. I enjoyed it. Yes it didn't have a campaign mode, which was sad but this game had 800 cars and 35 tracks. That, for a psp is INSANE
And 60 fps, which not many games did on PSP

I was 13 when the game came out (2009), now I am 25, and yet I still play it in my PSP 3000, and other PSPs from my family in ad-hoc mode
Played this on my psp, was able to link with other psp's without wifi and race them if they were within a certain range of you.. could swap certain cars too.. that intro was just so nostalgic

I had this game... bought almost every car. And with the simulation physics selected it felt decently realistic. Understeer, oversteer, snap-oversteer (NSX I'm looking at you), different drivetrains and weights and so. The best driving simulator on the PSP for sure. I'm emulating it on my phone because it's still better than the crappy mobile racing games which all feel awful. Except for Grid Autosport of course.
How good is Grid Autosport? How many cars are there?
@@sukhdevr3489 its good but nowhere near as good as emulator games but grid is probably ok with atleast 100-60 cars excluding race versions of road cars in the game
@@TouringCarsAndStuff Yeah, I played all the PSP racing games and they were great. TDU, GT, Undercover, Underground Rivals. Juiced 2 didn't work but I have it on PS3 anyway.

Le Mans and Nurburgring were my grind spots on GTPSP.
When I was a kid. This was the game to play when your were on a road trip with the parents. Sitting the back seat playing this made the hours go by so fast
Joke's on you. I play this game on so many lunch breaks at work, I'm pretty sure I've played it more than the rest of the series combined!
And now the cheat codes have finally been discovered, so I have even more reason to keep coming back.

@@fritsmolenaar05 yea I had a Galaxy S8+ years ago, now currently I have the 9 plus. Thinking of upgrading but this game runs at a good smooth 60fps on nearly any Android device which is great

This, Burnout and Crisis Core were my favorite games on the PSP.
Far as I'm concerned those could be the only psp games ever created and it'd still be a sound investment to buy the psp. I got so many hours of play time from them I didn't need any other games lol
I've played this too alot when I was a kid, it was so good, and the electronic/techno song tracks they have are amazing.
I enjoyed this so much on my phone last year. This and TDU are my favourite PSP racing games.

This was my first PSP game. I bought a PSP Go back when it came out, with Gran Turismo.
It doesn't compare to other GT games but it is alright.
Dude not even kidding, I used to cut class in high school and play this game with my buddy, head to head mustangs vs camaros! Oh the nostalgia lol

One of the best ways to get a lot of money is to do a free drift run. I always used the WRX rally car on a snow track. Big angles and AWD baby
This is probably the GT I played the most, 3 of us used to play ad oc mode or whatever it was called, it was so fun. Its also where I began Drifting, legend of a game. This and Midnight Club 3 were my go to PSP racing games.

GT PSP was one of the best. It allowed you to connect with GT Prologue and move your cars from one game to the other. Plus having it on the go was amazing.
This unlocked a memory I didn’t remember I had, this game was so fun
To this day I don’t think I’ve played a game more in my life than GT on the PSP. I put an unhealthy amount of hours into this game.

You probably won’t believe me, but the very first video game I ever played was Gran Turismo PSP, which I got for Christmas alongside the PSP itself. I spent hours on that game, hiding my PSP under my pillow and waiting for my parents to go to bed before staying up all night on it. Great memories!

My brother bought Gran Turismo and Dirt 2 when my brother and I first got our PSP's. My brother chose Dirt and so I had Gran Turismo and I fell in love with the game. I played a little bit of GT4 as well as watch my brother play it, but this was the first Gran Turismo game I ever owned and I spent hours upon hours on it

I used to play this a lot before my PSP died, such a great game.
My psp came with that game loved it. Checked it out recently and was surprised by how bad the graphics were compared to my memories.
The fact you can drive 800+ cars and able to drive the full nurburgring track in 2009 on a small psp is insane
Another cool feature is the actual clock in the right bottom corner which says the real life corner. So if you can pay close attention you can see that Mathew was recording between 00 and 01 AM.
