The team racing system on FSR is unique, it has so much potential, I would love to see this kind of mode on a new arcade racing game.
I loved Ford Racing 2 and 3 back in the day. Those would actually be worth a proper visit. The selection of whacky crazy cars is so good in these. And you can put Nitrous into a Model T.
I also bought Ford Street Racing for 1,5€ from a store, they wanted to get rid of it ^^.
Fun fact: Volkswagen made a single player racing game back in ~2013 i think. Pretty sure it was only for mobile. It’s called “Sports Car Racing” . It had most VAG sports/super/ Hypercars. They also released a prequel called sports car racing 2. It was very fun back in the day and graphics is still much better than other racing games of its time and now.
That's not the only game that i recall from the past & still have till 2day. There's also a Ford VS Chevrolet game as well. Love the vids Theo. A fan from the Eastside of the Wild wild West, USA.

Oh my god, I'd played the shit out of FR3 as a kid. Even showed this game to my grandpa and that's what brought him to the PC gaming. So many good memories about this game

I remember playing Ford Racing 2 so much as a kid and never knew about 3 (I was 4 and didn't know how to use the internet efficiently yet) I kind of miss when car brands had their own racing games because it shows how much variety you can have without needing more than one brand of cars. I remember my favorite car in the second game was the yellow Mach 1 from the OG Gone In 60 Seconds. Personally stick to for racing 2 & 3 because those were the best ones.
Give Ford racing 3 a try. That's the best of the bunch.

Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli is a very challenging first party game.
I played it in the Wii and I was pleasantly surprised with the handling.
This unlocked some major hidden memories, played this one and fr2 religiously as a kid, that orange mustang gtr was my dream car back when this was new
dude ford racing 2 and 3 are my childhood games, i used to enjoy the split screen and i remember the different events and man, that cool main menu, futuristic for its time!, great games!, sad to remember that rasorworks and empire interactive is gone now!

I remember playing ford racing 2. It was such a thrill to play split screen with my friends and by myself to improve and beat them later. We used to do championships and i remember i even made some trophies from paper. Such good memories and good game.
1:06 Fun fact, did you know this game also came out for the Game Boy Advance? So the GBA version ran at a resolution of 240x160.

The Mustang street racing game looks visually and from a handling perspective like it may have been based off the SRS platform. Reminds me a lot of that game.
Nostalgia right there bro,i used to play these Ford Racing games so so much in the past,the one i used to play the most was Ford Racing 2 if my memory serves me right and it has a splitscreen mode(good old days when we actually had fun with games) and i used to play hours upon hours with my cousin in split screen sometimes even making up our own little game modes and chalenges.

I had this game for PS2. There were 4 games. Ford Racing 1-3 then Bold Moves Street Racing. Ford Racing 3 has the GT90, and in Bold Moves has the 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500
in Portugal FR2 used to come in cereal boxes, alongside Crazy Taxi, Total Immersion Racing and some other games. FR2 used to be part of my childhood because a 6 year old me started loving car games cuz of it. Used to own Ford Mustang and Ford Street Racing as well. Those games, alongside NFS and Juiced were part of my childhood. I highly recommend all of you buying their games. Its money well spent

I grew up on the last game, but funnily enough in the UK it was called Land Rover Ford: OffRoad. Even when i was a kid i knew it was kinda garbage, but i felt super nostalgic when you played it.

Mustang the Legend Lives is developed by Eutechnyx, which is the same dev who made Street Racing Syndicate. (which you just played and uploaded a video about on May 13th) If you pay attention you'll notice the handling between the two games is nearly identical.
Ford Racing has been my childhood backl then. Total Immersion Racing and Ford Racing 2 were my favorite games when I was a kid
Fun fact: The RS200 in Ford Street Racing is an Evolution model. The devs forgot that detail but this keeps up with Shelby GT500 of 2007.

I remember playing Ford Mustang: The Legend Lives on the PS2. It's from the same studio that made SRS: Street Racing Syndicate & Ford Vs. Chevy.
IIRC, Ford Street Racing game has a mechanic where multiple of your cars race and you can press a key to "switch" to your other car in the same race.
Now I wish Ford Racing 1 was re-released, cuz if I recall correctly there was a race that was not completing and also add in some customization features such as the ability to widen front and rear tires, cuz the tires on the Ford Ka look skinny as hell.
I remember playing ford racing 3 on my laptop back in like 2010-2013 because I got the disc from a zucaritas cereal box lol

@14:15 I didn't buy it but I asked for the game one Christmas for the Nintendo wii. Argos were selling the game with a wheel adaptor for the wii remote as well. On my copy of the game it has the ford and land rover badges above the front cover. I actually enjoyed playing this game with the wii remote like Mario kart. A few years before that, my brother had Ford racing 3 for the ps2 and have fond memories playing that with him. Both games take a bit of time to complete and both games didn't have those graphics issues when playing 😂
Fun facts about for racing 3 is that.
1. The game is so easy to install once you installed it to a computer once with its dvd. You can literally copy it to a USB and play it on any computer because it has no CD requirements. Just copy its setup file to a USB and you are good to go.
2. This game is ridiculously easy to mod. With literally 0 coding experience i changed the stats of the cars in the game, made them faster and also i played the only offroad class track with other car classes. You can even change the story mode and its rewards to whatever you want it to be.

speaking of racing game made by manufacturers , i remember when i was kid , dad downloaded me BMW M3 Challange game , it had steering witha mouse but i had a blast when i was 5-6 and you could only race with E92 M3

Ford Street Racing XR editoon, was even much better than the base game, should've tried that, & also tried Team Racing (the team racing in this game is pretty unique, as you can switch cars during the race)

This was the first racing game that I ever owned when I got my PS2. I wasn't that much of a fan of it, but I do have some nostalgia for it. It was what I got into before Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and Burnout 3 came into my life.

I played all three of them when I was a kid. Absolutely enjoyed them.
You touched on i it in the menus, but didn't actually try it, but Ford Street Racing had a team based racing mode where there was you and up to 2 AI team mates. You can draft, give them orders to block etc and even dynamically switch between them in the middle of the race. The race result is based off of the total of your team positions, not just you. And the other AI race in teams too.

Put hours into Ford Racing 2 and 3 on my old Windows XP computer, still have them somewhere but sortof dont want to taint the memories by booting them up now.
