To clear any misconception. Many cars in the 80s and 90s had a speeding chime which for most cars, at 80km/h would activate and start making a chime sound like for the skyline GTS-R , 86 , etc. But other cars had another chime which was more of a buzzer like the FD RX-7 which at redline would buzz at you to tell you when to shift. Very interesting features.
Fun fact the BMW M3 GTR was originally made for let mans series and won in the years 2001 to 2005 which was fitted with 4 litre 8 cylinder v8 engine but was later changed to a 6 cylinder

There are a lot of mental engine swaps. Try these. Supra RZ mk4 with Pagani Huayra V12 engine. Supra RZ mk5 with Lexus LFA V10. Nissan Silvia s14 with LS7 BRZ V8 Alfa Romeo 4c with Ferrarri 458 Italia V8. Mazda RX7 with 4 rotor Mazda 727B engine. Bmw M3 E30 with Suzuki V8
I have a 900 hp Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE on my GT7, its my most used car, and i have had no issue with the "new physics" i couldnt really tell a difference and i was racing hypercars last night. Idk how "good" my time is but i turned a 1:47.12 around Monza (w/chicane) last night with that Camaro and never had any issues with spinning out, there was some minor wheel slip (no TCS) but with some throttle mgmt i worked thru it.

you should put the fully customizable manual on some cars, it still shifts pretty quick but on some cars it’ll backfire during up and downshifts and it sounds a little more natural for gear changes
Playing GT7 on controller takes practice, but a huge tip is learning to pay attention to and use your HUD more. You cannot trail brake into a corner the same way you can with a rig. Not reliably. So you need to go around the track, glancing down and noting the speed of each corner entry. If you are oversteering into the corner, use less brake into the corner next time. If you’re understeering into the corner, use more brake. I have the speed of each corner around my favorite tracks memorized for each of my favorite cars. It is a must skill to build for controller players.
Hey Theo, the weight transfer is much stronger in the game now, so anything that disrupts the car has more effect. Like the kerbs, or slightly releasing the brake to help it turn. But also, suspension setup. If you keep a road car on street tires, keep or replicate the suspension setup with the customizable one, you should be fine. I hear the sport soft tires are like Michelin sport Cup 2's! (Which I think are the stickiest irl street tire) But if you put racing tires on, hold on tight cause the car will be too soft to handle that. Increase your spring rates, dampers, and especially roll bars (which tend to be softer than the stock ones even when copying the values) then you'll have a better handling car for the race tires. Don't forget some camber as well to make use of the grip on the corners. Oh, and I recently found out from another RUclipsr that rim sizes actually matter! (Who da thunk it) Rubber band tires will be less forgiving.
I have always played on a controller, and even if I'm not that good, my 14YO son has no problems winning the sport races with a controller, even if we get nowhere near the record times on time attacks or qualifying, But, after the update I can agree that the game is near unplayable on a controller (and PS4 btw) GT3 and GT4 cars weem to just be a little more twitchybut still mostly saveable, and some FWD cars like the Volvo V40 can still be guided around a track with some effort, but most cars do piruets if you just think about slowing down. On a PS4 controller the initial force needed to push the button enough for the game to register it as pushed, is greater than the force you can apply to the brakes without losing control of the car, so you essentially have to gradually push it softer than you were doing a split second ago as soon as you feel the car react to the initial push, and I just don't have the reaction time to do that. (considering many cars now have the instability warning where the PP rating should be , the physics are probably broken far beyond just a controller/feedback issue though)
Imo the new update does bring skills a little back up cause before anyone could simply handle big HP car with not so much effort now we do need to handle it more and not just rely on assistance and i also found myself tweaking the suspension more than i used too on every single car i did tune
I play on controller and am consistently top 5-8% in the world on time trials, and i can confirm this update has made it so much harder to play on controller
If you enjoyed this then try the W16 swap on the c6, gt r35 or the viper gts throw up to 1800hp (i have a viper exchange liver and c5.r remake livery on my profiles for those cars) with some tuning i was able to make it go almost 600kph

you should rise your ride height cuz your front wheels are locking. I'd put at least 130 mm and make the suspension stiffer

The car only snaps when turning because the wheels are getting caught on the wheel arches.
The B58 Supra engine swap for the M3 is not bad in opinion. Basically a modern BMW engine in an 80s classic.
