The addition of those dark oak trapdoors on the inner corner of the roof is something I wouldn't have thought of in a million years, but it's a little detail that works so well.
"Let's be honest, I built a netherite beacon... you're never gonna beat me!" I loved that 😂 You surely did & that took unbelievable dedication 🤩 Love this new series so far!
bdubs and fWhip would be proud of that build! I can see the inspiration from those two builders. Your building style has really come a long way in the past few years!
Idk how he does it... so many survival worlds hes done alone one after another throughout the years. This definitely has to only feel like a job by now... I cant begin to comprehend how he still has any fun at all.
i'm glad to see this series start. it already looks like its gonna be a good one. the idea of tackling a raid with boats is something i've never thought of. i'm scared of them TBH. one thing i will say, since you're working on building, is that you've really perfected the Tudor/medeival style house. regardless of the materiel you use, it looks fantastic. have you considered moving on to a different style? or are you just really happy with this one. playing around with roof shapes more, even.
Been a fan of yours since I was in middle or high school, almost 24 now. Your old theme song triggers massive minecraft nostalgia haha. Love your build style and process, looking forward to seeing the interior for this. Happy Holidays Jev!
I consider Jev as a master of game mechanics and mega bases and love that. But oh, I'm all in whenever he builds a cozy, detailed area. He always takes you through the whole thing in a very effective way. I absolutely love this. Thanks for giving us a great video during the holiday weekend. I hope yours is magical.
I am really liking this series. I have been following some of the Hermits for over 10 years now but this video hit me at the right time and earned you a subscriber. Keep up the great series and builds.
Impressed by your knowledge of the raid mechanics, never seen someone do this to fight a raid before, but it worked so well. Awesome way to manage that so early on in a hardcore world no less.
Great video. I like how you took some risks, i.e. the pillager raid. A lot of hardcore MC is creators playing it safe. IMO, fun hardcore is when the creator truly adventures. Well done!
Just discovered this series, really digging the concept! Appreciate how you walked through the choosing of your starter base location and design process too, particularly the terraforming and build pallet choices. Planning before you lay a single block is so important.
With regards to you starting and discontinuing series, I really don't blame you and fully relate; there's nothing quite like the excitement of a fresh new world, exploring the random terrain and structures and getting set up. Many series = many new beginnings, which I love watching you experience every time! I wish you luck with staying motivated / managing your own expectations and persevering on a single world though. I'm super looking forward this series (and S10 when that time comes) now you're distancing yourself from megabases to focus on what makes you happy in the game :D Also, goodluck with the diamond challenge!!
For some reason out of all the youtubers I've watched over the years you're one I come back to every now and again really just to see how you're doing and it's amazing to see how the channel's grown, how you've grown, your style, everything. So yeah this has been fun to watch and keep it up man because you're doing awesome 🙌🙌
There was something about the thumbnail of this video that drew me in, and I knew I had to watch this. I'm so glad I did! I've really been struggling with getting inspiration for a build that I want to stick with and not change it every 5 minutes. This video is so inspiring and helpful! PS: I wanna see how fast we as viewers can get Jevin to a full diamond beacon XD LOL
Jev, I just finished watching this again, maybe during the raid, you could have sped up the footage a little bit instead of jump cutting so we can still see you take those hits. It felt like you missed a little bit of visual drama. I love your art and ever since you started building for you, at your own pace, etc., to overcome burnout, your videos have really been solid. Thanks for sticking with it.
Hi Jevin! Since you’ve got all the optimization mods that are the default nowadays, and tools like freecam, might I also suggest getting Xaero’s Worldmap? It will probably help viewers in future episodes get a feel for where everything is until you’ve built up more landmarks
Oh I love that you'll release a world download around episode 20. I haven't played Minecraft in sooo long and "getting started" can be a huge barrier for me getting into a game. Be able to have your stater base and some resources already would be really useful for getting into the more fun stuff
Hey man i literally grew up watching you, since minecraft came out on xbox, your let’s play series i’m now 22 and about to graduate ur amazing keep it up!
WOOWOO!! Excellent new series, thank you. Jev, as for the disclaimer at the beginning, we (I?) understand. Life happens, and you’re not a video robot. Thanks for all you do share, and thank you for modelling good boundaries and breaks. You’re great.
I was gonna say, sometimes snow biome villages have the igloos that have a "basement", but you found it already. That's awesome! I find that if you want beginners emeralds, you trade with fletchers. Then I trade with farmers, but that's just me. Then I make a blacksmith and blast furnace. This looks like an awesome video! Stay frosty!
If the space is available a really cool addition to the "sink" in the outside storage area is to make the block the tripwire hook is on and the 2 next to it into stairs instead. You can either just block it up on the inside or trapdoor wallpaper it. Finally waterlog the 2 outer stair blocks thus creating an infinite water source and giving the ability to have a "working faucet" in addition to the decorational water in the cauldron below. I have been making a point to try and make all decorational sinks be useful to the player and not just the eyes. It also greatly improves the quality of life while working in the area, as every sink is a water source for whenever you need water. So much better than having to go outside and out to the closest body of water.
Great video Jev, loved it as always! Unfortunately your raid must have failed since you didnt get "Hero Of The Village" and may have had a chance at more totems, but regardless of that, WELL DONE!
Love the house, and really love the commentary! It's great hearing the thought process of creators. I think a world download maybe every 5 to 10 episodes would be good. Also, best of luck failing your diamond challenge! (Because you're going to get thousands of new subs of course!)
Quick tip for building spruce trees is that if you use fences for the tree you have to cover the upper half of the tree you can leave four to three fences exposed on the fourth place one on each side of the tree above that you use three by three leaves on the tree until you reach your desired height add one on each side on the top go up three to two on each side of the tree in the middle go up until you reach three higher then the side leaves on the top of the spruce tree on the side of the tree in the middle on each side place tree to four leaves higher or lower in the middle of the after that it's a finished product hope you have a good day with this you can make many of these trees around your world it might not look good sometimes but it is what it is now. If you use logs for the tree make it see through a little bit as you go up building the tree make it quite large for some of them for the best look from far away but sometimes it looks weird to some people also with this tree you mudbrick walls for thinner beaches to widen the tree more for the most aesthetic finish for the tree as you build up use fences for the top of the tree so it look the a tip of a real life spruce tree hope this help with improving tree builds in the future thank you.
Dude no joke I was sitting here half mindedly scrolling cause there's just nothing I want to watch, and saw this pop up and the little moment of glee that came over me 😂 It's been a while since I've sat down and really watched you (usually Mumbo, Grian, Bdubs, Python, fWhip etc) and it's so nice to have a new Jevin series to look forward to and follow along with ❤
Been trying to find new content to watch in between Hermitcraft seasons, I've watched a couple other hardcore series lately but have not seen such efficient and professional raid clearing as that, so casual and relaxed while you ruin these poor sods lives 🤣
Sorry to hear your unwell speedy recovery good Sir. Love your videos and delivery style. It as was watching your videos that made me want to play Minecraft. Would love to see you have to try and mine 200k diamonds. The weird thing is I recon you could do it. Here to the New Year.
Hey iJevin, love the seed, love the starter "home" and wow , love that lake side view. Can't wait to see What you blow out next...lol. thanks for the eps, till next one cheers
Just at the beginning of the video still but I wanted to say as much a mega builds look cool I much prefer small to medium builds and the world building that can be done with that. I would think as a creator it would also be nice to be able to bounce from build to build and keep it fresh for themselves. In the end do what makes you the most happy and that makes content creation fun for you Jev.
Hi Jevin, Happy Holidays! Thank you for sharing your building process…. Inspiring! I loved the biome you’ve chosen, I love snowy areas too… Building next snow… Really cool build! ❤
Awesome episode! Absolutely love the starter house, you are an amazing builder! Super hyped for this series! Merry Christmas, hope you have a fantastic Christmas! Keep up the amazing work! Have an awesome weekend! See you next time!
Amazing start indeed 🔥 nice job on the starter house and area around it! Only small thing I don't like is the exposed dirt blocks under the custom tree by the water and the one to the back right side of the house 👀 whenever I'm terraforming that's one thing I always look for and cover up 🤷♂ guess it doesn't hurt everyone's brain like it does mine 😂
I'm really glad to see someone else who uses all the tools to aid in design, while still relishing the challenge of survival building. It feels kinda clunky to have to switch between the two modes, but having to design in survival is even more painful
Guys if 200K people sub and we get Jevin to a million, he has to collect 200k diamonds :D
That’s a lot of strip mining
Yeah, I'll sub for that
That sounds terrible lol
His views need to get higher f9r that to happen
I'm part of that soon to be 200k lol
The addition of those dark oak trapdoors on the inner corner of the roof is something I wouldn't have thought of in a million years, but it's a little detail that works so well.
"Let's be honest, I built a netherite beacon... you're never gonna beat me!" I loved that 😂 You surely did & that took unbelievable dedication 🤩 Love this new series so far!
Woah rich
bdubs and fWhip would be proud of that build! I can see the inspiration from those two builders. Your building style has really come a long way in the past few years!
Season 2 survival has nothing on this
Idk how he does it... so many survival worlds hes done alone one after another throughout the years. This definitely has to only feel like a job by now... I cant begin to comprehend how he still has any fun at all.

Sameeee bro I turned 25 this year and I’ve been watching Jev since 8th grade.
I miss Revo and Crusty sm lol
Me too! @@captaindom5719

its been forever since ive seen an OG's playthrough just pop up on my feed!

I reall liked the time lapse. Hearing the design changes was informative.
I've always loved the starting days of a Minecraft Hardcore!!!
I like to watch your design process. I'd definitely like to watch more of that:)

This dude has sounded sick since 2012

Awesome timelapse of the design and build process! Thanks, man!

I just subscribed. Let’s see these diamonds!!
Love the over the holidays videos :) Love to see you grow as a builder. the builds just get prettier and prettier.
Hey man i literally grew up watching you, since minecraft came out on xbox, your let’s play series i’m now 22 and about to graduate ur amazing keep it up!
Merry Christmas, Jevin! Super excited for a Let's Play from you :) Feel better soon!
Jev I really LOVE how you show your creative process in this! No one does that in their hardcore world and it was really cool to see!
Jen, I am always inspired by your house builds. Really appreciate how much work goes into the final result.
WOOWOO!! Excellent new series, thank you. Jev, as for the disclaimer at the beginning, we (I?) understand. Life happens, and you’re not a video robot. Thanks for all you do share, and thank you for modelling good boundaries and breaks. You’re great.
Happy holidays Jevin, the house looks awesome and it's really helpful to hear about the design process. Hope you feel better soon.
Can't wait to see your future hardcore adventures! Just subbed!
Loved the episode, good pace, great build, loved the Timelapse and the explanation. Can’t wait for more of this!!

Thanks for keeping us entertained over the holidays Jev! 😁
I really liked the timelapse showing all the different stages and ideas of the house and your thoughts on it.
Seeing this in my sub feed made my day. Merry Christmas Jev,
I haven’t watched this dude in going on 10 years and he randomly popped into my head 😂glad to see you’re still making vids
I really like how ypu approach this episode. Very insightful! Would 100% love to see more of it. 👌
I just re-discovered you after 10 years... I'm so glad you're still posting!!!
I love this build! Don't go too fast. I get burnt out when everything gets done immediately. :)
Great first episode. I really enjoyed hearing your creative process of the build.
Hi my guy
How’s it going, great I hope
Have a safe and merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Love it ❤ hope you feel better soon!

Hey Jev, idea for your world: Build a full netherite beacon, it could be a cool flex...
In the bastion you found there is hidden chest in one of the lava flows near that gold you were talking about
All right Jevin, you got me. I subbed. Beautiful starter house ❤
It would have been a funny troll to die in the snowy village blacksmith lava right away 😂
Loved the design process!
I'm learning so much from this! Thank you!
Love when you do hardcore, looking forward to the series 💙
I hope you're feeling better, never had a stronger urge to make somebody a lemon honey tea lol... looking forward to the series :D
Been trying to find new content to watch in between Hermitcraft seasons, I've watched a couple other hardcore series lately but have not seen such efficient and professional raid clearing as that, so casual and relaxed while you ruin these poor sods lives 🤣
