- I am restarting in my hardcore world! Picking out a fresh new spot and updating to minecraft 1.21. In this episode we find a winter village, surrounded by ice and polar bears. We explore the area, build a starter house and get some new wolf friends.

Just to be clear, this is the exact same world with the pink village in it, we will return there, i just wanted a fun new adventure for summer break! This is technically episode 14 :D

I love how gem is always so fascinated by the game, even though she has been playing it for so long. It always give "playing Minecraft for the first time" vibes

@@skyhawkslcb18 legit, nothing else in MC captures the feeling of starting out fresh, exploring the world, making a little starter base and getting your first tools. I've probably restarted hundreds of MC worlds by now and the start is still the best.
Definitely keep the villager painting, it’s like a constant reminder of what you’ve sworn to protect!
I think that in the lore of this series Gem gets placed in the snow by pillagers looking to get rid of her and attack the cherry village without a ruler. She must find her way back by challenging the pillagers to fight her new village she must protect. If she wins she’ll get the information to get back home. But at the end she has found two new homes.

I was so worried that the old village was gone, but I'm glad to see it's still there, just 1000 blocks away. I think linking the two with a road would be such cool world building, and I'm excited to see how this village develops!
Gem you should totally change ur skin for the new biome! We don’t want you to freeze in those overalls (though they are insanely cute)
gem, i think some lanterns would totally make your manor seem more cozy and actually give it the glow you wanted with the windows 🌟 plus it would totally match the village! would also probably look good with shaders too :)

Having a goal to Defend a Village from a Raid really reminds me the days where you Build and Defend from a Raid, but now I can see you fighting off a raid with Wolves since their HP is doubled than before and wolf armor exists
I think that the other villages that you’re taking the bread and armor from and the one with the cool library would be fun villages to imagine that they’re your rivals! Your village’s enemies, and that’s why your two villages connect up later on, because they become allies!

Snow in Minecraft is an absolute vibe but I actually really love when rains in my jungle base. Plains rain = bleh but in the really green jungle I think it's great.
The arctic fox sanctuary sounds amazing! Can picture like a cute snowy mound/den for them to stay cozy in :)

@@kokomelon6707it’s the same world but so far away from the original village and she’s starting over. But once she completes a raid, she’ll allow herself to travel back to the og village and use both

I'm aware of that, but she said it's near spawn and mentioned a new seed. It just confused me a little
As somebody who's built in a lot of snow biomes it's really fun building because you have to take the snow into account. In the custom village I built I have a covered pathway that goes around the village that has lanterns hanging from it. It looks really nice at night
Just when I had to live in a far away completely different place for a while and can’t fall asleep on the first night, you gave me a minecraft video of you moving away to a different place for a while too… This was so comforting! I feel more calm, I’m gonna try again to sleep now :)

One of my favorite worlds I ever had was when I lived in the snow. I had a cute greenhouse for my crops. Though, the snow got so annoying after a while that I went way into the sky and put a layer of glass over my immediate land to stop the snow fall hahaha
what I love about this episode is all of the exploring, like admiring the igloo generation, crazy terrain, the new wolves and the scary villager painting. It’s so cool seeing someone just loving the little details in the game!!
also maybe for future updates you could keep the same world but travel to different parts and at the end of each series, link them all together so that there are like different areas for each update all in one world

Hey Gem, to fit your cactus into the snowy biome, perhaps you could build a village greenhouse to plant cacti and perhaps other crops too! You could also use lanterns and campfires to keep it warm and protect the plants! :)

I love seeing Gem discovering and enjoying new things that I've done for years. She always gives me new ideas to expand on.
Idea: Since there are new wolf variants and you got all cat variants in the last village, you should get all of the dogs.

i love love love when people restart in their hardcore worlds. It makes the entire world feel more lived in, which is fun. The idea that you connect them with paths is also very fun. Love the dogs and paintings too

This video is such a vibe! I always love the new start to a series, but with the idea of a future connection to the old one it’s even better! And I love the chill music just playing in the background, the gentle snowfall, etc.
I love you having another let's play, the progress is entertaining enough to keep me smiling while watching. I find it funny blocking the villagers with fences and you being amazed in igloos.
It’s right in the middle of winter here in Australia, so this series is actually perfectly timed! Definitely a lovely thing to watch by the fire in my ski thermals :)

What a good idea to start fresh without abandoning the lovely pink village forever. =) I look forward to seeing what you do in the winter biome. As for ideas, an ice tower in the ice spikes (sort of blending in) could be cool 👍

I'm excited to see you building in a snow biome! I settled down in one in my most recent hardcore world too. It's dangerous and at times troublesome but every build really pops against the white snow. I think you'll really enjoy building here. I cant wait to see you turn this ordinary village into an extraordinary one!

You can find a white wolf in a snowy tundra! But they might be slightly harder to find since they are lonely and don't appear in packs. And if there's a taiga nearby, maybe there is a old growth taiga where you can find a black wolves.

A tip/easily overlooked feature for anyone building in a frozen biome!! If you waterlog blocks, they will not freeze, and can still be used for crops. I'd recommend leaf blocks (my favorite 💜)
I like to waterlog top slabs because it hides the water while also giving you a path to walk on.
Oh it's the same world!! A fresh start in the new update is a great idea, but when I saw the episode number reset I was worried for a moment that it was a different world, lol! This new area looks gorgeous, I love the ice spikes biome so much and the snow bunnies are so cute, also the cold area is the perfect thing to watch while it's getting warmer irl! Your new starter house is so cute!!

Pro tip: waterlogged blocks don't freeze! They're a much easier way to ensure any water you're using doesn't freeze while building in a cold biome

Your new village location is adorable. Can’t wait to see what you build. Wondering if some little red wooden Swedish-style houses would be cute. Also, with so much ice nearby, you could build an ice boat road. It’s an amazingly fast way to travel!
