I remember Canuck saying, when doing the fairways, think about how it would feel if grounds crew had to cut it. Trying to cut the light rough with a drop like that would be difficult to cut and walk.

Lol out of all the advice I’ve ever received in my 35 years on earth, that’s the one I’ve remembered.

ive been getting a little to lazy and only using secondary surface but i love when a light rough isnt done by secondary surface. It takes a lot more time to get it right but the character it can add is well worth it.

My first and only submission on 21 was approved. It took me over 50+ hours to complete with many many play thru. Anyone wanting to create a course for approval should really research others that have many tutorials.

Enjoyed your video. Thanks for taking the time to produce this review. A very constructive critique, in my mind, that has assisted my understanding in the use of the course designer. Some excellent tips for the course I am about to try my hand at building.

New to this game (haven’t even bought but investigating) - when you build a course do you only need it approved for the world to play ? If you want to build one for you and your mate - you can still play it ?

Rules are fine and all but sometimes a good course is just a good course regardless of a certain pin or an intruding bunker …..this is why I quit trying to satisfy anyone but myself. The tee shot on the first hole went into the rough but you also didn’t play the required fade off the tee to have it not to…..see where this can go? Was it foolish to make the fairway bend to the right blindly ….maybe….more foolish to have seen it and not play for it though….again, I get that there are “rules” for accepted courses….but they’re not my rules….In a video game fun factor should be the over riding priority…..MOST of the “approved courses I’ve played are snooze fests. I can see that you are very knowledgeable though and I do find your videos useful.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Have you ever heard of Pete Dye, by your definition, those courses-almost every hole will be a blind shot.

Great analysis. If he continues on the next course should be better. You call out the issues well and clearly, but don’t talk down to the creator and encourage further exploration.
