Preston, 'Under Pressure' is a great song to listen to. It is one of the best duets ever recorded. Freddie Mercury and David Bowie together is priceless. When they played it live, the drummer, Roger, would sing David's parts.
I love how you talk about them in the present tense. This just goes to show you how sustainable, relative, and legendary their music was, is and always will be. This is actually my favorite Queen song!
Queen - Somebody To Love - HD Live 1981 Montreal Queen - Hammer To Fall - Live at Wembley 1986 Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy, and thank you good sir.

Nah, studio version. You lose the multi-layered harmonies completely in live versions, since it's impossible to do them live. The gospel vibe gets lost, too - it just becomes a rocker. The studio version is where the real soul of the song resides. Not that the live versions aren't great, but the original should be heard first in order to really get what the song is.

I saw Queen in Hartford CT in 198-3, I believe? From the time the spotlight hit Freddie until last word he sang, people could not turn their eyes away from him. And that voice, oh man. We went to concerts all up and down the East Coast almost every weekend, from 1970-1985. We saw some superstar bands for sure. This was the only concert I was ever at that none of us even remembered to light the joint. No weed, the entire concert. His voice and magnetism was hypnotizing. My favorite show ever. Oh yeah. Like the Eagles, Clapton, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc, the tickets were under ten bucks. The Stones at MSG in '72 was about 12 bucks. Just throwin that out there, lol! Miss you Freddie❤️.
Sooo glad you've circled back around to Queen! You're right, their most famous songs are not the only good ones! But the greats are great for good reason. I agree with others suggesting "Somebody to Love", "Fat Bottomed Girls," "Death On Two Legs". I think you'd like any of those.
You said you know We will rock you and We are the champions, i think you’ll know Another one bites the dust and maybe Under pressure or at least the bass line in that song. I suggest you react to Somebody to Love next and then react to the live performance.
I have not hear a bad Queen song. Love that that there is a variety. Not just rock songs but heavy metal, opera, pop and so on. Movie was great, was some inconsistance with the timeline in the movie but still good.
Have you heard Dave & Taylor of Foo Fighters talk about Queen? They call it The Book--how to take a studio song & perform it live. Dave Grohl said, "If Queen did it, then it's okay if we do it--not as well as Queen, but we can do it!"
Film is brilliant, seen it 6times, live aid concert good one to check out, somebody to love, fat bottomed girls, love of my life, save me, the list is very long for queen and beautiful Freddie 💔🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
@@timsmith1426 Technically A Kind Of Magic is the album, but many of the songs were used on the soundtrack. No official soundtrack was released for the movie.

Don't know if it's true or not either way it's a bloody good album and a top film.

3) Play

@spook Yep! I like Hot Space. And I don't feel at all guilty about that 😁
@spook Why the guilt, like at all? With Queen, it's pleasure period.
Welcome to the clean vocals of Freddie without the need of autotune. Natural and god given. Queen as a band.... genius.
No5 saying his voice was bad , it was AMAZING but you do know that auto tune wasn’t even around back then right?
@@crab2459 Think the point is back then if you couldn't actually sing? People could always tell.
