Pain meds do nothing but distract your mind from the pain, that’s what music does for me.

+10 points for catching a show on the Division Bell tour. -10 points for spelling David's name incorrectly. David Gilmour. A common mistake. Also, you would have seen this show in 1994, not 1995. Again, a simple mistake considering how long ago it was. It's a shame how short the Division Bell Tour was (all shows in 1994), considering it would be their last tour. The Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour was a very long tour, but I was just a tad too young to go. Fortunately, I caught two shows in 1994. Foxboro Stadium and Yankee Stadium.

I remember the security guards near the concourse all pointing at the mirror ball before it lit up. They were yelling "WHAT IS THAT?!" No one knew.. then BAM, it lit up, and everyone went nuts. Amazing. 😁
I got May and September 1994 in Atlanta. The first show I was way up in the nosebleeds and you could see the mirrored ball raise up from the center console but we didn't really know what it was until the lights hit it. One of those experiences that you have trouble explaining to someone who didn't see it too. The second show in September I had 8th-row dead center and some excellent LSD. That was the greatest concert experience of my life.
Saw this concert in Alabama and was so blown away went home to Atlanta and took the kids to see it again. My kids 1st concert at 14 yrs old, now 40 and still talks about it! Unbelievable experience!

The best version of this song is the "live 1980-81" version though.
I worked Division Bell at Yankee Stadium and Giants Stadium in '94. ran Follow Spot at Giants for the Showcall. I went up to Saugerties after and built Woodstock 94 for the next 5 weeks. It was a great Summer that I'll never forget!
He is better than good............Oh ! GOD.....That is more like it :)
Some would say Stairway to Heaven is #1. I'm not one
The whole song is an absolute masterpiece! The David Gilmour guitar solo is something else 😅👍👍
We miss you!! Best Rock reactions ever! Its good to know you are alive, happy and healthy!!
Jimmy Page's solo vs. Gilmour's here - tough call, but most would actually say Gilmour wins.
They're on oar with one another but this solo is just so damn fucking epic
And what would you say? Just curious. Not going to change my opinion, lol.
Best solo ever. He nail's every note to perfection. It's the culmination of a lifetime of playing.
I would like to add Lateralus to the conversation of greatest solos of all time
surely Gilmour
Pink floyd this it's not a concert or an event.... it's an EXPERIENCE!!!
I love your reaction and enthusiasm for the Floyd.
Listen to it again but without the interruptions... it’s a journey.
Es un sacrilegio detener en la mitad ese solo de guitarra catalogado una obra maestra!!
Ele já estava completamente exultante antes da execução!!
I was there, and the feeling of experiencing it has never left me.
Me too never seen a better gig since
U have a great life sir
I saw that show too, and remember leaving the arena after the show, thinking I owed floyd more money, because I only paid $65 for my seat.
I was there too. I was the janitor and they need people to fill in for security so they gave me a badge and taser. Later, Roger Waters invited me backstage and thanked me for the hard work and offered me a job. I worked security for them for 7 years and met George Clooney. I was transferred to Mr Clooney for work and through the rough times I got my name on a star on Hollywood Blvd.
Yes. It's not the fastest solo ever, it's not so hard to learn, but THIS IS THE BEST GUITAR SOLO EVER. It talks to your soul. Let me tell you, I've seen him play this live and I had tears rolling down .
it's no where near the best....he's not even considered top 5 guitarist. it's an easy song to play, depressing AF
@@christopherone1 yeah yeah whatever
@@christopherone1 if you can’t feel this song in your core your souls dog shit
@@hollyjoc97 guess it's dog shit then. I don't suffer from depression, mental illness, take heroin, do drugs...so, nope this song does nothing for me. it's depressing AF, as is all their music.
@@christopherone1 Jesus I dread to think what your playlist consists of if you can’t respect this as incredible music. Must be horrifying. You don’t have to like it but you really don’t know music and have missed the whole point (which is to create emotion) if you can’t respect what he does in this song. Either that, or you’re like 14
Hey Jamal I nearly cried and still just get those goose bumps. I'm a drummer and just seeing your reaction to comfortably numb . Wow
How in the hell could 674 people not like this video?? You’re awesome!🤟🏼😎
