Gotta do early queen. Fantastic stuff over shadowed by there radio hits. Fairy King and March Of The Black Queen.
3 years ago and ya'll still looking fly! Been on this channel for years, thanks for all the content guys!
Early Access means EARLY ACCESS, huh? 😅
Please reaction on sidhu Moosewala song Calaboose ❤️🔥👑❤️🔥👑👑👑
You seen the queen movie. Great film
Freddie was always in his prime
That's a FACT!
🙌 Amen!
FACT
No doubt!
Freddie was prime
"Don't Stop Me Now" was voted the happiest song of all time.
He's the greatest front man in the history of rock and roll!
A definite tie in my opinion baba
It’s so hard to pick my favorite, but Freddy is in the top 3. Fantastic.
If you really want to see Freddie's stage presence on it's full glory, you need to do the Live Aid concert! It's only 20 minutes but it really showcases Queen and Freddie's live performance on their full potential.
It is considered one of the greatest performances of all time by any band.
the best live performance of all time.
@@terrydavis7389 Not even Queen´s best peformance.
@@celtasnake I agree, I like the show in Montreal better, longer set
its considered the best because it was his last... it's good but it's not that good - MASSIVE Queen fan here... :)
@@Bandanko Em, no, it was not his last concert by any means, they did minimum 26 more concerts ( The Magic tour), being the final concert in Knebworth.
This song is legit an anti-depression therapy for me. Blast it and force myself to sing along. It never fails to lift my mood.
Freddie was always in his prime..his prime never left...
There's not many bands that put a smile on your face like Queen does. They appeal to all walks of life.
Why does your comment say 3 years ago?
@@spiritual9574 Time travel.
🧐
Except for homophobic, hateful people
George and Ryan,
You want to see Freddie in full stage presence watch the 18 video of Queen from Live Aid in 1985. One of the greatest live performances ever in rock history.
This is one of the most motivational songs in human history. I've heard it hundreds of times and get goosebumps every single time I hear it.
Agree 100 %. Gotta be careful when you go for a run. I always tend to overpace when listening to that song lol
You should really do the live aid concert :)
YESSS! The greatest performance ever!!
Agree here!!! Freddy Mercury at his best!
Please please please watch it his total best
That performance was so amazing
Yess! And watch the movie!!!
Scientifically proven to be the happiest song ever written.
Released in 1978 ..
The University of Missouri in 2016 did a study and declared this to be the happiest song ever written.....for real.
I believe it. I challenge anyone to be unhappy around Freddie.
Guys, LIVE AID '85!
20 Minutes of pure Magic! The highpoint of their career and one of the best performances ever.
there will only ever be one freddie. there may be others with similar ability... but freddie was, as george said, one in a lifetime. a star. the fact that him and david bowie were on planet earth at the same time... what a blessing to humanity.
Watch the Live Aid performance! It’s 18 minutes long, and they cover a range of their catalog and showcase their diversity!
Freddie had the most amazing voice, gives me chills.
So sad he passed so young. What a talent. The whole band was brilliant, but Freddie was something really special. Like Ella, Bing Crosby, Sinatra, and Karen Carpenter, these "voices" come along only once in a long, long time. There are many great singers, but these artists were in their own league.
Freddie was the best! Could sing any style from opera to metal.
The use of this song in the movie “Shaun Of The Dead” is absolutely perfect & completely hilarious 👍
Kill The Queen! What? The JUKEBOX!!
Such an amazing movie and such a great song choice for the scene!
I believe this song is also currently being used in a Toyota commercial.
"Kill the Queen!"
"What!?"
@@petercolson2990 "who put this on"
Live Aid will show you the incredible influence of Freddie with crowds, that audience was there for Live Aid, many bands playing for twenty minutes each on two continents, 10 satellites, 1 billion people watching, this in 1985!! Queen stole the show,
Ay-Oh (a big hint for performance greatness) is known as the sound heard around the world!! Don't miss this, it's iconic!! ❤ Love you guys, Freddie, Brian, Roger and John!!! ❤
Please do the whole Queen portion of Live Aid! It is the most amazing live performance ever!
Cool, each member had they're own unique 'engine', they were the first band to be inducted into the songwriters hall of fame, all members had hit songs.
Seen them live in 84 RDS Dublin, man oh man, something to behold.
Have to do “Somebody to Love” live in Montreal. I swear it is one of the greatest live performances EVER! It is a MUST see.
Absolutely!! It showcases Freddie’s brilliance
Friend of mine said he saw Queen in a small venue in Washington State while they were on their rise. He said it was the best live performance he’d ever seen, said Freddie was incredible to see in person.
I was blessed to have seen Queen twice in concert. Incredibly amazing shows. Mr. Mercury was phenomenal and we’ll never have another prize like him!
Love Queen! As others have suggested, Somebody to Love (live in Montreal, 1981) and Queen's set from the Live Aid concert from 1985. Incredible performances! 💖😎
I LOVE watching people experience Queen, ESPECIALLY “Don’t Stop Me Now!” This, “Somebody To Love,” and “Under Pressure” always bring me to happy tears 🥹
Much love, guys!
The two best examples of his spectacular stage presence were their show in Montreal, and at Live Aid.
and live at wembley 86 and rock in rio 85 crowd of 250k
Queen IS a crown jewel in music. Doesn't have to be playlist. It's still damn good.
Bob Marley and the wailers, Queen, and Daft punk are performers that I know would give me chills up and down my spine if I had an opportunity to watch them live.
Freddie owned any stage he stood on! Heck, he owned any space he stood in. One of a kind, that's for sure.
Freddie was something else he was the beast
Queen at Live Aid 1985, 20 minutes of pure fire 🔥 , one you simply have to watch.
Saw them live in 1978. One of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen many. I was on the floor in the sixth row and for the encore we all walked up to the stage. I was 10 ft away from that man! High energy is what he was. And pure talent.
So fun fact all four members write and have written #1 hits for the band. For instance the bassist John Deacon wrote Another One Bites The Dust. The guitarist Brian May who is also a rocket scientist and astrophysicist wrote We Will Rock You. His voice his actually my favorite. Listen to the Queen song All Dead All Dead or Sail Away Sweet Sister. Brian sings on those. Also Freddie was bisexual. The Queen song Love Of My Life is about his true love Mary Austin. Give them a listen.
Queen is my favorite band, and I don't say that lightly. Queen is my favorite band. One of the things that made them so incredible was that every band member wrote songs for Queen, which is why you get so many different kinds of songs from them.
Also, the Prince comparison is dead-on.
Just want to share that my brother and I, along with a cousin and a good buddy got to see Queen live in Oakland, CA, with Freddie. We were blown away by his stage presence and the bands amazing show. We were fans from their early beginnings, before they went pop. We didn't care for the pop songs very much, but it helped bring them to the masses. This song "Don't Stop me now" was not a big pop hit here in the US, but man I remember thinking, one day, people will actually listen to this song, and it will inspire a lot of people. Funny almost 40 years later it's more popular now than it was when it came out. My young nieces and nephews have adopted this song as one of their favorite Queen songs. Last year 2 of them performed the song via Karaoke during a Christmas Gathering. I love hearing young kids listening and appreciating great music of yesterday. Thanks to the Bohemian Rhapsody movie that for me finally gave Freddie the world wide acclaim that was due to him.
One of those bands respected more retroactively than when they were actually together.
Not that they weren't popular in their prime, but there were plenty of naysayers back then.
Like John Travolta, they had a resurgence. For _Queen_ thanks to their _'Live Aid'_ performance!
There will never come another Freddie Mercury. Godspeed for the most astonishing Voice Rock Music has ever heard.
Queen’s “Somebody to Love” video live in Montreal ‘81 is incredible. That is a must watch. Long runs, y’all would really enjoy it!!
Also their lead guitarist Brian May is a very interesting unique character himself. PhD in astronomy among other accolades, and he and his dad actually built his first guitar.
Freddie was born to be a true rock icon and legend.
For people who dont know of queen all that well.. or didnt realize that queen did this song or that(i was one) and then you start going down the rabbit hole and seeing this band in all its glory .. they have been an influence.. and will continue to do so!! HER MAJESTY…. QUEEN!!
I’ve been listening to Queen since the 1970’s and they just got better and better. Apart from Bohemian Rapsody, the Live Aid concert absolutely showcased their talent and Freddie’s vocal brilliance
I always see Sean of the dead when I hear this now...the jukebox while fighting the zombie bartender. The zombies outside like a concert crowd with the flashing lights was awesome. 😂
Dragon Attack is one of John Deacons best bass lines.
Good shout!
Freddie is and always will be the most amazing front man ever. He was a showman and had the most amazing voice.
There live performances are all iconic and legendary. There music is timeless.
Simply the vocal Goat of all time. RJ Dio is in the same ballpark along with Michael but Freddie could go from Operatic to Heavy Rock without blinking.
This is my all time favorite Queen song, just because everything about it is so much fun! Listening to it always puts a smile on my face, no matter what else may be going on.
My youngest son is a complete metal head that listens to Slayer and Slipknot, but this is his fave. Queen song. It's like a total Broadway tune and he loves it. lol I didn't see that coming.
Live aid ‘85.
Queen owned the stage.
I was there and there were many excellent performances at Wembley on that boiling hot day,the who, status quo etc but Freddie and the boys nailed it.
Freddie wrote this song !!! R.I.P. Freddie Mercury !!! 🙏
Probably the greatest front man of all time. There’s some debate about it but he probably edges out everyone. What a treasure. Imagine not having any songs from queen to listen to. The world is way better for them being in it.
Somebody To Love has to be next on your Queen list. Many people like the live version but I prefer the studio.
Most of QUEENS BIGGEST SONGs are from the 70s Dont stop me now Came out in 1978
They all wrote hit songs but Freddie's are my favourites.
That Jazz album cover to cover is by far my fave. So good
They had a Queen musical in Vegas for a while. It was called "We Will Rock You".
I saw it years ago and it featured tons of Queen's music and was written by guys in the band.
To see him live was an “experience” of a lifetime.
I second any and all comments on doing a Queen live aid reaction. You will have never seen any performance where the frontman has absolute control over a whole stadium. He's without doubt the greatest frontman there's ever been.
Even when he met the band as they were looking for a singer he told them "I'm going to be a legend."
FYI - Freddie had an intriguing physical phenomenon called subharmonics that he used to drive his vocals to the limit. Subharmonic is a form of singing where the vocal folds vibrate along with a pair of tissue structures called ventricular folds. This form of singing is only used by Tuvan throat singers of Mongolia, except in a more extreme way.
Also, Freddie’s vocal cords vibrated at 7.04 Hz - higher than a typical vibrato range of 5.4 Hz to 6.0 Hz. To put it more scientifically, the famous opera singer Luciano Pavarotti produced a perfect sine wave for vibrato when he sang - a value of 1. Freddie, on the other hand, averaged a value of 0.57 - which means he was vibrating something in his throat even Pavarotti couldn’t move.
Most people have no idea that the Guitarist Brian May @8:39 co-founded Queen with Freddie Mercury and went on to become a well-known Astrophysicist and was eventually Knighted. He has gone on to perform with Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga.
Freddie was a force of nature, but all the other guys in the band were fantastic musicians and singers, too. Can't sit still when this one is playing!
Freddie was the greatest frontman ever . He was at a different level
You mentioned Prince and Freddie loved Prince. A personal assistant of his said that Freddie had a habit of coming in from a night out or something and playing a VHS of the Prince concert. And forced anyone around to watch. He would pause, rewind, go forward, and excitedly comment on what he saw.
From "Men's Health" Magazine, May 2021:
"Ever notice a song come on and before you know it, you’re boogieing the night a way or you’re singing every lyric. Certain songs just have that effect on you. But now researchers have crunched the numbers and turns out there is indeed a happiest song on earth.
According to a new study conducted by the University of Missouri, Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ is the happiest song on earth.
After surveying a group of 2000 Brits about their favourite tracks, neuroscientist Jacob Jolij devised a happiness formula by analysing 126 songs over a 50 year period.
Jolij determined beats per minute, the key, theme and examined the lyrics of songs that had the highest score.
‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ fits the bill, and fittingly, two-thirds of study participants listed the banger as their favourite tune.
“The pattern was very clear. The average tempo of a ‘feel good’-song was substantially higher than the average pop song. Where the average tempo of pop songs is around 118 beats per minute (BPM), the list of feel good songs had an average tempo of around 140 to 150 BPM,” writes Jolij."
One of the few songs that makes me wanna cry of happiness
Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. You will be blown away
My R&B a la Queen is a ballad from "Highlander" called ONE YEAR OF LOVE. Soars! For fun I love COOL CATS. You want a sampler shot of Queen LIVE, there's always LIVE AID 1985 (Global benefit concert for faminine in Ethiopia). Queen wasn't announced till late, but that didn't stop them from commanding right out of the gate.
I think this goes on like a - mopping the kitchen - type playlist, singing and goofing while doing chores
I LOVE THIS SONG!!! It is one of my favorite songs to get hyped and a great car song. One of my top favorite Queen songs and just one of my all time favorite songs ever!
It's great seeing you guys smiling throughout that video. I'm pretty sure that's exactly how Freddie Mercury and Queen would want you to respond to this song. Just a good fun rock n roll pop song. Good pick for a reaction.
Yup, its the Live Aid concert you should watch. Its Unbelievable.
I love Freddie so much, which is why my peeps are shocked when they hear me say that he is not THE greatest voice. That honor goes to Steve Perry. Not even Freddie can touch him.
thanks guys -check out Queen live at Wembley - over 80,000 in attendance from 1986. You won't be disappointed.
Freddie used to sing with his back to the audience when he first started because he was so nervous...... unbelievable
Their live performance in Montreal 1981, Somebody to Love = 💥🤯
Watching this reaction, how many times did they reach to react and thought 'don't stop this' just now. Mission Accomplished.
I can’t watch Freddie performing without tearing up.
I don't think I ever clicked on one of your videos this quickly. This is one of my favorite songs ever. :)
I am so blessed to have been there to see him live while he was alive. ❤️
That shit live WAS incredible! I saw Queen in concert in the 80’s in West Germany.
I absolutely LOVE Queen .. and I used to love this song ... till I heard Brian May saying he didn't want to release it because of what it was actually about .. It has a darker meaning ..
You really want to see Freddie at his inimitable best, watch/listen to Queen Live in Montreal 1981...The entire concert is spectacular, but in particular 'Somebody to love'. All I can say about dear Freddie❤ is thank God he used his powers for good...otherwise the world would have been in big big trouble.
All of Queen's Live Aid performance was soooo gooood!!! Queen apparently was not scheduled to appear at Live Aid but they were called at the last minute to fill a vacant spot, may have been a group that no-showed. Freddie apparently also had a high fever during the whole performance but you couldn't tell! What a legendary band and Live Aid performance!!!
I saw this tour.Queen - Jazz
Got my father to take myself and friend when in 6th grade.(circa 78)
You need to check out the performance from Live Aid. It is about 20 minutes long and acknowledged as one of the greatest live performances of all time. The quote at the time was that Freddie held the mic in one hand and the world in the other!
That Gap Band reference just cracked me up! You guys are the best man...us rock music fans, and I'm sure a lot of us appreciate you guys. It sparks new interest in the music that we grew up with in the 70s and 80s...Keep the faith!
Your reactions to Queen has become our new obsession!
Artful pop music with Queen at its best.
This will pop in your head when you least expect it, especially when driving!
“I want it all” - the video version. Really worth it
"I won't be a rock star. I'll be a legend." ~ Freddie Mercury ~ I saw Queen and Freddie in all his glory Nov 24, 1981 in Montreal. An unforgettable concert.
Hope you guys noticed the amazing orchestral sound coming out of Brian May's guitar..his HOMEMADE, hand built guitar that he & his dad created in their garage when he was a teenager.
They made it from things like wood from a 100 year old fireplace mantel, mother of pearl buttons & knitting needles from his mom's sewing box etc. It's called The Red Special & is one of the most famous guitars in the world, considered literally priceless.
Btw, Brian is officially Dr. Brian May..an astrophysicist who has collaborated with NASA, an author, inventor of a special kind of stereoscopic photography & also one of Britain's foremost animal welfare activists. All that along with being one of the best guitarists in Rock history.
He's a one-a-trillion type person, just as Freddie was. And Roger Taylor & John Deacon are pretty damn special too.
💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙
you should check him out singing Barcelona that is when you see him not in his natural environment.... but he still kills it
You guys should explore some of Freddie’s “vocals only” tracks. His voice takes your breath away. There’s a version of this song that’s his vocals only, also Somebody to Love is a great one.
You have to react to Queen at Live Aid. Only a 20 min set often regarded as the best live performance in history by any band
Queen Live AID full performance is incredible
Queen did/still have a musical based on them called We Will Rock You
