    That was really cool. I am a professional silversmith and I teach silversmithing classes online and privately to individuals in their homes and now that Covid-19 is getting somewhat better. You made this look so easy I do some why are rapping and I’ve never really done coils because I thought it was going to be really hard to do. I’m so glad I watched this video because you executed it perfectly!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!! I’m definitely going to give this a try….

    I've often thought of using a drill for coiling because of the difficulty hand coiling and discomfort from my arthritis. I like the way you showed how to fix problems as they arise. Thank you for sharing.. a new subscriber. PS I will share my jewelry making friends ☺

    A great video, i loved seeing how you incorparated, the coils in to the pendant design, that part was absolutely special and it really made this video overall awesome. I really like coil designs, and i want to learn more coil designs, because i think there are not enough coil design, videos on RUclips, and i dont really have enough knowledge and experience, to refer back to in how to use and apply coil wire designs, ive only made one necklace design out of coiled wire, i just need more ideas and inspiration, thank you for this wonderful video, i already subscribed and gave your video a like, thanks Laura in uk

    Thanks for sharing! it’s funny I ran across this when I did! Surprisingly there isn’t much info out there on determining how much wire is needed for coils if you are specifically looking for wire wrapping/jewelry making etc… I did find formulas on how to do the math to figure it out but it was related to wire wrapping solenoids/electic motors/making springs and so on which was actually quite simple once I found it but to be honest your 1:4 ratio gets it almost just as close so unless I’m wrapping with gold or silver I’m gonna stick with yours haha. Thanks again😁👍

    Many Thxs Melissa for this tutorial and all that you do!❤️ My question is do you have a link to projects that you’ve used this coiling or other coiling techniques with? As a beginner it would be helpful if you could direct me to a link that has completed coiled jewelry? If you do not have links, please consider doing tutorials to this effect! Again, in Gratitude! Blessings to you!🙏🏽🌹

    I'm definitely late to the party! You are so talented! I've been searching on how to videos for this exact thing forever! I've been discouraged with me attempts because my coils keep snapping when I try using the drill.. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong so I've just been twisting them by hand which takes ages.. 😩 😵‍💫 🥴 Do you have any tips for keeping them in tact? It's it possible my gages are just too small? Thanks for sharing your talent with us! ♥️

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  Месяц назад +1

      Put a right angle in the wire to lock it into the drill and make sure the wire that comes out is dead center as best you can ☺️

    What’s your formula for determining how long you need to make the initial coil on the drill? If you said it I think I missed it.

    • @ZurickDesigns
      @ZurickDesigns  2 года назад

      I make about 4 times the length. Of course different size wire may vary that measurement but that’s what I go by

    my wire always snaps at part it's connecting to drill? i've tryed slower, will lower tension, nothing helps, could it be quality of wire?

    So, to make a 2" finished coil, you coiled 8" on the drill? Is this the standard math?
