I think your weaving techniques are just beautiful and I’m so grateful for your tutorials. I’m learning a lot and I’ve been using cheaper wire and just basic tools because I don’t want to waste expensive wire by weakening it by having to undo parts and redo them. I’m going to be trying this one out to make a replacement wedding ring for myself, ours don’t fit anymore and we need a new start, so thank you for your tutorials, I can’t wait to other weaves out! I’m going to try a different style for his ring, but I figured if I can make it with the cheaper silver plated wire, then I’ll move up to the actual sterling silver wire for the final pieces. Thank you so much!
Your tutorials are always so helpful! I always struggle with setting stones well, and your videos are the best by far for teaching how to set. I would have never figured I could set a 3 mm stone with wire before this! If you have any other methods for setting stones that you haven't made videos on, I would love to see them! Those are the hardest to find reliably online.
Seriously I almost dumped an insane amount of money on stone setting equipment. I found myself with handfuls of tiny precious gems and no way to incorporate them into my wire wraps.. you saved me! Thank you for your tutorials!!
Omg thank you. I've been wanting to make this weave but I just couldn't grasp, oh I don't know. It's hard to explain but what Ian trying to say is that you have been the first to get it in my head what I need to do and how to do it. You're an amazing artist and instructor. Thank you so much!
Great video love this weave and setting, glad I found your video. I'm just a beginner in wire wrapping. I appreciate that your video is easy to understand and follow great lesson. I'm a new subscriber
I notice how you hold the weave with your left point finger as you weave the figure 8. Many of us have had trouble making that weave look tight and neat and to stay that way while weaving. Wish I had seen that a couple of years ago! Another great video!
Wow amazing thanks so much for the technique! Ive learned many techniques from you and I appreciate your informative videos. It really helps improve my work over all and Im very thankful ❤
Is there a way you can tell us how to make the entire ring I'm beginning doing rings and I came upon this tutorial of yours and loved it will love to know how to finish it so I can make it for my significant other thank you in advance and for your time showing how to set this stones up great job and wonderful instructions too. 👏🥰🎁🌹
As far as I am concerned, your wire work is amongst the very best I've ever seen! The work is beautifully finished and executed and the designs are exquisite! I do have a question about something I'd love to see you make a video on. How would I add this component to a ring shank for example?? Also, you know that wire prong setting video you recently made? Well how could I join that one to a ring shank as well? Would that be the most efficient way? Or would it be best to incorporate the necessary wires for the setting, when initially forming the shank? I think all those wire ends really intimidate me LOL. But I'm heading off today to start my adventure in wire wrapping and purchasing a mess of less expensive copper wire to learn! Thank you so much! Best. Marianne
I enjoy your videos and you are a great teacher. I have seen a couple of your videos were you do these settings but what do you use them for? Can you please do a video that shows you actually using them in a piece of jewelry?
Hi, Love your videos. I'm going to try this with one 12mm faceted stone. I'm not sure how to start. I'm new to this. I bought a pretty stone without a hole so I'm hoping I can use it.
Hi, may I ask what size was the stone you placed in the setting? I'm looking to learn something strong for small stones that doesn't need torch firing etc. Thanks
I love your videos as an art degree grad who has had no real space to work post-graduation. I'm finally at a point where I have a small setup at home that would be best for wire-work and torch-free projects. I was wondering if you had any advice for where to start with materials? I have a Rio account, but I'm unsure about what quantities/gauges/hardness to focus on. Any advice would be helpful!
Will this work if I substitute hald round for square for just the center "setting" wires, while using square for the outside "weave" wires. Should I use matching gages or use 21 square and 20 half round? Anyone tried this. Edit: you amswered my question at the end.. Which poses a new question. . . would this pattern work with 3×5 oval Facets?
Hi, I like your work a lot! But i've got a question. You are talking, example, about 28 gage(?). How is gage spelled? I am from the Dutch and need the exact word for translate to order the materials. Thank u for the good video's!!

Many years ago I bought a number of these tiny stones. Now I can use them. I love listening to you voice as you do what you love.
Once again another awesome tutorial. Thanks again for your time to film, edit and post these tutorials. You are an astonishing educator.

This is beautiful!!! I appreciate you showing the mistake, let’s face it all jewelry makers make mistakes! Great video!!! This is a cool design!
Omg thank you. I've been wanting to make this weave but I just couldn't grasp, oh I don't know. It's hard to explain but what Ian trying to say is that you have been the first to get it in my head what I need to do and how to do it. You're an amazing artist and instructor. Thank you so much!

Love your work. You ever read L Ron Hubbard Mission Earth Dekology?
Hi, Love your videos. I'm going to try this with one 12mm faceted stone. I'm not sure how to start. I'm new to this. I bought a pretty stone without a hole so I'm hoping I can use it.
Amazing!! Thank You Nolan!!
Can you bend a channel setting into a bracelet with the stones along the top ? Or will it make the stone loose ???

Do you have a tutorial that helps me not to SUCK at wire wrapping? That is beautiful
Is it silver wire you're using? Nice work! Thank you.
I had been wondering how people set small stones like that in a weave, thanks so much for showing this! Also, what kind of dog do you have 😂?
I have two pits! Hazel and Willow, usually it’s willow making her appearance in my videos though, Hazel is pretty quiet 😂

what brand and model liers do you use?
I’m wondering the same thing lol
@@PanicTheCrowing All great minds think alike and fools seldom differ! Good Pliers are everything!
Thank you so much it is lovely although I have no doubt I will not succeed because it looks really hard
Is your 21ga dead soft or half hard?
Is that square wire dead soft?
Is it dead soft? Half hard square? Hard?
Dead soft

It's gauge! English and it's inserting unneeded letters all over lol
What is the width of the end tip of your pliers?
I wish someone would do a pattern with larger materials, it is very hard to see wire placement.
Please use a darker contrasting background,it’s difficult to see the wires on the light background.
A darker background would make this easier to see and understand.
Great tutorial, but it’s too far away and I can’t see what’s going on very well.
So people send you money?
Where do you get your wire? I can’t seem to find square wire anywhere I’ve looked
