I had been searching for years for how to wire set faceted stones, how to make prongs, etc. without soldering. I'm so happy to have come across your channel. Now I can confidently configure the plan I drew years ago!
OH my goodness, you've just opened up a whole new world for me.
I inherited a box of gemstones that are all shapes and sizes that I have struggled to make bezels for in the traditional way. Thank you so much.
PLEASE KEEP TRYING AND WATCH ANDREW BERRY edit: you got this
Hey folks! I just used this for silver-filled, with 22 g in round wire, and it totally still works. I think it would also work with 24, but I wouldn't go below that. (Maybe 24 for a small stone?) Round wire is trickier because you won't have as sharp a bend and it won't snap together as cleanly as square, but it's doable.
You make this look so effortless! It took me three solid tries to get that basket pulled together. I love the final result for a 4 ct. Welo Opal
It is really phenomenal that you freely share your knowledge and genius. Thank you!
THANK YOU!! This has been what's keeping me from making decent jewelry my entire life! 😭😭😭 I can't express how appreciative I am of this video. AND ITS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND
Another great tutorial, and at exactly the right time, as I’ve been trying to figure out this procedure for the last week or so. Thanks for giving us another great technique to incorporate into our work!
Beautiful! This has a great symmetry to it which very much adds to the stone without covering up the cut 😍
Just completed this in copper with a cubic zirconia, It's definitely not perfect ...but I did it! ...You saved my life with this, I've been trying to figure out how to set two stones for a very specific custom .. and this is perfect! As ever, thank you so much for everything you share!
This is an absolutely brilliant method for prong settings. I used it for an ammonite fossil which is, of course, odd shaped. I just altered the distance between prongs at the pointed end and it worked wonderfully! Thank you. I will use this often.
Can't tell you how much I LOVE this. I have been trying to make a proper Basket for stones, THIs Is IT !!!!! Bless You my Friend!!!!!
Thx homie. I've been trying to figure out an easier way to set and this is just what I needed... long-distance highfive ✋
I appreciate what you're doing... thx again -kris
Absolutely amazing. Tried it with a 20x12x6 mm stone, and it came out quite nicely! Thanks for the tutorial!
Best tutorial ever. Seriously, you do an awesome job and I love the length of the video as well.
This is a great tutorial! You make it very easy to follow. Thank you so much for creating free content. For self-starters like myself who are disabled, you make it possible for me to continue to expand my library of techniques as I learn this new art form. 🤗
I love your mellow teaching voice, and your clear concise teaching style.
I attached my basket to a ring and loved it. It took me three tries before I was completely satisfied with the procedure and the outcome. That being said I would love to see you make a video showing how you would tackle the process.😍
Oh my goodness! This is the best claw setting tutorial ever. I got beautiful results on my first attempt, using round wire too. Its even gorgeous on the back. This will be my go-to setting from now on. I can finally use all of my pretty diamond cut gems that I've been hoarding. Thank you!
I absolutely love how you made this prong setting. Thankyou so much, a much easier way than what I have been trying. 🤩💖
Fiiiinnnalllyyy!!! Been looking forever for a wire wrap version of prong setting. A gazillion thank yous!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was ingenious! I can already see how I'd do a ring from that (incorporating weaving)! Thanks!
Really like the little round corners of the prong component. TY so much for this great tutorial.
Glad it was helpful!
Another very great way to secure the less valuable opals I cut to my wire wrap projects. Thanks!!
Perfect, something to work on while stuck at home! Thank you brotha!

I love how you set this stone can you show how you would do it for a ring
I was just wondering the same thing. How to add it to a Pharaoh's style ring.
Looks like we are all thinking of rings.....lol. Thank you for teaching us how to set a stone.

I think I got all that I need to do some of your projects ❤ Spent a wad of money, but I got everything ♥️ Up to now, I have been playing around with round wire ❤ Now it is time to upgrade to half round and square wires ♥️ This time I bought all copper because I want to use them for practice, until I can be better ❤ Keep bringing those videos on ♥️ Thank you ❤

Super cool and you make it look so easy! Thanks bunches!
I admire your videos so much you explain and demonstrate everything to a T. It would be satisfying if all videographers would take a page from your book on how to demonstrate how to do a project, there would be less mistakes made and jewelry would turn out the first time. Thank you for the wonderful video's!
