OMG, I can't believe this video is actually 8-years old🤯 I am a beginner at wire weaving and have watched many wire weaving tutorials and your tutorial, by far, is the BEST and most informative for a beginner especially using a colored wire, how brilliant❤ Thank you for being such a great teacher❤❤❤
I agree with the last comment. I have been looking at tutorials for the wire weaving and I can actually pick up on what you are doing. I have been unable to tell exactly what the other tutorials were doing. It gets aggravating. But I completely picked up on what you are doing. You are a great teacher for this. Thanks Another beginner
Hi Your Tutorial is Super Amazing.. I'm New at Wire Weaving, and I love it.. When You Truly get to Wire Wrap a Whole Piece that You are Interested in it takes me to another Level.. I love it!! Thank You so Much.. Appreciate You For Sharing
I just want to tell you that you are by far the BEST TEACHER I have done all kinds of beading for years and doing wire Jewelry. I have always wanted to learn to weave and wrap stones but when I look at them I have always been very overwhelmed. Well I found your 2 base weaves and thought this is it I'm going to learn. I spent about a week on the 2 wires until I could sit down and make each one without going back to the tutorial. I started the 3 wire today. I think because I know the 2 wire the 3 was a lot easier not neat and tidy but I wasn't intimidated either. I live the idea of saving them on a hook to refer to. I have started mine. Thank you again for your tutorials Theresa
Thank you. I’ve watched several tutorials but yours has been very easy to follow. I think it’s because it’s not so overwhelming with just the wiring and not doing a complete project when trying to learn first steps. I’ll keep practicing.
Thank you for this tutorial. I'm new to the wire working jewelry and I love everything I see! I've seen wire weaving using macrame stitches and I'm excited 😊 over that method as well. Then I saw chain mail jewelry, and guess what I love ❤️ that too. I also do beading and I'm learning as I go. Thank the good Lord I'm retired and have time to play and learn new things. Wire weaving techniques has piqued my interest and I want to learn how to do them all! So your tutorial is a blessing to me. Thank you 🙃
Hi Claire, I am so very glad that you are enjoying the videos! I so wish I was retired so I could spend more time with making all kinds of jewelry (not to mention more videos). Ah well, one day! Meanwhile, I hope you are having lots of fun -- best wishes! :D
hi. im new to wire wrapping and i love it. but one of my challenges are the ends og the weaving wire. What to do with them? I don’t won’t that anybody get hurt or damages the clothes. Could you help me out? Please? thanx in advance. And just for the record: I love your tutorials ❤ Manuela
Great tutorial, awesome video and instruction, VERY easy to follow and get. Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic talent with those who wish to learn. I truly appreciate it, so much! :)
Hi, I'm just getting into wire weaving and I've found your video very useful and easy to follow. I'm keeping my practice ones so I can go back and pick which one I want to use for a certain project. I caught the names of the first 2 weaves, but not sure of the names of the others. Could I please have the names of them? so I can put them with my examples until I learn them. Thankyou 😊.
I really like how you used the turquoise color to illustrated what you are doing. That was a very smart thing to do because for those of us who have not done any kind of weaving since we were kid, over 40 years ago, you clearly show what you were doing as you were talking us through it. Some other tutorials are very good too, but they do it very fast and you get lost and the end result is something different and you do not know where or how you went wrong. Thank you so much. I know this might be kind of dumb, but the pendant wrap that you showed was very nice, but I cannot find any on how to do that and you have a very clear voice and you are easy to understand. Do you have a video tutorial on how to do that or know where I might find one? I've wanted to do this for a long time now. I have a very sweet fried who passed away in 1999 and she use to do this with no tutorials and had to learn. I probably have one of the largest collection of her wrapped stone, usually raw, jewelry of anybody, but felt I could never learn and you really do know how to walk people through it and talk so patiently while you do it.
Hi Shannon, I have plans to do a tutorial on a pendant -- it's just finding the time. But it's definitely on my to-do list! I'm glad that using the turquoise wire for demonstrations was helpful for you! :)
Just subbed, found this super helpful! But I was wondering if you use bare copper wire because I want to oxidize my work and am just learning but am unsure, would pure copper also work for oxidizing?
Hi Rueber, thanks for the question. Staying uniform is most of the battle -- if your wraps are clean and compressed, your work will be stronger. The other part is how you finish your work -- no loose ends or sharp pieces anywhere. I hope this helps your question! :)
Hi Chelsie, you can slip on beads, although if the project will get a fair amount of wear and tear (like a bracelet), I'd almost want to use a 24 gauge for the weaving wire. Or, you could weave in beads after the fact. Sounds like I need a video with wire weaving and beads! ;)
As I said before, awesome tutorials! How do you size your bracelets? I have my size and my wife's size....haha. But how many different sizes, and what lengths are they, do you typically make? Thanks soooo much!!
Hi! That's a good question, sizing bracelets, and I'm not sure I have a particular rule. I think that the "average" size for a woman is 7 inches, but that certainly varies, depending on the width of the bracelet, and how loose one likes to wear them (I hate tight bracelets). I thought I heard that 9 inches was the average size of a man's wrist. One way to help with sizing is when the clasp (if there is one) can be adjustable. I know this probably doesn't help a whole lot...but I hope it's helped some!
Beaded Jewelry Diva It helped a lot and thank you! I'm the guy that makes everything out of recycled materials. You've answered my questions before and that helped immensely. Thank you again!!

Does the basket weave on wire (maybe 3 base wires) look good as using to secure an oval cabochon?
Have you done tutorials for those finished pieces shown at the end of this video? I'd love to give them a try. You are really good!!! Thank you.

Hi Edna -- thanks for viewing! :)
Great video! Thanks for making it!
You are very welcome! And I just put up another one, for 4 base wires. :)
A Bergie Creation ty. for you're helping me and. my son do art together..
I wonder what happens if you run electricity through that. Will it be an inductor?
How did you attach the wire weaves to the stones?
Não é difícil, só tem que prestar bastante a atenção
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you, Mary. :)
Thank you go art... Your an anchor in my wire weaving life. (( 😜
Really enjoyed this tutorial! Absolutely inspiring. Wishing you a beautiful day x)
simply staying uniform in the wrapping sequences it all it needed to maintain it. . .?
Hi Rueber, thanks for the question. Staying uniform is most of the battle -- if your wraps are clean and compressed, your work will be stronger. The other part is how you finish your work -- no loose ends or sharp pieces anywhere. I hope this helps your question! :)
If you were to slip on a bead ever couple of loops, do yo think that would work or it would eventually break the thin wire?
Hi Chelsie, you can slip on beads, although if the project will get a fair amount of wear and tear (like a bracelet), I'd almost want to use a 24 gauge for the weaving wire. Or, you could weave in beads after the fact. Sounds like I need a video with wire weaving and beads! ;)
Just what I was thinking!
Thank You ,,, This was Great.
You are very welcome, Jan. :)
What’s the trick to keeping the base wires parallel?
As I said before, awesome tutorials! How do you size your bracelets? I have my size and my wife's size....haha. But how many different sizes, and what lengths are they, do you typically make? Thanks soooo much!!
