Thanks you so much for taking the mystery out of headies. Now I can make a frame and add the coils I keep making ,and add some stones. You explain perfectly
I love your work. It's always beautiful. I'm pretty much still a beginner but I can't wait to try this. I think it'll make a beautiful bracelet. Thank you for showing how to make this.
Oxana I have the coiling gizmo and you say that you have to keep taking it off to get a longer coil. When you take it off are you kinking the coil as you continue to coil? I did one using the length of the gizmo and it only made about three inches. I really like the looks of this , thank you for showing us.
I was so glad to find your video today! I was really fighting with this yesterday and this helped a lot. One question, please? How do you make a longer coil with your Coiling Gizmo? I was trying to figure this out too. Thank you! I love your videos and your teaching style!
Unfortunately you are limited in length by the little rods that come with it. But if you get some hard wire(it can't be the normal dead soft because it is too floppy) you can make your own rod. I got some thin stainless steel hard wire and was able to make a longer rod, you can also check out a hardware store in case they have something you could use
Just a question, please. My english is not so good so I'll try to be the clearest possible. If you make three tubolars, how you can join them to create a triple coil collar? put like that more or less: 0 00
You started part way through. Maybe you could show the whole technique? I have no idea how you did the first coil. Was it by hand? Please clarify. Thank you. Peace.✌️✨💖✨😁
I have a video on that, this is kind of a continuation of that video so that's why I started with coil. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/IrZyawF15FQ/видео.html
Thank you so much for your tutorials! What type of bare copper wire should I get (to start weaving with base wires)? I have 28g and 30g dead soft, but I don't know whether to get half hard or dead soft 22 gauge wire for the base wires. I have 20 dead soft, but my thumbs bend them as I wrap and it looks horrible :/ any advice would be DEEPLY appreciated! Thank you ♡
I use dead soft, I get my 22 gauge from MonsterSlayer. 20 gauge will work as well. I am sorry, I do not have half hard and have not used that before. You can use the coiling gizmo to wrap the second portion and then slide it off and place it onto the base wire, perhaps that would help.
Hello big sister! I need to make a hoop with this coiled model with a length of 40mm. Could you tell me the measured length of yarn and length? gratitude 😊🙏
sorry I don't know how to calculate the length needed, I just grabbed a long piece of wire for this video and made whatever length it allowed me to make.
@@OxanaCrafts It's not a problem! I made the free hand! still yes I am very grateful for your attention! I've admired your work for years! And I wish you all sorts of blessings and boundless success today and always!🙂
Finally I have been looking for good instructions for this for a while! Thank you for the details! Curious, where do you get your larger spools of wire? I hate buying smaller lengths at craft stores.
Ooooo im going to get in trouble on these sites! lol ^_^ have you tried just using a drill for coiling? i like it alot better its much faster! and if you get one the cheap drills that only takes hex screw heads you can make your own posts (albeit on the larger side, im still looking for smaller ways). Im thinking of making a video to share with people.
SleepyAux Music Hiya, I saw that you were looking for larger spools of wire. The best place for this is Jewellery Maker. You can buy from 10mtrs to 100mtr spools. The wire is just brilliant for wire wrapping, comes in various colours and various gauges and best of all it's at fantastic prices. Go on line and put in jewellery maker.com. Hope this helps
Great tutorial! Can't wait to give the gizmo a try. Do you have instructions or a tutorial on how to make the extra long coil? I can't seem to find any info on it. Did you just pull it off the handle and keep going? Thanks!
this is just a video on how to make coils, it is not a finished project, so your coil can be any length, it depends on what you plan to use it for. In my other videos, like my second to most recent one, it is a pendant made with coil, and I state how long everything needs to be for it to work as a pendant.
there is no specific length, the longer you make the wire the longer the final coil will turn out to be. I am not sure how to figure out the proportions of weaving wires to final coil length, I just used random length to demonstrate how to coil
ok got it...thanks for the info and for getting back to me so fast. I have the Professional Deluxe Coiling Gizmo that has long rods with it and gonna give this a try and make a bracelet out of it. I am new to wire wrapping so can you give me an idea how to finish the ends to make it into a bracelet please. I love all your tutorials and beautiful things you create, you must have a huge jewelry box to put it all haha. Thanks for all these great easy to follow videos
Does anyone use a drill for not only the initialLong straight coil, but for the second part (coiling the coil around yet another wire)? Is that even possible? I just made my very first long coil using 20g and 26g dead soft copper. In a lot of the videos on coiling, the person is using a really hard straight piece of metal, like for welding, and then they take the wire off and use just the plain coils as "beads" like sliding them onto memory wire. I have to use soft copper and silver or else it is too hard to tightly coil it around another wire. I have a coiling gizmo but all the holes and rods are too big, so now, a cordlessDrill. Demos?
I always use a drill. If you have a round solid metal (steel) piece you can put in Chuck of drill ( I think I purchased a length of thin braising rod, which is firm) (anything that makes a mandrel to the size you want and will fit into Chuck will work, along with a bit of the end of your fine gauge wire….tighten Chuck and then press drill button. You might want to secure the drill as I do: I usually have drill clamped upside down so I can use right hand med finger to press drill button and left thumb and index finger to keep wire in alignment. Takes maybe 10 minutes!
what brand of wire do you use? i have been searching but its so hard to find wire that isnt crappy copper cored or color coated copper. please help haha
+April Click The mandrel is not long enough to get a really long coil on the gizmo, I bought what I think is called guitar wire from newegg, and made my own longer one
+OxanaCrafts so the guitar wire is to replace the coiling wire that I would do myself on the coiling gizmo? I then would add the extra piece of straight wire to wrap the guitar wire If I wanted that look.
I like the look of this and it seems that it would work well using different color wires for the coils.
Thanks you so much for taking the mystery out of headies. Now I can make a frame and add the coils I keep making ,and add some stones. You explain perfectly
This is just so simple but looks so complicated, it turned out beautiful! I can't wait to make one myself. Thanks!👍
I've been looking everywhere for this! Thank you so much for making a tutorial :)
Your videos are so detailed and professional! Freaking love you!
Wow, now I actually know how to do this. I won't need to buy chain all the time & this will match the colors of my pendants.
thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I love your work! your instructions are well done and simple to follow. I will be trying this!!

Still new to this, but your tutorials are my favorite so far for sure! Your templates make it so easy to improvise so thank you!
Thank you Oxana! You always have such great ideas.
You can also do this whole coil on the coiling gizmo
Works aswesome
Thank you very much. This video brought a lot of ideas in my head.
Wow amazing Oxa really looks so pretty like that too. 🏆 very good job. Love the design you made it. Have a fabulous weekend🎈 🙋🏻🎈
thank you!

+Daina McDowell Yes, very time and wire consuming! :) THank you!

what kind of wire is that? and where do i get it? thanks for sharing your knowledge....
Love your coil! Now wish you would make a tutorial on how to incorporate it into a pendant wrap :)
I have lots of tutorials that use the coil in them, here's one: ruclips.net/video/BDDLCBho7q0/видео.html
Thank you for your amazing tutorial.
Very cool! Does this get pinchy on body hair? Kind of reminds me of a rope chain
To be honest I am not sure if it would or not, my guess is no because it has a fairly smooth feeling surface
Very cool look. Really loved this tutorial.

Really beautiful but what do you do when it turnish ?
I polish it up with a jewelry polishing cloth. Or you can use jewelry cleaner/tarnish remover

What gauge is that really long coil?
Eu gosto muito do seus videos você esta de parabéns.
Is this all dead soft wire? I only have harder stuff.
Yes dead soft, i find half hard too difficult to work with
How do I make this long one as the coil are too short
Ok how do you cut it or can you?
hey, could you send me a page where you can buy wires.
Ciao, che n di ferro hai usato? Grazie
the wire is brass
Could you use the gizmo for the whole thing?
I suppose you could, but it was easier for me to do certain parts by hand

so I am a bit confused please tell me what gauge wire did u use to make the coil, i know you put 24 gauge through it and 21 gauge wrapped around it
