    I love this! ❤ I've never been good at any kind of braids using more than 3 strands and doing it with wire was challenging trying to keep it neat and consistent in size but with your guidance and this loom I have no doubt I'll do just fine. You always explain everything so well in ALL your tutorials and I really enjoy watching. I'm coming up on 2 years of watching and you have no idea how much you have helped! Thank you for sharing your videos!

    Thank just did this braid. My braiding was a bit uneven, so I twisted and curled this braid into a base for an attached bead floral focal. I will attach a chain or beads to complete as a necklace. THANK YOU!!! Another great job!

    Totally loving it! There are times when I want to make a Kumihimo beaded bracelet but haven't prepared a disk for the beads. This procedure is fantastic for those days, I can just get my wire and start braiding !! Your tutorials are just fantastic, great instructions, beautiful projects. Thank you.

      You're very welcome and thank you very much. That is a very good point. It's easy to just take out and sit and make, and the result can be used for several different things. I have been playing around with the idea of incorporating the braid into a woven bracelet, so I'm excited to try that out :-)

    Many thanks. The braid is very easy and the result is gorgeous. I made it with 1 mm Nu Gold wire, which looks like a 14 karat gold, and a lot of polishing. I think it could be done with dead soft 1.2 mm pure copper. I'll try it with twisted wire.

    So I bought a book by you..and then discovered you here. I've been working on the diagonal kumihimo and mine curves to the right instead of staying flat. Where am I off track? Do you pull yours tight as you work it or no???? And how do yo get your wire so close together??

    A bit awkward at first but it really starts to look good, great instructions, thank you. I’m wanting a wider band for a bracelet, Im thinking I could as long as the wire strands are at an odd number 🤔 is this correct?

    If you want a wider bracelet could you increase the number of wires to 9 or perhaps 11. ?

    Ugh. I'm having a terrible time with the wire work hardening before I can even get a 1/4 inch braid. I've went down to 22 gauge and still the same. Any advice?

    • @chimera91977
      @chimera91977 4 года назад

      Use a torch and heat it to anneal (soften) the copper. Copper work hardens very easily so the least bending or drawing of the wire you can do the better.

    Christina, can you use the round disc rather than a square one? My square disc doesn't have all the same side slots as yours.

    • @jaymewitcher7852
      @jaymewitcher7852 7 лет назад

      Cindy Singer Cindy, I am going with square as she said you need square to do a braid if your still wondering. the size shouldn't matter as long as it's square.

  • @elainelily9910

    This is the exact same wire weave as if you were to stick your wires in a clamp to hold them and then go up down up down up down up down over repeat. Except then you are see what you are doing and make corrections and with kumihomo all your work is hidden and you cant see your what are doing.
