Just as an advice for removal or attachment of the plastic tube on the glass pipe: Heat the plastic tube with a hairdryer. I am a chemist, and in the lab we often have to attach pipes to glass ware, heating those plastic tubes helps a lot and the danger of breaking off glass is therefore reduced. Cheers.
I dip the ends of tubing in hot water from our tap (130°) or after microwaving for 30-60 seconds. This softens the tubes enough to slide on minimum pressure.

Sinton, Thank you for this informative video. I, like you, would be so excited to get my new glass stems that I would forget about the standing height. Great reminder! I just wanted to mention one thing about your set up. I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw where your electrical power strip was placed. You're running a risk having it lay down with the potential for water to drip inside the strip. My easy fix is to hang the power strip from the back wall. It's easy to remove the strip or at least the cords will have a drip loop. I know power strips are cheap but something always happens at the wrong day or time and cannot easily go out to grab a quick replacement. I've been in this hobby for over 45 years and anything that can go wrong always does in the middle of the night. I had a 30gl long tank that the floor glass decided to crack all the way down the middle near my bed. If it wasn't for the waterfall sound I would have never noticed till morning and losing most of the fish with it. BTW Love your variety of discus!

Can I find 14-15cm height and 17cm length Lily pipes for 45x28x28 cm tank ? Please . Filter hose is 16/22mm
Are these spin lily pipes any better than the normal ones? Does the reduction in flow cause any algae ?
No problem. You have to clean them time to time using spring brush.

Also, how is the spin outflow? Is the flow slow enough for a betta?
My tank 30 cms high. Spin lily pipe flow is good creates agitation near pipe and less disturbs the gravels.

It is a glass aquarium curved edge at front. Ask your local aquarium store for such type of aquariums.

There is not any specific plant for background, mid or front. But aquascapers choose certain plant that look better in these areas. Know plants that you think are better in these areas and create your own aquascape. Also, recently IAPLC result was announced so you can take inspiration from the top aquascapes.

Unfortunately the outflow lily pipe is too low below the water , hence less water agitation so more bio flim ( oily ) at the water surface 😓
You can lift the outflow and fix it to get water agitation or buy a surface skimmer and use it occasionally.
Below water is good, it will be quiet. Otherwise if above water it will be very noisy.
I paid 12 Euro for my Glass Lily Pipe :P
