Thank you for discussing TS! I feel like so many people, and the KPop scene itself, forgets that groups like B.A.P and Secret ever existed so I’m thankful that you’re discussing this. What happened to the TS artists is awful. So much potential wasted
Honestly, TS had some nerve not fulfilling their campaign promises and then using the Sonamoo members to then go out and beg on their behalf for more money AND apologize for the delays. It's SO unfortunate what happened to BAP. As an EXO-L, I remember our old fandom wars. It was a bit sad when they pretty much disappeared as a rival and then came back when there was no way for them to catch back up with all the new boygroups. BAP was a powerhouse group and didn't deserve that at all. I feel bad for CEO Kim, it didn't seem like this was truly his fault. Seems like he just lost control of the company and the higher ups drove it to the ground. I really hope he didn't kill himself out of guilt...
As someone who got into kpop because of B.A.P I absolutely loathe TS ent with all my being. Secret, B.A.P and Sonamoo had so much potential yet their company was just absolutely shit to them

It's sad, because the songs are great. From the sounds of things, CEO Kim was the sort of person who was really good at their craft (in his case, producing music and everything to do with making stars shine), but wasn't good at the business part of it, so the unscrupulous execs could've very easily taken advantage of him and his company
Makes me feel like he was one of the biggest victims here in the sense that those snakes destroyed the company that he worked hard to build, they tarnished his name and reputation, and the result was him losing everything. With the success that their early groups were having, TS could've really grown into a big and successful company. So much potential just went down the drain because of the greedy and corrupt people. I hope they were all punished severely for the damages they caused which includes damaging their artists' futures.
Been to the TS building and saw BAP in concert in London. I strongly believe that their lawsuit against TS dramatically altered the course of their career. They were equal with BTS at that point and while they were away in court, BTS surged past them ... and the rest is history!

YES. FINALLY a video on TS Entertainment! I have been a B.A.P fan for years and I am glad if a channel as big as yours looks into this hellhole of a company!
I absolutely love some of Sonamoo’s music, but I’m so glad I found them at a point they were basically disbanded coz I can’t imagine being a fan waiting for those comebacks only to be met with disappointment. Friday Night and I knew it are such amazing songs when you ignore all the drama
As a baby, honestly, i cannot forget how much the boys and other groups went through in this shitass company 😭 ot5's doing so well nowadays, they're all glowing
Loved the video, as always! ♥I didn't know about this company and wow, what terrible management! I feel terrible for all the people who were hurt in the process (overworked idols and staff, scammed fans...) :(
TS ENT used Makestar to crowdfund a SONAMOO comeback, but kept all the money. NO comeback, NO refund, NO explanation, NO apology till this day. What a scam company! 😡
So even if the happy box project was a dupe (song instead of album), they raised 5 x what they’re were asking for. Last I checked 5 was bigger than 3 and should have been enough. I knew it honestly one of my favorite kpop songs ever
I am barely into the kpop fanbase, but I'm honestly obsessed with the "true crime" vibes I get from all your videos! Not only that, but I'm also getting more knowledge on what goes on behind the scenes from the trainees to the company itself, and how messy and complicated everything can get. All the idols must've been hella strong to stand all the late checks, poor living situations, and some even the un-consented management contracts.
By far the most repulsive thing a company can do is hide behind their artists because fans won’t take their anger out on them… I kinda know what to expect because I do recall the news on what happened to TRCNG …
i have read once that bap could have been as big as bts because of their high popularity in western countries back around 2014 (when bts had their breakouts in korea in 2015/2017 for western countries) . it is said that the hiatus was what ruined it all. if this would have really happened, it would even be much more unfortunate for bap than it already is.
They were never on hiatus they were still putting out music. I heard that Yongguk would tell people not to buy any BAP merchandise. He didn’t want TS to get any profits. Got to love that guy. BTS got a lot of baby’s who left and became army’s. Kudos to the faithful baby’s who stuck by their group until they disbanded in 2019
I'm just a casual kpop enjoy-er, but I'm so glad I found your channel. Chaotic and shady companies are super interesting to me, no matter which industry. By the way, I was introduced to B.A.P. by a friend in high school when they released "One Shot" and it has remained in my work out playlist ever since lol. That song and video are iconic, I'm just sad to learn that a song that got me through so much was created out of the pain and suffering of those poor guys. I hope they're doing well wherever they are.
When I first listened to kpop (back in early 2016) I quickly fell in love with B.A.P, however I never really knew what was (already) going on back then and I wanted to find out ever since. So thank you very much for this video and your great way of storytelling, I finally know now what the hell was going on and I feel even more sad how their talent was wasted. Some of my all time favorite songs are from B.A.P (e. g. One Shot, Hands Up, Honeymoon) and it pains me to see how the company just threw their talent away like literally- 😫
I used to listen to sonamoo here and there. I remember when friday night dropped and all the comments were about the 5$ budget. I should've seen it coming sooner.
I knew the general story (secret/bap/sonamoo) and u gave the details so i was like "oh good" then as u said "it gets worse" i got genuinely curious and u hit me with the "see u next week"
Oh Jesus. Given the companies Evangeline has _already_ looked into over the past couple years, if she's calling a company "The Worst" it must be something very special indeed (read: 🤮). Typing this before watching the video, I'll admit, but I felt I should get my pre-watch thought in. I'm scared…
thank you so much for compiling all the informations and being so throughout with your research (especially trying so hard to get first hand sources). I've been a fan of B.A.P for years now but never got around to looking up the whole story behind the TS hate in the fandom.
I'm in a marathon of your videos, this is like the 5th one I've watch in a row, I love your sense of humor and the topics you talk about, you earned a new subscriber.
Honestly i only knew what they did to Secret, like they literally threw them under the bus even tho they were their cash cow and just a correction, B.A.P never topped what Secret had done, actually, they sold more album copies but boy groups always had better numbers in album sales meanwhile girlgroups would always have a bigger number in song sales
the fact that apparently so much crap happened in like not even three years that it requires a separate video is wild. especially since what was already gone over seems like a lot for ten years.
Oooh yesss drag TS Entertainment! Side note: idk if I said this before, but given the fact that I am a professor irl makes the fandom name super fitting lol
Someone is finally talking about this finally finally the 2nd part is gonna be so dark and sad like it will make you so mad sooo angry that its ridiculous what everyone has to go through.
I think why so many Kpop fans from 2017 & earlier can agree that T$ is the worst is bc of how much documentation there is from all media, how top tier the groups songs are/were, and how bad the lengths of legal disputes went. It brings me some happiness to see you thoroughly cover this so that newer Kpop fans can understand this better. I don’t need them to agree, but I need them to understand why some of us older Kpop fans see +S as the worst & companies who say, don’t give their artists a lot of schedules all year round as ‘the worst.’
i've been a big fan of b.a.p for a while now despite their disbandment, and seeing everything that those ever so lovely boys (and their co-groups) went through makes me really sad. they deserved so much better.

@@byulharangforlife yep but I have to somewhat disagree with ur comment because not everyone should be stanning just popular groups from popular companies. It never hurts to check out lots of good underrated groups out there
I used to be a big fan of B.A.P and even attended 2 concerts. I think new kpop fans will not understand how huge they were back in the day. They were the only competition for exo lol
TS is literally a dumpster fire of a label. How do you sue your artist for stuff that you failed to do for them?? You literally had Secret and B.A.P in your roster and they went up against Kpop titans in the industry. I’m so glad that Sonamoo and TRCNG are freed from that horrible place
I didn't expect to cry as hard as I did during this video- I was a BAP, secret, sonamoo and TRCNG fan and it was so difficult loving these groups so much and feeling so powerless and hopeless to help them...
Sonamoo was literally my life growing up and I was so disappointed by the company.. please also talk about what happened to the members as one of them became an actor and the other a soloist
Everyone would be hating on like YG or SM even JYP and Hybe forgetting TS exists 😭
Actually existed* sorry forgot they closed down... Thank God 🙏
You forgot to add Cube to the list and like half of the small agencies without a lot of money
me not even knowing ts existed
@@Royallblu after what happened to CLC, Cube doesn't even deserve to be mentioned
@@domi7022 If you want the CLC feeling again: ->Become a Lightsum fan 😂. They kinda are the Sideprojekt Girlgroup all over again 😔
HAHAHAHAHAHA I love that you happy boxed us not saying that this was a 2 part vídeo anywhere except at the very end of the video 😂
😂 I was just about to say the same thing
I hope we will get the real happy box feeling by not getting part 2 next week but the Hybe/Garam video instead 😂😂
To get the authentic fandom experience
(we are students in asian culture on our way to become plofessors; and this might help understand the suffering of their fandom)
Happy boxed needs to become a real term like how krissed did on tiktok omg 😂
Yass!! "happy boxed" is now officially part of this channel's vocab!
I've heard stories about this company but not fully. They're a HORRENDOUS entertainment company! Thanks for making this video ploopy! :D
B.A.P and TRCNG had so much potential. It's such a shame how they were treated under this terrible company.
Yep but I’m glad things are ok for them now. Last year Yongguk produced for a group last year called JustB and many BabyZ supported us and them and cheered them on so I was thankful ❤️
Ngl, that "'Happy Experience' joke" actually made me laugh, I'm hoping to watch the 2nd parter of this video. Stay safe and take care Evangeline ❤️
Ploopy your editing has gotten so much better!! The timeline and bubbles were very helpful for keeping up with the rapid fire information. Also your hair looks so gorgeous!!!
YES. FINALLY a video on TS Entertainment! I have been a B.A.P fan for years and I am glad if a channel as big as yours looks into this hellhole of a company!
❤️
B.A.P’s popularity may have gone down but the music never lost it’s quality 😞 Best discography. I’m so proud
I absolutely love some of Sonamoo’s music, but I’m so glad I found them at a point they were basically disbanded coz I can’t imagine being a fan waiting for those comebacks only to be met with disappointment. Friday Night and I knew it are such amazing songs when you ignore all the drama
TRCNG also had disgusting dorms and very little access to basic needs, i hope u mention it in part 2, thanks for this video!!
As a baby, honestly, i cannot forget how much the boys and other groups went through in this shitass company 😭 ot5's doing so well nowadays, they're all glowing
I know rightt
PART 2?! I was getting so into it cannot wait
Next week my ass, it’s been 10 days. Where’s my part 2? I want a refund!!!
Happy Box treatment
Loved the video, as always! ♥I didn't know about this company and wow, what terrible management! I feel terrible for all the people who were hurt in the process (overworked idols and staff, scammed fans...) :(
the "happybox experience" joke at the end had me dead omg (but at least ill actually be looking forward to this one)
I remember watching that Invincible Youth episode, and it was so heartbreaking seeing the members of Secret living in such a horrible condition 😔
I'm still obsessed with Secret's songs to this day, they own my heart omg
I am barely into the kpop fanbase, but I'm honestly obsessed with the "true crime" vibes I get from all your videos! Not only that, but I'm also getting more knowledge on what goes on behind the scenes from the trainees to the company itself, and how messy and complicated everything can get. All the idols must've been hella strong to stand all the late checks, poor living situations, and some even the un-consented management contracts.
Yg : I am the worst
TS : hold my beer 🍺
Girl I love the work you put in each one of your videos!!!! Congrats on the good work 🥰❤️
By far the most repulsive thing a company can do is hide behind their artists because fans won’t take their anger out on them…
I kinda know what to expect because I do recall the news on what happened to TRCNG …
your hair looks soo good evangeline!
i have read once that bap could have been as big as bts because of their high popularity in western countries back around 2014 (when bts had their breakouts in korea in 2015/2017 for western countries) . it is said that the hiatus was what ruined it all. if this would have really happened, it would even be much more unfortunate for bap than it already is.
They were never on hiatus they were still putting out music. I heard that Yongguk would tell people not to buy any BAP merchandise. He didn’t want TS to get any profits. Got to love that guy. BTS got a lot of baby’s who left and became army’s. Kudos to the faithful baby’s who stuck by their group until they disbanded in 2019
@@katieedsallreamy4756 they were on a hiatus for some time baing. additionally they never disbanded.
@@kangkangmygoat They actually disbanded. Each of them now have their own solo careers.
"Happy Box Experience" so we won't be getting a video next week but a physical DVD with part 2 in like 2024/2025? 😭🤣
Some info on the behind the scenes happenings just unreal. Thank You, Ploopy for another well researched video giving us more history of K-Pop.
I'm still mad about what happened to BAP. They could have been mainstream for me still love them!
I’m obsessed with hands up
As much it's different you look amazing with the new hair
I've just started the video and I know I'm going to cry, my B.A.P... 💔
I'm scared…
WHERE... IS... PART... 2????
We're getting the Happy Box treatment.
I really appreciate Evangeline that she actually gives us the Happy Box experience !
thank you so much for compiling all the informations and being so throughout with your research (especially trying so hard to get first hand sources).
I've been a fan of B.A.P for years now but never got around to looking up the whole story behind the TS hate in the fandom.
The fact that many sources either said TS shut down and others said TS is still under lawsuit confuses me.
I love how much effort you put trying to gather as much information as possible into your videos! Keep it going ❤️
I'm in a marathon of your videos, this is like the 5th one I've watch in a row, I love your sense of humor and the topics you talk about, you earned a new subscriber.
TS entertainment is truly the worst Kpop agency ever with how they handled their artists and no one can change my mind💀
Honestly i only knew what they did to Secret, like they literally threw them under the bus even tho they were their cash cow
and just a correction, B.A.P never topped what Secret had done, actually, they sold more album copies but boy groups always had better numbers in album sales meanwhile girlgroups would always have a bigger number in song sales
You know there is a lot to unpack when you have to make a part 2.
Source Music: I’m the worst company
CUBE: No! I am!
DSP Media: NO! I AM!
TS: Hold my lawsuits.
They netted the company $8 million and only made $400 a month????? And they had to live in a basement???? How is that even legal???!
I’m so happy you finally did this! I was the girl who suggested it on twitter
Yey a new upload!!! Been waiting for a new one. Thanks Evangeline!
the fact that apparently so much crap happened in like not even three years that it requires a separate video is wild. especially since what was already gone over seems like a lot for ten years.
Ploopy your hair looks so good 🤩🤩
As much as i hate the company they released the best songs omfg 😭
im literally 3 seconds into this video and I had to tell you that YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!
Oooh yesss drag TS Entertainment!
Side note: idk if I said this before, but given the fact that I am a professor irl makes the fandom name super fitting lol
WOW, thanks for the upload. I love your videos, I find them so entertaining!
Someone is finally talking about this finally finally the 2nd part is gonna be so dark and sad like it will make you so mad sooo angry that its ridiculous what everyone has to go through.
I love your hair! And your videos are the best and so informal! thanks for your content luv❤️
I was a BAP stan and lived through all that drama… I will never forgive that company for what they did to the boys
ploopy you are so professional and i love the new hair
I love what you did to your hair Evangeline! Great video as always, keep up the hard work!
Oh wow i never heard of this company. BTW love your hair.
i've been a big fan of b.a.p for a while now despite their disbandment, and seeing everything that those ever so lovely boys (and their co-groups) went through makes me really sad. they deserved so much better.
me seing the video on my subscribtion feed: ts history in 30 minutes? wow that must have really been broken down to the very necessary.
*turns out it is a 2 part video*: ooooh you got me there
You have to make a part 3 and release it in 2026 if we're going to get an authentic and immersive "Happy Box Experience"
Sonamoo's Deja Vu is such an iconic and so so good song ugh
TS wasted talented idols, I remember Secret and BAP's popularity.
The way they’ve sued all their artists, their artists parents AND their own lawyers
what a damn mess. knowing how succesful bap was, im just wondering where the hell the CEO put all the money.
ploopy your hair looks so gorgeous!!! another great video as always!!
