I already knew that KQ was going to be in the top 1 as the best company because it handles everything very well. Im happy to knew ATEEZ in his trainee days to know about this good company, it reminds me of P Nation
@@night_sky_hopeWhat?! The member from Xikers that needed a hiatus was because he needed to get surgery on his ankle. Also, no member of ATEEZ had to go on hiatus because of a surgery. Mini is the only one that went on a hiatus in 2021 and it was definitely not because of mismanagement 😒 Get your facts right before you make such comments 😊

Also, Block B is not a group directly under KQ, so you can’t use them to judge KQ since their first idol group is ATEEZ. No one is saying KQ is perfect because they are far from it but they’re the best when it comes to how the idols and trainees are being treated.
Cube was known as the closest to Big 3 way before Soyeon and G-Idle. B2ST and 4Minute/Hyuna made it possible. BTOB also had a part in it. Soyeon was also clearly extremely influenced by Hyuna. But I do agree that nowadays Soyeon hard carries the company.
For me, by far I rank JYPE higher than any of the other Big 4 companies (yes, including HYBE) because aside from the odd scandal and overworking their idols sometimes, they're actually a pretty good company and the idols under that agency have a lot of freedom. Also 3 of the groups (Day6, Stray Kids and Xdinary Heros, other JYPE groups might also be able to do this, but these are the groups I'm sure of) under JYPE are pretty much fully in charge of making their own music and even coming up with their own concepts. They do have some help and direction from the agency, but aside from that, they're free to do whatever they like musically.
@@planetkep1er I'm pretty sure if ITZY had no freedom, they would've left JYPE at this point. Especially due to the fact that just before their debut they were planning to leave JYPE because they felt like they were never going to debut. GOT7, Woojin and Jinni are perfect examples of if someone wants to leave JYPE, they can. GOT7 just had that legal battle due to the fact that JYPE owned the rights to the name of their group and all their past songs and all that jazz. JYPE really isn't as bad as people make it seem. Also, common misconception, JYP is not the CEO of JYPE, he was, but he stepped down from that position to focus on being an idol himself as well as having a more hands on approach with the idols in his company. Sure he's still a main shareholder, but he doesn't run the company.
Got7 probably would not agree with you. They didn't have the creative freedom, even though they wrote so many songs. And then the company just put a bolt on them and hid them in the dungeons 🤷♀️
@@blank_line I'm not entirely talking about them. The only reason I mentioned them is to prove that it is possible to leave JYPE as a group, which they did because they didn't like their treatment under JYPE. Most of the groups under JYPE are actually quite happy there
The biggest purpose of a label isn't fulfilled by them to begin with. Promotions are messy and they're BEYOND insecure to let idols be someone of their own
If i wanted to join a company, im sure it would be YG. They pay well...if you debut you will become a millionaire and they seem by far the coolest. Somi is a good example who has been at other company but prefer yg/black label.
Yeah YG don’t cares about debuting a lot of groups. They care about debuting promising groups Omg thanks for the likes. These are the most I have ever gotten.
I put yg at the top because they know the marketing tactics and also they pay their idols very much like whatever the group earns only 10% is taken by the company and 90% is divided among the members..
they pay their artist well but do hell bad promoting, their boygroup need to be promote truly, iKon, Winner and now Treasure, they're all so talented but the way YG promoting them is sh!t
My top pick is any company under HYBE LABELS. I like the way they debut always really good groups with good songs and also I think that they give freedom to their idols to write songs (many idols are also songwriters there). As a non asian person it may be difficult to join this company but I’m gonna give everything I can to join it, hoping they’ll choose talent over visuals or nationality.
@@kellykimbi9101 I know that every company under HYBE might have something not really good but you know… if you want to join a good company you gotta face all of this. For me HYBE is the best company and no one’s ever going to change my mind (no hate to the other companies). Also I know that Korea is based on visuals but if you debut someone with talent and some visuals is better that debuting someone who is considered beautiful but is completely lacking in talent, am I wrong?
I really think Dreamcatcher Company/Happyface ent. is probably the best company in kpop with regards to how they treat their artists. Doesn't seem to be any strict diet, seem to be able to say whatever they want on lives etc, members have said that they're doing well financially so I can only assume they're paid fairly, they get a lot of promotion like tours and comebacks but also seem to have around 2 weeks off after finishing promotions and extended vacation like the one from december which lasted over a month, relationship with staff members seems to be very good and friendly, the CEO seems like he is wholly supportive of the group rather than someone that they're scared to approach. And I mean the company risked it all by redebuting the group instead of disbanding them and throwing them away like so many other companies would have done.
I'd certainly put them up there, especially regarding Dreamcatcher. They've made mistakes and learned lessons, and hopefully they continue that trend. I'd also rank Mystic Story highly. I mostly know them through Billlie, who seem to have a really good relationship with the staff and bosses, and the company appear to have always had their well-being and happiness at heart. Even with Sua and Suhyeon on health hiatuses for several months now, the rest of the group have continued on, while making sure they and we know that they're still very much part of the group, and that they're getting whatever time they need to come back _healthy,_ and not just _functional._ Musically, they're getting plenty of variety, sometimes co-writing tracks, and no-one seems like they're being left behind.
Yg entertainment is good at handling stuff and doesnt overwork and also pays very well but when it comes to scandles not so much but if there is a littel scandal yg handles it but when there is a big one they give up
Wait a minute you forgot to mention that HYBE have a Mental Health Programme for all their Idol's that is confidential between the Idol and the Counsellor.
@@LUVSTA.YSTRAYKIDS yeah 3racha does all the producing music task .. That's something we're proud of! However the china fanmeet situation was another level of messed up , it just shows why idols rarely promote in china. ..
What kind of pain are you talking about? SKZ work with one of the best agencies in the country. They has creative freedom. Huge concerts are organized for them. Incredibly impressive and expensive video clips are created for them. They have many side projects. But they also have breaks to recover from illnesses.
Would have loved to see Happyface/DCC ranked too. I feel even though they have made some mistakes they treat their idols well and give them a lot of freedom.
Yeah since Dreamcatcher redebuted they tried to make everything right in terms of idol treatment. Their new gg sadly fell through last year, I think bc of finances after the pandemic (talented women and everyone was a bit "older" so even more sad). But there's some multi-company audition in August I think and DCC is there too. So if anyone is interested...
I was really thinking more company's were in this list but I they were not like Leon entertainment 1thick entertainment Ston entertainment and can someone please tell me about these companies to I don't know much and Google is not giving much info also can't forget P Nation
Well imo they’re a miss or hit company. Lucile how they disbanded minx so quickly, not giving them more chances. Also d1ce was nugu b/c they’re mishandled. All their attention is shifted on dreamcatcher. If they debut a new group and the group can’t reach dreamcatcher’s fame, the group will disband too This is my opinion lol
@@Nugustansorry but your opinion is wrong because: the minx last for 1 year and happy face knew that there is not much minx can do on kpop because of cute concept (their rivals at that time are TWICE and Gfriend) so after 1 year re-debut minx because they would fail on kpop industry if not they do that. And for the other idols or you i say this: if you don't bring more money they disband you because they are a small company so if you fail they fail is simple as that! Maybe YG or SM have more money for groups but DCC is not but belive me if you know a little about DCC is they NEVER treat their idols bad (and for you to know dreamcatcher have their first win last year after 8 year debuting as minx so they are not THAT succesful so DCC is not that greedy). So sorry for the english and for the long message.
@@cristianbarbala885 Exactly, being a very small label they knew MINX would be drowned out by the larger agencies with the common cutesy or girl crush concept, so they were disbanded and reinvented into a dark and rock concept girl group, which I've read the members had input into that. This was a bold decision, to go with a rock/metal concept which is not a popular genre in South Korea, however, it put them in a niche category and garnered many fans in the West and they have never strayed from having the rock elements in their music of their title releases. The support of the label and the talent of Dreamcatcher has gotten them to be successful. Acts from smaller agencies don't get exposure unless you have a breakout like BTS and you transform your label to be one of the largest. I'm sure the smaller agencies are trying to duplicate that success.
BLOOPER!!! Can you make a video about "what songs to use while auditioning"? Please, it'll be very helpful for not only me, but other k-pop auditioners out there!
I honestly think Modhaus is the best company out there. They give artists creative freedom, nice dorms, lots of food, and everything else that the members need to enjoy.
@@justsomeonewhouseytbTS is still worse. Look, I'm an Orbit but TS is definitely worse. They managed their groups so badly and basically everything. At least BBC cared about the mental health of the LOONA members and the promotions. It was just that BBC's distribution on income is really bad.
I'd choose YGE over and over Even tho realistically it's the hardest label to last in or even be selected in. The priority is making artists known on their own right wholly and completely. And there's nothing more convincing to me than that. Not to mention all facilities and support provided + payscale are few times higher than most.
i like your opinion on yg, and i totally agree. as a HUGE blink, it was really nice to hear from someon who is mostly unbiased. this video really helped out
Yeah plus you'll always be considered as a Chinese company idol and thus have it way harder in Korea. Everglows promotions suck, but even if they'd get promoted enough, they are almost cancelled in Korea for that particular reason. Most of YHs idols went back to China as well. But YH is the best at unlocking the Chinese market for you, which is way bigger than the Korean market. You just can't promote as a kpop artist there.
It's super important to distinguish the Hybe sub labels. They're basically completely different companies and I'd put Ador leagues above SoMo for example, after the Gfriend and Garam incidents. Also YueHua seems to treat their artists well but they are horrible at promoting and since they're Chinese, you'll automatically get tons of hate and have it much harder in Korea. But their idols probably have the most freedom out of any kpop agency.
No after 2NE1 I don't trust them at all. Also BP is so talented but they don't get more songs or any involvement (and no, producing one song after 7 years is not being involved). And how YG treated the Baemon members? He told these young girls that after years of training, he would still kick two of them out. And for what? For a bit of media hype. Sorry, but that's not it. Also 2 gg in the whole company history is barely any experience. Hybe might be worth it but that depends completely on the subsidiaries you're under.
@@moongirl8807 yeeeees they are so awful, but the quality of mvs an music is the good side, buy in activities they always lack so bad and I wish I could have more BP songs but it's like asking apples to a brick
@Blackpill149 ? Wdym. He put 7 members in the show and then said only 5 will make it. Only to - surprise - still debut all 7. Also which company kicks extra members out and what even are extra members? If a group is supposed to have 7 people and there are 10, 3 are too much. But there's nothing like a spare member who you can just push out bc you're a big company. Elaborate maybe bc I have no idea what you mean
@@moongirl8807 7 member groups are not YG style. They prefer less number. Also the rejected two will end up in another big company anyway. They will just not be popular as baemon
imo, JYP is better than YG. I don't want YG fans to come to me in the comments cuz it's MY OPINION!!! YG rarely debuts groups, keep them in dungeon for so long, and definitely over pressures them. At a new debut, they bring down their older groups like, at the time of BP, they bought down 2ne1 by comparing them and keeping Blackpink up, and now the same is happening with Baemon and BP. YG is highly comparing Lisa and Chiquita and trying so hard to prove Chiquita would be better than Lisa (no wonder she can be but this only would pressure the girl at such a young age). JYP seems a more promising company, I like the atmosphere in their soecially in case of ggs. All their groups are amazing no wonder, each fompany HAVE their pros and cons but to me JYP seems far better than YG
DCC should easily at top 5, since they only manage DREAMCATCHER. The group is getting paid well, no diet, official health trainer for their deit, they might do some mistakes but its usually regarding their decision in marketing. But the group wouldn't have renewed so easily before the period
I think Cube deserves to be maybe at least 1 or 2 ranks lower than where it was given the fact that they never gave 2 shits for their girl group CLC! And they were very good! Not to mention they always hyped Hyuna up in 4minute and the rest barely ever really got any attention. It was so stupid of them to make Hyuna and E'Dawn leave 4minute and Pentagon just because they started dating. Especially since well i don't remember too well but I'm pretty sure that they followed the rule about dating idols...not too sure what it was at the time tbh though. I know that jyp has a was it 3 year rule or 5 year rule??? But yes, I know this is cube and not jyp that we're talking about. xD Also don't remember what happened with Beast but they were their most successful group!! And they disbanded and left to join another company under the name Highlight because things weren't going so well with Cube. So pretty sure they've done a lot of messed up things. Still no where near the screw up of a company that TS Entertainment is though, that's for sure. Also Soojin from G-idle???? Wtf happened there??? I really freaking miss her. She was my favorite in G-idle ;-; don't get me wrong, I love the other girls as well but Soojin was always capturing my attention everytime.
Overworking is a basic part of Korean culture, no matter the profession, just to survive in the ultra-competitive society. As for scandals, if those are caused by the idols or trainees of adult age, it really isn't the responsibility of the company to cover for them or bail them out, especially if they broke laws that all people must obey. As for the financial compensations for the idols, there really is no industry standard set for how much the compensations must be, so it's a grey area varies with different companies and circumstances. Let's face it, wages and other compensations vary in any industry or field, not just in entertainment.
I would pick hybe cause of idol treatment and you get appreciation for your work plus they don’t over work idols that much and they give them reasonable resting time there more relation ship with other groups in the same company

As a YG and SM stan, I think it's JYP who takes care of it's artist the most and about promoting and protecting their idols, HYBE should rank first. While my fav two I.e SM and YG should learn something from HYBE. Like SM got the best vocalists in every Gen and YG got some real good all rounder talent but all thanks to their management issues specially YG, their groups don't get recognized much. Like look at ReVe, EXO and Treasureand Ikon(even though they left YG now and under TBL) they deserve so much more.
With what u said about starship is really true, i mean they're past is something to not talked about, but now starship is getting my trust a little bit more, because with how good they handle scandals and how they listen to fans, example is ive and dives. Dives noticed the unfair line distribution of ive in their debut but in the latest comeback “i am” they really listen to fans and the fact that they give the right lines and distribution of lines to members of the group is just amazing
Even thought I don’t wanna be a kpop idol, your videos are very interesting and useful. Thanks for making videos for future kpop idols and curious kpop fans❤
You’ll never catch me glazing a k-Entertainment company but i already knew KQ would be at no.1 not only for their prioritization for mental health, but also there’s this one point that made me gain a lot of respect for them which is having an unlimited budget for food for trainees/rookie idols, the health of their trainess/idols are truly the number 1 priority for them, they NEVER encourage dieting unless the member themself wants to do it as a personal choice (which is still sad). Also giving mingi (from ateez) a 8 month hiatus due to anxiety is literally unheard of in any other company. Also after cultural appropriation apology, they encouraged fans to always hold them accountable to any wrongdoing and they never fail to always asses them in a very quick and professional manner showing that they genuinely want to learn from their mistakes and take accountability rather than brush it under the rug. No one does it like KQ this company should be the standard for all k-entertainment companies 👏🏼

My Honest rating YG - quality is their 1st priority so Idc about how much time they take to debut a group HYBE- as the video mentioned, They allow the artists, idols to make own songs JYP- Pretty decent incase of freedom, expressing thoughts etc. SM- I don't know much abt it but not bad
Tbh, I agree with JYP over working their idols. Like how Stray Kids just released an album in September or something like that. And they are already working on a new album in November. JYP need to give them a break 😭
Shout out to Happyface Entertainment, who should've been on this list. Big reason why I love Dreamcatcher so much is how well the company treats them. Can't wait for more groups from Happyface in the future.
Could you make a video about which companies gives debits to their trainees and which are the best for foreign trainees?? It would be really really helpful thank you❤️
I've auditioned for hybe, yg & jyp online but I failed they didn't select me. I think I am not going to be a kpop idol. But I'm trying to improve my vocal even if someone says that I am professional.
I think one of the best entertainment is Modhaus, they don't overwork their idols and don't force them to do things such as get plastic surgery, dye or cut their hair, have a diet, etc...
i would honestly rank jyp at #1 they let their artists be on hiatus, and there is hybe not thinking abt eunchaes health it was revealed that she was on hiatus but a few days later she is on stage? like be so for real..
For TS Entertainment; I remember Ploopy678 made 2 videos on them. It's very interesting. However, you can't technically audition for TS Entertainment because they have been defunct (So something that used to exist, but is now gone) ever since January 31 2021, their online sites has been shut down, their RUclips channel has been inactive for 6 years and the original CEO Kim Tae - Song took his own life on April 27 2018.
The point you make with Itzy is highly subjective though, at least how you phrase it. I never cared for their music but 'Bet on Me' and 'None of my business' sold me, not because it's "girly", but because I just really like the songs. Also a question, I don't have your expertise, but these are obviously not all companies their are. What were your criteria to which company gets on the list?
If i were going to audition on kpop companies, it would be KQ or HYBE, (i know about the Min heejin and Hybe drama), i think those two companies will prioritise skills especially in dancing
14:38 you gotta be joking me.. enhypen and txt are CRAZILY overworked for years, beomgyu and jay both got injured, soobin collapsed on stage, hueningkai got nosebleed while performing, yeonjun's back injury got slightly worse by the time, even in his documentary he got a flu and stomach ache at the same time due to the overwork for doing too many promotions and covers and had to go to the hospital instead of going to another dance lesson, and yet it's still going on, him preparing for his solo debut and their album sanctuary at the same time, finishing practice going to the other, I know I didn't mention taehyun but he didn't get any promotions or projects for himself, because they're mistreating the others like shit, even enhypen, they were extremely overworked that fans had to put hashtags everywhere, "#LetEnhypenRest", and it's even been trending on X (twitter), sunoo being mistreated and mopped at the airport just like the other members, getting hated because he debuted instead of K on I-land, even though it was reasonable and K wasn't suitable to debut with Enhypen yet on the program and even though Sunoo was the producers choice, getting body shamed and Hybe couldn't even handle it well or even talk about it, there are even more things but I think it's too much to read now
i think from 2016 to 18 bts overworked because hybe was a small company. those years are the ones that bts became famous and hybe became such a large company. So its obvious that bts had to go through such a hard time to accomplish that. now that they brought it whats now hybe is, other hybe groups dont need to work that hard. so except that i think hybe is the best company that takes care of idols best. in my opinion
No it cause if they did but the knots woudnt let it go so hybe didn’t want the scandal to affec there new group so they said she will be suspended that why people think she’ll come back
Garam was not expelled from the group, the company defended her to the end and it was the parents' decision due to the bullying she received from the Korean public, even though it was proven that Garam was never accused of bullying at her school and that she was the victim. in this whole situation
Can you do a video like this that shows & reminds people of how Black artists have been taken advantage of by labels since the inception of record labels & management companies?
A new non korean girl group just debuted under Hybe Labels, which I think is amazing! The group is called KATSEYE and they already have success! I think it's a good chance for non korean people to try out!
That was just your opinion😂JYPE is still better than YG or Starship Entertainment. For example,4th Generation Ace Straykids, all of their songs were written and produced by themselves so it means they gave them a bit of freedom and really cared about them
Personally, i would rank Hybe lower. They have overworked New Jeans so much and they are even struggling with hate. Hybe doesn't really protect their idols from hate and are very overworking...
Trust me if you're really smart the only companies that help with decent treatment, money and success is Bighit, Source, Ador and YG. The best training system in Kpop however is SM and YG. You can just compare their trainees to others and see a massive difference in skill and musicality.
SoMo was great at the beginning. The second they were bought by BigHit/Hybe it all went downhill. Gfriend and Garam didn't deserve that horrible treatment. I hope they will treat Le Sserafim better.
I personally think with the recent newjeans and min heejin scandal that was going on the past few days with hybe, hybe dosent deserve the 2nd place spot i think starship entertainment will fit it more or yg entertainment.
ador only have newjeans. look at how ador treat newjeans and that’s how you will expect them to treat you. as for Pnation, the only badside of it is, it restrict the artistic freedom of the artist for example jessie. tho not much can be said since both are new companies with few group and artist.
I think your rankings is the best KQ are very ownest company but I think YG compony is the best because YG songs are really good Btw Which company did you choose?
YG is the best! Being YG Trainee means success : ) Blackpink will promote YG's new Group easily!! Promotion by Blackpink means "massive fan following" BUT it's hard to get selected for YG 😅
Hybe labels still overworks their idols, maybe not as much as BTS but they still do! The group Enhypen never seems to get any rest. There're comebacks after comebacks. The "Fate" tour, which is still going on, started before Jin went to army. Crazy how they're still on that tour, now that Jin came back! They're always on tour, always making content, always busy and barely get any rest. HYBE LABELS GIVE ENHYPEN SOME REST!!!!
SM Entertainment should not be number 12 just because of over working like there's a reason why they have so much successful groups other companies are way worse

I think people may have a good chance of debuting if they try out for Hybe and get in because Hybe has been debuting groups like every year
Yg entertainment is good at handling stuff and doesnt overwork and also pays very well but when it comes to scandles not so much but if there is a littel scandal yg handles it but when there is a big one they give up
I say they kinda deserve it.
Wait a minute you forgot to mention that HYBE have a Mental Health Programme for all their Idol's that is confidential between the Idol and the Counsellor.

Well imo they’re a miss or hit company. Lucile how they disbanded minx so quickly, not giving them more chances. Also d1ce was nugu b/c they’re mishandled. All their attention is shifted on dreamcatcher. If they debut a new group and the group can’t reach dreamcatcher’s fame, the group will disband too
This is my opinion lol
BLOOPER!!!

I'd choose YGE over and over
Even tho realistically it's the hardest label to last in or even be selected in.
The priority is making artists known on their own right wholly and completely.
And there's nothing more convincing to me than that.
Not to mention all facilities and support provided + payscale are few times higher than most.
i like your opinion on yg, and i totally agree. as a HUGE blink, it was really nice to hear from someon who is mostly unbiased. this video really helped out
yuehua makes the best trainees in my opinion since yena, and a lot of zb1 members trained there!
But they mismanaged their artists...
They managed Everglow really bad. They have lot of potential but sadly the they only focused on Mia while other talent being ignored. It's a meh.
I have a love-hate relationship with YG because of BP and Treasure and for Hybe, they do pretty well, at least better han SM, JYP and YG

Trust me if you're really smart the only companies that help with decent treatment, money and success is Bighit, Source, Ador and YG. The best training system in Kpop however is SM and YG. You can just compare their trainees to others and see a massive difference in skill and musicality.
SoMo was great at the beginning. The second they were bought by BigHit/Hybe it all went downhill. Gfriend and Garam didn't deserve that horrible treatment.

A mi en lo personal tenía muy en alto a HYBE, pero después de lo que pasó con la renovación de GFRIEND y peor aún que no hayan dado explicaciones del caso pues... me dejo un sin sabor. I think your rankings is the best KQ are very ownest company but I think YG compony is the best because YG songs are really good
Btw Which company did you choose?
Yall lets pray for my audition in yg
Good luck!
YOU ARE SO REAL FOR PUTTING TS ENT LAST
YG is the best! Being YG Trainee means success : ) Blackpink will promote YG's new Group easily!! Promotion by Blackpink means "massive fan following"
BUT it's hard to get selected for YG 😅
Hybe labels still overworks their idols, maybe not as much as BTS but they still do! The group Enhypen never seems to get any rest. There're comebacks after comebacks. The "Fate" tour, which is still going on, started before Jin went to army. Crazy how they're still on that tour, now that Jin came back! They're always on tour, always making content, always busy and barely get any rest.
HYBE LABELS GIVE ENHYPEN SOME REST!!!!
SM Entertainment should not be number 12 just because of over working like there's a reason why they have so much successful groups other companies are way worse
