    1. Intervals
    2. Scales
    3. Arpeggios
    4. Listen consciously to radio or other recordings
    5. Sing in a corner/book to hear yourself
    6. Match the pitch of an instrument
    7. Match your own voice (record and sing with yourself)
    8. Record yourself and then sing the third above it
    9. Start an easy tune on easy pitches. Twinkle little star starting on any pitch.
    10. Sing acapella or with a karaoke track. Sing on your own.

This is great, thanks so much Freya! I immediately started listening to the intro music melody itself on this video: 5th down to 3rd and settling on the root! Whenever I’m practising a new song I find working it out on a keyboard first is invaluable at locking me into a certain key and selection of notes to choose from.

This is a really good abbreviated lesson.
A more in depth lesson with a piano or instrument to illustrate inteervals and perhaps a small theory lesson to give this some context for beginners.
As a veteran, im looking to help a friend , and im searching for good lessons, and this one is close, but i think its a bit ahead for her! but I love it as a lesson.

If you're gonna forget about everything in this video, keep the last tip. No better way to improve than to record yourself - this applies to loads of activities, not just singing

Sure I will try these tips as I really have a problem to follow music while singing mostly when my voice or the choir voices are higher than the music which is normal

It’s funny I almost didn’t watch the video because I have solid pitch. However, I was still curious. Really good video/instructions. I’ve now subscribed so thank you. Also, your end statement of keeping a song in our hearts & keep singing totally caught me off guard. Even as I’m writing now I’m getting emotional. Keep doing what your doing because it matters.

Freya, just a suggestion for you...think your scale before you sing it. If you wait until your on the note, it's too late (like the way you are unsure on your Lydian scale).

Freya, regarding #5, I discovered a cool little device online that works great. It's called Hearfones and you can buy them on Amazon. The only negative reviews are because it seems like their construction is so cheap for the cost ($40). Otherwise, every reviewer gives them 5 stars. That's because they work! I am embarrassed to sing at home, so I sing in my car with these on. In addition, I sing to karaoke songs that I like and I feel my voice works with. I have all that on my phone and use a lil Bluetooth speaker that cranks up the volume. What I get is a perfect blend of background and my voice using hearfones. Here's a link. I would love to hear what you think. Thank you. www.hearfones.com/index.htm

Would be much better if you sang along with the Ukelele....at the END instead of 'talking.'
    The lesson is fantastic..
But that extra push would sell , inspire, demonstrate or educate us to the core
