Did you choose your voice type and enter your credit card info or go through PayPal here: www.healthyvocaltechnique.com/order-victorias-victorious-vocal-exercise-program/ If you are still having trouble, please send me a note through my website. Thank you.
Hello super new here, I was wondering if this would be applicable for someone who has a Puberphonia of sort, especially if its a Male but sounds like a girl type of voice, he can do some low Male parts like it manages to somewhat replicate when singing the OG "Beyond the Sea" Bobby Dylan but yeah...
So many people are teased into silence from childhood if they even try to sing, whether they're any good or not. It's lovely to see such advice as this, and so many encouraging comments.
I fall in that category. I was made to feel as though I can't sing, when really, I was just very shy and suffered from anxiety. I'm pushing back now against that which has been sitting in my head for so long. 😊
I've been teaching voice for 50 years; this is the first time I've found a voice instruction video on line that makes sense and is very unlikely to cause any harm to a person's voice. Brava!
I agree. I was a professional singer for about 30 years, and this approach is the first one that I see as making sense. I want to do some singing again, and my voice needs exercise. This will provide it.
I tried these exercises in this video.. I must point out that I'm a woman.. I was in chorus as a kid.. I never new my voice could be so.. buttery! So smooth. I've always had a deeper voice as a woman. And I absolutely LOVE singing. But I never knew how to control it. I couldn't "find my voice" so I never pursued music or singing. I am absolutely going to binge watch your videos. I got a glimpse of my voices potential. I'm so shocked. I had no idea I could sing lol thank you!!
+nebisaur165 Once those who do find their voices also learn how to find their ranges too. I took a vocal class once and I def. could have tried harder & done better in the class b/c I do love to sing. But the exercises in this video definitely helped me. I learned in that class that I'm an Alto voice and if I had put more effort (and had less sore throats-got sore throats due to my own emotions at times)...I easily could have been Soprano. Also, for me personally if I want and I don't want to say I can go as deep as Baritone level, but my singing voice can go pretty dang deep to the point that I surprise myself with it and I'm like "there's no way my voice can go this low." I'm a girl btw & it's generally rarer for girls to have a baritone range level within their own singing voice alone. But I have caught myself going nasaly before & I'm trying my best *not* to do that at all.
I'm a 57-year-old, classically-trained mezzo. I sang high soprano in a small vocal jazz ensemble in high school and, over the course of a few years, moved over to classical and sacred repertoire. It was easy and I loved it. I sang that way for 25 years and then married a wonderful man who was a singer-songwriter and guitarist. Singing with him was physically stressful because he always placed my songs low in my chest voice. It was uncomfortable. Now, ten years later, I've lost all of my vocal technique. I never developed one for singing his songs (which he called "americana rock") and have lost my old technique. My throat aches when I sing and my voice quickly gets fatigued. Singing well is one of the most thrilling, exhilarating things I've ever experienced. I loved it. I loved being a soloist; a good musician; able to sight read almost anything; and able to step into a choir and sing whatever the director needed, from first tenor to first soprano. I loved it. But that's all gone and I don't know how to get it back. None of my teachers ever gave me information that's useful now. I'm going to follow your videos and see how it goes. So far, so good. And thank you in advance.
Hi, Sherry! Oh, I can feel your desire to sing! Don't worry - it is certainly possible to retrain! Start back in the part of your voice that is easiest and take your time. I recommend my Beginner Playlist to get you started. **PLAYLIST for BEGINNING SINGERS, all in 1 place! Beginner Singing Lessons - FOLLOW THESE VIDEOS! ruclips.net/p/PLaWjWxiTysDBD7MGUWCSdC4yhLzxVsEdW
I sang in my youth Aaron Neville's version of "Cry Me A River" completely out of my head with high force and pressure and I thought it has to be this way - now I learn that Prince and Michael Jackson had a singing teacher (the same one) and how to lead to higher pitches like Minnie Riperton (Lovin' You + Inside My Love) with a straw, silent and whistle practice - it is like learning the ABC, but now I am old (61) - my voice can do more variations AND less with raw power - it is like in dancing: To survive, you have to evolve & get smarter.
Just tried these in my living room myself and had to fight through that thought of "what if someone hears me" and the feeling "embarrassed/ashamed" But after the exercises I tried applying them and singing something "Tearing Up My Heart" which normally I strain to sing because their voices are so high and I am always trying to immitate them instead of singing it with my voice. It was far less difficult to sing that way but I cant exactly hit the same notes I dont think. I don't have any music or singing education just practice without instruction. Thanks for spending your time to make your videos and channel.
Saw this on my recommended. I think the most important thing that I saw in the video is the confidence to sing like you are in a crowd even when training by yourself. You always look so confident and it delivers well
We freed up her throat..... Got me rollin. I'm here for the teaching still first time here. I need to get my voice right before I start singing my music I wrote.
Victoria, this is just what I needed! I was a voice student 20 years ago and miss it so much. My voice teacher has since passed on and this video has elements of all the vocal faculty who guided shy little me back then. One of my fellow singers from that time (aka my ex-husband) sent this to me, and I'm thankful he did. I remember these exercises, but you stepped it up and helped me make the connection of why I was taught to do them. Back then, to me they were just exercises for a grade. I've subscribed to your channel and will get my digital Kawai out of storage. Thank you.
Your teaching ability is so impressive! I'm not a Native in your tongue, and I was shocked at how I could get from your lesson! Thank you for you enthusiasm and energy
I ran across this and was really inspired. I was one of those people who sang really well as a kid and lost all my control at puberty to the point where I stopped singing cause no one wanted to hear me do the work to find my control again. I'm thirty-one now, and I'm working on getting my voice back. Thanks so much for this vid, it led me to your channel and it's been really helpful.
I'm looking forward to giving this video my full attention. I can "copy" so many voices, and do many songs, and it's not too stressful because I pick my own songs with my good ear, but lately I've been wondering about my own voice, especially after I found myself singing a female vocalist's song from the 1960s and I'm male. This lady seems like the actual real deal.
Yep…people have the impression I sing good….only because I am a good mimicker of good (and bad) singers..but still have yet to find my own singing voice too. 😂
Thank you so much for creating this! It is such a mental hurdle to accept that we could never be our vocal idol, BUT nobody could ever be us, either. Definitely something worth celebrating.
I'm so drawn in to this.....like 3 minutes in!! Needless to say..I "liked" and "subscribed" almost immediately... There is something about you.....I'm so glad to have found u. You're fantastic ♡
Omg just three exercises in and I’m feeling so much better with singing. Haven’t sung for so long and have been imitating my favorite singers for long but feeling more and more unconfident in myself. These exercises simply give me back the joy, ease, comfort, and beauty of singing again, so thank you so much.
Wow, I love this video! As I did the exercises my habit of often getting too uptight and perfectionist as a singer just slipped away and I definitely got into the joy of singing! I can't wait to explore more of Victoria's Victorious Vocal Tips. Thank you so much, Victoria!
OMG, just stumbled across this video. You are such an original, I instantly fell in love with your authenticity and your voice and every syllable you said. You have such an iconic energy, thank you for being on youtube!
Crazy how quickly your channel grew. I was just watching one of your video a year or two ago and you hadn’t a big number of views or subscribers. Congrats on the booming channel!
So grateful for this. Thank you. Never had a lesson for anything in my life and I’ve been playing guitar for years. And writing songs. This is a game changer.
AGREED! As a pro Opera singer and teacher I try my utmost best to FIND peoples voices. There is nothing more worrying than people coming in and "parroting" voices.
I'm not a voice coach, but on more than one occasion I have heard someone singing and thought, "If they would just sing like their self they might sound better."
I’m eager to try this. I learned that I could not sing on key when I was 13. It was an embarrassing experience and stopped singing since. That’s been 45 years ago.
Singing is an active skill, the more you practice the more you get better at it, sing it without mindind people, you're singing for yourself, I believe in you!
LOVE this! I had a vocal teacher that wanted me to always use "chest" voice and it was always forward and nasally. Found a second teacher that made me remember myself when I was teaching myself to sing as a 12-year-old, and finding that "buzz" for singing and while singing always hits the spot. Thanks a bunch for sharing your wonderful knoweledge!
You are a true teacher, thanks! I watched other voice "coaches", but many of them say that you need to copy the way they sound and that didn't sit right with me. I've spent too much time trying to become someone I wasn't, now I'm happy to be me. Cracking voice and all 😅
u are my favorite i will now start consuming this content with much enthusiasm. I find you to be uniquely vibrant & true. Soo happy to have found this wonderful insight & direction!
More than this worthy lesson I appreciate your powerful and wise message. I always was shy to sing, I never did it. Thanks this lessons I realize that it could be quite simple and it is worth to dare.
Loving Victoria’s New York realness. It appeals to this Londoner! Used to be a passable alto who could hold a tune but have smoked for many years. Need to pack the ciggies in, expand my lungs and re-find my voice!
I’ve always struggled finding my voice. Not because I like copying others voices but my voice changes depending on how I position my tounge and pronounce things, and it would change depending on the style of music I sang because I love so many diff genres of music.. this helped a lot thanks.
Ive been copying other singer's voice for like 6 years now. Its worked out for me SO WELL, that I literally cant imagine how this video would help people rather than hurt their chances at singing but Ill give it a watch and see
Great if that works for you, as long as you know that your voice can probably do a lot of other things that you were not even aware of from copying others. 😊
Thank you for the focus on ring and resonance from the sinuses and face. This is the thing I hear missing most from teachers’ skills and teaching. Is so important. Micky Tomas was the king of ring! He has that giant, wide sinus cavity that sounded so beautiful. For those of us not blessed with great sinus anatomy, sinus rinsing is the most valuable thing in a singing toolbox. I’m really shocked that I’ve NEVER heard a singer or singing coach talk about it. I would have continued my career as a singer had I known about hire it prevents colds and keeps the voice at it best.
I love you personality! You make it so easy to do these exercises (I'm currently at work, but will try them when I get in the car to go home). I've always loved to sing and thought about being a singer when I was young, but I struggled for years to find my own voice and was constantly being criticized by my ex-husband. When I was in chorus they always placed me as a soprano, but singing soprano hurt. LOL. I'm pretty sure I'm an alto. The hardest thing for me to learn is what I'm supposed to sound like, not what other person I can sound like. I believe that we each have unique and beautiful voices. I hope that you keep on inspiring folks to find their own voices and build confidence in their singing abilities.
To anyone watching this, this lady knows what she's talking about. I was 38 when I started singing in my natural voice, and my greatest regret is not finding it earlier.
I'm on an assignment of sorts for work but I really hope I can take voice lessons when I go home bc I have noticed really strongly that people are at their best seemingly being themselves including voice. So thank you for this bc I haven't been too excited about trying to learn anything new but now I am.
You're absolutely correct. I am no singer. But, I do sing along. And I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS try to emulate someone else's voice. Who knows? Maybe I'll become a singer after your tips?! You're great.
Victoria, thank you for this. I am a musician and wanna be singer that started composing during covid years. But, something in my head keeps thinking I need to sound like someone much better than me, which only creates barriers to learning. Your video was a great inspiration to find my own voice, and that it is ok to emulate a style without sounding like that singer. Looking forward to learning more!
I'm not the best singer in the world, not even amateur level. I have my own voice, but sometimes it's incredibly fun to sing Bob Dylan songs with the voice of Neil Young and vice versa.
I'm glad I found this channel. My whole life I've loved to sing but never learned how to sing. I hit all the right notes (mostly) but my voice is awful. I'm 43 and realize it's not too late to learn. ❤
This being the first video of yours I have ever seen, I must say that I love the energy and pizzazz of your coaching style. I grew up playing trumpet all throughout my school years so am no stranger to music, but I have never had a single voice lesson. I am anxious to dive into your playlists and discover my own voice. Consider me your newest subscriber. Thank you!
Thank you Victoria!! I found your channel November 2023 and have been watching your videos ever since. With your lessons I am happy to report that I now can sing more freely and openly. No more nasley sound, yeah! I can relate to what another subscriber of yours had said. They said that they tend to listen to more male songs than female because then they can't sound like them and that's what I do. I wanted to hear myself and I finally have. Listen, I'm no Celine Dion or Whitney but I can now sing My Heart Will Go On🙂 and I sure do have fun with it! I try to sing I Will Always Love You but I'm going to accept that it's not going to happen for me and that's ok but I'm gonna keep trying. I just really wanted to thank you for all of your help and guidance. I will continue to watch your videos as I learn something new all the time! I love how real and honest that you are 💗
Something about not just singing forward but singing like theres people behind me helps alot. I don't know why but this is one thing i can feel very well while singing.
I wish I could to these excersises whitout being loud, since ever since I was a child, everyone in the house (including me) got used to this eerie silence all across. I wish it felt natural to make noise, or just comfortable, because I do love sining, and I would like to pursue it as a career, but I simply am so used to being silent, it's a bit sad...
I realized I've been using a fake voice since I was about 12 years old. I was teased because of my voice because of how deep it is so I've learned how to use a "fake voice" until I feel comfortable with someone.
I didn't discover that I'm a basso profundo until just before I became an Orthodox Christian - where most bassos you hear are the big, dramatic ones that can rumble the room. My own voice seems to be more lyrical, but finding it and not trying to be one of the earth-shakers has been a real challenge for years. It doesn't help that, when speaking, I subconsciously tend to emulate the voice of the people I'm speaking with... Anyway, thanks for this. I'll probably return to it quite a few times when I need a reminder.
holay! I started an indigenous drum group here where I live and i struggled with the part where we have to lead the group. I realized sometimes I hit it and other times I feel constricted and restricted. This short video just taught me what it was that was happening. I make a living from my voice, not singing, but I feel this will help with that as well. Wela'lin (thank you in my language) for this video.
I really like your little light buddy in the reflection of your piano. You clearly know your way with the invisible arts and are a blessing. Thank you for blending sharp critique with the beautiful spirit of generosity. #TheToneoCommand
LOVE THIS VIDEO! Way, way late to the party. I know this is an older video. My life changed when I was performing abroad and an accomplished artist said you need to try to sing in your natural voice. I no longer tried to be Paul - yes that Paul. It had caused perpetual throat stress and trauma. Then, I just began to sing the same songs the the way nature had intended. I have enjoyed 1400 performances since then and though not a star, I’ve had a very fulfilling musical run. Blessings to you for passing on this vital information!
i'm the most non singing person on the earth and this was awesome! you make me want to learn even if the best i can do is sound like a terrible person.............................................................................................. you are truly a blessed woman with true knowledge bestowed on you for the world to wonder
I just realized I have tried to sing like women with a very different voice types all my life. It seems my natural voice is a very dark and low contralto, and there is actually nothing wrong with it. I have hated my voice for so long because it is not bright and high and cute as voices of some of my favourite artists. Oh I will probably never sound like Celine Dion, more like Lisa Gerrard in her 60s, but it is actually kind of cool.
Holy shnikeys!!! You are good! This is good stuff! I think that, from a musical standpoint, much of what you teach here could also be applied to musicians, regardless of musical instrument! GLORIOUS!!!
BEST Vocal video I've ever seen!!!! Such personality such charisma! And all straight to business! Definitions that are easy to understand and exercises that easy to follow! I'm impressed! Subscribing immediately!
I've said this a lot. The 2000s seems to have it's own signature "sound" that all female singers seem to copy. I always think, that can't be your real voice.

I was told to mime in the infant school chorus.
Times have changed. Nowadays kids are highly encouraged to sing and dance and all that stuff..
Excellent ❤
I fall in that category. I was made to feel as though I can't sing, when really, I was just very shy and suffered from anxiety. I'm pushing back now against that which has been sitting in my head for so long. 😊

First?
This woman SINGLE HANDEDLY improved my voice and halped me relax my throat while singing so im more comfortable in 12 minutes
Yep she’s certainly HALPED us all!
This woman taught me how to improve my voice in 12 minutes. Unbelievable!
This woman taught me how to get myself alienated by my neighbours. *Ee Oo siren yaya!

I got a deep voice too. And my youngest daughter is very loud 📢 thinking maybe see if this is a singing opportunity ...find her voice.
I was doing this in my room alone, my mom came in and asked wtf you doing?💀
Lol😅
😂😂😂
I can’t even do this by myself because I’m already asking myself wtf am I doing 😂
Ikr 😂
I only have a cat around me and I feel her eyes rolling as I try in shame 😅
I have mastered copying 372 different voices. Now I can copy you too.

Thank you. I'll let you know how it goes.
Give that man a CAPO!!!
My natural voice is so powerful it scares me. It is also the one I have most voice cracks and little control over (cause I'm always suppressing it).
Me too, I need a sound proof room to let it rip, or maybe a field or park when I'm alone, vto just let go
I love the frankness of this lady's teaching. A no-nonsense approach to singing. At 6:50 you get to hear the beauty of her singing.

Мне 54 года, я не умею петь, смотрела с переводом. Очень интересно! Спасибо большое, вы молодец!
Just tried these in my living room myself and had to fight through that thought of "what if someone hears me" and the feeling "embarrassed/ashamed"

Cracking voice and all 😅
u are my favorite
i will now start consuming this content with much enthusiasm. I find you to be uniquely vibrant & true. Soo happy to have found this wonderful insight & direction!
Victoria! You are so amazing! You made me like my voice again! You must be a wonderful teacher ! Thank you :0
More than this worthy lesson I appreciate your powerful and wise message. I always was shy to sing, I never did it. Thanks this lessons I realize that it could be quite simple and it is worth to dare.
copying others helped me find my voice. I learned so many techniques leaning to clone other singers... it opened up my thinking.
This helped me so much!! thankyou! 🤩🤩
Loving Victoria’s New York realness. It appeals to this Londoner! Used to be a passable alto who could hold a tune but have smoked for many years. Need to pack the ciggies in, expand my lungs and re-find my voice!
OH MY. 😮 I cannot express how much I love this. Your voice at the end made me actually tear up. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.
You will be known as the guy that sings like that other artist. I think this video is for artists and not people who just like to sing
I'm not sure why this was suggested to me, but I'm glad that it was. I'm in here singing at 12am lol. New subscriber 🎉
Im 62, always wanted real singing lessons for as long as i can remember. Your film here is very inspirational.
62 is young! Make sure to see my Beginner Playlist!
I would give my soul to have Steve Perry's voice from the 70's
To anyone watching this, this lady knows what she's talking about. I was 38 when I started singing in my natural voice, and my greatest regret is not finding it earlier.
Thank you! Just what I was looking for.
Thank you for the love Victoria and the encouragement!❤
I'm an independent musician and your videos are teaching me everything I didnt even know I didn't know. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad that I can help!
Been a vocalist for a long, long time. However, never had an instructor I understand as much as this lady. Subscribed
Thank you and welcome to my channel!
Thank you algorithm for bringing me this class with this super charismatic person. I loved it ❤ 🇧🇷
It must be a joy to be one of your students! I would be so excited to go to the next class!
Where have you been my whole life!? This is great!!! 💕 just what I’ve been asking for 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
Randomly came upon your channel. Glad I did! : )
Welcome! I have a lot more videos to keep you having fun with your singing!
Beautiful voice. And I'm thankful videos like this one are free!
Thank you!
Welcome to my channel, David! I'm happy that you enjoyed the video!
You are among the absolute best on all of RUclips!!! Top drawer, dahling! Top drawer!!❤😊
Thank you so much, dahling! 😀
I love how real and honest that you are 💗
Thank you so much for your great update, Gwen! I am happy that I can help you!
When you define yourself around your voice you will see the power behind your voice and who you really are
Something about not just singing forward but singing like theres people behind me helps alot.
Thank you! I can tell a big difference now singing along with KLOVE worship on my radio. I don't feel "overtaxed" or horse. I subscribed!
Thank you for making these videos, I really start to understand more of how to use my voice and find it. ❤
I love this! Thank you for posting your experience! I hope that you continue to have so much fun with your singing!
i'm the most non singing person on the earth and this was awesome! you make me want to learn even if the best i can do is sound like a terrible person.............................................................................................. you are truly a blessed woman with true knowledge bestowed on you for the world to wonder
GLORIOUS!!!
Thanks for the exercises, Victoria!
Thank you Victoria, I had never heard the back of the throat space described so eloquently.❤
When she gave "Victoria's Wisdom", I thought she was about to say "Victoria's Secret" loll
I love your delivery! Upbeat and precise.
BEST Vocal video I've ever seen!!!! Such personality such charisma! And all straight to business! Definitions that are easy to understand and exercises that easy to follow! I'm impressed! Subscribing immediately!
Thank you so much! Welcome to my channel!
I see Victoria as the lead in Sweet Charity❤ V. you are awesome!
Her energy ---- wow
I feel like my mom is talking to me with the way you speak to us through this video. I'm looking forward on your next lessons❤.
She has a great delivery, I wish she was my teacher.
Thank you! Why don't you take my group classes? www.healthyvocaltechnique.com/group-classes/
I've said this a lot. The 2000s seems to have it's own signature "sound" that all female singers seem to copy. I always think, that can't be your real voice.
I couldn't believe it! This opened me up. I really found my voice!! Thank you so much!!!
Support you my friend. Bless you on your singing journey!!! 'God bless you for protecting our country, sir.
thanks great content. i feel more confident with my own voice!
Thank you Victoria.Nice, nice, nice. I will practice on cultivating my own voice.
This was the best vocal exercise I’ve ever done. Kudos. You have a beautiful & versatile vocal tone & resonance
