I love how you just got straight to the point without blabbing about things we don't care about 🙂
Devanne Smith fr
Yes!
LOL!!!! So true!!! LOL!!!
Thank god. She got right to the point. I subscribed because of of that. Other videos babble so much 5 minutes in they are still going on about nothing with 3 min left and it’s over!
Ayemen!
I hate when I'm in the store and trying to read the labels and the people that work there always ask me "do you need help?" NO IM TRYING TO READ
Lasean Joyce. OMG yes! Why do they do that? And then they try to give you suggestions on products you didn't even show interest in. Next time I'm reading the ingredient label, and they come up to me asking if i need help, I'm gonna say "yes, you can help me, can you read the ingredients on this label for me?", lol.
Lasean Joyce 😂😂😂😂😂
Lasean Joyce 😂😂😂
Lasean Joyce 🤣🤣🤣
Same. Happened to me yesterday. That was my first time in the store and I wanted to to look if what I want was there or at least something interesting. The people that work there come and say " hello" like he meant what do you want ma'am. No let me some time duhhh.
1. Clarification shampoo
2. deep condition with protein hydrolyzed
3. Humectants
4. Almond oil, argon oil
5. Indirect heat
Thank you
thanks for this! although i must correct your spelling of argon (which is a gas name) to argan (an oil name).
@@advertstodayI got confused by that lol
WOW! Great video, especially the part about applying the indirect heat whether DCing or moisturizing and sealing! Thank you!
my dumb ass thought that because my hair was always dry but looked shiny that it was high porosity so i would drench my hair in castor oil, leave ins, moisturizers and more castor oil and wondered why it didnt work.
Golden Goddess, you not dum, you didn't know...
Girl you ain’t dumb lol. If you hadn’t made that mistake you wouldn’t have known if it worked for you or not !!
Rolling 🤣 I discovered that castor oil is the devil yet everyone else’s savior. I only use it on the tips of my twist outs in the winter 😭
Golden Goddess MEEEEEE but I have dyed hair so I’m hella confused
I can relate omg
Wow this was the most to-the-point low porosity video I've seen, very informative! Thank you
This video is right on time 🙌🏽😍
Omg i'm so glaf i found u. I have been so confused on what to do about my hair and i've been natural for 4 years now thank u so much for helping me.
i have *lots* of fine, low porosity hair. ive been using sulfate rich shampoos almost daily for years that straightened my hair, but after taking it slow and using products for wavy/curly hair, my (very mild) waves have popped out a lot more. your hair looks amazing!
Yes!!! That is what I do. I use those same oils and my hair loves it. I have that same bonnet. Nice!!! I apply direct heat. My hair loves the Shea Moisture Jamaican black castor oil leave-in. That you for sharing.
You are a Godsend. I literally want to send you a Thank You gift. This is the single, most useful hair video I've watched on RUclips. Bless you!!!!!!!
Loved this video, looking forward to trying this products and seeing how it helps.
Love this vid! Because of your hair porosity vid, I found out that I have low porosity hair, so this vid was perfect for me!! & I own everything you showed (except the hair dryer already ! ) ❤️👏🏾🙌🏾
So glad I could help love!
Thanks for sharing this is very informative, now I know which products to buy and which is best for my hair
Thank you for this... I’ll definitely be trying out the tips that’s you’ve recommended.
This video helped me sooooooo much. I always thought coconut oil was good for my hair, but coz it's low porosity I saw my hair was still dry as hell. Thank you thank you thank you ♥️♥️♥️
Now I can make better choices for my hair 😍😍
Great info I'll have to look out to the best results for my hair!
Great video lady! I use to think I had normal but I believe I have low. I put a hair strand in a glass of water and it sat on top for over 10 minutes. I may try it again just to be sure....
This was excellent, strait to the point and you gave a lot of tips in a short amount of time!!!! yaaay! thank you!
Love This Video So Much & Will Definitely Test All Of These Out.
I love your video my hair is definitely low porosity my hair gets dry so fast i could leave the house with moisture by the end of the day my hair is dry. I will try the Shea moisture products ❤️thank you again.
I’m doing my transition and this was so helpful 💕
Straight to the point! Love this 🥰
I don't know my porosity yet, I noticed that the extra moisture detangler makes my hair way softer and manageable than other Shea moisture products. I might have to try some of your tips.
Thank you for this! I'm low porosity too and I've been looking to buy new products 😊
such a helpful video! Definitely trying these out ASAP!
Good stuff fast and detailed thanks I got alot of hair and I'm blessed and I'd like to keep it that way ✊
Thank you! Will take these suggestions into consideration!
I mean I know the video was about hair but that lip color is everythingggg. #CharisseSquad 💜
I love that I am a low porosity natural and that I have been using every single one of these products since day 1!
OMG!!! I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. A few days ago, I was looking for low porosity hair products because for the past few months, my hair has been braking and generally just unhealthy, looking bad, very shrieked, falling out waaay too much, and it wasn’t always like that. And then, I miraculously came across this video. I bought the Shea misture products in this video, all of them. My hair is aliveeeee, my curls are poping, the deep conditioner did wonders to my hair, roots have not been curly for a long time, but they formed after using this deep conditioner, leave in conditioner also great for my hair, I also bought the leave in milk that someone mentioned in the comments, marvellous for my hair. Thank thank you thank you soo much. I’m gonna go ahead and get the oils and the glicerina too.
Hey can u tell me wts the name of the leave in milk?
I'm a black male and it's pretty traumatizing the ignorance I was taught about my natural God - Given - God Blessed Hair, these videos right here mean more to me than most could ever think. Very Valuable video right here ma'am thank you for the information, you look great, Black QUEEN
Do u use a clarification shampoo everyday tho? Like is this a daily routine or what
I just purchased the Shea Moisture hair mask!! Only because you suggested it😊
I use that same brand of veg glycerin. (It lasts forever!) I mix it with Heritage's rose water and spray my hair to keep it moist and soft in the summer. However, I read that humectants have the opposite effect when the humid summer weather ends.
Pam so humectants will be good for living in houston.. Great!!!
This is true. I live in Alaska and it's usually very cold and no humidity. I had to ditch all of my glycerin based products. :(
Very informative. Had to subscribe and hit the bell. I know I’m three years late but just started my natural hair journey. So better late than never.
Now I know that coconut oil has been one of the factors why my hair was so unhealthy. Been natural for 2 years and only started using coconut oil in September 2021, I should’ve know. Also she’s moisture products, don’t leave residue on may hair, my hair doesn’t get white, like it did with so many other products, apparently not suitable for low porosity hair. Thank you so much again.
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
New subbie🤗 this video was very helpful because my hair gets dry as the Sahara!!
I have low porosity hair and I have sweet almond oil and glycerin. Grapeseed oil is also very useful.
can you do a video on how do you know if your hair is low porosity love your videos!!
Thank you I enjoyed your video I have low porosity hair my natural 11 years
Thanks for making this informative and concise video. I hate fluff chatter when I’m watching an informative video. Keep up the good work. 😊
I love them items for my hair as well, team low porosity!
Very helpful video I have been natural 2yrs and I have low porosity hair and struggle to maintain moisture in my hair it always gets really dry and it’s like regular oils just sits on my hair
I do all of these for my low porosity hair but with different SheaMoisture products and a hooded dryer. I use SheaMoisture African Black Soap Deep Cleansing Shampoo (the first one not the new one) as well as SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Masque.
I am currently using that mask but I feel like it just sits on top of my hair 🥹 nothing absorbs, I've tried so many products, my hair is always dry and brittle. I just done that test today with a strand of hair and glass of water, my hair was floating. Nothing. Nada. 🥹 I'm gonna give it a try with the light oils, and continue until I find a decent product that works.
I have low porosity and I used to use the Shea moisture mask and my hair stopped responding to it - the Manuka honey deep conditioner by Shea Moisture is everything !
I use the manuka honey rn & I just saw it has hydrolized rice protein. I’m gonna try a deep condition/masque w no protein & see if I like it better.
There is protein in the Manuka deep conditionner. I realise it when I did a protein overload after using it every week instead of every 2 weeks. Just realised after 10 years of being natural that my hair are low porosity and protein sensitive. If you have low porosity hair, be careful too.
The formula was changed, same my hair stopped responding to the new formula. There is a youtber called NaturalEllise who has the original formula recipie.
@@SB-obsidian try TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask, it has honey in it which is a natural humectant
@@iheartkristal thanks!
The Jamaican black castor oil line is a strengthening conditioner just like it said , it will make your hair feel stronger , that's why people say their hair feels hard, so after I use it , I then rinse it out, and apply a moisturizing Rinse Out conditioner to balance out my hair , I do this every other wash or third wash , because it is a treatment, I don't use it every wash , I alternate the moisture balance, because we need strength and moisture, I also do the same with my daughters hair , it works great for us this way , no hair breaking anymore, no problem detangling , much more healthy, I love it !!!
This was simple and informative 💕👏🏽
aren't most low porosity protein sensitive ? I don't think using a protein based deep conditioner is the best thing to do honestly...
Agreed
That's what I always thought. Before I knew anything about porosity I had always wondered why hair masks would make my hair feel extremely dry and straw-like.
+Rebeca Hicks yeah lol..this is y people shouldn't listen to everything a youtuber says..you just have to find out what works for ur hair
+Caribbean Beauty I think silk protein is good for the hair but im not sure about others
+Ssizzle Bbacon yeah it is..but not for like everyday use..or it'll make ur hair feel like straw
Great video straight to the point
Hi Charisse can you do a video on how to manage your hair when transitioning to natural
great video! I have 2A low porosity hair with a protein overload. So just for people that may suffer from the same problem, please stay away from protein products. SheaMoisure brand makes a line specially for low porosity hair.
Thank you for the tips!💕
I have low porosity, 4b/4c (mainly 4c) hair and my hair ABSOLUTELY loves the JBCO line, especially the deep condish and shampoo.
Me too
My hair does too
@@lokey8558 I have the exact same hair type 😂
How do u say 4c , this & that? How do u know?
I agree what's the lip color you are wearing ??? it's beautiful!!!
Honestly before I watched this video I had been using all these things on this list for over a year and my hair loved all of it( 4a/4b) low porsity
Can I get some help from you,how do I apply all these,,am requesting for your directions thank you
So cute! I love this video, especially since I am a LoPo girl! And yes, the product buildup is too real!!!
So that's i love hydrolised protein. great video. tfs .
I am low porosity and protein-sensitive 3c/4a. I had to give up all proteins and products which mimic proteins. I wish I had known this long ago - I could have saved my hair from breaking off and coming out. Now that I know, my hair is starting to grow in healthier and it’s so soft!! I cannot use hydrolyzed proteins; no animal, wheat, soy, rice, milk, etc. proteins; no casein, collagen, or keratin; no oat flour; no silk amino acids; no coconut oil and no aloe vera (unless they are last on the ingredients list). I am down to the bare-basics. Although, my wallet is much happier now! Lol
Housewives62 what are some products you use then?
Yes which products do you use?
What products do u use???
What products you use bc we have the same hair types and protein thingy
Do you mind telling us what you use? I can’t find much product out there that DONT contain proteins
Dryer bonnet! Got it! Thx.👍🏼
That specific Shea Moisture line (Jamaican Black Castor Strengthen & Grow) did not do well with my low porosity- type 3 hair. Made my hair shed a lot due to all the protein so I tried Kinky-Curly Clarifying shampoo and that made a big difference.
Great science! Thank you!
Great product suggestions !
Thanks! They're my favorites :)
IM ALWAYS COMING BACK TO THIS VIDEO
omg...I love your room!
I've read that because glycerin likes to absorb water it can also absorb the water that is in your hair aswell. I haven't noticed it personally. But in my skin it does that.
Very informative video . But how do I find out my hair porosity if I'm transitioning . Also can you please list the top 5 clarifying shampoo that you know . Because lately my scalp has been itchy & surprisingly I don't have dandruff
Awesome tips, thank you
I was looking to find a video on some products I can try for my thirsty hair and my name is Cheryce also so I’m hangin with you girl ! Lol
literally i bought almond oil for my natural hair the other day and this is the softest its ever been
Very informative, thanks.
Low Porosity here: I love using grease to seal in my hair. It’s hard for me to find really good sealants
Excellent video. Quick and to the point and informative! Thank you!!
Hi can you do a detail wash day routine from shampooing to styling
The JBCO line by Shea Moisture dried my hair out. It felt like straw. I like jojoba oil. I will be buying more of that.
yumiko0017 I had the same problem.
yumiko0017 same here
yumiko0017 ahhh I thought i was the only one that hated it
My hair HATED that line. Hair was stiff and brittle. I'm trying Garnier Triple Nutrition next....
It's because low porosity hair is usually protein sensitive... her hair maybe the exception. The JBCO line has protein in it and that's why it's drying to our hair.
Hello can I use a steamer cap for my deep conditioning and can I add honey to my conditioner for a humectant and for a deep moisturizing conditioner add some oils thank you very well explained about low prosity hair 😆
I need to pray for my 4cxz hair, it is impossible to deal with. I have no idea what do put on my hair. I have tried so many products and it is very expensive to buy products.
Have you tried a hot oil treatment?
Thank u so much for sharing 💕...just subscribed
is it okay if the product says hydrolyzed corn wheat and soy protein cause my fav conditioner has that and I hope that okay .its the garneir fructis damage eraser butter
soooooo helpful thank you!
Hey Charisse! Im Cherese! 😂 Thanks for the suggestions for low porosity hair. Much needed!
This has everything I ever wanted to hear
That painting above your bed is lovely. Where is it from?
I love olive oil and apricot oil!!
What are your favorite deep conditioners?
Love those... just reordered glycerin! 😣 I big chopped for the second time Saturday and my hair has been a tragedy
thanks for the tips 😀
Hi hon I like your vlogs but I have low porosity hair but I am also protein sensitive so I have the double whammy and it took 3 years to figure out about the protein problem which really messed up my scalp so bad that I cut off all my hair, it grew so long that I was getting headaches and the itching and burning was terrible so some of us can't use too much or any protein!! But I love my almost bald head. Thanks for the vids!!:)
Loulou Willis low porosity hair and protein sensitive is synonymous! We have enough protein in our hair naturally so if we can’t add any protein to our hair and if we do if should only be once a month! I found out I was low porosity cuz I tried to do a diy egg protein treatment and my hair was so mad at men! I’m learning that you really have to research what RUclipsrs tell you before you do it
Awesome and straight to the point if it's more than 7 minutes, I out of here 😁Blessings 🙏🏽
Def have low porosity, protein sensitive hair a lot of these products don't work fr my hair. I suppose it might be because I live in south Florida n the heat causes my hair to gets super dry. Protein just add to my dryness.
Thank you Charisse,for sharing.
You're welcome, Charisse! 😎
I JUST started using vegetable glycerin and let me tell you... I love it!!!! Great for when wearing wigs
thanks this video is really usefull for me. now The problem is Where to find it!!!
Do you have a regimen video where you show how to use these?
Do you use any leave- in conditioner for you hair ? And which one, please? Thanks
Very helpful
Can you make an advice video?About school, boys, and being successful.
What is a good styling product? That is great for twist outs and not heavy
Great video! All you need to know in a nutshell.
This was So helpful! And kind of crazy that the first youtubers video I clicked on about low porosity hair has the same name as me. What are the odds haha
