I can totally relate !!! My hair was so thick and curly , now it's like 1/4 of what it used to be and the curls are gone (probably from heat damage and bleaching)

Thank you ! My whole life I had straight hair like FKG straight. But since i'm 18, my hair changed and it became wavy. I tried a lot of wavy hair routine but the products just sits on my hair and look heavy and greasy. The symptoms you mentionned are exaclty a description of my hair so I will try your routine ❤
Saaaame. I went back to shampoo and conditioner with sulfates and silicones and that helped. Also prioritizing hydration majorly. Bare min leave in conditioner right after shower
We literally have the same hair type. Low porosity, 2a/2b hair. Very frizzy 😩literally every single thing you describe about your hair is the same as mine. I cant use thicker hair masks, or leave in conditioners, everything just sits on my hair instead of my hair absorbing it. Would love to see some videos with product recommendations 👍🏽 (one tip I love and always do it applying heat with hair conditioners/masks, I feel like the heat helps with absorption)
ditto with the heat thing! you just have to be gentle with your hair under heat or else it can break off (for example, don't detangle right after applying heat, don't style it with heat if you can avoid it, etc)

@@jasanahis one quick question about the Briogeo Don't Despair Repair Hair Mask, do you use it after each regular shampoo or ONLY after the detox one ? aka except when detoxing your hair, you only use shampoo in the shower ?
I have very fine hair, but A LOT of it. My hair is also very long (down to my waist,) and it’s very confusing. When I let it air dry, it’s just a frizzy, semi-wavy mess. No matter how I style my hair (even with color wow dream coat,) the underside is always frizzy. My hair is also SUPER oily. Like Im talking less than 24hrs before my hair gets greasy. (I guess my hair is practically the definition of low porosity hair! 😂) Therefore, I wash my hair every day. Yes, EVERY DAY. And before anyone says anything, yes; ive tried “hair training.” When I was trying to “train my hair” for a few months, that was probably the least healthy my hair has ever been. And even worse, it didn’t even “train” my sebum production! Everyone acts like daily washing is cardinal sin, but everyone’s scalp is different! Not only does my hair feel amazing with daily washes, but I always get compliments on how long, thick, shiny, and healthy my hair is. So for all my girlies with greasy hair who have been shamed out of washing their hair every day - do what works for YOUR hair! The lower porosity your hair is, the more frequently you will (most likely) need to wash it. I know this doesn’t really have anything to do with the video, but I just thought that someone out there would need to hear this. :)
Hair training is actually *horrible* for your hair. Sebum contains DHT, which causes hairloss. When your sebum builds up on your scalp, so does your DHT, which causes hairloss and thinning.
@@sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 that’s so interesting… I always thought for the reasons above in og comment and the extra shed I experienced that my hair prefers daily/almost daily shampoo but now I know WHY
Omg I’m so happy I found you! You have no idea my hair is literally exactly like yours and I’m so excited to try the products and be excited about my natural wavy hair ❤
I found out that if I'm gonna use a creamy leave-in conditioner then I have to skip the conditioner in the shower. Basically I get the best result when: shampoo, conditioner and then watery leave-in conditioner on dripping wet hair OR shampoo, directly creamy leave-in conditioner also on dripping wet hair. Then you can go in with your styling product of choice (cream or gel), scrunch out the excess water with a fiber towel, hair protectant spray and u can close with blow drying ur hair (diffuse or wharever u you like). Never go all out with too many products!! It will just weight down your waves (especially if u have fine hair).
This makes so much sense. I am a wavy to curly haired girl and I know I have low porosity. I don't follow everything in cgm more like trial and error and I always use less amount of hair product than my friends and family even before knowing abut porosity.
So I have wavy/curly (2b-3a) EXTREMELY low porosity hair that's very fine, almost like baby hair. I feel like because I live in a dry climate, literally the second driest climate in the US (in Utah,) the things that work for my low porosity hair are totally opposite to the things that work for yours. I have to use very moisturizing, thick, creamy products or else my hair is literally like straw and it refuses to curl. The thing that really helps is using products that have no protein, or very little protein. If I use anything with protein in it my hair feels like frizzy, poofy straw that feels rough to the touch and refuses to curl. The Dae monsoon moisture shampoo and conditioner are perfect (they're rich and creamy and contain only a small amount of protein,) except I'm looking for something else now because I'm super allergic to them lol. And coincidentally the Dae cactus fruit styling cream along with a gel works perfectly as a curl cream and also replaces a leave-in conditioner. The most annoying thing about my hair is that I absolutely have to wash it every day, or every other day if I put it up on the second day, because it loses moisture so fast. I feel like each time I wash it, moisture gets added back into it and makes it a little softer and less frizzy. By the end of the day my curls are frizzy and a mess, no matter what hair products I use. Any time I travel to somewhere that has even a little bit of humidity, I suddenly don't have these problems so I know that it's just the fact that dry climates are terrible for wavy or curly hair.
this is gonna sound a little dumb from me but have u tried just re hydrating your hair with water every morning? when i wear my hair naturally (wavy) i have to rehydrate it with a spray bottle otherwise it looks so bad 😭 i get ur struggle sm

Pacifica's Scalp Love serum is really nice and soothing! Has good ingredients. It is water based so it doesnt make scalp oily. I use that after I shampoo but use it almost like a scalp treatment bc i rinse it out bc i use a lot. or i just use Oriso Aloe Gel and leave it on for a bit, then rinse. both feel so nice 😊
its weird that my hair via test def showed low porosity (didnt even think of drowning) but im kinda the opposite of all "symptoms". oh well, hope this helped everyone else!
It mainly depends on hair texture! It causes more damage for straight hair, but less damage for curly hair. If you have wavy hair you kind of have to figure it out yourself I think?? If you want to know why I can try to find the video that I learnt it from! My hair is wavy and for me it’s best to comb my hair when it’s wet with conditioner. When it’s dry I find it’s best just to finger detangle. But I still use a detangling brush if I want to save time because my hair is healthy enough that a little more damage isn’t the end of the world!
I literally have all the characteristics of low porosity hair except for the fact that my hair dries quite fast now I'm so confused if I actually have low porosity hair or not.

I use that after I shampoo but use it almost like a scalp treatment bc i rinse it out bc i use a lot. or i just use Oriso Aloe Gel and leave it on for a bit, then rinse. both feel so nice 😊
Can you tell me, what kind of medicine you used for the kitten?
@6:30 “see how I didn’t go crazy with the sprays, very cuties, very demure” 😅
This is very helpful
Thank you!

its weird that my hair via test def showed low porosity (didnt even think of drowning) but im kinda the opposite of all "symptoms". oh well, hope this helped everyone else!
How often should you wash your hair with low porosity hair though?!
I see you're combing wet hair. Is that good for low porosity hair?
It mainly depends on hair texture! It causes more damage for straight hair, but less damage for curly hair. If you have wavy hair you kind of have to figure it out yourself I think?? If you want to know why I can try to find the video that I learnt it from!
My hair is wavy and for me it’s best to comb my hair when it’s wet with conditioner. When it’s dry I find it’s best just to finger detangle. But I still use a detangling brush if I want to save time because my hair is healthy enough that a little more damage isn’t the end of the world!
I'm a guy can i follow this routine? I'm pretty sure i have low porosity hair also its dry and frizzy. I'm trying to grow out my hair and its hard!
Can we massage with oil on low porosity hair before shower??
Do you have any other shampoos? You enjoy besides k18. I’m on the hunt! lol.
fable & mane, head and shoulders, loreal the elvive line, briogeo, & bondi boost!
I literally have all the characteristics of low porosity hair except for the fact that my hair dries quite fast now I'm so confused if I actually have low porosity hair or not.
Same! 🤔
Does anyone know any drugstore dupes comparable to the redken heat repair?
if you want to oil your hair before shampoo use jojoba oil on dumb hair (i only do this on the ends)
Love this! Ty ❤ those nails are so cute too! Are they natural?
It doesn’t worked for me 😢 it still looks shitty but with more product in it :(
How many times I should wash my hair ???
I deff have low poros hair. I think the only thing I don’t have issues with is the greasiness.
