Can we just all take a second to admire her beauty tho
That’s the only reason why I opened this video

You can, I think it's weird. I'm just here to hear some hair tips lol
@@meandepiphany why is it weird 😭 theyre just saying she is so pretty like you can think she’s pretty and get tips for hair too 😭
@@lickmybussy760 "take time to admire her beauty" is us being asked to stop, have a moment of silence and worship this lady. Admire your damn self. That's why people have self esteem issues now.
Yasss! Styling with soaking wet hair has worked so well for me. I wash, deep condition, and apply my leave-in while in the shower. I leave my shower cap on to seal in the moisture with heat. Then when I'm ready, since my hair is still soaking wet I put my styler (gel/cream) on and then air dry or diffuse. This has been a game changer for my wash and go routine. I have low porosity hair and my curls have been looking so bomb since I started doing this.
what products do you use?
Yes I do it that way too My hair needs lots of water! Took years before I realized that
i feel like when i spray my hair with water when doing twists it feels like it’s slipping right off.. any tips to help?
I’m going to try this thank you
@@mood3511 I use Maui moisture shampoo and conditioner and aunt Jackie's gel
Finding out I have low porosity hair has been a game changer. I totally agreed with your tips, warm water is our best friend, deep conditioning with a shower cap is a must, and styling on wet/damp hair is soooo much easier💯💛
Well depends on where you live. In my country hot water is horrible for any hair
@@alexandrag89 she is saying warm not hot
@@elena0305 lol warm or hot same thing here
Thank u for summing up
Can I refresh with warm water or will this dry my hair out
the cold water one is a relief tbh 😂 i hate finishing a shower with cold water
Low porosity over here🙋🏽♀️this was very helpful!
Yes! Especially the info about NOT using 'cooler' water to seal in conditioner
Damn! You damn near look just like her...

U are so right with everything....cold water makes my hair stiff and hard I tried that when first went natural following the trend of other naturals it was horrible love your video...🤗
Ok thank gosh it’s not only me. I used cold water too and my hair was a hot mess and hard to handle. I thought I did it wrong cause it seemed to work for everyone else so you saying this really made me feel better
So true lol
Omg same like i kept seeing people say "heat will cause damage to your hair" but noooo thats what it NEEDS im low porosity, friend 😭
I’m just finding out today that I shouldn’t rinse with cold water lol
😆 me learning today I'm low!
yep same

I just discovered my hair was low porosity. My entire life I thought I was high. Omg😭 what a lifestyle change I was wondering why my hair acts a certain way!
Same lmao but gaw damn u mad fine 😭

Me too!!!!! Now that I know what I'm truly dealing with, I see such a difference.

Oh my goodness. The tip about heat with deep conditioning stood out to me. I took my hair out of braids about a month ago. When I finally got to wash day, I deep conditioned and because I could not find my shower cap and I ran out of plastic bags, I opted to blow dry it all over while the deep conditioner was in. Its been 3 washes ever since and my hair is so ridiculously soft it still amazes me. So now I understand what caused the softness.
OMG thanks though them heat caps and Amazon are so expensive but I have a blow dryer like should I use a diffuser head or like something else
@@siennamelake9940 Use a nozzle. Put it on a heat setting and then just blow dry over the bag. You can even put a bit of heat into the bag, just be careful because you don't want to burn the plastic off.
@@ilzeamos274 ok thank you 🙏🏽

Yes Cold water does Not work for Low Porosity hair because that makes the hair cuticles More “hard headed”, Lolololol Smh

6 months into my hair journey I still didn’t know why my hair wasn’t working well with my products. Thank you so much.
Same! I'm here for low po knowledge and she hit almost every point🖤✊🏽

veryyyyyy informative. I have low-porosity curls, and I would always think that, I was doing something wrong when wouldn't use a cold rinse when washing my hair lol. definitely gonna try sitting under a heated dryer.
I’m more of a 2C/3A hair type but my hair is low porosity and stubborn as a mule and I’m learning so much from your video!
What gel do you use to curl it? We have similar curl patterns.
Yes
Same here....my hair is also thinning as I age.... I'm now 56 ...
M so glad to hear you Answer the questions i've been having, coz i currently found out about my hair porosity which is Low.. which makes sense to why most products didnt work for me and i end up overusing products hoping to find silky smooth hair....
Learning about low porosity hair has been the most helpful thing with transforming my hair! I used to do all the mistakes you mention. Cold water at the end was the big one. I also kept trying deep conditioners, thinking they just didn't work. It was like I had done nothing so it felt like a waste of time, and I haven't even bothered more than a few times in my life. I bought a heat cap last year once I learned about porosity. I had already given my deep conditioners away though, so I'm still trying to find the right one to try it with!
This is easily the most accurate, easy to follow, and informative video on Low Porosity hair! Thank you🙏🏽🥰
For real!
girl, you have helped me! I was wondering why my hair was sooo dry, & never have moisture. I have super thick & curly hair so I thought I needed to use a lot of products! these steps have helped me so much.
What you said especially about shampooing 👏👏👏👏 couldn't agree more I have low porosity hair as well and I think we have a close/similar hair type. I recently cut off my hair in a short bob and I'm looking forward for this new hair journey.
how’d it go? :)
You gained another subscriber with all these gems. So happy to see not only similar curls to mine but also low porosity thank you
Totally agree with every point you made. I'm the same! Thank you!!!
Just one detail: scientists have found that hot/cold water doesn't open/close the cuticle. It's all in the products you use: your conditioner opens the cuticle and heat activates the conditioner, but water doesn't open or close the cuticle... 🤷
Girl, you saved me!! Just realized that I have low porosity hair.😭
I thought I had a high porosity because I use chemical dying... But I was soooo wrong. Thank you, really!
Loved the video. Many of the things you have mentioned I have figured out with trial and error also. I will try the deep conditioning with heat. Thanks!
This was VERY helpful to me. I will try the warm water in the spray bottle. I don't want to give up on my wash and go's. Your hair is beautiful, so that inspires me as well. Thank you!
Gorgeous 🥰. Yea heat with deep conditioning changed everything for the better for LPro hair
I am completely agree with cleaning/clarifying your hair. I also agree that our hair can behave very differently. I used the co-wash process for years and wondered why I couldn't get the results I wanted. I decided to wash my hair for the first time in years, but found that shampoo really did strip my hair. I tried several brands. I started using a non-shampoo homemade cleansing process. Game changer!!!!
These tips are way too good to pass up, thank you for sharing! I have 100% agree with shampooing once a week is *KEYYY* . Using heat with my deep conditioner is a must, I def can't do my wash day properly without it.
Love this! Thank you! I also have low porosity and I can relate!!
I can't thank you enough everything makes so much sense suddenly!!🤍
your gorgeous🤩
Thank you! I'm newly entering the complexities of curly hair and the first thing I did was learn about porosity (I have low). I tried to absorb as much info as possible, but I didn't learn about the affects of protein and am now struggling with breaking/dry hair and hair loss due to protein overload. I'm struggling to figure out what's best, but I'm slowly figuring it our through trial and error (like that protein overload😅). Any raw, truthful material is so helpful! Thank you!
Makes so much sense. You are the queen!
Finally, I found someone with my exact curl pattern and is low porosity!
This is the video I didn't think I needed, thank you!!! I am going to try different techniques !
I’m a guy with low porosity hair, but I can’t stand it when my hair don’t wanna cooperate. Will definitely be trying out these tips
I agree hun. Steaming my conditioned hair was a game changer. My hair loves it.
your hair looks so lively
Thanks for this. I'm going to try these tips with my kids because that is what I've been reading. One thing I found with my oldest is when applying a product the next day to refresh it if I add the product 1st then water it looks better. I told another mom that & she said it really helped. But we have boys & there's only so much they will let us do. They hate the look but don't want to put in the time.
I must say...im sooo glad i found this vid. What you say makes alot of sense. I have low porosity hair and was cold rinsing, not using heat for my hair mask etc....and my hair is still dry. Time for a change.Thank you
wow you just opened my eyes i use cold water to rinse and i haven't been liking it just thought it was what i was suppose to do know i know i have to get on the deep conditioning with heat i have a salon hair dryer and don't even use it had it for years so i have no excuses thanks
I loved all your tips! Thank you so much!
So glad they were helpful love! ❤️
this video was SOO helpful, thank you!!! i’m literally taking all advice
I am relaxed with low porosity and all what you said is correct. Down to the co washing my hair hated that. My hair always felt icky so I realised my hair loves being shampooed my hair comes back to life. Yes so all what you said is very true.
I subscribed and turned on my post notification,I love this video I've tried these methods their working on my hair I just love it
hey queen!! this video was so helpful my hair has been completely heat damaged from straightening all through high school so now in college i’m figuring out how to handle it//can u list products u use!?
Okay ...This video is well needed ....you expressed so many informative tips for my low porosity hair....things I wish I knew years ago.... definitely appreciate you ...for me my hair is your hair texture but not nearly as thick ...over the years my hair has thinned tremendously I'm guessing due to genetics, medication as well.... I'm only wanting to keep my hair texture, keep it trimmed and in a protective style done professionally at least until I see improvement/results in it ... again thank you....hope to see more videos from you soon
I tried all these last night before watching this & i noticed a major difference
Paying attention to my hair is really helping me to know what works for me, my low porosity hair really work well with warm water than cool water, my last wash day proof it, and it is true to try different things you will see the one that work best for you..
You are right, I do all of things things regularly. Thank you !
Love this video- found this all true this week. thank you!!
Thank you for this, especially tip 1! I always feel shamed whenever curly influencers are like "This is day 8 hair!" and I'm sitting here with my limp, stringy, greasy day 3 hair 🤣
For real though, my curls have been much more kind to me now that I cowash on Monday/Tuesday and cleanse on Thursday/Friday ❤
Maybe because ur white... black hair and white hair is different, ofc ur hair is gonna get greasy if u dont wash it
@@moebelle4591 Any hair will get greasy if you don't wash it though..? Like, obviously different textures don't show grease as easily as others, and like you said, black hair can go much longer without being washed (for which I will be eternally jealous) but porosity plays a key factor in it. India Batson, and white curly haired youtuber, has stated in some videos that she can go an entire week without washing her hair and hers doesn't look greasy at all. It just depends on the porosity of hair. I have thick, course, low porosity hair, so if I do happen to go for a week without washing my hair, of course it'll get greasy from product buildup. Like I said, I only wash my hair twice a week and it hardly gets greasy anymore. I just had to find what worked for my hair and stopped trying to do what worked for people with thin, fine, high porosity hair.
im glad you found a routine that works for you!
@@moebelle4591 race isn't really a factor here your hair porosity is
This is a gamechanger to me !! Now i finally understand why the sh** expensive keratin spray behaved so ugly in my hair and why i allways feel like conditioners dont work properly on me.
Thank you soooo much omg 😆
thank you for this video !!! it was so informative
Me realizing my hair is low porosity has been the best thing. Don’t style only according to curl pattern. My hair so low porosity. I struggle to get moisture in my hair. I deep condition with a deep conditioning cap and I leave it on for an hour. And diffusing sucks out the moisture for me. Air drying works better for me because it allows moisture to be on my hair longer. Also sealing my ends with jojoba oil after my leave-in and gel made such a difference. The most important thing is to style when hair is dripping wet. My hair also hates coconut and aloe. It makes it brittle and dry (they can act as protein mimickers). Oh and shea butter is to heavy for my hair and makes my curls limp.
I have natural wavy thin hair. And it gets a lot frizz and dry and I too feel my hair hates coconut and aloe Vera I don’t know what shampoo or conditioner to use anymore please help
Omg I have exactly the same issues here with my lovely, but untameble low porosity curls. Thank you for the tips! ❤️
Same exact issues here I have no ideas what conditioners to use not deep conditioner just regulars ones let me know please
Thank you! I've been styling my hair while wet and it has been awesome. I also learned I need to shampoo more and not be so scared of shamppoing as I was before!
I'm definitely going to try the heat styling you recommended and to stop my cold rinse! Thank you and also you are soooo beautiful 💖
thank you so much for your tips and I'm actually really shocked i didn't learn about the cold water sooner like i always start washing my hair with luke warm water and then a cold rinse but now you said that the cold water doesn't do anything thanks for that know I know
Thank you!!!! I needed this!
Wish I found this video two years ago. Mainly articles popped up when looking up or obsessing about hair porosity. Made those same mistakes. Good information as to why those are not healthy for low porosity hair. A lot of us probably go by the book and then realize the hair porosity matters.
Yaaaas! I style with SOAKING wet hair and it works very well for me. I have LP hair.
Wow thank you!!
I feel like I’m all alone having low porosity hair. I colored my hair & everyone told me it was high porosity. After doing a protein treatment & then researching, I am 110% it is low po.
When I wore my hair straight, I washed w shampoo, 4 days later used cleansing conditioner, repeat.
Now I find I feel like I need to wash hair every other day. I didn’t use any product before tho.
So I kinda wish I didn’t have to use creams & gels on my hair.
How do you use enough product to keep hair from frizzing up, but not too much to weigh it down??
Yes I agree with you .. I’m low porosity myself
Yes i’d rather warm water in my hair never cold.
It's so helpful!
After 20 years YASSSSSS THIS IS VIDEO
I LEARNED SO MUCH.
THANK YOU 😊

Very helpful information. Thank you!
I use a face steamer for my deep conditioning, and to refresh my curls... great info!
really helpful video! after watching this, i think i may have normal porosity..maybe some low!
In the 80s we were doing wàsh and gos starting with very wet hair. Then decades later, along came plopping. We were doing cowashes between our weekly shampoo washes. I jumped on every bandwagon that came my way and now I have gone back to the 80s when my hair was at it's best.
Everything you say is absolutely true, esp about the protein. My hair LOVES protein.
This is amazing advice thank you. I have to style my hair with water.
This was so helpful! Ever since I’ve put a color rinse on my hair, it is so DRY! Every time I get in the shower globs of hair fall our and I’m so devastated. I’m definitely gonna follow these tricks ❤️ and btw you’re gorgeous!
I'm so happy it helped! Oh no, have you tried the apHogee 2 step treatment? When I was transitioning to natural hair this product was my saving grace! Do you use heat at all? Also, thank you so much! 🥺❤️
You need protein followed by moisture w low to manipulation styles... Nothing that causes tension... Sleep w satin...
Thank you every thing a needed to know to change my low P routine!
thank youuuuuu for this video!! super useful and informative!
I'm glad it helped! ❤️
this video was super helpful so thank you! your curls are beautiful btw and i love the lashes

My hair is a low porosity and with all kinds of products used, I felt they weren’t working for me not knowing all I needed was alil heat 😅
Omg I’m so glad to connect. Hair twins
I literally watched a video about a month ago suggesting to wash with cold water and so I tried it and now I realise I probably shouldn't have 😅
I also realised today that I have *such* low porosity hair and also that my shampoo has sulfates in 🙃🙃 my curls ain't thriving rn 😅
Gonna try some of these tips, thank you!!
I get that! I've caught myself doing that in the past until I learned way more about my hair- give it a shot, then come back and let me know how it goes! ❤️

Thank you love! ❤️
i had to get a chop of 1 1/2 inches of hair because my ends were so dry and i wanted to find a way to start a hair health journey so i started out with finding out my porosity and hair type. I’m a 3c-4a with low porosity hair. finding out i had low porosity was upsetting cause i thought i would have no hope. i’m hoping to find good tips and start my school year with beautiful hair , any tips would be great!! 💙💜
Girl your very last point is what I struggle with. So many people say damp and just like you said the rest of the hair dries out.
U should get a spray bottle and fill it with hot/warm water so u can re wet it easily. That’s what I do x
Thank you!!! I thought heat was BAD, BAD, BAD. I was doing the cold rise, no heat, and trying conditioner after conditioner.
Great advice. Thanks so much.
Your hair looks so amazing
I was co washing for a couple weeks up until now and confused as to why my hair was looking funky so I started using cold water only to wash my hair...... Thank goodness for your video and channel😭 thank you
Oohhh that’s why my hair feels like that when I use cold water😭
This is SOOOO Helpful!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, I used to treat my hair like it was coarse and normal porosity. Most hair products for curly hair never worked for me
Thank you for your amazing video.
It was really helpful.🥰
Love from Germany 🇩🇪❤️
I used heat with deep conditioner for the 1st time this week. ITS LITERALLY S GAME CANGER!!!❤️
I wish my hair took protein well my hair literally BREAKS if I use that stuff but anyways all ur tips are amazing so thank you and I will definitely add heat to my routine 🥰
I wash my hair once every two weeks. That works for me. The Camille Rose products are a life changer for me.
I have low porosity hair also and I wash my every 2-3 weeks. I have included the Camille Rose Ginger Cream Rinse to my hair strands only (because I use a LOT of product on my hair to keep it moisturized between washes). I use the tgin Shampoo for low porosity hair to my scalp. Works great!!!
@@iaaeottg21 wait so when do you moisturize every week?
...I had a feeling there was a reason my hair felt better every time I forgot to use cold water in my last rinse.
You add heat with a deep conditioner then you seal it in with cold water to retain the moisture. I was told that’s the way it works when I went to the salon. The stylist warned me before running cold water over my hair because it’s truly cold. It feels like ice after being under the Steamer. L🤣L!
I’m still unsure of what my hair porosity is 😩 I think it’s normal but idk, nice video💕
if you wash your hair( do not use conditioner) just wash it and let it air dry don’t use any products and then take a strand and put it in room temperature water it’ll tell you, wait 15 mins If it sinks that’s means you have high porosity, if it’s in the middle it’s normal/medium and if it’s floating that means you have low porosity
@@johnellehayden27 ty ! ✨
Try the water test with a strand of hair
I used warm water on my hair, and it worked so well
My low porosity 3a/2c is weighing down to a wavy level...the only thing I changed was more co washing. Definitely trying to shampoo more
No, but, I just found out that I have low porosity hair a bit ago. And I read on several sources that you should rinse your hair out with cold water after deep conditioning because it helps seals cuticles to keep in moisture. But imma try these and see how it works because I HATE rinsing my hair out with cold water
I am 28 years old and I have been doing my last rinse with cold water ever since I was 14. I think you might have just changed my life! 😂
Omg yes I used to be so reluctant to washing my hair often cause of its rep for drying out curly hair, I would keep it at 1-2 times a month but my hair would always be like super oily yet still dry, like products would literally just sit on my hair it was so annoying. Then I started doing weekly washes and saw soooo much difference in moisture and growth. Also stopped letting my hair air dry after putting in products and instead started covering it with a plastic bag and bonnet overnight and my hair retained it all soo much better, I was shocked, it was like everything I had been taught about curly hair was a lie lmaoo😭
Thank you so much for this! I just discovered what porosity is and that I have low porosity hair. I was always told to rinse with cold 🤦🏼♀️
Thank You!! You have been a Great Help!👍👍👍👍💝💖💗😊🥰 👍👌
