Meta warlocks can auto attack while spamming searing pain, and drain life.
And thunderfury proc does scale with sp. soooooo… Shadowfury cursed blade of the demonseeker or riot.
Warlocks can already use Thunderfury.
The class restriction was never actually coded into the quest, so anyone can get it, and anyone that can wield 1h swords can use it.

Mage prio for sure
Paladin tanks can make good use of it, since their current build favors faster swinging weapons and Thunderfury is a relatively fast weapon.
Flurry axe would be better for single target.

Hunter deserves all
Hunter will get a book that allows the use of multiple unique items, thus being the obvious choice for dual wield TF.
They should allow rogue tanks to dual wield them
chance on hit item=hunter weapon nobody can use full potential with other classes

Change it's designed slightly and make it a fist weapon. Paladins would need to be given fist weapon skill but it's more thematic than giving shamans sword skill.
going from a purely logical standpoint of who would benefit the most from thunderfury besides a warrior i would have to say rogue tank... that being said i barely see any warrior or rogue tanks so reality is that its probably gonna be a bunch of paladins running around with it

Memes aside, if your guild cares about performance hunters are going to be the pick. However classic easy and you aren’t going to need it to clear content. Give it to who has put the most dedication into the group.
Big time wrong... Thunderfury has ALWAYS been tank priority... Warriors and Paladins will be first prio... then Rogues and THEN if all warriors pallys and rogues have it... then MAYBE hunters... big maybe

Rogue tanks are insanely good atm, but won't use Thunderfury because they only use daggers since Mutilate is completely fucking broken.

and this social engineering is why I don't do raids. I just wanted a cool spelldamage sword but as a paladin I was never gonna get magesong... so instead of trying to convince people, who ran MC just before Naxx came out that I was healing and this was a really good upgrade for me and no mage in the raid needed a weapon.... I just stopped raiding and decided - pre-raid bis is my endgame.
Thats if they let it in for SoD..
Problem with giving druids Thunderfury is that they'd be in form the whole time, thus kinda making it a stat stick imo. Now warlocks would be an awesome idea. I remember in Gnomer our Metalock Tank's majority of damage would come from melee. It would be awesome to see Warlock be able to equip it.
Hunter bis - tanks are fine and more damage always more better especially since now they get runes to specifically buff their dual wielding unlike vanilla where it truly was a dumb meme

Thunderfury was primarily given to tanks because tanks lacked threat. In SoD tanks do not lack threat, therefore unless tanks lack threat in the future it doesn't even make sense to give the weapon to a tank. I'd say give thunderfury to the class/spec that benefits the most from it.
If we find out fury warriors will gain 100 dps from TF but rogues gain 70, give it to the warrior and vice versa. If the, yes, melee hunter benefits the most from this weapon give it to the hunter
Is your guild full of 60 Parsers? Tanks will always have some threat issues if dps are pushing the limits of their class. Especially on bosses with multiple mobs.
