With over 120million lifetime unique accounts, how many people who quit would come back for a Warcraft RPG?
Only concern with and rpg is if it's bethesda helping then the production time will take a decade.

This is incredibly based, and that is why it will never happen. I still remember the time I visited a friend of mine, who was the only person I knew who had a PC at the time. He was playing Warcraft 2, and I was absolutely blown away by the fact that you could play as "the bad guys" aka the orcs. This wasnt the horde, the noble savages who are one with nature, or some dumb shit. These were the orcs of Lich King, coming through the portal to wipe out all the humans and dwarves, and burn azeroth to the ground in the name of the burning legion.
Fast forward to today, and we basically have 2 different factions pretending to be at war, when in reality they might as well be the same. Troll paladins, tauren priests, the list of lore nonsense goes on and on. I like to think that in a single player RPG, blizzard would let you do some wild shit like join the twilight's hammer cult, and bring about the end of the world by unleashing an old god or something, but in reality, it'd be the most brain dead tame story ever.
I believe it will, mainly because of Microsoft's New mission statement. Multiplatform, and getting new subs to GamePass. But maybe I'm on hopium and crack cocaine lmao. I just think they'll make new games like this, I don't think it'll be soon, but I hope.
@@EbonhardtTV yeah i think that would be a great way to give players what they want, without the complicated dev process of balancing multiple decades of lore AND multiple decades of classes, specs, gear, expansions, etc.

bro a solo rpg in the warcraft universe would be INSANE. I love WoW but sometimes I would like to gear and raid on my own if that makes sense.. There is just no game where the combat feels as good as wow's. (in my opinion ofc). So let's do it, take my money!

You can definitely do that with private server projects. Look up SSP Repack for practically any version of the game up through Legion.
Many of them have bots scripted in the world doing quests, killing mobs and dungeons bots.
If you don’t want to set something like that up, The War Within is going to have these dungeons called Delves which you run with a couple NPCs like Bronzebeard.

A StarCraft style 3rd person RPG would be cool IMO.
Warcraft RPG on Unreal, with a build up of new lore. They could use this later to launch the next gen WOW.
Wow is so profitable that i doubt they would ever invest in another game that might or might not be good.

I've wanted a warcraft rpg in the style of Skyrim since Skyrim came out in 2011. But say Bethesda and Blizzard team up to make a Warcraft rpg, I would not want to know about the game cause I know it would take about a decade before it's release or teaser trailer.
Modern retail WoW is already setup as a single player game. Follower dungeons, soon to be delves, and story mode raids. Everything they are doing is setting up for single player. Soon solo shuffle will be truly solo, as it will be you teamed with 2 npcs against 3 other npcs. They started this AI pvp tech with Islands and comp stomp, so it won't be long before they release true solo shuffle. See, no need to make a single player WoW, it already exists.
Give me a goddamn single player warcraft game in the Bethesda Elderscrolls Type style. :D

I mean SoD is basically a single player experience right now as is, been level'ing in the open world the past few days and it's quite nice not have spurgs ganking lowbies as of late.

I’d love a non exp boost version of wow whereby you go through each expansion. So, by the end of the base game you’re at 60, tbc 70 and so on. Make it hardcore to and I’ll be hooked. Sadly I don’t think a subscription based game are worth it these days. There’s so many good games that I’m enjoying so why would I pay for the game and then sub? WoW is pretty much designed for those that haven’t played other games and are easily lead imho, generalising ofc.

World of Warcraft is fine lets stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Every game has issues but for some reason the wow community has the most cinical type of fanbase always wishing for the game to die or go back to the old days.

When will you realize the game will never be on that level again? the hearts and souls who birthed the game and guided its growth to its peek are gone... their child was taken, sold and extorted. There is no compassion only lust. I would argue the mind set you have that wow needs to be rebuilt into something different is effectively the issue with it now. The people working on the game now all seem to think the game needs to be what they want it to be... not for the game itself, but for themselves. Whereas originally it was made for everyone. We need to stop rewarding those who lay claim to other people's work. You included... telling people what you think the game should be... for your own benefit...... you don't care about this game, you care about yourself and what you can gain from it.... just like the parasites who run the game now.

World of Warcraft is a titanic game, and the universe is massive. And it honestly deserves more games in other genres. I care about this game and I deeply love and adore it. I've been playing the Warcraft franchise since 2001. Atleast watch a video before you criticize it next time lmao
