Blizzard: Where are the fans? Are they safe? Are they alright? Activision: it appears in your stupidity you pissed them off... Blizzard: Noooooooo!!!!!

Yep, exactly the same here, bro. I was like: "My dream company as a programmer certainly is Blizzard! So friendly; only golden titles that changed their genre as a whole; company that puts passion into their products." Now, I'd rather work for something like any mobile game developer rather than Blizzard haha. Just so bad, they have become...

Even more crazy when you consider their first games were licensed train wrecks like Home Alone on NES. So they were once a bad guy, then became a good guy, then back to bad. EDIT: OH WAIT THAT WAS BETHESDA!!!
I love how in a lot of business the companies have to make expensive research to get info on the client, but in video games you can just go to the community and hear exactly what they want/need, even by just looking at successful community projects of your game will be enough. Yet, the companies refuse to do so. The good thing is that nowadays big gaming companies are getting more in touch with the community. Age of empires is a example that comes to mind and look at the damm thing, the game is ancient by gaming standards yet the game is thriving

@@theloremandraws3753 Basically, the State of California is suing Activison Blizzard after claims were made of worker being sexually harassed and treated unfairly on the premises. One of the victims sadly took her life due to a supervisor passing around her nude photos around the work place during that time. He allegedly kept doing it after her death, which is fucking disgusting.
Die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. The death knell for blizzard, Diablo Immoral. It is Ironic the franchise that would show how evil the company has become is a game about hell.
The writing was definitely on the wall from the moment they merged with Activision and World of Warcraft had become beyond a certain level of popularity. Diablo 3 also had quite a lot of controversy back when it came out, but in hindsight it still was a solid game (as was Starcraft 2, even if they split the campaign across three versions of the game). Heck, Overwatch was mechanically fun to play, though obviously the greed had seeped in with their loot boxes and the like. All of their games post 2010 or so basically were exercises in "they're extremely greedy, but maybe the game is fun enough to be worth it." At a certain point, it no longer should be worth it.
Exactly. Nobody minds if they make a diablo spinoff game for mobile. But to announce it before saying anything about D4, at a convention full of hardcore, PC playing fans had to be the most braindead idea.
Because they are absolutely out of touch with reality. They thought that they are still the company they used to be. A company with the position that no matter what they show to their player base, it will love it, while in fact they were at the time a company that was on a downward spiral for years and they had staunch critics even amongst their most hardcore fans at the time.
Because there was no plan for Diablo 4 development. Immortal was supposed to lead the new trend of Blizzard, who heard that "mobile is the future". They had no idea how distant mobile fanbase is from their own.
Because that was SUPPOSED to be Diablo 4 in their eyes. They didn't actually start working on Diablo 4 until they realized everyone HATED the idea of Diablo going mobile. They would've gladly got rid of PC Diablo forever if they could.
Over years I grew to despise J.Allen Brack. His condescending and dismissive attitude towards the playerbase always made my blood to boil. If you are not listening to us, if you don't make games for us, if we are not your audience, then who the hell is your audience, Mr. Brack?!
Basically, gaming became a mega industry, and the focus shifted from consumers to investors. What consumers want doesn't matter anymore... only that they buy it, and they can get by on brand recognition alone at this point. All that matters is convincing shareholders, with no interest in video games themselves, that profits are coming. This is why real talent is strangled from the field, and people with no business at creative tables are there dictating the directions of these games. Why sleezebags with no talent in gaming hold positions of power regularly abused, like Todd Howard, Randy Pitchford, and others.
I was watching it online and I hollered a "WHAT?!?" Where I present in the event I don't know what I would do... The suits are the real evil, not only destroying Blizzard but many other game companies and franchises :'(

@Shazbot81 So Game masters, Customer Service and numerous other departments are Esports? They laid off 800 people bro, of that probably 20 had anything to do with Esports. Since then we can feel the effects of the lay offs in pretty much every Blizzard game..... It's actually quite black and white.
@Shazbot81 They also laid down people just to end up recruiting again for the exact same post after. Savjz's wife, who was a part of these layoffs talked about it publicly and got banned from going to blizzard events along with savjz. (savjz is a hearthstone streamer)

I'm bipolar, have PTSD, and combined, the two manifest some interesting super powers, like ultra-real night terrors for instance. In 2017, at the start of a three day weekend, I went from doing generally bad, to nearly unmanageable. Dealing with people wasn't really an option, and the idea of sleeping was out of the question, so I logged in to WoW. To occupy my mind, I set about pet farming. I didn't talk to anyone. No PvP. I just repeated a pattern over and over again until I'd get a drop, and move on to a different pet. I don't remember which one I got stuck on, but after 36 hours, nothing dropped. I was coming up on 50 hours of non-stop playing, and finally gave in to sleep, so I could function when I went back to work. After work, I discovered I was banned. They wouldn't tell me why, but I assumed they thought I had set up a bot. I poured out my conditions, but the responses only became more hostile. If you don't have either of my problems, it's not easy to understand what happens when they go rogue. It's pretty easy to write someone like me off, and just say, "Get a life, loser", but getting a life has nothing to do with it. Showing up in that life consistently would be like maintaining the same disposition immediately before, and after, you break a bone. If you were the only one who just broke a bone, it's kind of hard for everyone to relate to the sudden change in energy your bringing to the group. It's also kind of patronizing if they try. Being alone often feels better than anything else. WoW was a safety net. When I'm in a good place, I could go raid, tear around battle fields, manipulate the AH, or just chat with the guild. When I'm not good, I could log in, and distract myself, which occasionally means keeping myself from discovering what might be waiting for me if I fall asleep. I'm not really a gamer's gamer, and I haven't found any other games that could do for me, what WoW did. Neither condition is curable, and I don't respond to the known medications the way I'm supposed to. I was paying to play, banning me for playing, without considering why someone like me might occasionally stay logged in for really long stints, was pretty fucking cruel of Blizzard in my humble opinion.
I have schizoaffective disorder, so I can see were your coming from. I would freak if I had my games just ripped out of my hands like that. Video games help. If I'm not in the middle of an episode, I play things like F.E.A.R, go nuts in GTA 5, or play Far Cry 3 (which I guess, if you know the story mode of Far Cry 3, it's probably not the best game to play with my psychological issues, lol). However when I'm in the middle of an episode I play things like Lego Star Wars, Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion (the bright colors and whimsical music satisfy me) or Minecraft. I sympathize with you and I hope your able to gain better management of your BP disorder. PS. Sorry for the excessive parentheses usage. Not good with communication. 😕
I watched a Taiwanese guy talks about the decline of Blizzard. He said : "Look back to the decline of Blizzard its like when you were a kid, you adore this cool teen guy who is funny with great ideas that always impress you, somehow turned into an old tedious pathetic salesman that doesn't have the goal of life anymore and all he wants is to sell his shit to you so he could grap the money from your pocket."
The unfortunate truth is hard to grasp. But the writing was set in stone the day Blizzard agreed to merge with Craptivision, a company that has been increasingly turning up their levels of corporate greed to an unfathomable level. We saw what happened to Guitar Hero. We have seen what Call of Duty has turned into, and we have seen how they have twisted a great game developer into being disconnected from their fan-base. And let's not get into the constant need to appease the Chinese overlords.
The Blizzard many of us knew and loved ~20 years ago is dead and gone. The writing was on the wall once World of Warcraft became so popular and they went from being a "well known, but niche developer" to a massively profitable enterprise. Once that happened, and once the merged with Activision, their creative integrity was lost. They still pumped out decent gameplay after losing said creative integrity, but only cared for profit at that point. Which is how much of the "AAA" industry behaves nowadays, sadly. I'm not against companies making a profit, but when it comes to things like video games - making a good game should always come first. If that means you might not be as profitable, maybe scale back your production costs in the first place - it isn't like modern AAA games tend to have more features or less bugs than games from 10+ years ago, yet they cost more to make.
9:00 my favorite part of the whole RealID fiasco was when one of the Blizzard employees posted their real first and last name to show that it's not as dangerous as people think. Within minutes, players posted details about him, such as his tax records, SSN, the names of his kids and where they went to school, what kind of car he drives and the license plate number, etc. Within an hour, the thread was taken down and Blizzard reversed their decision.
Blizzard: Merge with Activision and everything goes down hill Bungie: Joins Activision and everything goes downhill Nintendo: Stays with itself and starts making games that make them resurge from the hell of Wii U The problem is very clear in here, companies with a name starting with B are destined to fall.

I absolutely want to see the meeting where Blizzard’s executives are sat down and forced to watch The Act Man tell them how they’ve screwed up the company. 😂
The last thing you wanna tell your consumers is "you are wrong and you need to appreciate what we are offering". A close friend of mine was a huge WoW nut and even he had many complaints about the direction of the game.
At least Star wars have Jedi Fallen Order and The Mandalorian. I also like Rogue One. Blizzard on the other hand had me worried about their Diablo franchise
The good thing is: unless Disney goes full JK Rowling and start giving out nonsensical lore for the OT, the movies are still the same, you can still enjoy Lucas' original vision. Blizzard literally made their 18yo game worse lmao It's like if Disney burnt all copies of the OT and the surviving ones are all in 360p
To be fair, if you watched the vod they were being roasted left, right, and center for something they were really proud of and by the people they thought would love the idea most. Developers generally discover that, if they design shit wrong, people will optimize the fun out of a game or not find the intended gameplay loop. Some designers will externalize these failures to their players being dumb and not knowing what's good or not, and then internalize that attitude that players 'don't get it.' On the one hand, he's sort of right that players typically don't know what would make for a better game from the outside, without knowledge of hidden systems or designs. But his response is wrong. Players do want something you're not giving them. While their solution might be incorrect, the core feeling that's driving the players to ask for something or complain about something else is a problem the developer needs to address to keep the game interesting. If devs look at player suggestions and feedback and go 'nah, these guys don't know what they're talking about, they didn't make the game' and ignore the playerbase, that is a quick way to fail. Devs need to look at the feedback and figure out ok WHY are the players asking for this feature, what problem are the players having that they're trying to solve? I've never been a fan of Blizzard games myself solely due to personal taste in games, but to me it seems like Blizzard has been taking the former approach of writing off the playerbase as dumb. I could be wrong, but it really does seem from the evidence presented that Blizzard is just so far up their own asses and talented designers willing to reevaluate their own work have either jumped ship or been laid off.
Good as this was I wish you had brought up just how absolutely, fucking dirty they did HotS. Failed to listen to general feedback, promoted it terribly, tried to cater to its e-sports scene over the general player base, tried to force its e-sports scene into being the next overwatch league - and when it didn't get there they left the entire pro league without any information about next season just to say its cancelled and they completely fucking gutted development and support for the game.
It's so sad and frustrating because HotS had the potential to be the best and most successful MOBA on the market. The core gameplay was fun, the heroes and maps were super unique, it had a lot of strategic depth while still being really easy to pick up and learn. They just marketed the game poorly from the start, made some insanely stupid decisions, refused to listen to the playerbase, and didn't give it the resources it deserved.
Overwatch 2 shows you where blizzards heads are. Literally looks like an expansion pack. At least cs 1.6 to CZ to source to GO was a change graphically and gameplay wise.
The changes are coming, we will have new heroes, game modes, maps, graphics, skins, new events, revamped events, campaign mode and hero missions. I understand because i felt that there was nothing on ow 2 too but ow 2 is not just everything that was shown in the demo.
@@mininududedu Those are things that were added to Guild wars in expansions. I just don't see it justifying a whole new game where they'll prob have loot boxes again for skins. Everyone will leave the first one making the original OW redundant. It's a cash grab.
I know right, just look at the section titles, in order: Into, The Good Times, Activision-Blizzard Merger. Starting at about 7:10 (the end of the merger section) the rest of the 38 minute video is how the company screwed up, I'm no business major, but I think I found the problem.
@@yurig014 I think we know at this point that shareholders know nothing about how to make, produce or sell good games, or about games in general. Listening to people who invest in a company just cuz it's big, but know nothing about the product is probably more convinient to companies nowadays, than listening to the fans who know what they are talking about. (A large portion of them, at least.) However, shareholders dont buy games and dont pay making games, and they are the first to pull out at the first sign of trouble. Fans are often loyal beyond reason - as are people now who still hope or play Blizz games. But if they are lost, then really nobody buys the games, and after that shareholders are out, too. Unless Antivision gets in on the business to sell tobacco or razors or smt.
this is such a complex topic, it's like making a deal with the devil. put yourself in the shoes of a game director from a small company: he is genuinely passionate about making good games and cares for his developers, whom he has a responsibility towards in terms of pay and safe employment. maybe bad times come, maybe it looks like a great opportunity, but he decides to start accepting money from people who don't share his values and especially don't care about the people making the games: they're investors and their job is to fund your project and get a return from it, nothing more nothing less. once you have accepted enough money and sold enough of your company to these strangers, it's all out of your hands, you don't have power anymore and it's them who get to decide on how you make your videogames, because the money you are using to make them is theirs. at that point you're no longer a video game company with an artistic goal in mind and certain values to uphold, you have simply become a money-making machine for third parties and if you manage to cram creativity and good design in good on you, but it isn't at all necessary. you're not making games anymore, you're making profits! that's why 9/10 games that come out are so safe and samy and have more time spent developing online shops than the actual game itself, their primary goal is not to be entertaining games, they might very well be but that's not the focus, the focus is making sure that the investors get their returns and nothing more! that passionate, genuine game director from the beginning is now held prisoner, and he has to go along otherwise bad things may happen to his employment and his staff. and the complex part is: would any of us behave any differently if WE were the investors? if I gave a bakery 30.000 dollars would I want them to try 65 different kinds of sweet bread or just want them to stick to the working formula so that I can get my money back? it's such a complex system with so many variables, and I feel we're getting fucked every minute that passes a bit more, sorry for the long post this discussion is too interesting to not give my 2 cents

It's really frickin easy : every company that starts making money get eventually controlled by the marketing division : everything becomes driven by marketing analysis and how to quickly make the most money possible to please the shareholders, which becomes more important than pleasing the client base. Marketing people usually don't know nor care about what makes a fun and good game, and they usually ignore the screams of the fans, hence the downward spiral. In one word : GREED. Greed fucks everything up, every single time, always. The frustrating part is that greedy people never acknowledge their part in the demise of their businesses. Lastly, consumers are getting pretty good at smelling greed and NOT buying shit that is produced by companies that are driven only by it. We learned.
@Rock Golem I get your analogy, but that does not work either. If greedy people can't aknowledge the connection between their business philosophy and the downward spiral it leads to, they won't see the connection between their shitty ways and random punishements. You will not succeed in making them feel guilty. Their brain does not work that way, especialy if they already got injected with a dose of success (money, accolade, status, etc.) What you see as punishment to get justice will only be seen by them as jerk moves. It will just backfire, especially if they have money and you don't. If "slashing the tires" means stop buying or consuming a company's products, then the company dies but the greedy people will just move to other ventures and repeat the process.
That's just not true. Even in this very video there is an example of that not being a case and with a MUCH older and more profitable company. Nintendo. And seriously, wanting to make money isn't a bad thing. If it weren't for that motive none of us would have ever played a single video game because they would never have existed.

I remember I was 8 years old when my uncle came from overseas and gave me a computer magazine that had a Warcraft 2 demo disk in it. At the time I was into Nintendo and Street Fighter 2 arcade. Even though I didn't have access to a computer that demo disk was precious and I couldn't wait to try it some day. A couple of years later we move to the US and I finally get to play the Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness disk in a computer that wasn't my own and my mind was blown. I'd never seen a game like this, the sounds effects, the soundtrack was so atmospheric. I fell in love with Warcraft. A couple of years later we get a family computer and behind the back of my Christian religious father I get my hands on Diablo 2. My mind was blown allover again, it was so atmospheric, the gloomy world, the music once again was like an aura that sucked you into the world of pain and suffering. Even though I loved my consoles playing Diablo 2 and Age of Empires 2 with my close friend who lived a floor above me at the time was a totally different experience. A more mature and cool experience I thought at the time. Those games introduced me to online play. Of course we got the Lord of Destruction expansion and of course we got Warcraft 3 and as if the path had been set up for me I was immersed into World of Warcraft when it came out. It was my second mmorpg, Star Wars Galaxies was my first. WoW was so different, so cool so popular. I spent hundreds, thousands of hours in the game by dedicating my self to a high end raiding guild at the time. Blizzard was the best gaming company to me. Their games were always 100 scores as far as I was concerned. It's not until The Berning Crusade that I was burned out by WoW that I stopped playing the game and along with it further Blizzard games. The Blizzard of today is a totally different company than the Blizzard of the 90s and early 2000's. As far as gaming companies go Blizzard lived long enough to become the villains. As much as I hate to say it they are a shadow of their former self. Yes they still release good games but they don't compare to their former self. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia I don't know but Blizzard is still one of my most favorite companies ever. To deny the enjoyment they've provided me with would be to be dishonest.
@@nathanroberts757 yeah, they basically destroyed Heroes of the Storm's relevance when they cancelled tournaments out of the blue. Essentially forcing countless people that played the game professionally to abandon it. Then, as if that wasn't enough, they reduced the dev team to a skeleton crew. The game is still good and there are still people playing, but its relevenace in the mainstream has been crippled.
Not going to talk about Heroes of the Storm? Okay I'll cover it quickly: In South Korea, Starcraft: Brood War was the national sport. Blizzard, probably just riding the Moba moneytrain of the early 2010's, made Hots. While it never shined like League or Dota, it had it's own esports community. In December of 2018, Blizzard announced they're going to cut the cord of the game's official esports league. Not only did this contradict their earlier promise of there being a 2019 season, but they never told the professional players, managers, and crew members before the blog post. Ultimately, Heroes of the Storm was a financial failure that probably couldn't sustain itself, but they fired hundreds, if not thousands of people right before Christmas, and they couldn't even give a heads up.
You’re forgetting the most important thing. Hots esports was quite successful and the year they cancelled it was the best yet. It was growing and bringing new players into the game. Hots in itself for me is the best moba ever created. It is unique, fast paced, tactical and has amazing graphics. Maybe if they gave 2 shits about its community Blizzard could have saved them selves but they keep digging their own grave
It was this: The HoTS cancellation and the blitzchung incident that made me leave blizzard perminantly after 19 years. It's as if I'm seeing parallel corporate culture to that of "The Board" on The Outer Worlds
From what I understand of the Blitzchung incident, Blizzard already had rules in place that participants were not permitted to make political statements during playtime. That doesn't excuse the ludicrous penalties that Blitzchung suffered (and they were NUTS), but the guy did break the rules.
The point isn't whether or not they broke the arbitrary rules, but whether or not Blizzard is in the right for punishing them for a political statement while making their own. Blizzard after all can set whatever rules they want. If they set a rule blocking political statements from being made, they need a good reason for it. A good reason is not "we're afraid that we're going to lose out on profits" in a moral sense, ever.
The only reason that is the worst blunder is because it followed "You think you do, but you don't." Blizzard followed up telling their customers "we'll tell you what you want to pay for" with "what the fuck is wrong with you, buy our shit and be grateful we're selling it to you". But, my ire is not mostly towards those dipshits. I want to know who hired these supreme losers and gave them the reigns to the biggest franchises in videogame history.
I was butt-effed by Blizzard myself, Ryno. I don't just feel like it. I was. You perfectly, exquisitely worded the anguish I felt with diablo 3, sigh..
Man, I was there for the RealID fiasco. My favorite moment was when one of the community managers martyred himself in that massive thread by posting his real name to show that it was totally no big deal. His address was posted to the thread within minutes.

Yes. Cata removed the Vanilla game entirely (my favorite parts of the game and the world), and many people chose to quit. I stayed. Then MoP pre-patch launched, and the game would crash out 100% of login attempts. The reason? The death knell for blizzard, Diablo Immoral. It is Ironic the franchise that would show how evil the company has become is a game about hell.
The writing was definitely on the wall from the moment they merged with Activision and World of Warcraft had become beyond a certain level of popularity. Diablo 3 also had quite a lot of controversy back when it came out, but in hindsight it still was a solid game (as was Starcraft 2, even if they split the campaign across three versions of the game). Heck, Overwatch was mechanically fun to play, though obviously the greed had seeped in with their loot boxes and the like.
All of their games post 2010 or so basically were exercises in "they're extremely greedy, but maybe the game is fun enough to be worth it."
At a certain point, it no longer should be worth it.
I dont understand why they didnt pitch Diablo immortal as a "have this while we work on 4" it would have spared them a lot of embarrassment
Because they weren't planning on releasing 4
Over years I grew to despise J.Allen Brack. His condescending and dismissive attitude towards the playerbase always made my blood to boil. If you are not listening to us, if you don't make games for us, if we are not your audience, then who the hell is your audience, Mr. Brack?!

Basically, the CCP.
Apathy is a side-effect of a dying civilization.
"Do you guys not have phones?" Was the biggest insult ive ever been handed by a gaming company. Even after all this time it makes me rage to hear it.

I was paying to play, banning me for playing, without considering why someone like me might occasionally stay logged in for really long stints,
was pretty fucking cruel of Blizzard in my humble opinion.

An unfortunately accurate analogy.

Rip blizzard. You will still have a place in our hearts for what you once were
The Blizzard many of us knew and loved ~20 years ago is dead and gone.

Makes you realize a lot about many wrong things in the world and how they come to be.
Well he was right. :D

@@Arbbal shareholder interest and artful video game making is often times not something that works together very well. This horse has died long ago

Their brain does not work that way, especialy if they already got injected with a dose of success (money, accolade, status, etc.)
What you see as punishment to get justice will only be seen by them as jerk moves. It will just backfire, especially if they have money and you don't.
If "slashing the tires" means stop buying or consuming a company's products, then the company dies but the greedy people will just move to other ventures and repeat the process.
@Christopher Marlowe You got a seriously good point here.
@GunnZo Shit. I guess it was wishful thinking then...
That's just not true. Even in this very video there is an example of that not being a case and with a MUCH older and more profitable company. Nintendo.
Man, Heroes was so good too. They did my boy dirty.
Not going to talk about Heroes of the Storm? Okay I'll cover it quickly:
In South Korea, Starcraft: Brood War was the national sport.
Man I do love HoTS, could play it forever than compared to other mobas
@@ernigolli9981 They don't care because OWL was the big thing, and now OWL is failing.
Well, to be fair, Blizzard never talks about HotS either. x_x

We all know the drill , dont pre-purchase until we see the real stuff .
next game-service (be addicted to us, our f@cked servers and lags)? if so, no thanks...
Sad we have to be careful not to buy a broken game

Dont purchase at all is my advice. Go back and play actual Diablo 2 and the Blizzard games that were made by the people we actually respected. Forget Blizzard today. The old games are still perfectly playable.
Didn't even mention Heroes of the Storm getting its pro scene pulled out from under it, without telling any of the pros
was just about to post a similar comment, I'm glad others remembered them as well.
I know HotS never got the recognition in the fanbase as it should, but it was getting better and shown great results and out of nowhere they pulled the plug....
The fact that it wasn't even mentioned just shows not a lot of people pay attention to Heroes of the Storm to begin with. I love the game and personally enjoy it better than other MOBAs. It was heartbreaking to hear Blizzard basically say they're giving up on it.
@@Bleza_2jz the saddest part is that a lot of people still play the game and new heroes and events are still being added to this day
But its relevance in the mainstream has been crippled....
thank you ♥ never forget :'c
When you get flexed on by Electronic Arts of all people, when it comes to remastering an RTS, you've definitely begun to fail.
It's terrifying that EA seems to actually be _trying_ these days.
Need for speed heat for example is a need for speed title, its rough but its an actual need for speed title. Meanwhile i cant see any light from blizzard recently....
@@Senthain Just glad EA managed to not screw up the C&C Remaster - THAT by the way is how you remaster an RTS. I know it was mostly Petroglyph's work, but it's good of EA not to screw it up with their usual BS.
@@Andy_val Basically by sub-contracting the work of Petroglyph and others (the former Westwood Team guys) for them to do it and they kept out of making any decisions and just let them get on it. Best decision EA made is not to fuck about with their decisions, not sticking their nose into it and just let the original teams in new dev studios work on it. Hopefully EA may actually learn from this if it's profitable.
@@pgmasterson1163 And they got Respawn to make Jedi FO, far better than their other recent attempts at a Star Wars game.

My nostalgia classes are fogging up
Am I crying?
Blizzard: *issues statements supporting LGBT rights and BLM*
Also Blizzard: *shuts down streamer for supporting Hong Kong protesting agaisnt human right abuses*
You can protest all you want ,but when it comes to pleasing BIG DADDY CHINA that's a big nono. Gotta get that sweet china money.
I think China should learn from US what truly mean double stand. Like put military in the the city and call China stop sending policy to the city.
Everybody knows as long as you support LGBT you are legit no matter what. Just put a rainbow profile pic on your social media then say whatever stupid shit you can make up (like saying incest is legit) and don't worry there will be a lot of people backing you up.
Everybody knows as long as you support china you have money, even if people outside of china boycott your game.
It's a sad and disgusting truth but it's the world we are living in.
Practically Blizzard did the right thing for themselves by licking both parties' boots at the same time. Although it's not guaranteed to last in the long run but hey, who can predict the future?
I think China just hate people generally
They're probably only supporting LGBT and BLM just for their own attention
"I'm not saying Blizzard as a whole is a reprehensible anti-gamer movement whose sole purpose is to destroy all your favorite franchises."
I'll say it.
Becouse its infiltrated by activision who only and only relies on making profit making money so they put untalented and non inspirational business man(ion) on the game developments. Share holders dont care just bring the money
I second this.
Serko Kaya I wouldn’t put the entire blame on Activision. Blizzard itself is no longer what it used to be.
Go ahead then, say it
Remember a decade ago we were all laughing at the insane leftwing antics of college kids on campus? well those murder apologists graduated and took jobs in companies where they were only interested in pushing their ideology rather than promoting goods and services. well no one is laughing now
Me when Warcraft 3 Reforged was announced: "Finally, fate seems to shift in our favor."
Me after it released: "I was a fool to merely hope for a brighter future."
And for the first time in 15 years, I don't even want a Warcraft 4 anymore, because it would be goblinshit anyway.
Yea, that's exactly it. Been waiting years for a Wc4 announcement and after the hype for Wc3Reforged came crashing down I gave up on the company. Haven't touched battle.net again, wont touch it.
i never pre-order games anymore, i wait until release
@@RouskSour same here, I definetly won't "Update" my Warcraft 3 to the classic version of Reforged which is absolutely trash. That is the worst part about it anyway, that they also ruined normal Warcraft 3 with this shit. How do you fuck that up? Like, seriously. How can you ruin a game after 16 years.
@@Mr_Tea_Rexx finally! the community is learning
Me when i saw your comment: Cringe AF
11:32 No no, it was DEFINITELY Cataclysm that was the turning and dropping point. MoP continued the trend but Cata was absolutely the turning point.
Yes. Cata removed the Vanilla game entirely (my favorite parts of the game and the world), and many people chose to quit.
I stayed. Then MoP pre-patch launched, and the game would crash out 100% of login attempts. The reason? Blizzard decided to amp up the graphics to such a degree that MANY MORE players were FORCED out of WoW than those who willingly left Cata. Some, if not most, just chose to come back for some reason.
Blizzard said MANY times in the past that WoW would ALWAYS be playable to even those on low end systems with no expensive graphics card. Then MoP made it so even people with BRAND NEW, TOPPEST OF THE TOP OF THE LINE CARDS could not run WoW because of some obscure not yet supported by even the newest cards Shader bullshit.
I have never paid for one of their terrible games since. I've had zero desire to play any of their trash. Any older games of theirs that is still good, I just torrent it. I OWN multiple copies of Diablo battlechest, Starcraft 1, WoW, and its expansions; so fuck them and their "cease and desist" cries.
"Their audience is mostly PC gamers"
But China isn't :>
@keith sze blazzar
You are totally wrong. If you truely know the gaming history in China, most diehard gamers here in China are PC gamers. The reason is complicated, like the mobile gaming industry is growing so fast in recent years, and many companies have make easy money from it
Dude, china is going to have a lot of dedicated pc gamers based on them having such a massive population alone. Especially when so many of their people go into technology. Just look how quickly non region locked servers pick up players based in china. There was zero reason Blizzard needed to forgo a proper diablo sequel for a mobile game. Other than pure greed.
@@什么-t3w It's mainly because the console makers were banned, but PC hardware wasn't until VERY recently. You have DECADES of the PC ecosystem to flourish, even before the advent of smartphones.
Wise Old Man: It's not just a single mistake that you can look at and say, "this is what started it all!"
Everyone Else: Activision did it.
They made the mistake of merging with a publisher. I'm really not all that surprised. Just sad.
15:49 remember Skyrim?
You grind a little, explore for urself, do some quests, maybe ask google, you want to get that sick look daedric armor, begin to forge countless daggers and get it for some work in the game.
Now you buy them and... Other ppl brag about it in ur face.
