    Hello! Thank you to all that is viewing this video! I've been getting a lot of questions lately related to this video. I am not a formal pomade maker, I simply found a way to make a very easy one using three ingredients. I did however team up with a real pomade homebrewer to make a Joker themed pomade called clown prince. If you check some of my recent videos you can see more info about it or find it at my etsy shop while it's still in stock Joker themed hair pomade! www.etsy.com/shop/ModernManTV

    I made something very similar. I used beeswax, BTMS-50, hemp seed oil, cocoa butter, castor jelly and bentonite clay. The clay helps keep it matte. Just melt all ingredients and in the end add the clay and keep stirring. Stir until thicken and scoop into your container. Do not use a aluminum or metal container because it will deactivate the clay. Also it's best to use a thermometer and never let it go above 180 degrees. At around 90 degrees add the essential oils or fragrance oils.

    Actually use Lanolin instead of the jelly. Helps alot with moisturizing everything and has a good styling property as well

      @@disc_golfing_with_d It does hold pretty decent, it's a natural alternative to petroleum jelly. I sometimes use only lanolin and clay, and it rocks (my hair is thin and greasy).

    Hey brother! I watch a bunch of different pomade reviewers, and I happened to find your channel today. I LOVE that you released this video because all the other DIY pomade videos aren't good in my opinion. I was extremely surprised that you are barely at 2k subs because I can tell from the 5 videos I've watched that you have high-quality content. The production and editing of your videos reminds me of Gary G from WesternGent because the two of you mix in awesome music with an engaging personality. I wish you the best, and I can safely say that you're already ahead of the many other reviewers I watch in terms of quality.
    Lastly, that would be AWESOME if you could do a tutorial on how to do unorthodox pomades because I can't find anything on how to make them online.

    • @TheKain202
      @TheKain202 5 лет назад +51

      that's the point, you're not supposed to wash out a wax based pomade, quite the opposite - you're supposed to build it up in you hair, and after you build it up, merely replace the bit that got washed off whenever you style your hair in the morning.
      Classic pomade is a requires you to commit to a certain style for a while. Stick to water soluble stuff if that bothers you.

      This is a quote from Steve Lockhart of Lockhart's Pomades, someone I consider to be an expert in the matter. "The only petrolatum that home brewers have access to is white USP petrolatum which is pharmaceutical grade and even food grade believe it or not. It's one of the best ingredients that you can use if you want to lock moisture into your hair". This was taken from a post I made in the Everything Pomade community regarding the opinions shared here on the use of petro.

    Are there downsides to melting ingredients in the microwave? (intervals of 15 sec followed by stirring everything together)

    Hello I come from Vietnam. I really like pomade and have tried cooking it (for personal use, not for business purposes). But the pomade I cook has a lumpy appearance, like beeswax. Please advise me to improve my knowledge. Thank you very much!!!

    New subscriber from Bangladesh. Saw your poll on the Blumaan Community page, was really waiting to see this video. Will try this soon. I wanna win cause I really give an effort on my hair but high quality products such as these are not available in my country and shipping it costs too much.
    Keep up the good work. Cheers!
