This video took 26 hours of driving, 10 hours of shooting and about 5 hours of editing to complete. I really hope you guys like it and I'm able to continue to bring out videos like this. Make sure you help me out and subscribe and share with your friends.
Ozark Greaser haha I've watched it a ton myself. I'm pretty suprised at how well this came out. I think it has more to do with how amazing Steve and Nichole are haha. I hope to do more not only with them but with some other Brewers I've spoken to. Gotta get the channel way up before I can afford to do that so keep sharing! 🙏👍
QUAS I know dude. I didn’t think it would be so hard for folks to understand the difference between stirring and chopping, scooping and pouring ingredients 🤷♂️
Modern Man TV All I know is I walked into Uncle Chauncey's room while and saw he was watching this vid and he quickly switched to another internet tab....
Gave a thumbs up before the video even started. Absolutely love Lockhart's! Really hope to visit the HQ if I'm ever in the states. Great video Mike! Hope to see you do more 'Behind The Brew' series with other brewers.
Today I just got light hold pomade from Lockharts and I have to say it’s daaamn great 👍 product or one of the best hair products I ever bought. So thank u Lockharts❤️❤️
With Lockhart's products I have found peace of mind. I am very satisfied with the quality and the result I get with their pomade. They are Number One! After trying so much with other pomade brands, here I get what I have been looking for for a long time. I became addicted! The perfume, as far as I'm concerned, of Lockhart's Medium Hold is addictive! And I'm very happy! Now I have ordered the Goon Grease and I don't think I will be disappointed. Thanks to all the guys from Lockhart's. For me, Lockhart's whole life!
One of my absolutely favorite videos not only of yours, but on pomade in general. The shots were breath-taking. The cuts and transitions were seamless. The music was engaging, but didn't detract from the action. Ya managed to encapsulate why homebrewers really do make top notch quality products. I knew Lockhart's is one of the more well known and successful homebrewers around, which is why I was quite surprised to see how much still is done by hand. Your work on this video is very much appreciated Mike! In a world where videos can be formulaic and bland, videos like these are fresh, entertaining, and eye opening. I was curious if ya did the drive solo or if your wife and Finn came along.
xHibachi24x I always look forward to your comments bro. I appreciate you sticking with the channel and always being a good supporter of my content. Meeting the Lockharts was nothing short of inspiring and eye-opening. They are some of the most kind and genuine people and I'm really glad that we were able to become friends with this project. My wife made the drive with me as I'm still having hip issues and she's always there to support me when I say things like " hey do you wanna drive 26 hours in one weekend to make a video on pomade??" Haha but that much driving would have been a little much on Finley so he stayed with grandma for the weekend.
Modern Man TV Awesome. With that much footage, I'm curious if some behind the scenes content is coming up haha. I hope your hip gets better with time brother! Ya could have easily not gone through because of the pain, but ya beasted thru it. From the bottom of my heart, thanks to you, your wife, Finley, and grandma for sacrificing in one way or the other because it really shows in your content. The reason I keep coming back to your channel is because of the constant improvement in every sense of the word and your integrity. I've never once doubted your honesty when in comes to products. Cheers Mike!
Hey bro, this one is super awesome but i couldn't find more similar manufacturing videos. Please make some more of such videos man. This is super awesome.
Awesome video! I placed my order for my 1st Lockhart Pomade, Goon Grease oil based & lemon scented. I've never tryed an artisan pomade & looking forward to see how my hair handles it
Thanks Eric! There’s a few more episodes of BTB in the playlist there and I actually have 2 new episodes scheduled for November so make sure your a subscriber, and have those notifications turned on and you will get notified when I uploaded new BTB videos!
GayFlyingSquriell thanks man! Share with your friends and help me build some momentum behind it so I can get some other Brewers interested in doing a video.
Brendan thanks brotha! I thought so too. I hadn’t seen anything like it and I have such an interest in this process it was a no brained for me to do it. I hope to do a lot more in the future
I've tried a lot of oil-based and water-based pomades but I always go back to Goon Grease. Nothing scoops, apply and style like Goon Grease, and of course that scent, damn.
Terrific video! I'm a goon grease user and fellow Michigander, so this was pretty damn cool. Im curious as to how they designed their logo and how they get the stickers made for their tins.
This video was very informative, thank you! I make facial hair care products, and I make everything i bottle/tin at a time. All my measurements of for a single bottle/tin, and I knock out one after the other. My question is this, how do you go about figuring out the proper measurements to make product in bulk like this? I am positive that I am over thinking this process, I just can't wrap my head around it.
Vaseline aka petroleum jelly is hypoallergenic, i.e. it doesn't cause allergies. Nor does it require any preservatives. And the vaseline works as a shield from the outside so that the moisture that the body generates stays locked inside the hair.
I'm making my pomade almost with the same ingredients. Avocado oil I use alot plus bees wax.. I'm hoping to send some of my pomade to you when I get everything started. Great video you guys!
A lot of effort, congratulations and a lot of success from the Dominican Republic, although I don't speak English, but you deserve a good like. 😅 Si podrías por favor una explicación de los ingredientes en español me ayudarás
Great series from you mike, really appreciate what you done for this video , can i give suggestion to you to visit flagship company and do this behind the brew ?
Kevin Karnoto I've actually talked with wade about this and he's going to be trying to get a new space for his operation sometime in the future from now but he said once that happens he would be down for a BTB
I have questions: What do you use to give color to the pomade? And after adding color to the pomade, will it affect your hair color or it just helps giving the pomade a nice look with color?
Btw, i bought alot of products. And I found (ironically enough) that a combo of blumaan fifth as a prestyler and HDF claymation give amazing results. Great hold, volume, structure, separation and shine. One of the few combos I can just comb after a nights sleep. I would suggest to try it if you feel like it ;)!

"Steve wears gloves while working with ingredients" perfect timing bruh lol

The Workman's Pomp ayyyeee uncle Chauncey! You still keeping things slick with your hair groom? 😂
Modern Man TV All I know is I walked into Uncle Chauncey's room while and saw he was watching this vid and he quickly switched to another internet tab....
The Workman's Pomp I hope he wasn't using your computer again I know the last laptop ended up looking like he cooked a grilled cheese inside it.
That guy has the 'I will always be better than you' mustache. Love it

Modern Man TV You’re welcome ! Awesome will do
The Heisenberg of pomade!
Due to this video I even more like to use Goon Grease!
what oil fragrance company is that? and to add color what did they use? micca powder?
Vaseline aka petroleum jelly is hypoallergenic, i.e. it doesn't cause allergies. Nor does it require any preservatives. And the vaseline works as a shield from the outside so that the moisture that the body generates stays locked inside the hair.
How do I pick The scent of my goon grease on the website it only gives me the option of the citrus scent
youre awesome!!!! thank you so much for you re work!! its helping me so much!!

Wow nice, i thought those were made in some factory
Hey you said aventus scent right? Is that scent was based on the perfume called creed aventus?
Can I use food coloring to add color in my pomade? 🤔🤔🤔
What is the oil colered with?
What is the oil that are you use
can you do one on hair clays or putty's
What is used for coloring?
Great video of how it’s made. I’ve made my first pomade not to great but good. I want to ask if possible what type of dye was used to turn it green.
Yeah that’s what I’m scouring the comments for haha! Let me know if you find anything 🤘🏻
Hi, i'm vietnamese, i just know a little english, so i don't know full video
Can u help me, list raw materials, pls
Thank you so much!
I have questions:
What do you use to give color to the pomade?
And after adding color to the pomade, will it affect your hair color or it just helps giving the pomade a nice look with color?
quân huỳnh Use a food coloring, it doesnt affect your hair.
How often do they recycle scents of the week? For those that like one that isn't normal production.
Joseph B. I believe it changes every Friday, if you follow them on Instagram or Facebook they post it there every week.
why u use butter in making it, like leather balsam??
Btw, i bought alot of products. And I found (ironically enough) that a combo of blumaan fifth as a prestyler and HDF claymation give amazing results. what brand of color powder do they use bc i make my own but want it colored
Omar tochiXochil hey man! Check you the disclaimer in the description there. The brand isn’t offering tips or info on things like that .
