satysfactory news - "Avoid backups" Me - mathing my whole factory to have backups on each stage with mutiple storage points between each stage. all designed to fully backed up.
In a majority of cases, that is the ideal way to play. But for some situations and some setups, a backup somewhere can cause the whole system to shut down. You just have to make sure you have failsafes if you're in that situation.
Basically if your inventory is full and you would create an overflow box, the box will be created at the location of the last item you selected (this specifically works in Mass Dismantle mode). It's a pretty niche tip but it's good to know sometimes.
@@SatisfactoryNews I understand that. But I don't understand how things from previous overflow boxes are teleported to a new location, i.e. to new overflow boxes created during dismantling?

Found the answer. If you ALT left click it will ping where your cursor is pointing. If you ALT right click it will open a dialog wheel to select a stamp to place where your cursor is pointing. And finally holding just ALT will show any stamps that are nearby.
I know the engine has a maximum amount of objects in the world, it's like 2 million or something, but i wondered do items in storage count towards this number?
They do not. The objects in storage are simply stored as a number rather than a game object. Essentially, they don't exist. And if I recall, Items on belts are also optimized so that they don't count toward that object limit. It's mostly buildings that count toward it. But some building are made up of multiple objects, so may count as more than one.
@@SatisfactoryNews I used the map marker so far. Wasn’t aware of I could stamp outside the map interface. Thus will marking nodes and crash sites far easier. And especially that beacon effect 😅

Satisfactory is not a difficult game to progress. It's basically just a time sink. As such there aren't really any tips that are "only for advanced players."
This game has come such a long way since it was first released. Remember making conveyor towers to get items up or down? Ah, those were the days.
Ah the good old days. If only we knew what was coming!

You can just hold down E now, no need to spam it
@@leventedanka6764 No need to even hold down E. Just hold it down long enough to tap Q, close your inventory screen then you can just WASD.
"Watch this if you just started Satisfactory" "Hmmmmmm I only have 300 hours in the game I should probably watch this."
For tip 1 alone you deserve a medal! Thanks, no more boxes in hard to reach places.

It helps make sense of everything when you have a lot of trains!

I think a usefull thing to notice is that you can align foundations to the grid of the map by holding ctrl while placing them
god i wish i had known this. thank you lol
I never knew you could get a light beam by selecting a map marker, huh.
It was only added a couple updates ago so I don't blame you for not knowing!
tip: when in doubt, handcraft.
Thanks Mason, Helps A Lot!
Hello Jace
lmao i have 12 hours on this game and i didnt know it had a map
And it use to be sooo much harder to obtain
i havent played since update 7
THERE IS AN OVERFLOW FEATURE NOW?????? holy COW lol
According to the wiki, overflow was added to smart splitters in Update 3 😅
@@SatisfactoryNews WHAAAAT lol I'm dumb hahaha
That first tip is genius! Never thought of doing that before! Great video!
It saves so many headaches.
You can find blueprints with a whole modular storage facilities utilizing smart splitters exactly like that.
@@Miraihi my comment was more about transporting items by dismantling them from far away
nice tips! 1650hrs in and I had no idea about the Marker Beacon of Light thing :))
Please explain the trick from 0:26 to 1:00. The second part is clear, about the drowned transport, but I can't understand the first one.

You can plan factories for specific items too of course, I've just found it much more effective for logistics to build around resources first.
There is no waste. Ficsit is efficient!
How did you bring up the stamp on the non-map mode, the real world.
I'm wondering the same. Anyone know the answer?

even with 417 hours, i'd only heard of a few of these beforehand lol, thanks

I agree!!!
Other basic tip for starters is not use fiscit foundation in the begining of the game, unlock the concrete foundation and you are good to go.

Nuclear waste doesn't go into the sink, you need to make it into plutonium fuel rods, which can be sunk.
