Coffee Stain’s April fools video was the first thing I watched this morning, I won’t be duped again, certainly not by a player who doesn’t even have a verified fixit employee badge
I really hope they eventually put in alternates for steel beams and pipes; the bottleneck is really a pain in the butt for using certain other alternates.
2:55 you forgot the mention the charcoal and biocoal alternate recipes. with these you can get more power out of your plant stuff but still have all the coal form the miners for steel production. and then switch to liquid biofuel as soon as you can
That caterium trick for the nuclear plant is *brilliant*!!! I'm gonna go load up some storage containers and add a few splitters immediately! Thanks Kibitz!
Kibz, now I only have 1400 hours in Satisfactory, but I would like to add that when you have 50 biofuel burners it can help to have blade runners so you can constantly run between the burners and keep them full.😉
The "build a bunch of burners" is actually a good tip for before coal power. More burners = load more distributed = biomass burns slower = more time between refills.
I usually get up to around 8 or so Biomass burners (not counting the ones that are part of the HQ) before I swap to coal power. For me, it's the best balance between deep fuel reserves and the aggravation of checking fuel levels of multiple machines.
if you have the refined power mod its even better cause you just build automated ones and a plant to make biomass/solid biomass and theyll sort themselves out while youre exploring and building
The "useless nodes" tip at 5:40 is actually pretty damn solid. Quartz gives quite a few points - if you sink them until you actually use them, you can generate a lot of coupons early on with litlle to no effort and power usage. If you first produce the other "better" quartz stuff, it'll produce even more.
No troll, I actually like the cast screw recipe if I find it in the early game. Before you can completely eliminate screws it saves on production steps and machine count. Not useful late game since you tend to avoid screws but if you find it in your first few hard drives it is useful!
I have been searching favorite channels and game most of the day looking for this kind of content and must give props where due. One of the better April Fool's takes out there. Just enough legit advice to keep me watching for the stuff that was total joke. Most are just tossing out something patently unlikely.
Watching this on April 3. I actually hope Kibitz takes this down soon, because it's not obvious it was posted April 1 and he does it so deadpan that some noobs might actually believe it. Also, it's hillarious. Thanks, Kibitz!
I would really really like a followup video of this that's actually helpful. I feel like you're one of the more experienced players to be explaining how people should use oil etc. I have two of your turbo fuel power plants now, I'm still preparing to jump straight into plutonium without having a basic nuclear phase.
Now I've heard a lot of people hate on caterium wire, but honestly I use it a lot, it saves so much time building giant infrastructure in places where I've already got excess caterium but don't have copper/iron nearby.
I find stitched iron plates extremely useful throughout the whole game, without it you need a ton more screws as you mentioned 😂 Great video as per usual, keep it up 👍
This kind of videos are always really helpful! I keep wanting to get back to the game but always end up doing other stuff instead of setting up a world of chaos xD
nothing can be so bad that it can't be used at least as some deterrent example. and sometimes even give a new view on something and some (different) good ideas.
I found this advice to be very helpful. I ran around the whole map converting every iron mine into a screw factory and now I almost have enough screws.
Man, I remember my first playthrough when I tried to get coal power as quickly as possible. What an absolute nightmare. I wish this video was out when I started playing!
I've never made it past making steel in the game myself, I've always been more set on exploring. I was actually taking everything to heart until he brought up using the Fixcit cart instead of trucks and then I realized what day it is.
You monster Kibitz - Thanks to your video I was forced to drop all my other projects just to see it a factory cart can be made to follow a programmed track.
Been watching your videos for so long, especially satisfactory. Been trying to use your tips to the best of my ability. I was wondering if you planned on doing a server build with subs to see how fast and efficient the server could build everything?
First! Great to see your still on Satisfactory kibz! Many give up sooner or later because they got bored :'( Loving the vids so far x THE PIONEER MUST CARRY ON TO THE 500K Mark x
I am mixed, the alternative Screw Receipt is a great one, but, then I realized you left out Steel Ingots and the Pure Iron and Copper ... I quickly saw where this was going (as if the title wasn't clear enough) ... also just realized this aired on April 1st
... I actually got something useful out of that video. I didn't know you could use factory carts in truck stops. I am absolutely going to have them running high value packages around the map now.
Thank you for the amazing tips!! I'm already making hundreds of screws per seconds. And i found out the best way to store them is to just drop them on the ground! PS.: I might try the factory carts out in a heavy modular frame factory or something, bc then i dont have to do any beltwork to bring the outputs to the main storage
You forgot portable miner alt recipe, it is very important to automate them as soon as possible, so that you can bring the whole bunch with you wherever you go and have them mining those sweet resources you find along the way. Especially well if you use no mods for bigger inventory.
When the boombox came out I wanted to save coupons so I only bought the goat simulator tape and now that song haunts my nightmares because I listened to it way too much
Imo the iron screw recipe is the best, think it's something like 260 per 1 steel beam, grab a quick 60 line of ur steel beams n make a quick 15600 screws per minute
I actually find the alternative receipes quite good. There are receipes out there that will allow you to completely by-pass screws at the plate, rotor levels, which leaves your factory a lot more neat.
Does anyone know where I could find some type of resource chart for creating single items? Example I want to know how many plastic/min I need to be able to create at least 1 of each thing at any given time with no bumps. (batteries computers all that jazz)
Can't believe I've never tried these myself. Can't wait to spend the first 150 hours getting a solid base of materials I produce by hand and I realize I haven't been automating enough screws. I'm glad I never really bothered with coal. I can't believe you suggested buying biomass though! Honestly I think that's just stupid. Buy the biofuel instead! Much more cost effective. I'm an accountant, so I promise the numbers add up.
Why didn't you mention alternate recepie for coal? This is literally the most useful alternate recepie in the game! You can get 2000 coal from just a stack of wood. You can't automate it, so what? You don't need the infinite amount of coal, you just need a lot of it. Jokes aside it really is a useful recepie IN SOME CASES. I love it!
I was half asleep watching this think, ok yeah thats good. Then after a few tips I started thinking, "wait no that's not a good idea". Then I realized what day it was.
AYO dude the alternatives like caterium wire and having easy screw us actualy nice for early game for. Example easy screw for reinforced iron plates and roters and stuff
I remember I was playing co op with my friend when I first unlocked factory carts for the first time and he had just logged off so I made like 100 of them and just recorded them spinning in a circle and when he logged and he thought the game was broken lmaoo
The tap space once tip is very important for all those posts once a week in the satisfactory subreddit in which someone just uses a weight on the spacebar and is like: "Haha, early game automation, look at me, I'm so innovative and funny" ;P
As a new player myself I found this tutorial very useful and made the game so much easier
Try taking a crab fly for a walk 100% better than a boring doggo

Damm! Same 😢
Coffee Stain’s April fools video was the first thing I watched this morning, I won’t be duped again, certainly not by a player who doesn’t even have a verified fixit employee badge
Is it bad that the alternate that lets you skip the iron rods step for screws is actually one of my favorite alternates?
Same here
My favorite is the Diluted fuel alternate recipe.
One of the best alts
I really hope they eventually put in alternates for steel beams and pipes; the bottleneck is really a pain in the butt for using certain other alternates.
I think the goal is to eliminate screws altogether. I haven't really played around with alternate recipes though.
Ok, well done. I finally realized what's happening two thirds into the video. The factory cart was too much 🤗
I finally got it when he advised to spend tickets on biomass lmao
I figured it out at the beginning because of the 10k iron lol
@@EmeraldJlan At that point I was like "man, it must have been a while since he played early game cause that is some awful advice" lol
It took me way too long to figure this out, though the creeping sense of horror started with "keep making more screws forever"
I got it at the useless quartz nodes
2:55 you forgot the mention the charcoal and biocoal alternate recipes. with these you can get more power out of your plant stuff but still have all the coal form the miners for steel production. and then switch to liquid biofuel as soon as you can

took me almost half the video to realize its an april fools joke
The moment he said ignore coal as long as possible... 😂😂😂
i didnt know till the end.....
really? 😮
Same
I was hoping he had some meta tips in there that might be useful in at least one way.
Best part of the video is knowing how painful it must have been for you to merge that caterium into your nuclear set up
2000? Man now I feel so much better about my playthrough. I'm no where near as creative as kibz. Always was so amazed at his vids.
Yea so am I, but not in the way you are.
I'm amazed his graphics card still works.
Took me all the way up until the bit about automating screws to remember what day this video was made. Well played sir, well played.
it took me no time at all when reading the title :-)
(or did he change the title afterwards?)
If you follow these tips, you'll reach 2,000 hours of playtime too! Before you even finish all your milestones!

Cast screw is great for heavy modular frames.

When you added caterium to the uranium belt my heart literally skipped for a second. Genious idea, gotta use it everywhere!
Could not have done it without this video! Keep up the good work Kibz!!

Hey, I actually use that steel to screw recipe! I sometimes turn my entire factor to steel mode in so much as is possible
not even a minute into the video and I learned something new, like the spacebar thing
to be fair: the first music tape was the goat sim one xD
Gotta admit,. this was such a refreshing satisfactory video :D amazing stuff. an funny how we all have somwhat done all of these amazing tips ;)
Really took me 5 mins into the video to realize it was an april fool's video

I like the Goat Simulator music tip, that's definitely my favorite, helped with the factory a lot

“And it’s a really good maintenance exercise” 😂
I may have snorted
im 50% sure this is a april fools vid... the other 50% is just the probability of kibitz losing his mind from building... or from the goat music
cast iron screws and any recipe that speeds up reinforced iron plates are my favorites.
Important tip is also that Space Elevator is really endgame stuff. So you should ignore it for like first 300 hours before you get a hang of the game.
You forgot portable miner alt recipe, it is very important to automate them as soon as possible, so that you can bring the whole bunch with you wherever you go and have them mining those sweet resources you find along the way. Especially well if you use no mods for bigger inventory.
LOL you had me at: Build tons of biomass burners!

I didn't pay enough attention until you recommended the Goat Sim soundtrack. Then I said '2000 hours? What, last month? Wait - Ohhhhhh.' Good one!

All the formulas for screws..... I never knew. This made my game so much easier!!
i mean, the scre alts are actually good for the recipes where you need the screws
This is brutal kibz 😂😂😂
Rough day today and fairly drunk as I watched this. Was confused as fuck. Lol you really got me with this. Great video.
Kibitz you're a monster. You don't mention the world map snapping points early, none of my bases line up :(
I actually find the alternative receipes quite good. There are receipes out there that will allow you to completely by-pass screws at the plate, rotor levels, which leaves your factory a lot more neat.
Naa, they are useless in general.
Also, as Kibz said, you just need to produce more screws.
Very funny nicely done
I've never been so efficient at making screws until this video
My number one tip: Always leave things for future you to sort out! This way you never run out of things to do!
took me waaay too long before i saw the date here i was thinking who the hell is this guy lol great video my fav part is when you nuked the doggo! xD
OMG I was play this game all wrong. Thank you for this video!!!
I think the crude oil turned straight into fuel made me laugh the hardest.
I actually use ficsit cart inmy factory to delivers nuclear furl rod to reactor since it doesn't require a huge throughput it's the perfect vehicule
I loved the part where you should mix ores check belts xD
Does anyone know where I could find some type of resource chart for creating single items? Example I want to know how many plastic/min I need to be able to create at least 1 of each thing at any given time with no bumps. (batteries computers all that jazz)
this is a great question and I hope someone more dedicated than us does the maths
Rest in Peace lizard doggo you will be missed

The Caterium in the uranium line made me laugh. I remember when you did that.
Bro I literally bought the boombox with the music tape like yesterday lol
Now I am worried, is there something wrong with making screws from steel? Apart from that you want to use screws as little as possible
I've not played the game in a while... A few times I forgot this was a worst tips video :)
You forgot to mention: Do not under any circumstances use foundations.
I remember I was playing co op with my friend when I first unlocked factory carts for the first time and he had just logged off so I made like 100 of them and just recorded them spinning in a circle and when he logged and he thought the game was broken lmaoo

I'm sad half way through is when I finally realized what tips I missed.
omg. I didn't know you could automate factory carts. im going to set up a transport system that uses thousands of factory carts.
I was willing to entertain those "tips" for far too long. Well played sir, well played.
LOL this april fools video was sooooo subtle, i was confused watching this until we reached the oil part
THE SECRETS HAVE BEEN SPILLED!
