lol this is funny as I’ve felt the same way. I thought that what they are putting on the Mac should be iPad OS. I use to love iPad and wanted it to be my main computer. Now I just want my Mac to have a touch screen😂😂😂

iPadOS just needed proper files manager and right click support, and it would be much easier and faster to do any work, DISAPPOINTMENT again!!!

Honestly, I was a little disappointed. No improvements to the Files app. No Journal app for the iPad?
I was really looking forward to a journal app for iPad as well. With the Apple Pencil it only makes sense!
They just didn't mention it. It doesn't mean that they haven't improved the files app. I also don't think they mentioned reorganizing the Settings app, but they did that. And features will be coming later this year.
No new iPad multitasking either 😢
Most disappointing event ever. Apple has yet to justify iPad Pros existence. The iPadOS is still not a pro level OS even for a mobile device.
I can’t wait for AI bubble to burst and companies give up on it because of all the legal issues it keeps creating. Love how they act like AI LLMs are so great.. Apple Intelligence sounds like such a lame name.. for AI agents.. basically created zapier inside the OS.. real innovative..
Ai updates are cool for productivity and work overall but the iPadOS upgrade is so lame 💀

@@FFCOACHDAN correct but this is my main and only computer I just wish they did more with the iPads besides drawing and editing. The gaming is nice tho because I don’t own a console. M4 and no real features to fully maximize this beast of a machine.
That math notation in notes, would love it to support more scientific notations including chemistry - its like a Jupyter notebook

iPad OS is what i am primarily interested in . Considering that the iPhone screen is too small for me to read, it makes the iPad my primary device. I still want to select PDF as a printer like I do on the iMac. I really like what I saw for the iPad.
A good list of updates, in my opinion. Finally the Siri we have all wanted. The iOS updates are impressive, as well as the Apple Pencil features with the iPad calculator. Excited to see the AI integration too.
They literally did nothing to justify buying the new ipad m4 cause every Mchip can use AI....what a waste
I have a older iPad and I waited to see what iPad OS was going to have. I'm glad I waited.. I'll stick with my old iPad until it dies..
I'd be excited if they didn't limit Apple Intelligence to A17 Pro devices and newer (so exactly two phones until the 16 comes out. The 15 Pro and Pro Max)
I think most of the customizing stuff will be for younger people. Think teen/early twenties. I seee them using it more. I’m specifically talking about changing app colors, etc. people like me 47 will customize some things like the buttons on Lock Screen, control center, maybe I’ll rearrange my app screen to show more of the picture. The I message stuff is something else I see younger people using more. We will all use the AI features one way or another.
Overall, it’s a great update. I see the AI features advancing overtime. I can’t think of too many more things I need for iPhone that I would actually use. Actually there’s one. Pausing video in camera app!
Personalization is the keyword and Chris nailed that point in the video. This update is going to allow all the Apple users who are in that Apple ecosystem to finally personalize their devices like never before. By the way will you be going to the mic in the hand going forward? The audio quality was on point 🎤

I don’t understand why the new control centre doesn’t expand out on the iPad to use the full screen and show all the pages, nope it just sits in the corner and uses a quarter of the available space.

This was one of the most boring, lackluster Apple events ever. The hosts harped on petty things like the placement of apps and other unimportant semantics as if they were pivotal, amazing, must-haves. Can you imagine how far along Apple would be in innovation and features that actually matter if Steve Jobs was still alive and running Apple?
If you want to really help others with productivity, “I don’t have time for that” is probably the linchpin that makes all the other stuff possible.,
Am I the only one who’s still waiting for Blood Pressure on Watch OS? Apart from that I’m glad Apple are finally onboard with many things that Android has had for quite sometime. Apple Intelligence is just the beginning, and one I’m most interested in, only Apple would rebrand A.I as theirs. 😂
I was really hoping for eye tracking. But vision OS needs to evolve a little more before they bring it to the whole ecosystem and allow you to ditch the mouse.
Plugging into CGPT IMO was a let down after the building up around “ApTel”.
Understandable atm given the market headstart CGPT has but it’s a deal that IMO is icky. A deal with the devil. Wish there was a Wikipedia-type company to rival the shady private profit folks.
Hope they can move towards processing requests offboarded to CGPT anonymously so CGPT only knows this is coming from ‘Apple’ as a whole without being able to drill down to the user. And for them to practically eliminate the need for CGPT altogether soon enough. It’s there if users want it (to curb the EU rulings) but it’s not necessary 99% of cases
QUESTION: I have 1Password, do you think Password will take over 1Password and be better? I know Apple is OCD when it comes to their products. Once they put it out, it means that they have perfected it. It would be nice to stop paying for a password app.

i’m not sure what was super exciting about these WWDC. It’s very underwhelming and if you look at the early beta the announce features are very poorly implemented. So many things lately.

These updates are pretty exciting. I feel like the year I don't watch it the coolest stuff comes out. Really can't wait until the fall releases. I don't think I am going to bother with betas but will definitely continue watching to see how they go.

I was so very disappointed with iPadOS updates. Overall pretty unimpressed on the whole of the OS updates.
Also a bit concerned about OpenAI and privacy.

Why don’t you like Vision Pro?
This was actually a real disappointment overall. The presentation was basically divided into two parts, with the first part mainly consisting of minor cosmetic changes to basically all Mac operating systems. It is noticeable that they have mainly concentrated on the integration of AI which can hopefully stabilize the user experience of the software. But it weighs on me that Apple is running past its own users by constantly pushing forward with technology that is too expensive for the common man to be able to purchase...! Believe me, I love everything Apple does but unfortunately their best innovations in line with rising inflation are starting to create greater and greater distance from their target audience as they constantly set higher requirements for compatible devices to work with the new software. Who will be able to afford to constantly follow in Apple's footsteps? I wish I could…

iOS 18 and ipadOS 18 will be terrible for battery life. I have the new M4 ipad pro and no new noticable features for the masses is a disgrace. No update on stage manager or any mention of the new M4 chip. Calculator App should not have been the highlight. Will we get the option to hide the new side bar on ipadOS 18 or will it cut into content?

Apple Will be forcing users to now talk to their products rather than Touch this will significantly drain the battery with your microphone on all the time. The only feature I like is iPhone mirroring to MacBook I wonder if there will be an IOS restriction to not allow older iOS versions to mirror. Will a data plan be required to use the new mirror features.? Can we accept incoming video calls from iphone? And switching the flashlight icon and camera app will be great finally I saw it could even be a shortcut
