- In this video we will be merging armatures, I was wondering this myself but when looked it up for my assets I found nothing, I figured it out myself and some other dude was asking so I though I would make this video.
Updated Version: • How To Merge Meshes Wi...
"first delete the cube... Then add the cube-" I fuckin wheezed, I've done that before not even thinking 💀
How cringe get a life meg
HOLY FUNK!!! Thanks, dude! I was pulling my hair tryin' to figure out how to delete them BONES and merge the armature(s) properly! XD
np
Control J doesn't work for me when merging Armatures together
when i press ctrl j nothing happens for some reason
could you provide a screenshot or preferably a video? also i would reccomend looking at my latest video, it uses a different process that is alot better and works for more than two parts.
@@altenator2 oh thanks but i kinda fixed it somehow
The starting joke? Absolutely relatable when watching blender tutorials lmao
Also ty for this tutorial, needed this
Np. Just thought i would spread the knowlege.
I spent way too long figuring out how to merge armatures properly. Thank you so much for this vid
Seeing as i found no good videos myself after i found out how to do it i figured i might aswell share the knowledge
Both of my armatures got deleted...
This is super useful lol. Also damn is your commentary depressingly funny to listen to!
"Depressingly Funny" that's a new one...
What i the music for? And why is it so load? Unnecessary. 😏
You are welcome to the one dude that got mad at bogdan zhukov for not giving instructions on how to do this. And yes this is a direct response for the AAA modular soldier asset pack.
Also, make sure you remove the bones to the thing you are adding not the rig itself, otherwise it can cause problems. Also Also, it might be better to just import everything and then delete the bones to all of but and then ctrl-P all of them to that single one, it just is less messy when working with more than two objects.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH hey it WORKS . Thanks :)
the video WOULD be boring if it took like 10 mins to go over the whole thing
brevity is always appreciated
As someone who looks up tutorials all the time myself i figured i would make it as professional yet brief as i could.
it swap the other skel/armatures, but how to combine two skel/ armature into one, thats tmy problem no clue in the internet or its not posible?
Check out the newer video, it might be a better method in your case. ruclips.net/video/pY5KhsuCmXw/видео.html
ty sir
i subed for the cube joke
even if this doesn't work im liking it for making me laugh lmao
Thank you very much, this was really helpful!
NP, i made an updated version on my channel, you should check that out, it uses a better process. (it also allows you to merge more than 2 armatures, which *technically* works with this process but it breaks half the time)
Are skin weights still applied using this method?
I don't use skin weights but I would assume so.
This helped SO MUCH, thank you!
Thank you, amazing and clear vid
legend you
So, if i have a mesh thats separate parts(Head, Body, hair, etc), do I assign bones and such BEFORE joining the meshes as one. Cuz ill be one amature . I was just gonna have each body part bones on a diff layer while setting it up. Do I Join all meshes together and THEN parent with weights . OR is it not possible to keep the meshes seperate but still use same amature and weight paint. Im 100% sure i didnt articulate that correctly. You kina get what im saying?
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Delete all the bones to the different meshes except one(which is the final armature), then Ctrl+J them together, then do the bone weights and you are good. I think i will make a follow up video to this question tomarrow. You gave me something to do tomarrow thanks.
@@altenator2 oh your welcome. I dont need to join my meshes together right. As long as they are using the same armature, right?
if you can set the weights of one mesh to another mesh's without joining them then yes.@@Omnivoid22
Ok my goo sir. Thank you. I will try and perfect my armature now@@altenator2
Made the video.
Thank you ^^
Np
that was great, Thank you!
