      You cannot be serious, right?
Seattle could have easily won that game had they given the ball to Marshawn Lynch. Thats stating the obvious but seriously.
He was averaging 4.5 yards per carry that game. Even if he got stopped on that play he would have had 2 more times to try and get it in the end zone and to sit here and tell me with a straight face that the Pat's defense would prevent Lynch from gaining 1 yard 3 different times is absolutely Ludacris. Whoever made that call is a complete idiot and should not be allowed to coach or call any play for any NFL team ever again.
Oh and by the way Rams vs Titans Superbowl was easily a better game than watching a team get robbed by one idiot call. Also the Patriots vs Falcons Superbowl was definetley one of the greatest Games I have watched for sure.

As a Pats fan, the Seahawks as a team deserved to win that game. One bad call from one person overrode the obvious talent your team had. There is zero chance we could have stopped Marshawn Lynch multiple times with a yard to go.
We won this game by fluke, just like we won the game against the Giants in the regular season in our so-called "perfect" season. That was one ugly game and we took a huge beating and all the flukes went our way. The Giants were the only team that whole season I was afraid of in the playoffs and I predicted we'd lose before the game started.
Your team was the slightly better one here, one fluke didn't go your way and it sucks when that happens. May you experience a "Brady era" of your own so you can feel the good side of it.

Like most teams on the goalline they try at least one pass, normally second down. if it was incomplete they would have two more downs to run the ball.
If you run it on second down and don't get it, you then waste the timeout you have to throw on your next down or risk wasting the chance to go for it on 4th down. Basically they wanted to maximize their chance to use all 4 downs if needed.

I bet you even Russell was thinking they were outsmarting the Pats defense by passing instead of running in such an obvious run situation. Being a "yes man" (whatever you define that as) had nothing to do with it. Calling and then poorly running the wrong play in the wrong situation is what happened. Genius.

That drop by Kearse @8:26 hurts so much in hindsight. Obviously the pick gets all the attention because it was the most insane sequence of events. If he hauls in that perfect throw though we extend the drive and possibly go up 31-14.
