I have the same laptop (Acer E5-576g) and yes it supports NVMe SSDs, but just like this video, only up to PCIe 3.0 x2 lanes (not x4). So you will get just below 2 GB/s read and write and not the maximum promised speed of the NVMe drive. I use a Lexar NM610 NVMe 500GB SSD and it runs great! 1.6 GB/s sequential read and 1.5 GB/s write. Edit: you can use 1TB or higher capacity if you want.

@@playergame6398 I am not sure I understand your question. But if you are asking if you need to delete your old HDD, then no. You must clone your old HDD to the new NVMe SSD (after physically installing it). Then change the boot sequence in the BIOS to boot from NVMe instead of HDD.
Make sure you can boot without any problems in the SSD (you will know if it boots from SSD because it is super fast). After that, you can reformat you HDD, or just keep it as backup boot drive.

and what makes sense? this nmve can work only with half speeed !!! because this ssd nest cant handle more speed on this current laptop ... they cant reach their read/write 3500mbs :/ , just half speeds... it doesnt matter. Interface of Samsung 970 EVO plus is PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, but on the laptop is x2 , x4 is twice the speed of x2, so if that drive is capable of using the entire bandwidth of x4, then its speeds will be cut in half when it's connected to x2.
