I first tried installing the ram without reseting the battery like you showed and then the laptop would not start up without the AC adapter plugged in. I removed the new stick and followed your steps and now it works. Thank you! :)

Its very helpful! I just had some problems removing the back cover since its my 1st time removing this (not even been repaired) that is why its kinda hard to detach it. But its very helpful indeed. Thanks man!
CAUTION! DO NOT use a paperclip to "reset" the battery. Once I replaced the battery the laptop failed to function on battery, even though it showed charged at a consistent 96%. After tedious troubleshooting I discovered the battery reset button was stuck in the down position, preventing the battery from functioning. I also discovered that resetting the battery is NOT required for installing new RAM boards. If in doubt, simply remove the few screws on the back panel and remove the battery before installing new RAM. It literally only takes a few minutes.

Can you please make a video of how to clean fan on the same laptop. Because I'm having the same laptop, I've upgraded the ram to 8gb but still it heats up. It often shutdown randomly. And then takes a long time to get started. Please help me with the solution... 🙏🙏🙏
Nice. I only clean / vacumm dust my laptop from outside. With this guide i can remove/clean dust inside laptop.

i am planning to add a ram stick with the same specs as with the one already installed but different brand. Adata 4GB cl17 2400Mhz 1.2v is the one already installed. now i plan to install additional ram stick with exact same specs, only the brand is Apacer. because that's the only brand available here locally that matches with the previous. but the seller says that this ram im planning to buy may not be compatible as it chooses brands of laptops. can that be true? how?

Check the memory speed from windows task manager.
Only 2 slots usable for physical memory.

Not possible, you should select the memory module according to your specific RAM speed and RAM type. I used in this tutorial Acer Aspire E15 E5-575-50RM.

Why did you put a paperclip in the battery hole? I don't understand what the purpose of that was.

There's a button through that hole on the motherboard which (when pressed) acts as a "battery-pull". He said to hold it down for 10 seconds to "reset" the battery, but imo, that's not necessary since the moment you remove the cover, the laptop won't turn on because there's a tiny switch that the cover presses to keep the motherboard on.
Hello Boss, i relocated the existing 4Gb DDR3 RAM to the extended memory slot. When I turned on my laptop the screen is not functioning and stay black. Turned off my laptop and then I put back the RAM to it's original slot but the screen is still not working. What should I do, boss?
Clean the ram connector cartridges then reinstall, after that reset the battery and then connect the AC adapter cable, and please try to turning on your laptop after few minutes later.

No, you should buy according to your specific RAM type and RAM speed.
I think, I'm not 100% sure, that you don't need to reset the battery through the pinhole. On my laptop when I take off the service door it shuts down the power in the whole pc and I can't turn it on, only if I plug it in. There is a very small black switch under the door so when you take off the service door it turns the power automatically off so you can't turn the pc on, on battery I didn't knew it and i didn't put the service door back and for 2 days I thought I screwed up my battery, I almost bought a new battery. Than I decided to go to a service so I have put back the service door, and just to be sure I pushed the power button for a last check without plugging it in, and the pc turned on, and everything is cool now!

Is any brand of ram applicable as long as it does not exceed to 16gb of ram? You used kingston brand. I have 4gb of ram but the brand is SK hynix. Is it still compatible??
