I watched this 7 months ago when my TE started. Now, believe it or not, my hair is back to it’s normal density and I stopped shedding! There is hope people!!!!
Spent so many days/nights crying over this - the "Get Over it" part is SO true and necessary. Your tears won't fix your hair! But your positive action will 💕
Wow! Me too 😢 I work in a hospital and my whole unit was converted into a “covid unit”. Got Sick end of March and today I’ve lost about 50% of my hair, which is already thin and fine so now idk how to hide it. I’ve been very depressed and trying to make the best of it. It’s hard. Some days I feel I’m over it, other days I cry. My bf doesn’t know what to do anymore, he feels helpless. But I appreciate these videos and tips. Anyone reading this, sending you all my ❤️
So glad to see this comment I thought I was going mad, I had covid a few months ago and now I've lost about a third of my hair! Sorry you're going through this too!
Lucy Stentaford my dermatologist said they’re seeing a ton of this due to COVID. It really tears your body apart so it’s no surprise there are longer term issues. Mine seems to have slowed down a little. I’m taking a biotin supplement and using liquid minoxidil (generic Rogaine for women from Target) and I’m seeing a lot of baby hairs coming in!
elovejoy925 thank you for sharing. I too had COVID in March. Recently, I started shedding hair like crazy. My daughter was sick in February which we thought was flu and her hair started falling out before mine. I’m certain it’s from COVID. My Dr. says it’s stress and keeps prescribing different anxiety meds that I’m not taking because the side effects are “crazy”. I’m still in freak out stage but I’m so glad to know I’m not alone.
Thank you so much for all these videos. I've lost about 60% of my hair due to my struggles with an eating disorder over many years. It is so depressing and hard on the self esteem, which I obviously already have a lot of issues with. I appreciate your positivity in these videos and they give me hope that things can get better if I try to take better care of myself.
It's comforting to know that we're not alone. It's almost a year since I had a Bowel Resection done and 3 months later my hair started falling out, and because of it I chose to cut it really short because I felt it wouldn't be as noticeable. Needless to say, it only made me feel worse. Spent my entire summer in hiding. The hair continued to shed for a couple more months and sometime in mid September it stopped. We are in the first week of November and I do notice that it's starting to grow again and fill in . I was taking a Hair, Nail vitamin and when it ran out, I continued taking Biotin. Honestly, I don't think anything can make it grow back, it's just a matter of time before the follicles wake up again. I agree that the longer you stress about it the worse you'll make it. The good news is, IT WILL GROW BACK and as she pointed out, it doesn't happen over night. In the meantime, do something nice for yourself and take the focus off the hair loss. It's temporary even if it doesn't feel that way. Good Luck :-)
I had a perforated colon in January which necessitated 2 surgeries. After the 2nd one I started TE. I’m starting to get regrowth but am anxious every time I wash my hair. My shower stopped up and we got a whole ponytail worth of hair out. I wash every 3 days now. Hope that is frequent enough. My surgeon wasn’t familiar with surgery related TE so I took her some information. She said it happened to her during her residency. Must be pretty common for various reasons.
me too. ive had TE for well over a year and I have been obsessing about it every waking moment. "get over it" and "focus on regrowth not fallout" apply to me 100 percent
This video is really helpful. About 2 months ago I noticed I was shedding much more hair than normal. I discovered later on, through some research that certain types of hormonal birth control can contribute to hair loss and can trigger TE, which is what I believed to be causing my hair loss. It is so extremely traumatizing to watch so much hair wash down the drain, and I had nobody to talk to about what was happening to me. I had such long, full hair and suddenly it getting thinner and thinner. Even my normal doctors chalked it up to too much stress. It still causes me so much anxiety when I comb my hair or wash it and see so much falling out, but I have seen new growth and tons of little tiny baby hairs popping up all over my scalp. I'm hoping the shed will eventually slow down, but until then I'm trying my best to just make it day by day and feel secure in knowing that this isn't permanent and that I have more hair than I really know.
THERE'S REALLY HOPE! WAHH. MY HAIR STARTED GROWING BACK AND THE SHREDDING AMOUNT IS DECREASING 😭😭😭 I CRIED BECAUSE OF ITTTT. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF HOPING, FINALLY. 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺🥺💙
@@lykabareja5839 it's very okay, I heard so many people saying they kept losing small hairs even after they thought everything was over, it's basically the last thing that happens before actual regrowth I know it's easy to say but like really try not to worry about it, I promise it gets better
Watch me: My hair will grow back My hair will be thicker than i ever had My hair will be beautiful, healthy and strong My hormones will be back to normal and I will get period I am beautiful and confident in my gorgeous body ❤️
I haven't spoken to my doctor yet, but I think I'm going through this right now. It happened all of a sudden. I took a shower one day, fine. 2 days later... my hair started to fall out. I have thick hair so this is really traumatizing to me. I've always been complimented on my natural colour and silkiness and now this. Honestly wanted to keep this a secret from the world. It's friggin scary!! However, I decided to open up to people in my social media community and thankfully everyone just wants me to get better. I'm so concerned about my look that this is making me feel so insecure. NOW IS THE TIME TO TRY STEP #1! Let's see what my doctor says and I'll try my best to overcome this challenge. I've never had a health issue this serious before so it's really difficult for me. Let's do this! ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
I started losing hair a couple months ago after I was hospitalized in July 2021 for Covid. I was very sick with Pneumonia. Now it’s shedding hands full. About 35;percent loss so far. It’s at a very rapid pace. Yes I still wash every couple days. It will come out regardless if you shampoo or not.
I just wanna say that this video really helped me a lot. I suffered from hair loss due to excessive coloring and during my first 3 months of "regrowth" i felt really hopeless and paranoid cause i felt like the density of my hairwas still the same but through watching this video a couple of months ago it made me get over it and love other parts myself more during regrowth. Months of self care passed less all the paranoia/worrying and it just surprised me that my hair is a lot lot better now than it was before. So thank u so much!! ❤️
I like how you accepted what happened to you and started fighting it . I’m having the same problem right now and your videos inspired me . Thank you from Morocco
So fast forward to another year later. My hair has definitely gotten fuller. It has stopped falling out just the occasional shedding every now and then. I did switch from the regular biotin supplement to the hair skin and nails gummies. They freaking work! My hair has a bunch of new growth. It’s still a work in progress. But patience and just let go girls. I used the Loreal grey spray to color in the patches. But I promise it gets better.
Recently just found out that I have this after losing my dog a few months ago. I’ve always had pride in having super thick hair, so this is super tough. Thank you for making this video and helping me not feel so alone 💛
hey… super old comment but pls reply if you see this. i’d love to known how it’s going for you. i used to not be grateful for my super thick hair. now it’s all gone, horribly thin, basically see through. i’m terrified. i miss my hair so so much, i’m worried it will never be as it was. i’m only 21, j have severe depression right now and this is making it so much worse.
@@fairygrl999 Hi love, so sorry to hear you’re going through this, it’s devastating to lose so much of your hair and I can relate to so much of what you’re going through right now. I used to not wash or brush my hair for weeks on end because I was so scared of getting in the shower and seeing all my hair go down the drain but I promise you it does get better. I started to see my hair regain thickness in late 2022 and I actually went to a new hairdresser the other day and she complimented how thick my hair was which made me tear up a bit. I think a lot of it (unfortunately) is just time and making sure you’re nourishing your body which I can understand is going to be a huge struggle if you’re going through a deep depression. I’m sending you a huge hug right now and really hope you can get through this and come out the other end with beautiful hair! Also there’s a telogen effluvium subreddit you can join if you’re looking to connect with other people who have it, might make you feel a little less alone in what you’re going through. All my love x
Loved the get over it tip! In the begging I was really really upset and do have days when I am more down than others, but overall it is so good to know that you are beautiful even if you don't feel it! I am struggling with TE from some strange medical issues that occurred over the last couple months. Long story short I was diagnosed with a terminal illness which turned out to be false, about a month after I was starting to recover from said terminal illness I was shedding massive amounts of hair. I have tried to eliminate all other stress forms, eat good, and focusing on regrowth, but I am still shedding more than I would like. Not as much as it was in the beginning, however. Anyways that's my story, would like to hear from others. Like Lauren said we are a community, now lets support each other!!!
Hi Sally!! SO happy to have you here and that you were willing to open up about your story! I truly can not even imagine getting a false positive for a terminal illness, that must have been such a rollercoaster - but I am so happy you are on your way to being healthy, with a lovely head of hair too! I know how you feel - feeling like you're doing all the right things but you are still shedding, but you just have to have faith that if you stay on the right path the shedding will slow and regrowth will speed up. It's a long process but your body wants to be healthy and happy, you just have to help it out a bit sometimes!
I'm so stressed. My hair finally grew back after 4 years, and then I swapped my birth control and now its shedding again. Has anyone gone through this? What should I do? I heard switching back and forth makes it worse.
I switched from depo to sprintec about 9 months ago and it's been falling since December. I didnt know it was because I switched and I still dont have a confirmation of that so I'm going to call my pcp and gyno and hope that they can help.
omg the dry shampoo tip... i’m always spraying dry shampoo bc i’m scared to wash my hair in the case of falling out. i never knew this could be having a negative effect on my hair growth!
I had covid in November and I just started having severe hair loss. Clump and clumps of hair falling out it was such a scary feeling till this day but I can take a breather knowing im not the only one going through this.
@@sidhaya1371 yes i went to see a dermatologist and blood work came out fine. But it was due to covid and the stress that my body went through. But my hair is not falling anymore.
I’m 20yrs old and started experiencing extreme shedding after having Mono in December 2022. It’s now June 2023 and my hair is STILL shedding soooo much, I really related to dreading showers, I hate running my hands through my hair and losing 20 strands in one sweep. I was extremely stressed when I was going through the health stuff, like EXTREMELY STRESSED. I think the stress + compromised immune system really just obliterated my hair follicles. I’ve been diagnosed with TE by one doctor, i’m currently working on getting another doctor to check me out because i’m afraid of it being AGA or the TE unmasking the AGA. So far most of the thinning is diffuse (all over) with the thinnest parts of my hair being my sides and back crown area. All hair falls out with the follicle and my hair has become very dry and brittle. Ive begun taking vitamins, b12 complex, sea derived biotin, vitamin D, Iron capsules, Turmeric, Reishi, and Zinc, as well as eating a high protein diet. To hydrate my hair i’ve been applying hyaluronic acid, it’s been really helping me keep my remaining hair soft and hydrated. I also apply it on my scalp and it REALLY helps with hydration; I use the laroche pose brand. I’ve been working out more recently and trying to remind myself that if it continues to get worse there’s always wigs and that my hair shouldn’t be something I rely on so heavily. Getting over it is really tough but it really is the first step. I hope all of our hair loss is resolved and I’m grateful to have god guiding me throughout this journey! I pray for y’all and send you guys love ❤
@@rahelahaque375 Hi, my hair has honestly been getting better, I have a lot of re-growth towards the front but my back crown area is still really thin. I believe the supplements + change in diet helped me the most. I take vitamin d, iron, nourkin, vitamin e, b12 complex, and occasionally vitamin C. I also have begun taking probiotics and eating a lot more fiber. I strive for 30g of fiber a day. My shedding has minimized but my hair isn’t what it used to be. I also began oiling my hair once a week, i think that’s also helped especially with the overall health of my hair strands. In conclusion, my hair has improved since july-june but still isn’t what it used to be before my shed.
Hello Lauren, I usually never comment on RUclips videos, but I really needed to thank you for what you're doing. Reading your blog is very reassuring as I'm going through it at the moment, and I am devastated. I am hiding it from my family and my friends because they just wouldn't take the issue seriously (I've always had long and thick curly hair, so the loss didn't show drastically, at least not before I've had to cut my hair). Your words give me confidence and hope. Thank you so much.
Aww - thank you so much for commenting (and watching). I totally understand people not taking it seriously, i always felt kind of weird even talking to people about it because of their responses, and i truly don't think you get it until you are in the situation. I am so glad that my experience can help you and that you are starting to feel more confident and hopeful, thats the key! Wishing you the best of luck on this unfortunate journey, stay positive!
Shoutout to my fellow COVID survivors/long haulers. I was in a coma in the ICU for about a week and a half due to respiratory failure due to covid. It was actually a really close call for me, I’m lucky to be alive. I’ve made a full recovery, but I’m starting to experience TE right on time, about 2 months after getting out of the hospital and it’s terrifying. I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid in a couple months so I’m extra scared of ruining the pictures. I’m finding clumps and clumps of hair falling out every time I shower. And excess stray hairs falling out throughout the day and on my pillow when I wake up. I’m glad I’m not the only one going through this. I’m currently taking a biotin supplement as well as a gentle iron supplement. I’m also trying different biotin-forward shampoos/conditioners. Trying to improve diet. Any other tips from anyone? They’re greatly appreciated 😊 Much love and healing to everyone!
Found your channel via your blog where you initially talked about your TE. I’ve been losing hair for years now, 2-3 i’d say. It was an endless loop of trying oils and garlic and all that stuff but never sticking to one. And when you said in your blog that you were always looking at others’ hair all the time, felt miserable etc; i felt seen. Your tips and channel are incredibly helpful and I think it’s easier to find strength in a platform like this. Thank you! Subscribed.
I had TE last year I was only 11 I wish I saw this video earlier it would of gave me inspiration to genuinely better I can now say that I’m healthy now!
I’m currently kinda coming out of shedding era, from March to June/July. My hair was really long and I never experienced so much hair loss. Since I cut it really stopped the shedding, but I feel so impatient and I never got diagnosed, even tho I see many baby hairs growing I’m quite nervous it won’t have the same volume as before 😢
i’m a bit late but i had an eating disorder for about 4-5 months, i’m about a month into recovery right now and my hair is shedding non stop! i raised my calories to about 2000 and started taking vitamins, but seeing all these comments of people saying their hair didn’t grow back is kinda making me lose hope. i just want my hair back
@@ilovechuu6923 after about 2 months it stopped falling out completely until a month ago .. it started shedding so so bad again and there isn’t a trigger i could think of .. i’ve been steady in recovery for almost a year now .. my hair shed slowed down a lot but it hasn’t stopped yet !!
This video was really halpful, I'm 16 and around 3 months ago I was in hospital after having sudden acute liver failure, and I was warned by my doctor once I got out I'd most likely experience hair loss and about a month later I did, these past 2 months have been pretty damn stressful because my telogen effluvium was unusually rapid and I've already lost over 60% of my hair, but I like your attitude towards it, I have been telling myself to get over it because I'm gonna lose the hair no matter what but it's really nice to hear it from somebody else, you also have some good tips that I've not heard off other people so thanks :)
I also did exactly the same thing you did about a month ago, where I got so stressed about my hair I refused to wash it and I put it in braids, it was a huge mistake haha it got really knotted and my hair got so itchy and when I inevitably washed and brushad it about 3 handfuls came out.
PLS REPLY. How is your hair now? I also have severe TE and ive lost 70% of my hair. I wish i was exaggurating but sadly thats the reality. Im trying to get over it and am taking vacation soon with my mom to help destress but hoping to find positive feedbacks
Even though my doctor said clearly that I have TE and I have every single symptoms of TE, the only thing that troubles me is that I have fine thin hair, due to genetics... I don't think I'm having the 'crazy' hairfall thing...I feel very sad and worried because I originally have thin and fine hair..some days I'm chirpy and happy and all of a sudden I become so depressed that I start crying and can't focus on anything else..I feel, more than physical, it's a psychological problem. I don't know what to do because I'm just 19 and study stress is always there...now again I feel like crying, I don't know what's happening to my mental strength
oh I am super sorry to hear that :(( I Feel you, I'm going through the same thing and even when you finally accept it and you feel comfortable about yourself you notice the thinning areas and ughhh, you start worrying again, it's depressing :"" what bothers me most is that I am starting college next month, it's whatever thoo :( we really shouldn't worry too much about it; it's gonna take its sweet sweet time, we should let our scalp do its thing! it's the only thing that can help us get through this madness sooner :* anyways just letting you know that you're not alone, here's hoping that everything gets better soon 💜✨✨
@@lePuru thanks a lot for those reassuring words..the tiny bit of scalp peeking at certain regions is definitely troublesome🥲 I'm starting my college soon too..and it's this excessive study related stress + lockdown stress that gifted me with T.E
I just began major hair shedding in December. I had a terrible case of Covid 19 in late September 21. Everything is showing that TE is up 400% and it's believed to be from the stress of Covid. Well, at this point I believe I've shed around 40% of my hair. I certainly hope I am not one that continues to shed hair for another few months. It seems like the shedding is slowing down, so that's good. It's nothing like it was the first two weeks. Here is to growing back some beautiful healthy hair over the next year!
My hair shedding has been present for almost 6 months. At first I thought, oh I’m just sort of changing my hair (like many people say that in 7 years you change your hair) but then it got worse, much worse. I tried everything out. Shampoos for hair loss. I even made a blood test, to see if there’s any infection in my body or maybe my level of iron is low. But everything was completely healthy. I tried to was my hair only with a shampoo which has sulfur in it, because I associated my hair loss with my seborrhea. My shedding is still unbelieviably scary to be honest, but I sort of accepted it. And yesterday I’ve found an article about T.E. and now there’s a slight chance that I won’t be bald at the end of the year. I don’t know the cause yet, and due to this fantastic pandemic I won’t be able to find out if it’s a dental problem or not. Is it bad that sometimes small pieces of hair fall out as well?
Go to a dermatologist, take iron, biotin and multivitamins supplements , drink plenty of water and eat good nutrition. Avoid heat as much as possible so wash hair with cold water and let air dry. And if you want to straighten which I don’t recommend do it 1-2 a month hope this helps in some way❤️❤️
Small pieces of my hair does break off in the shower. I believe I am in recovery now because in the past I could run my fingers through my hair and a crap ton of all different lengths would fall out. I used to wake up with my pillow covered in breakage, but now only a few hairs.
I lost alot of weight recently doing low carb but hair was coming out while washing before the weight loss and now I can see my scalp on top more than I ever could and it's all I think about I'm consciously trying not to tonight. I applied rogaine twice today had a doctor check for thyroid issues vitamin levels electrolytes, all a ok. I do take antidepressant but always have I don't know what to do. Thanks for the vid!
I wouldn't take minoxidil. You might get more stressed the first few months of more shedding it causes. Just take multivitamins, biotin, use raw African black soap to wash scalp and non chemical conditioner. It takes a few months until you'll see new hair growth. It will most likely grow back. Remember once u start minoxidil u have to take it the rest of your life. Do u actually see yourself applying it twice a day everyday? Once u stop taking it you'll have worst hairfall than what u started with. I take finasteride and it helps along with multivitamin and biotin, too bad it's only for males.
Hi I had same issue in 2017 when i had a child birth and i got recovered very gradually and my hair was super duper thick than ever before by end of 2019. But quite recently as i stopped my birth control i had massive hair loss and I am in TE phase again . I am trying to have good food and regular exercise and see how it goes. Its devastating initially but as i experienced this already I know this is temporary as long as you try to keep good health.
I lost a lot of weight during quarantine and I have been shedding 200 strands a day for months to the point where when I brush my fingers through my hair you can see soooooo much scalp and I’m only 18😩 it’s even worse because I use to have such thick hair I was known for it and it was my fav feature of myself 😞
@@missfraser9828 it just started to slow down about a month ago and I think it’s mainly due to me changing my diet and eating way more calories and nutrients everyday. Instead of one meal I eat three now I had really bad anxiety and I was super depressed so I didn’t eat much. I also use natural hair brands and I try to control my stress levels. I also take iron pills everyday and I think that made a big difference make sure u get a lot of iron and vitamin b12
I had this for literally years (chronic); had to shave my head it was so bad. I tried everything! Vitamins, hormone tests, thyroid tests, laser therapy. The depression this caused was not healthy. The only thing that worked was "oral" Minoxidil. Liquid had no effect even after a year. It's not super thick like it once was, but you can't see my scalp anymore. Just wanted to share this info. There are places you can order if you look. Consult a doctor first of course . For most people it resolves in less than a year on its own. Not me. lol
What was your TE from?? Mine was from Accutane (or possibly covid during same time, but the scalp was tender and itshy before I had covid and thats why i think its accutane for sure)
Seen 2 other comments on this video about it, but yep, I had Covid right about 3 months ago. Few weeks ago I noticed more hair falling out than usual (I have shoulder length hair) and I chalked it up to the weather getting cold because my hair starts to dry out and frizz like wild when the winter rolls around. I stopped by a salon yesterday and was asking about something new to try to get rid of the frizz, and the conversation got let over to me asking if it was just the winter causing more shedding than normal. The lady asked me if I had covid before, I said "yea about 3 months ago actually" and she said that 2-3 months after having it people are experiencing Telogen Effluvium and she had it as well and a bunch of her clients were dealing with it. She said it usually resolves in about 6 months for most people, but in the mean time I figured I'd try to find some other stuff to use and I'll be picking up some supplements and stuff today to see if it will help cut down on the length of time I'll have to experience this. So, if you are reading this and had covid 2-3 months ago, that likely could be the reason you're on this video, just like I am.
I am extremely thankful for you, putting out these tips. I’m suffering from (what I believe) TE right now, and I’m so bummed out. Your video has really helped to refocus my attention on these points. I’m also taking your advice from the previous video, to get to my GP and get a CBC blood panel done, to see if I’m deficient in any vitamins/nutrients. Honestly, I think my issue is solely due to school & life stress... I’m highly anxious every day, all day... so, it makes sense that my hormones are now ganging up on me. If the GP route doesn’t give me answers, next in line is Endocrinologist for hormone testing and then onto a hairloss clinic for analysis. What makes me feel more calm is watching your videos and creating a PLAN. Sitting here and crying over it, won’t help with shit, so getting off my ass and being proactive is key. Thank you so much, again. I have just subscribed to you, and I think you are an amazing influence. 💗
I am so glad that this helped you feel better - my reasons were primarily stress from work and life stuff - things you cant really change so i can totally relate. I also had bad anxiety so I can relate with that too! Totally love that you are ready to make a plan and move on - that makes me KNOW things will be ok!! thanks for subscribing! 💜
I had every blood test imaginable! I went to see my primary doctor, 2 dermatologists, and acupuncturist. I am going to see a neurologist at the end of this month because I have experienced a lot of pain at the crown of my head along with TE. The cause of it was long term critical mental stress, high fever from the flu last year, and going under anesthesia for a medical procedure that was all done within weeks of each other. However nine months later I am still shedding more hair than I should be. I do have regrowth though thank God but I don’t think I will ever catch up with the loss. I guess I’m just going to end up having thin hair for the rest of my life. My family members say that they don’t really see it so that is a good thing. I have been taking a new supplement called Nutrafol, And I am starting my fourth month of it. If results are good I’ll come back and tell you!
I had pneumonia in January and was hospitalised for 19 days. Loads of hair is coming out, I’m down to at least 50/60% less. New growth is visible, the anxiety is high. I’m doing lots of self nurturing practices, some work some don’t. If I knew how long I think I’d settle more. It’s the second most stressful thing I’ve experienced in my life.
4 years ago I had TE. I recovered and my hair grew back to it's normal density. Between then and 2021 I had several small lacks of vitamines, but not that kinda bad. The hair fall was just like two months and then it stopped itself when the vitamines were ok. Now, I have again TE since 15 october 2020. We are now the 2nd of January 2021 in lockdown. I know i have not enough ZINC so that's why I take supplements to boost it. But I don't notice any stop of hairloss. My hair is soooo long and was so thick. Now i'm feeling 'ugly' and I'm thinking to cut it all short again, just for the volume. But ATM there is lockdown so: no doctors, no hairdressers etc... 2021 only can get better then it is now... I hope I recover soon. I hope you all will be healthy soon!!! We can do this!
hi. pls share your journey since then if you can! i’m scared i have such a long road ahead of me, it just fell out 50-60% and i’m just so scared. i miss my thick hair, i was never grateful and now i fear i will never have the opportunity to be.
Hey Lauren, and thanks for this video 😊 I just wished to share my experience about this topic with others. I am suffering from telogen effluvium for about 2 years now. I am currently 32 years old. I visited bunch of doctors within these 2 years, my endocrinologist, ginecologist, dermathologist…but nobody kinda had the right answer why is this happening. It seems like if the stressful event caused this 2 years ago, but I expected my hair to recover from that at some point. Oh well, so far it didnt recover, it had ups and downs, but currently my hair is shedding again :/ I could notice that I had a bunch of new hair growing at some point, but unfortunately even this new hair fall down, even though it was only 5 cm long. But as Lauren said, I am kinda not stressed about it 😊 and I am kinda not fault for this, so all we can do is to wait and do your best with your hair care 😊 I am also trying to be disciplined with healthy food and going to the gym 😊 and you know what people? I think when you are doing your best to fight it, you just kinda stop being stressed about it, because you are exactly doing your best and you know, you cannot do more than that 😊 so we just wait and stay optimistic 😊 and as my dermathologist said - we are not losing our hair, it is just falling. The new hair is growing, the thing is just to make sure it wont come to this resting phaze too soon 😊
Kept this video in mind when I went grocery shopping yesterday. Supplement video would be great too! Also interested in knowing how much water you drink on a daily basis.
Im a teen who had a bad case of covid and im great now but i think i might have TE because when im in the shower ALOT of my hair pulls out..... and when i lightly pull my fingers through my hair alot comes out.... Ive had thick hair since i was born, like i literally had a full head of hair when i was born lol. Im vegan but i feel like i need to eat better, and exercise more honestly. I've been taking the hum hair gummies which are good, but im going to check my hormones and talk to my doctor soon to see if its TE. :) ty ty
My personal recovery diet: A lack of proteins, iron, and healthy fats are very big factors contributing towards TE. I have been struggling with TE for 2.5 years now. I too have baby hairs (thin strands of hair) and hence I feel I need to take care of my hair more than an average human being. I do these things:- 1) Have a big bowl of lentil soup (daal), an Indian recipe with spinach/kale and a spoon of ghee along with lunch and dinner. 2) Take Omega-3 tablets. Nature's bounty product. 3) I try to eat fewer carbs (not zero carbs as I am not on a keto diet) 4) I definitely eat colorful veggies with my lunch and dinner. Around 3 different colors. The big bowl of daal covers my protein requirements also keeping it vegan 5) I have oatmeal for breakfast and try to include as many nuts (walnuts and almonds) and seeds as possible (chia, ground flaxseeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin). Have a vitamin-C rich fruit with your breakfast. You can also do a smoothie or a healthy egg sandwich with avocados and tomatoes. I am also a big yogurt and milk fan, which I occasionally have when I am hungry. The big bowl of daal with spinach sauteed in it with ghee made a big difference for me. I am hair fall free currently and hopefully, it will stay a same.
@@hariv4184 No. I did have less hair but it was a uniform hairfall not in patches so I could see it thinning but it didn't thin to such a great extent that I will have visible patches. Again, it depends on how much you're stressing your body. Body gets stressed due to less Calories, less proteins as well as working out a lot. Don't do extreme cardio to lose weight. Mix it up with weight training and please watch your proteins and fats. You should get enough of it. Big bowl of daal twice a day was enough for me. Add dry fruits to your diet. Have less carbs if you're worried about weight loss along with it but don't compromise on proteins, fats and vegetables. I hope I answered your question. :-)
Thank you for this video! I had been doing keto since January and lost almost 3 stone however around 2 months ago my hair started falling out, I realised the damage was already done and that there was nothing I could do to stop it, it’s still falling out but has slowed to a continuous shedding now, I’m hopeful it will stop soon as I’ve corrected my diet and taking supplements, I’m scared to wash or brush my hair but as your said wether it comes out today or tomorrow it’s coming out anyway 😩 I will troop on and hope that it stops soon x
Omg I’m going through the same thing due to keto/IF. Started diet July 2020, hair started falling out Oct....I’m on my 11th week and I keep wondering when is this going to stop. I share most of the feelings I’ve read on here...don’t wanna wash it cause I can’t stand to look at the hair brush... I’ve stooped working out cause I don’t want to sweat cause I don’t wanna wash it :( It’s a vicious cycle. Can’t wait for the shedding to stop and to start seeing the regrowth...
Oh wow! I lost about 75% of my hair 3 months after having a very dangerous allergic reaction. Some people with DRESS Syndrome (like me) lose all of their hair. I never know it was called "telogen Effluvium". I've been dealing with this for so long and can't believe I didn't know this. My hair is just starting to grow back now. All good advice:)
Would love to hear more about your diet and supplements you used during your TE phase! Was just diagnosed and have been shedding for about 6 weeks now. Right now I take the GNC ultra mega multivitamin and have just started using the Kevin Murphy plumping shampoo. Looking for suggestions on other things I can add into my daily routine.
I don’t know if I have this but 4 months ago I got severe shingles and shortly after maybe a month after my hair started falling out and it’s still falling out for the past 4 months. I really hope my hair stops falling out :/ I have a doctors appt to see what’s still causing this hair loss. Thank you for your insight!
I’m having TE again after a couple years. Two years ago I got my breast implants removed because I was having lots of heath issues TE was one of them. It went away after I got them removed. Now I think I’m just very stressed out I’ve been taking a lot of medications, I started birth control, and I have to be honest I eat like shit and I don’t excercise. I’m going to see my doctor again about this and see if there’s something that will show up on blood work. But I’m getting over it, and I’m going to change my lifestyle. I’m so unhealthy it’s ridiculous oh and I’m also a smoker 🤦🏻♀️ I know I know it’s horrible.
Been there so I totally understand - being healthy is really hard for me and i sometimes fall in and out of it - just do the best you can and know that things will get better with time! Good luck - You got this!!
This video helped me so much. It's been a few months now since I noticed the shedding, I saw a hair specialist and she told me it was most likely due to stress (I had recently gone through a hugely stressful event) and my diet, which I am working on right now. Honestly I think I'm still struggling with the 'get over it' phase: I have days where I'm okay, I know my hair will be fine, I just need to give it time, and then I have days where I burst into tears. My hair is such a huge part of my identity and a confidence booster, so seeing it shed so much has really taken its toll on me. I do want to try some hair supplements, if anyone can suggest some good ones that would be wonderful (vegan ones if possible!). Thank you Lauren for posting this, it really does help.
I'm definitely dealing with some underlying health causes wrecking my hair. I've noticed all the hair loss videos matching my symptoms are girls. Are there any guys in your community?
Yeah, I'm a guy. My hairs been falling out like crazy lately. Not sure if this started because I was using control GX hair dye, all this Covid anxiety or some other health issue. I started doing keto back in March and noticed hair loss in early July. Have been doing low carb for years and never lost any hair. Not sure what the problem is. I'm nervous to look at my hands after shampooing because of all the follicles. Now I wash and try not to look. Lol. Definitely wearing a ball cap a lot more often! No one in my family is balding so what gives? My sister and brother both say they lost hair after losing weight. Not sure if this is the same issue. She also told me it could be TE.
i’m literally 15 years old and this is happening to me because of how much stress i go through, and i don’t know what to do so i’m watching this video, i just started shedding and i’m so scared and confused idk what to do or really to start and i have no one to talk to. i feel like i’m gonna be mocked and idk im just really stressing about it
I started shedding like crazy about six months ago... and all the sudden I saw some re growth going on about 2 months ago, but now for this past week I’ve shed more than usual.:( honestly don’t know what to do.
you will have times with more intense shedding, that freaked me out in the beginning too but you just have to get an idea of whats "normal" and whats "excess" - my biggest advice is to try to keep up with what was working and try to stay as positive as you can! Good luck girl!
I just got diagnosed with TE yesterday because I noticed extreme hair shedding in the last couple days on the back/top of my scalp and it looks almost bald. I went to the dermatologist and she gave me injections into my scalp and told me it would help completely halt the hair fall I have to get them every 4 weeks. Has anyone heard of a dermatologist doing this for TE ??because when I researched it I’ve only found dermatologists doing it for alopecia not for TE so I am very confused and worried that it won’t stop and the stopping of the fallout is not that easy. Also I am 17 female and have not gone through any stress but have anxiety I am getting my blood checked today Someone please let me know if you have any information I am very confused and worried
Your video and enthusiasm made me smile tonight, so thank you for that and the hope. Hope is so important, and I think what you said about coming to terms with the TE is crucial. I had a horrible case of Covid at Thanksgiving/Christmas, was in hospital all that, and on top of it have had a horribly stressful last 8 months. My hair is probably at 30/40 left right now I would guess, it's hard to tell because there are a lot of grey hairs so it blends in with my scalp, as apposed to my black hair that's left. I work in a large store, and started wearing a wig a couple weeks ago, which I was incredibly scared about peoples remarks etc. about it. No one has said anything yet, I think they notice, but thankfully have spared me the trauma of additional worry about that. I am hoping I will be able to come back here in a few months and leave a positive comment about the progress and regrowth of my hair. Seeing a dermatologist so wish me luck, and good luck to the other viewers experiencing this also.
It's so great to see videos like this. I was diagnosed with te last year after stopping birth control. Dr told me it would fix itself, here I am a year later and it's back again...and worse this time. I go see my dr again about it, but I feel like your videos are going to give me more insight that she will (based on how vague she was the last visit). I've been feeling sorry for myself the last few weeks but watching this makes me want to take things into my own hands. So nice seeing someone on the other side of those awful condition.
GIRL! you can do it! just stay focused and positive, trust me... if it was caused from something like birth control I really believe it is fixable, and you should believe it to! Go to your doctor but always trust your gut and instinct - intuition is rarely wrong! so happy to have you here!!
I'd reconsider whether you would want to be a slave to chemicals when you start going grey. Thats when you body and needs more support to fight aging and healthy thick hair is better than dyed damaged hair that will naturally be getting thinner.
Was sick for two months with rsv and horrible ear infection. Was on four rounds on antibiotics and steroids and now this starts 😭 I know I need to get over it but I'm still struggling with that part
I did rice water masks for 45min before washing 1x per week. I only used shampoo I knew I wasn't sensitive to. I took silica, stinging nettles and b complex with an additional 500mg of b5. Absolutely avoid vitamin A. Make sure your skincare also is free of vitamin A. It shrinks hair follicles.
Just wanted to add check your vitamin and mineral level.Could be a deficiency that is causing it and always pray to God and be thankful for things that he has given you
1.get over it 2.focus on regrowth 3.focus on regrowth not fall 4.Diet and exercise 5.Focus on scalp health 6.Ditch chemical s 7.Document your progress 8.listen and trust whether it feels right 9.Talk to somebody what you are going through 10.Practice self love
Thats awesome that your hair grew back! i experienced the same thing in September- and ended up having to cut all my hair off- but luckily mine grew back in too :)
I stopped birth control in July 2019 and noticed hair loss in October 2019. I would say I had noticeable shedding until March 2020. BUT I almost forgot what my normal shedding amount was like since it has been so long so now I’m wondering if the amount I’m losing now is back to the way it was. Thank you so much for this video though, it really puts things into perspective for me and encourages me to stay positive 💗
⚠️⚠️⚠️My question is: does qnyone notice that the hair strand is also thinner than how it used to be? Will it be back to normal again? I'm very anxious and depressed because of this
Ehmm I had 4 years ago TE, now i'm again struggling with it. My hair grew back.. the strands became thicker I guess. The new hair is healthy and turns back to normal.
@@Aya-wz2pq I dont remember which month but you have to have patience. Atm I am also losing my hair and struggling with stress and questions. You are not alone , kisses
I have hair loss from intestinal damage from a antibiotic. I'm taking suppliments trying to heal my gut. Will my hair ever get back to normal and how long will it take? Please help...
I've been shedding for 2 years and the volume of my hair has immensely decreased. It started after I stopped Accutane and I'm turning 18 now and it still hasn't stopped.☹
Go to a dermatologist, take iron, biotin and multivitamins supplements , drink plenty of water and eat good nutrition. Avoid heat as much as possible so wash hair with cold water and let air dry. And if you want to straighten which I don’t recommend do it 1-2 a month hope this helps in some way❤️❤️
Im so sorry you have been going through this for so long! i really hope it gets better for you soon! i would see a doctor if you haven't already to rule out any vitamin deficiencies or hormone imbalances.
Thank you. Your vids really help me feel more calm about my hair falling out. Did your eyebrows shed too? In some ways the brow shedding is more upsetting to me than my head hair (although they both suck)!
Hey! my brows didn't shed... but i honestly don't know if thats possible cause they grow like crazy (i have to pluck them like every 4 days) - I can see how that could be upsetting, whenever i put vitamin e oil on my brows it makes them come in quickly, castor oil would be good too - cheap and worth a try at least! You could also use the benefit gimme brow or something similar to make the brows you do have thicker - its pretty easy to get off at the end of the day so you wouldn't have to do much pulling and cause extra fall out.
Hi Lauren, i have mine too, but mine started itching all over the scalp of my head then also itching in my p&@c hair then after a while i saw a lot of hair falling out. Did you experienced this too?
@@christianprimanda haha nope still falls out but I have still have a really good amount of hair because before I had tempted effluvium my hair was really thick
I’ve been going through this since I was 16, but they told me it was TE, my blood work came back fine no hormonal imbalance they said it’s stress. That problem is I am very easily stressed and so my hair continues to be in the same phase! Right now I am 27 and it’s the thinnest it has been on top. Terrified of seeing all the hair fall and my scalp. Trying to focus on the regrowth and not panic bc panicking is more stress which means more shedding. VISCOUS CYCLE, have to stop and accept it and focus on regrowth and not what people think when they look. I’ve been using hair divers to cover up in public but I assume clogging the pores is bad. How do i hide in the growing phases??
I am so sorry you are going through this and arent feeling your best. Totally understand the viscous cycle - i really struggled with this - but you are right in saying you have to accept it and focus on regrowth it is really the best thing you can do for yourself mentally. Hair powder really helped me with thin spots and using a pomade to flatten and hold down new short hairs down - i also tried styling in more of a messy look so it didn't look so crazy with the new hairs growing in. hope this helps! hang in there!!
did washing hairs more often work for you?? ...... my doctor prescribed 2% ketoconazole shampoo, to clear dermatitis, it usually promotes hairgrowth, but my hairs fall out considerably, when i use it...... I kinda feel scared to use that shampoo. It'll be interesting if using it more often reduces hairfall......
Washing my hair more often worked for me once my fallout had slowed a bit and i was working on regrowth more. I think it could have helped my entire condition and made the fallout process less intense in the beginning if i had been washing a bit more frequently. In the beginning I used a head and shoulders shampoo with tea tree in it and it slowed my fallout but I knew it wasn't good to use long term (why i went to organic) so i think you just need to find the shampoo for you and don't be afraid to try something different if you feel like what you're doing isn't working.
hey!! I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone in thinking that the ketoconazole shampoo you use is causing more hair to fall... my doc gave prescribed me the same thing and every time I use it I notice more hair fall out in the shower than when I use my normal shampoo. I'm currently looking into a more natural shampoo to use for my dermatitis hoping that it will help!
just to let you know that my doctor just yesterday prescribed me "Follihair" tablets 1 tablet daily, maybe as an over the counter measure to stop hair shedding. He said it might take 2-3 months to show difference. Hope it works!!
So glad I found your channel! I was dealing with a lot of TE last year, and thought I had gotten it under control with supplements and products (went to the doc, no underlying health issues). But just recently it has started again and even worse than last year. And I'm starting from a worse place because I was already about 50% thinner than before all of this since my hair hadn't grown all back. I have another appointment with m doc to see what's going on. I also noticed there was no new growth the past two months (and my existing hairs stopped growing). That worries me even more because if it's not growing in, how will it grow back?! Thank you for your videos, you are right that it helps to just talk about it and hear others going through the same things too.
Gotta start with tip #1 I was just diagnosed with TE today. I’ve drenched the top of my scalp in dry shampoo with tint and it’s gotten increasingly worse since I started using that product. I just started my multi vitamin a couple of days ago. This process will be a long one apparently but I truly do need to find a way to “get over” my hair loss 😞 I’m working on it
One of the worst things I've had happen is everyone telling me it isn't happening. Both my mom and sister have naturally thin hair and I've always had super thick hair. They just denied it, as did my hairdresser until it got really bad. That was 7 years ago or so. About 3/4 of my hair regrew, but now it's happening again. It's super frustrating. Just found out there is something called idiopathic chronic telogen effluvium, which is what I have. Super. It goes with my chronic idiopathic hives for no reason.
So sorry this is happening to you again! I totally agree it is frustrating when people say nothing is happening... its like "umm please don't make me feel crazy like i am seeing something that isn't there" hope this gets better for you soon!
I can so relate to this. I'm going through my 3rd TE now. 1st time happened 5 yrs ago after a major breakup. 2nd time, 2 yrs later, trigger still unknown. The derm then said sometimes the hair cycle got disrupted after the 1st TE and so might just happened a few more times till the cycle sort of normalised itself. Early this year the 3rd TE happened, trigger again unknown but my current derm narrowed it down to probably the covid vaccination I took in Nov last year. Honestly, i dont know what to believe or do anymore. The TE is still ongoing and just because i'm unfortunately "experienced" does not make the process any less distressing. 😭
I have telogen effluvium my hair sheds like crazy it's the worst thing it ever happened to me i don't want to see anyome i don't want to go out for a walk i forgot all my dreams all my hopes it never stops i feel depressed
Hello. I am going through the same thing for 1 and a half year. My hair is literally everywhere around the house, just not on my head. My part is getting wider. Hope we all find the cure soon!
I have one question that in little shedding and little growth stage, hair strap comes with a white bulb at the end ???? And for how long it takes to go to intense growth stage???
I had covid in January and within the last two weeks I started noticing crazy shedding. I basically self diagnosed myself with this before seeing my dermatologist. The patience you need for this is awful! How do I wash my hair without scrubbing my scalp????
Sometimes it's a high androgen problem. Hormonal balance and mental health is key. Sometimes having people in your life that stresses you out is unavoidable, but it's very important to not let them get to you for more than just your hair health.
Does coloring hair affect TE? I’m a lighter brunette going darker before vacation. I’m leery because my hair fall has been substantial. Does anyone have advice?
Hello, Lauren. My hair is shedding a lot and it's bothering me. I've tried a lot of treatments but nothing seems to be working still have the same problem 😭
I would love to know more about the healthy-diet you adopted and what supplements you took! I have lot about 40% of my hair density due to my hair shedding and thinning and it’s been disheartening. Your video helped me to feel like there’s still hope that I can get my hair back to normal.
this has happened to me three times in my life, still struggling every time i have a major life stressor, but once the shedding stops it starts to get better.
Im taking pictures of my scalp since January. Now its october . Im even more depressed after comparing my January and September pictures. Ive lost 30% of my hair.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, but still have (or had) thick hair until I began the medication Leflonomide. I started taking it in late June, and in August my hair began shedding, and falling out in clumps in the shower. 😢 In October I said "Fuck this shit" and discontinued the medication. It's been about 5-6 weeks since I've been off the medication, but the excessive shedding/hairloss when washing continues. I'm trying so hard to be positive (at least it's not patchy, bald spots, etc) but it's scary. I am desperately hoping to be over the excessive shedding by the end of this year, or sooner. Hope everyone is doing okay. Hugs. ❤
I watched this 7 months ago when my TE started. Now, believe it or not, my hair is back to it’s normal density and I stopped shedding! There is hope people!!!!
Sure gave me some hope. Thanks 😀

Currently suffering from this after having COVID a few months ago... thank you for the tips. Still working on that first step
Wow! Me too 😢 I work in a hospital and my whole unit was converted into a “covid unit”. Got Sick end of March and today I’ve lost about 50% of my hair, which is already thin and fine so now idk how to hide it. I’ve been very depressed and trying to make the best of it. It’s hard. 1st step is the hardest but helps the most!
Me too.. its been 2 years since i have started losing a lot of my hair. Its depressing but i know theres hope for us
It will just take time
It's comforting to know that we're not alone.
PS. You can always get a wig while it's in this dormant stage...just do what makes YOU feel better!
Thank you for your wonderful hopeful message💕
I had a perforated colon in January which necessitated 2 surgeries. After the 2nd one I started TE. I’m starting to get regrowth but am anxious every time I wash my hair. My shower stopped up and we got a whole ponytail worth of hair out. I wash every 3 days now. Hope that is frequent enough. My surgeon wasn’t familiar with surgery related TE so I took her some information. She said it happened to her during her residency. Must be pretty common for various reasons.
Thankyou very much for giving me a hope that the hair will grow back❤️❤️
I needed to hear the “get over it part.”
Me too
me too. ive had TE for well over a year and I have been obsessing about it every waking moment.
Unreal Productions Hey! My birth control made all my hair fall out! As well as my ptsd !,
How long did it take for shedding to stop?
Hey do you think you can be on birth control for over 10 years and it be a trigger for TE? Or more likely something else more recent right?
@@twomushrooms6155 definitely. That was my trigger the first time .

Self love is key but its really hard for a lot of people I think - including myself!

How are you now ? Xx
I am looking into the correlation - i successfully transitioned off birth control after 12 years - something you would be interested in hearing about?
omg the dry shampoo tip... i’m always spraying dry shampoo bc i’m scared to wash my hair in the case of falling out. i never knew this could be having a negative effect on my hair growth!
I had covid in November and I just started having severe hair loss. Clump and clumps of hair falling out it was such a scary feeling till this day but I can take a breather knowing im not the only one going through this.

@@cynthiasalazar2691 did it stop naturally or did u put something on ur hair?
I pray for y’all and send you guys love ❤
is ur hair fine now ?
They’re greatly appreciated 😊
Much love and healing to everyone!
Thank you! Subscribed.
So glad you found me - hope this gets better for you soon! Hang in there - you got this!
Hey howz ur shedding now?? Did it stopped??
Garlic is so bad literally i used it and my hairs was so rough bcos of it and started falling out now it's fine
I had TE last year I was only 11 I wish I saw this video earlier it would of gave me inspiration to genuinely better I can now say that I’m healthy now!
I’m currently kinda coming out of shedding era, from March to June/July. My hair was really long and I never experienced so much hair loss. Since I cut it really stopped the shedding, but I feel so impatient and I never got diagnosed, even tho I see many baby hairs growing I’m quite nervous it won’t have the same volume as before 😢
How is your hair now? Has it recovered ?
i’m a bit late but i had an eating disorder for about 4-5 months, i’m about a month into recovery right now and my hair is shedding non stop! i raised my calories to about 2000 and started taking vitamins, but seeing all these comments of people saying their hair didn’t grow back is kinda making me lose hope. i just want my hair back
The longer you wait, the lesser the chance. Your body does need time to adjust. The shedding time takes about 3 months in general

Even though my doctor said clearly that I have TE and I have every single symptoms of TE, the only thing that troubles me is that I have fine thin hair, due to genetics...
Has it stopped yet? My hair started falling in january but its still happening.
PLEASE REPLY SUSAN! Is it ok now?
How’s your hair now)
I lost alot of weight recently doing low carb but hair was coming out while washing before the weight loss and now I can see my scalp on top more than I ever could and it's all I think about I'm consciously trying not to tonight.
Currently going through this, definitely needed to hear step one. What shampoo and conditioner did you use/recommend(:?
I lost a lot of weight during quarantine and I have been shedding 200 strands a day for months to the point where when I brush my fingers through my hair you can see soooooo much scalp and I’m only 18😩 it’s even worse because I use to have such thick hair I was known for it and it was my fav feature of myself 😞
Exactly the same with me.
same with me and i almost tried everything still no change, did you solve the problem? if you did, then how???
@@missfraser9828 it just started to slow down about a month ago and I think it’s mainly due to me changing my diet and eating way more calories and nutrients everyday. Instead of one meal I eat three now I had really bad anxiety and I was super depressed so I didn’t eat much. I also use natural hair brands and I try to control my stress levels. I also take iron pills everyday and I think that made a big difference make sure u get a lot of iron and vitamin b12
How long have you been shedding for?
Ryan , I had covid mid August and I developed hair fall in first week of October. Still falling. I pray it stops soon.

Were you able to fix it?
One more thing I just gotta say I live that you are talking about this because not everyone knows what TE is. So thank you 😊

:) ty ty
My personal recovery diet:
A lack of proteins, iron, and healthy fats are very big factors contributing towards TE. I have been struggling with TE for 2.5 years now. I too have baby hairs (thin strands of hair) and hence I feel I need to take care of my hair more than an average human being. I do these things:-
1) Have a big bowl of lentil soup (daal), an Indian recipe with spinach/kale and a spoon of ghee along with lunch and dinner.
2) Take Omega-3 tablets. Nature's bounty product.
3) I try to eat fewer carbs (not zero carbs as I am not on a keto diet)
4) I definitely eat colorful veggies with my lunch and dinner. Around 3 different colors. The big bowl of daal covers my protein requirements also keeping it vegan
5) I have oatmeal for breakfast and try to include as many nuts (walnuts and almonds) and seeds as possible (chia, ground flaxseeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin).
I am hair fall free currently and hopefully, it will stay a same.
tanvi priya You had it for 2.5 years straight?
@@DanielRuiz-lj6yr It wasn't a regular hair-fall. Everytime I would restrict my diet even a little not, it would start and go on for 3 months.
Did you have visible scalp?

She also told me it could be TE.
i’m literally 15 years old and this is happening to me because of how much stress i go through, and i don’t know what to do so i’m watching this video, i just started shedding and i’m so scared and confused idk what to do or really to start and i have no one to talk to. i feel like i’m gonna be mocked and idk im just really stressing about it
I know it's hard but we have to keep it together
I started shedding like crazy about six months ago... and all the sudden I saw some re growth going on about 2 months ago, but now for this past week I’ve shed more than usual.:( honestly don’t know what to do.
you will have times with more intense shedding, that freaked me out in the beginning too but you just have to get an idea of whats "normal" and whats "excess" - my biggest advice is to try to keep up with what was working and try to stay as positive as you can! Good luck girl!
I'm suffering now🥲
My hair is falling like crazy and It's broke me inside😭
I'm depressed 😭
I'm so sorry to hear that! Stay positive - you've got this!
Also I am 17 female and have not gone through any stress but have anxiety I am getting my blood checked today Someone please let me know if you have any information
I am very confused and worried
Hey , Courtney. Hows your hair now?
Biotin shampoo with dht blocker. Wash more...keep the follicles clean. It helps!!!
Just wanted to add check your vitamin and mineral level.Could be a deficiency that is causing it and always pray to God and be thankful for things that he has given you
1.get over it
2.focus on regrowth
3.focus on regrowth not fall
4.Diet and exercise
5.Focus on scalp health
6.Ditch chemical s
7.Document your progress
8.listen and trust whether it feels right
9.Talk to somebody what you are going through
10.Practice self love
Thats awesome that your hair grew back! i experienced the same thing in September- and ended up having to cut all my hair off- but luckily mine grew back in too :)
How much time did it take in total
Favorite tip.. Focus on regrowth rather than fallout😢
@@storyofmirthe2745 how long did ur TE last for? And what was ur trigger

@@laylastarling9821 has ur shedding stop
Update pls
Dianne Andrade did hair fall out on your genitals and eyebrows and feel itchy ?
Just by watching your video and the way you talk, half of my stress has come down and i am feeling relaxed 😊
Glad I could help!
I’ve been suffering from this since 2018 and it has never stoped since then😢
ur hair stopped falling??
@@FunnyVideos-nj2np nope it hasn’t stopped
Has it stopped falling by now?
How are things now ??
did washing hairs more often work for you?? ...... my doctor prescribed 2% ketoconazole shampoo, to clear dermatitis, it usually promotes hairgrowth, but my hairs fall out considerably, when i use it......
Morgan Veller how is your hair now??
How are you now?
Hello.. Am from India.. Plz try curry leaves hair mask for severe hair fall and also drink carrot juice everyday for 2 months.. Trust me it wrks..
Thanks for sharing!!
I'm so sorry you're going thru this - i really hope it gets better for you soon. Try to keep your head up and be as positive as possible!
Lol it grows back you need to chill
I have one question that in little shedding and little growth stage, hair strap comes with a white bulb at the end ???? And for how long it takes to go to intense growth stage???
yes there were white bulbs - it is different for everyone mine took a long time unfortunately check out the growth in phases video for more info.
Your video helped me to feel like there’s still hope that I can get my hair back to normal.
is your hair ok now ?
Update?
Someone just shared your video and it really hit home for me. Thank you!
this has happened to me three times in my life, still struggling every time i have a major life stressor, but once the shedding stops it starts to get better.
How long did it take for the shedding to stop and how long did it take to see new hair growth?
I shed more than 150 hair in a day,,, I have also anxiety about it,, so it's telogen effluvium ?
Is it stopping
Im taking pictures of my scalp since January.
Now its october .
Im even more depressed after comparing my January and September pictures.
Ive lost 30% of my hair.
I'm also suffering from this because of birthcontrol pills please tell me the solution please I'm emotionally stressed
For how long did you take birth control pills?

@Xdark_dreamsX what do I do if I'm the one thing that is truly causing me stress, cant go away and no one is helping?
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, but still have (or had) thick hair until I began the medication Leflonomide.
I started taking it in late June, and in August my hair began shedding, and falling out in clumps in the shower. 😢
In October I said "Fuck this shit" and discontinued the medication.
Hugs. ❤
