I experienced COVID that lasted a good 10 days. At first, I believed I was fine but I began to lose more hair than normal. After doing some research, I've come to realize it’s from the stress my body had during that time and also due to the shampoo that I was using. So I began doing meditation, yoga everyday and changed my shampoo and conditioner to littleextraa cooconion anti hair fall kit. And today I don't face any hair fall.
Thank you for this video! I feel so much better.

Tip to de-stress: make sure you are getting 8 hours of sleep
That was the leading cause of my hair thining: I would stay up gaming late at night, sleeping 3 to 4 hours a night and trying to catch up on sleep on my weekends off. It took 2 weeks but as soon as I abstained from my addiction and started training and sleeping 8 to 10 hours a night again consistently my hair grew back to its normal thickness.
Watch your caffeine consumption too: it blocks your body's ability to process the chemical element selenium responsible for skin, hair and nail health. Probably best to quit caffeine too

    • @oreo598
      @oreo598 3 года назад +40

I had the exact same issue, i would game or go on twitch for 8-10 hours a day. I had to stop this because i wanted to paint my room, had to disconnect all entertainment appliances to my room, because of me being a noob at painting it is taking forever me to paint my walls, at least this giving me 8 hours of sleep now 😂 😂and now i am noticing in my receded area, baby hair coming out!

My hair had started falling out like crazy. I mean, it was everywhere, all the time, and it filled the drain more than I had ever seen! For me, two things stopped my hair falling out. One, I stopped using Selsun Blue with selenium. Boom. Within about a week, hair stopped falling out. (I had read that the selenium could cause hair to fall out excessively, and in my case, it seems that was the problem. Funny, I was only using it because I did really like how it made my hair itself do, not because I had dandruff or dry scalp.) And second, I started 2000 mg fish oil daily, and I soon began to grow lots of new baby hair around my hairline. My hair does not seem thicker, but it has stopped getting thinner. However, by starting the two interventions at the same time, I have no way to determine if stopping the old shampoo, or starting the fish oil, or both together, is the reason my hair stopped falling out.

There isn’t a specific time to take them but it’d be easier to do in the morning get it out the way for the day.
Do be mindful that some vitamins have to be taken with food. Most biotin vitamins I’ve come across need to be taken with food. If it’s a multi vitamin most likely not. Also, certain vitamins can’t be taken with certain drinks (acidic drinks not liquor lol) or there are some that work better with a certain drink.

I've got a question Dr Youn. Recently, I saw a video of a girl having alopecia and her journey on growing her hair back. One of the things she explained was applying rosemary oil with some kind of base oil but she didn't just apply the oil. She said that she would use a derma roller on her scalp and then going in with the oil. At first my reaction was "yikes 😱😱" because I could imagine the pain but I also wonder if there's any side effect to derma rolling your scalp. I have watched many videos of people doing it and they usually have great things to say about that method. What is your opinion on this???

    • @motherofthreeb6337

I use Nutrafol, bondiboost growth system which they also offer procapil for hair growth and my hair was thinning like crazy and now it’s thick as it was when I was a teen and finally growing again. My issues major stress, bleaching hair, I did a strict keto diet, and washed 2-3 times a week. I also have a family history of thinning hair. I cut back to bleaching only every 10 weeks washing my hair only once a week and adding the things above it took about 6 months to get where I am now. I do believe the vitamins helped a lot and using more natural shampoo’s.

@@alexaluma6104 I normally just use agadir oil it’s a little bit heavy and not everyone likes that but it seals my ends and leaves my hair soft. You could also try a co-wash it’s a mix of shampoo and conditioner and it’s easier on the hair. I personally don’t use Iron pills but I have read lots about iron deficiency and hair loss but my problems seems to be more stress related. Also update my hair is still getting thicker and growing but if I miss the Nutrafol for more than a week my hair loss will go from those random hairs to slowly increasing in loss. This may be due to probiotics in mine that are supposed to help with stress and gut health.

I have always said there’s always someone worse off than me, so I’ve not shed a tear over my alopecia.
I’m going to try vitamin D as I have occasionally been quite low on this after blood tests. Also I will try Rosemary oil, and then just hope for the best. I’m not under any illusion though, as I know this kind of alopecia has no cure, but I’ll never stop trying. xx

Maybe part of the solution is acceptance and normalizing it. Society focuses on thick (long) hair so much that even people with thin hair feel less. I’d love to walk around with a shaved head but I know I’ll get too many looks so I’ll have to opt for a wig-even on the hottest most humid days

VERY IMPORTANT ABOUT ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL:
NEVER APPLY IT STRAIGHT TO YOUR SCALP! always use diluted in a carrier oil, between 1-2%.
a good oil for hair is coconut or castor oil (this one also helps with hair growth). and massage the scalp.

My hair was falling and grew back thin, my nails were brittle and my skin dry and itchy af. After introducing poultry, meat and butter back to my diet, also Omega3, everything got better. Even my hairdresser mentioned that my hair felt thicker. Suitable diet is a good solution, but it's not a fast one. Yamben, in case he doesnt have time to reply. He sells products on his website but I am not sure what he carries. I haven't bought anything yet. If you are a teen with combo skin, that can be tricky. Be sure to clean your face daily and then use a toner, especially important in the oily areas. There are lots of amazing exfoliation products. My son uses mild peels to keep the oil under control and for acne and pores. There is a good salicylic peel/mask by the Ordinary and it is affordable. They also sell a stronger one - their aha bha peel and it is quite incredible for addressing multiple skin issues. This is just my personal opinion on approaching these issues. Maybe others here will have some insight.

You can try scar creams like Cicatricure sold at Walgreens or other scar creams that are the generic store brand. I've looked into them and the active ingredient is onion, which now writing this perhaps even rubbing some onion could be beneficial, obviously there's the unpleasant smell but I've put onion juice in my hair because it's also really good for hair growth and it's not that bad. Definitely only do so when you are able to spend the day at home. Maybe you may just want to avoid the messiness and smell all together and just buy one of the ointments. I have used the generic store brand and have been happy with the results. Good luck to you and everyone else! :)

Normally I don't comment but i want to share my story about hair fall and my current journey of curing it my height is 5'1 n weight is 37Kg mostly underweight n I have been in depression for almost 2 years. When i was small I had very thick n long hair i used to apply ton of pure coconut oil they used reach lil bit below my butt later on coz of study pressure I started having intense amount of hair fall my doc told me it was boz of bacteria (dk which bacteria) she told me to stop using any oil on my head n so I stopped using and advised me to cut it i cut it upto my chest (regretted tht a lil bit coz i never had short hair before ) she gave me a serum to apply ( I have a very weird hairline I have very small hair in the front so I used to apply oil to my hair so that they won't stick out, I used that serum like an oil n they don't use to stick out which was good I never actually paid attention to the hair growth coz I had lost the hope that they would grow my friend started seeing the changes in my hair n she was like "wow your hair are growing" I was shocked but later on I stopped using the serum coz I still had hairfall so my thinking was like what's the point of growing hair when there is still hair fall so i decided to take care of hair fall first (stopping the hair serum was the worse decision i ever made) i wanted to see the doc but coz of my studies i couldnt n then this corona thing happened so in quarantine I tried DIY hair oils to stop the hair fall but it didnt work, bought wow onion oil products they also didn't work for me, I didn't had dandruff before now it became a serious problem for me dandruff on my scalp were so painful I used to scratch my head like crazy n then it would go red dandruff made my hair fall worse then I decided to meet my old doc but coz of corona she didn't open her clinic so I visited Another doc literally the first thing she said to me was Ur UNDERWEIGHT ( I get really annoyed when they say this m trying to gain weight but being lactose intolerance is no joke u can have limited amount of food) I have calcium deficiency but being LI I can't have milk she didn't even ask about my conditions n prescribed me calcium n iron tablets for nutrients n a shampoo for my dandruff n a hair serum for hair growth
    Well grow hair serum
    Ketoconazole shampoo Keraglo-AD
    Hematinic capsule Dexorange
    Xytin Forte
I have been taking this meds been 7 days ( since they r lil bit high dose for me I got my period twice a month n m having my exams so I stopped taking them but I'll take them again once m done with my exam but this time I'll take it on alternate days (THE SHAMPOO really worked I don't have dandruff now my hair fall rate has decreased to an extent as long as I don't take stress I'll be okay
M Sharing this coz there might many of you who are facing similar situation as me try to find out y ur having hair fall in my case it was dandruff in ur case it might overuse of oil or deficiency of nutrients or other stuff m not a doc lastly all the best for ur hair journey btw m still underweight
