@danielleLaw007 appreciate the feedback. Thanks for the support, i know how difficult it can be when people are starting out so got to keep to the point
I'm about to spray 25m of lollipop fencing with the erbeur 600 from screwfix using ronseal. Can you recommend a spray tip for that combo - wondering if I can get away with the 517 or go for the 310 you recommend for woodwork? Thanks!
@TheReelIsle you can use it yes, it will obviously let more paint out. But are you going to back brush the paint into the timber? It is advised on rough sawn timber. If thats the case you could use the 517 and have pressure low and not be bothered about the nice fan pattern as youd be bak brushing it in. You yes buy a new guard and maybe a 412 or something like that. A 310 would also work. You just need to work out how wide youd want to spray, while also tryinh to avoid gusty wind
@@sprayaholic Thanks again. Nope didn't plan on back brushing but we can certainly do so! I assume it's more important to do that on the rougher edges. I'll take a look at a suitable replacement guard if a 412 may be more suitable. Tritech tip and guard should be fine with the Erbeur? Otherwise happy to go Graco
Hi mate. I've watched a couple of your videos, very interesting. I'm looking for a budget airless sprayer that would work ok with a acrylic eggshell paint. Hoping to spray walls, ceilings, skirts and architraves. I'm a DIYer looking to paint a two bed bungalow. What would you recommend please?
@@Sean-vz1ks thanks 🙌 I usually use a 110fflp but it can throw a lot of paint out as its a small narrow fan. Sometimes a 210 is easier to handle but alot more waste and over spray. A 108 is also good slightly slower but youd need to have well filtered paint or it would block alot
Hi mate, so if I’m using a rac x guard and ltx 517 and wanted to swap to a fflp tip I just make sure I use the seal that came with the fflp? Is it me or do Graco make this more complicated than it needs to be.
@user-mf1lz4bt7w haha i guess. They just bring new stuff out and it supersedes the previous gear. Ye if you want to use LP or FFLP you need to use the metal seat that has the small hole, the same one thats in their own packets. If youd been using a blue tip in the guard the hole would be the bigger one so to use an fflp or lp you would have to swap the seat out yes
Was just looking at picking up the erbauer paint sprayer from Screwfix, and then not sure to go Graco and Tritech. You actually mention for me to check this vid for more info. This vid says the graco tips might not do as well for walls and ceilings as maybe tritech. So not sure what way to go now 😮 Graco RACX guard. Plus a 310 (for woodwork). (Is it a 7/8inch guard and tip I need for the erbauer?) also can I put the 517 tip I get in with the erbauer to the Graco guard or do I need a separate tip from Graco? Or Tritech contractor pro guard and then both their version of a 517 and 310 ? Thanks mate!
@chrisg3726 it gets confusing as you move through to bigger units. Basically what im trying to say with the Erbauer is that because its got less power/output compared to some of the bigger more professional units. Using graco low pressure or fflp tips allow you to spray at abit lower pressure or not run the machine on max so it sprays paints. So more ideal when you've not got the extra power as if you cant get a nice spray fan your other option is to thin the paint down. The 517 it comes with is fine for walls and ceilings. But you could get a 310 and 517 and the blue rac x guard. Yes its a 7/8 thread and fits the gun. When you use more powerful units they can spray thicker materials abit easier, so you can spray more with less thinning. Although the max pressure is 3300psi the litres per minute are low compared to more professional units. Ha hopefully that helps answer the question. In short use the graco low pressure on the Erbauer is my advice. If youre after a professional unit i often sell refurbished units you can message me on Instagram if interested, i sell them to my followers so they know theyre getting a fully working unit when they cant afford new
@@sprayaholic this is ace thank you. I think I’ll get the erbauer and graco racx guard plus a 310. I guess I’ll stick to the 517 that the erbauer comes with. Sometimes it's a nightmare, but my first port of call would be to filter the paint into a seperate bucket with a kitchen siv I usually use
@jessehamlett3068 it depends on your machine. Maybe a 311 would shoot nicer than the fine finish ones. Depends how wide you need the fan. And what youre painting Alot is trial and error and personal preference. Alot depends on the paint consistency and also temperatures. The thinner or warmer your climate is, the nice you'll get it to spray out the can
