the flowmaster 40s are basically a baffled can so they are loud and raspy on the vq for sure. You could try the vibrant streetpower mufflers, they are straight through so perform very well, but they do great at absorbing rasp. Otherwise check out my SCS Custom Catback video.

I've heard mixed reviews. It's a little raspy. Some people have had fitment issues. If you plan to do a full catback eventually, I wouldn't waste your time with an axelback. Just have a shop cut your muffler off. It really actually doesn't sound that bad, and its a way cheaper temporary solution.

Hey brother awesome videos as always. Very informative. Let me know your opinion on the MBRP exhaust. I personally have it paired to Megan LDP. According to a couple of review it gives excellent power and torque. For me the car did run faster in the 1/8th from 8.3 to 7.99. I believe I could probably go faster by improving my driver mod. Running on Jb4 currently so not a full tune. FYI my set up drones between 2700 to 3200 rpm at partial throttle however for the price I personally find it reasonable inconveniences.
Marcus Falden I honestly don’t know much about the MBRP exhaust. It looks like a decent setup. I could see where you would get drone with that system with just only a couple of resonators, but the design is nice overall. A full tune would get you some nice improvement over the jb4.

Hey bro the guy I bought my g37 had the mufflers deleted and I’m getting test pies done next week…should I save up and buy a full catback or should I just find some aftermarket mufflers or keep the deleted muffler?
I would just get a full custom catback. If you’re doing test pipes the car will benefit from the larger exhaust
If I’m adding resonated test pipes, resonated y pipes and a muffler. Would it be bad to delete my resonators? Mine are damaged And may just have them taken out..
It’s not bad to take the old ones out. New, bigger ones will tone rasp down.
Damn you’re at 14k subs after a year! Good stuff
Well it’s been 2.5 years lol but yeah just trying To keep growing!
Can anyone tell me what should I do after I do muffler and res delete I’m installing a Megan racing y pipe on my g37 sedan but after tha I don’t know what else to buy🥺😫
Don’t do a resonator delete. Sounds terrible.
Currently have a muffler delete and am looking towards getting some test pipes. Worth getting without a tune? The closest Ecutek tuner is 4 hours away 😭 what's the best test pipe in your opinion?
There are a ton of decent test pipes out there. No need to spend a ton of money, but don’t get Megan.
Not worth doing without a tune. The car won’t run to its fullest potential and you get a CEL.
I got test pipes without tune right now i do feel
The difference at freeways speeds but getting a tune soon
What do you think about rev 9 axle back + motordyne artpipes + everything else stock lmk
Sounds like a decent combo.
I actually go to Inman muffler as well and so far, they've been the best shop in the area.
Great shop!
Motordyne exhaust?!
Is bad???
Instead of replicating your setup. I actually bought the Invidia Gemini catback exhaust. Will bolt it on this weekend.
Cool. Let us know how it sounds.
I just got the same exhaust put on this week. So far awesome no drone quiet when Crusin and opens up when you slam the gas.
is a Motordyne shockwave exhaust with Motordyne advance resonace tuning (ART) test pipes and Z1 motors cold air intake a good combination on a infiniti G37 sedan maybe between the years 2013 or 2012 a good decision?? anybody know? i dont wanna fuck up and sound like a nascar on the highway lmao
Yes that’s one if the better sounding exhausts
Yes that’s one if the better sounding exhausts.
I did resonator delete and muffler delete and Cold air intake, it sound amazing.... Muffler delete was quite
Glad you like it! Everyone has different tastes!
facts bro
Just installed test pipes and don’t have mufflers 💀💀
Raspy!
Did a resonator delete on my G today! I truly love it imo
As long as you like it, that’s all that matters!
Do you mean the two mufflers or the resonator, the piece in the middle?
@@jeanca0426 he took the piece in the middle out those are the resonators .I just did a muffler delete nd put some blue flame tips nd it sounds nice I kept my resonators
What exhaust can I get on my 3.7 that doesn’t decrease anything
check out my exhaust videos
Ok so i have a g37 sedan with long tube headers catted test pipes 2" back had flowmaster series 40's that was loud & rasppy asf now im looking for a good universal muffler. Any suggestions?
the flowmaster 40s are basically a baffled can so they are loud and raspy on the vq for sure. You could try the vibrant streetpower mufflers, they are straight through so perform very well, but they do great at absorbing rasp. Otherwise check out my SCS Custom Catback video.
i have a Q50 muffler delete worth it? power wise? and should i put k&n filters in to help? or something else? any help would be helpful thanks
Muffler delete will not help with performance at all. In fact, some notice a loss in torque with a muffler delete. Drop in filters will help with throttle response but go with aFe dry filters not K&N
see i like being extremely loud tomei test pipes plus full staight pipe
It gets annoying being that loud. And louder is not always better, especially with the VQ which I am sure you know is very raspy
yea lol it’s just a temporary setup rn just stock cats with straight pipe probably gonna go with tomei tho still looking around to see
I know im a year late, but I was wondering what your opinion was on the Rev9 Axleback Exhaust. I am on a budget and dont have over 1k to spend right now. Would you wait?
I've heard mixed reviews. It's a little raspy. Some people have had fitment issues. If you plan to do a full catback eventually, I wouldn't waste your time with an axelback. Just have a shop cut your muffler off. It really actually doesn't sound that bad, and its a way cheaper temporary solution.
@@SpeedCultureStudios Thank you very much.
Hey so I finally go my 3.7 back I was thinking about getting a new exhaust what would u think would be the best for me thanks, also can u give me like a lot of options I’m curious what’s out there?
Easiest way is just to google it man. There are so many different options and combinations. Everything will sound pretty good with factory cats, but if you go with test pipes, make sure whatever system you get has some nice resonators.
is muff delete, 12 in vibrant resonaters , resonated tp soon
Are you asking or telling?
Lol to some this may be music to our ears 👂
To some, yes lol
Aight Quick question so I did a muffler delete and added magnaflow resonators and it sounds amazing it has that tone and I wanna make it louder and pop I was thinking bout either getting a regular z1 test pipes or a resonated test pipe or get headers do you have any advice.
Resonated test pipes if you don’t mind not being street legal. You’ll want more than just magnaflow resonators too. It’ll get super raspy
@@SpeedCultureStudios what do you think about resonated muffler delete 2.5 inch, 2.5 inch resonated test pipe, with stock resonators still in place?
@@jockbad If you don’t mind a ton of rasp it would be a high flowing setup. Testbpipes unlessh so much rasp in the VQ it’s crazy and just a couple of resonators are not going to handle it unfortunately
@@SpeedCultureStudios well it would be 6 resonators total, the stock ones, the ones on the test pipe and the ones that were put in place of the mufflers
@@SpeedCultureStudios but if it’s to much I’ll add a couple more 🤣
what do you suggest to do for a custom exhaust. i was thinking Y-pipe, 2.5 catback and custom test pipes. what do you think?
I have several custom exhaust videos
(Q50S 3.7) - I had a muffler/res delete with 2.5 Burnt tips and a Y pipe done at the shop and I have been very content. I can see what you mean by raspy but I think the Y pipe gave it a deeper tone totally worth it.
I noticed a lower town with a y pipe as well but if doing a custom setup, I’d get rid of the y pipe
@@SpeedCultureStudios Hey man love all your vids!! been wanting you to answer this question. i want to get a custom exhaust for my g37 sedan. looking for good sound and performance before i tune it. price is not a worry for me. what exactly should i do for the best sound?
@@SpeedCultureStudios what do you think are some good resonators to purchase if you did end up doing the delete?
What are your thoughts on vibrant reso's + muffler delete, should I also get test pipes? Or maybe a y-pipe or x-pipe.
Vibrant resonators with muffler delete and stock cats will sound fine. If you install test pipes, it will sound horrible.
@@SpeedCultureStudios im getting this tomorrow I already have resonated test pipes muffler delete and tomorrow im adding vibrant resonators and later some catback exhaust
Horrendous 😂6:12
What about aftermarket resonators with stock mufflers? I just bought a q50s clean as helll. I want some motor sound but not hella loud. One of my buddy's has a stillen exhaust and it's quiet as heck but you can still hear it
Stock muffler really cuts it down. Simple muffler delete is good.
@@SpeedCultureStudios I had a g37 couple and I did a muffler delete on it and it was loud I want it half that noise or 75% of that noise quiet. Just a little vroom from the motor is enough for me
Is the rev 9 axle back an ok unit
Yes. Several people have it. Might have to make adjustments for proper fit.
thanks man good to have your knowledge. Let me know what's next for inexpensive power so far just afe drop ins and axle back
Rev9 is great I have it on mine!
Out so what is the best stuff to buy??
Check out my SCS custom catback video!
Doesn’t the ark grip for q50, the red sport one not have resonators? I installed mine for my q50 a few weeks ago I love it(I have the 3.7 q50)
Hey how about a catalytic converter delete? Please help
It's called test pipes. Adding test pipes is very common, but you need a tune.
Hi mate nice work keep on... I have g37 coupe 2008 what can I do to make it sounds better? Something simple not looking for tomuch
Muffler delete is cheapest and easiest!
@@SpeedCultureStudios no pipes needed? Sorry I'm know mate
@@hassanameen2774 not for a muffler delete. A shop will cut the muffler off and add some pipe in with your stock tips-or new tips if you buy some.
Has anyone mentioned you kinda look like Tom Welling?
Nope. Never heard that or heard of him
what size of after market mufflers should i get? planning on getting flowmaster flow fx
Depends on what else you have. Check out my custom catback video for ideas
@@SpeedCultureStudios i’m only doing a muffler delete and don’t know what size i need
I have a q60 red sport I need advise on muffler should I buy from infinity
I wouldn’t buy any muffler from Infiniti.
Infiniti Q70L 3.7, resonator delete, Infiniti sports exhaust, Stillen Generation 2 intake..... actually sounds good on mine.
The sports exhaust helps!
So I need a little help. After adding Berk HFC + Invidia CBE + resonators, it tone down the exhaust quite a bit, but the rasp is there. How do I completely rid of it?
What resonators do you have and how big are they?
@@SpeedCultureStudios So I bought the Ultra Vibrant Resonators 2.5
Just did a resonator delete and put a glass pack muffler in oops
Haha let me know how it sounds.
Full Megan racing? Res test pipes, y pipe and axle back
Are you asking me if a full megan setup is good?
@@SpeedCultureStudios yea
@@SpeedCultureStudios what you think?
Any exhaust systems you suggest?!, ayyye you live in SC, I’m in NC lol
I always prefer custom setups.
I have a 2013 g37x and I just got a muffler delete with new resonators and tips with the resonators moved to the end up to the butt of the tips and 2.5 inch pipes. One shop told me 2.5 is too big and will lose power and waste more gas, is that true?
2.5 is the largest you should go. Without a tune, you will lose torque with a 2.5” system.
Speed Culture Studios does the location of the resonators make a difference and will I notice the change in torque?
islom rustamov Location of the resonators will make a difference in tone only. They will have no impact on power. Resonators are wide open and do not restrict flow.
What is a good axle back brand for a g37 coupe? And with the axel back would I need a tune? I’m trying to just swap out the muffler for a little more sound that’s really it. Nothing crazy
Don’t buy an axleback. Just do the muffler delete. No tune needed
@@SpeedCultureStudios won’t the drone be crazy with no muffler?
@@crunko9613 no there is almost no drone with a muffler delete. Catalytic converters are very strong mufflers
@@SpeedCultureStudios thank you!!
I'm running AMS red alpha intakes, z1 full catted downpipe with HKS full dual high power exhaust and ecutek tune on my q50 red sport. What are your thoughts??
Good combo!
I've been running a tanabe y-pipe, custom mid-pipe with 2 12" vibrant resonators, and tanabe medallion axlebacks on my g37 sedan for quite a while. I've been pretty happy with the sound. Super tame when driving calmly, but sounds great when you open the throttle.
@@SpeedCultureStudios so when are you going full turbo or ls swap on that Q.
Marcus Falden Stay tuned! Just kidding lol
I have a 2015 Q X 50 V6 RWD - stock . You’re very knowledgeable. I’m looking to do 2 things but this requires fitting / compatibility . Number 1 is I want a intake any recommendations that can fit on my model ? I heard it’s same engine g37 uses . Number 2 I want a exhaust setup do I need a specific one for my model q x 50 ? Or will any work with slight adjustments. Thanks !
I just recommend upgraded filters for this platform rather than intakes. For exhaust, I’m not familiar with what is available for the Qx or if others are compatible. You could always go a the custom route
I just got my vq37 straight piped from the cat back, I was wondering if resonating tips or a resonated test pipes would sound good?
Test pipes with straight pipes sounds terrible. Adding resonated tips won’t change the sound at all in either case.
What do you think about the Top Speed Pro 1 Axleback for G37 Sedan?! The muffler delete one, let me know!
I haven’t heard any reviews on it, but I like top speed stuff
Speed Culture Studios there’s a clip online by a guy named Nitish for a Top Speed g37 sedan, I think it sounds decent! Just wanted your opinion also
I have the top speed catback on my g35 sedan and it sounds AWESOME. The first couple weeks were a little quiet but I’ve had it on for about 6 months and it definitely opened up it sounds great and has a good price
Thoughts on a titanium gtr exhaust custom fitted on a g37
That would be dope!
So I have a aam competiton y pipe which has a 3 inch outlet too my single exit tomei ti. You think that’s gonna be straight?
3” single exit is great. That will produce nice results.
Speed Culture Studios I’m hoping so, I’m close too that soho also, how much is it for dyno time ?
Bro does a whole lot of yappin
Well it’s a talking video so…
Yo is that tesla screen?
Not in my car, no.
Right now I have a muffler delete with an added two extra resonators and am thinking of getting test pipes as you said it sounds horrible but I really want to get them for a tune would u recommend to add more resonators or maybe even replacing the ones with vibrant ones?
