i have this too and i love it! i live up north so its a bit droning near the winter months but i installed the HKS silencers on them and love that during winter.
Watched your video on the $500 exaust system and ended up with a Borla mid and the flowmaster resonators with dual wall chrome tips. Love the sound on my Q70l 3.7 AWD. If I knew how to send it to you I would send you a sound clip.
We did the same on my son's G37X last year, plus Berk HFCs. It's a good sounding system. The Borla was coming apart on the seams, sounds like a baffle came apart too, and they sent him a new one. Their warranty is great. He's wanting it a little louder and wants to remove the FlowFX resonators. I don't think it's a good idea.
I test drove a bone stock 2013 G37x coupe and thought wow, this is a nice classy but sporty exhaust. Most of the local kids around here chop off the mufflers or install those garbage sounding ebay exhausts that make thr vq sound like the stereotypical Chewbacca trumpet 🎺
Stillen full exhaust system is perfect in my opinion there is no exhaust drone what so ever and there car is annoying when cruising but once you get up to 3k rpm holy she screams it’s just a perfect exhaust
Lol I’m not in that level yet haha I don’t know why so many people complain about the infotainment system anyway. Do you really use it that much? I haven’t even had the radio on in over a month let alone looked at any other screens.
Speed Culture Studios I mean I would really like to have functions. The stock one really sucks man compared to even my mothers RAV4. Its slow, basically all you can do is stream Bluetooth music to it, and even that has a 2 second delay when pausing and playing. There’s just not a lot of customization either. I would like to change the top screen to a different kind of clock but every time I turn it on I just see this basic analog clock that looks terrible. I would love to either have the naviks android auto plugin or the much more expensive Phoenix Mk3 that looks absolutely amazing. I would really like having an android unit in my Q50, it would be great to be able to use Google Maps, or open Spotify and browse music on the car itself. I imagine you probably enjoy driving your car and listening to the exhaust note which is why you don’t use the radio. But I like to cruise and be comfortable and I’m just not impressed with the function of this unit that comes stock.
Ok so big question! I found out it's illegal to muffler delete in ontario... If it isn't too loud I can probably get away with it tho.. Is there any other suggestions to change the sound so I don't do any deletes? Like just getting a new muffler? Originally I was thinking of just getting a new resonator. The flowmaster fx. Let me know what the best approach is please 🙂
@@SpeedCultureStudios Ok ok, sorry to keep bugging you about it. I'm trying not to delete anything tho so I don't catch any tickets. Which should I do, just swap out the mufflers? or resonators? Or both?
I have a resonator delete on mine and I wanna do axle back next what should I do I want to keep it deep because I like the sound the mufflers are putting out but it can sound better the stock mufflers I got are letting you much rasp out
Currently have a muffler delete and am looking towards getting some test pipes. Worth getting without a tune? The closest Ecutek tuner is 4 hours away 😭 what's the best test pipe in your opinion?
There are a ton of decent test pipes out there. No need to spend a ton of money, but don’t get Megan. Not worth doing without a tune. The car won’t run to its fullest potential and you get a CEL.
I have a question, I have a magnaflow full exhaust on my G37 when I bought it. It has sound but it isn’t loud enough for me, what should I do to make it louder? I don’t wanna remove the rear mufflers and you said the resonators will be raspy
I jump my g a few years ago and messed up the welds inside the muffler so cut and added 2 glass pack it was cheap and not to bad on sound also went with the standard size pipe for back pressure pretty good I'm always getting compliments every where
I "felt" some torque return after adding a y pipe to my muffler delete setup actually, so I do agree there. Resonator delete is never good though lol. Sounds terrible.
I have an electronic cut out just before one of the resonators. Sounds bad ass and crackle and pops always on deceleration and does gun shot loud back fires during high rpm shifts.
If I’m adding resonated test pipes, resonated y pipes and a muffler. Would it be bad to delete my resonators? Mine are damaged And may just have them taken out..
So i got trual dual into a non res x pipe to vibrant res to muffler delete i got res test pipes it sounds bad i bought flowmaster fx mufflers should it help?
Right now I have a muffler delete with an added two extra resonators and am thinking of getting test pipes as you said it sounds horrible but I really want to get them for a tune would u recommend to add more resonators or maybe even replacing the ones with vibrant ones?
Hello, I'm planning to have a pipe attached from stock Y pipe back into a cannon 3"in 5"out with HFC's. Thoughts? 😬 Current set up just stock with muffler delete
I have a 2015 Q X 50 V6 RWD - stock . You’re very knowledgeable. I’m looking to do 2 things but this requires fitting / compatibility . Number 1 is I want a intake any recommendations that can fit on my model ? I heard it’s same engine g37 uses . Number 2 I want a exhaust setup do I need a specific one for my model q x 50 ? Or will any work with slight adjustments. Thanks !
I just recommend upgraded filters for this platform rather than intakes. For exhaust, I’m not familiar with what is available for the Qx or if others are compatible. You could always go a the custom route
Hey so I finally go my 3.7 back I was thinking about getting a new exhaust what would u think would be the best for me thanks, also can u give me like a lot of options I’m curious what’s out there?
Easiest way is just to google it man. There are so many different options and combinations. Everything will sound pretty good with factory cats, but if you go with test pipes, make sure whatever system you get has some nice resonators.
Hey bro the guy I bought my g37 had the mufflers deleted and I’m getting test pies done next week…should I save up and buy a full catback or should I just find some aftermarket mufflers or keep the deleted muffler?
I have a 2009 g37x sedan, but I bought a catback exhaust on the very cheap new, for a coupe 😔- Is there anything I can salvage from this exhaust or should I just sell it and look for correct fit.?
So I need a little help. After adding Berk HFC + Invidia CBE + resonators, it tone down the exhaust quite a bit, but the rasp is there. How do I completely rid of it?
I know im a year late, but I was wondering what your opinion was on the Rev9 Axleback Exhaust. I am on a budget and dont have over 1k to spend right now. Would you wait?
I've heard mixed reviews. It's a little raspy. Some people have had fitment issues. If you plan to do a full catback eventually, I wouldn't waste your time with an axelback. Just have a shop cut your muffler off. It really actually doesn't sound that bad, and its a way cheaper temporary solution.
I have a 2013 g37x and I just got a muffler delete with new resonators and tips with the resonators moved to the end up to the butt of the tips and 2.5 inch pipes. One shop told me 2.5 is too big and will lose power and waste more gas, is that true?
islom rustamov Location of the resonators will make a difference in tone only. They will have no impact on power. Resonators are wide open and do not restrict flow.
Hey man i just recently bought an infinity g37 s sedan its stock i was getting told to delete the resonators that it'll be a good idea but now you said not to NOW IM ALL CONFUSED im new to this EXHAUST stuf i also heard about megan racing test pipes and straight piping it can you PLEASE help me out thanks!!!!
Do not delete the resonators. It sounds terrible. Megan racing test pipes are the only ones I would NOT buy. Watch my other videos-I talk about all of this stuff in detail. You won’t be confused anymore
Muffler delete will not help with performance at all. In fact, some notice a loss in torque with a muffler delete. Drop in filters will help with throttle response but go with aFe dry filters not K&N
Aight Quick question so I did a muffler delete and added magnaflow resonators and it sounds amazing it has that tone and I wanna make it louder and pop I was thinking bout either getting a regular z1 test pipes or a resonated test pipe or get headers do you have any advice.

Great video and very helpful. Muffler delete sound nice only on the highway, i got mine done on my g37s and went back to stock 3 days later. Going with a rev9 axle back mufflers soon. What are tour thoughts on those?
I actually like the muffler delete. Nice idle and tame for regular driving but aggressive in the highway. Anyway, I’ve never heard the rev9 in person but I think they sound ok online. Some people have had fitment issues, but they are easy to resolve.
@@SpeedCultureStudios i did some research and they are one of the best selling exle back systems at a very good price and good quality. Ill do a review once i install it.
What is a good axle back brand for a g37 coupe? And with the axel back would I need a tune? I’m trying to just swap out the muffler for a little more sound that’s really it. Nothing crazy
Can often depend on platform. Some cars benefit from a bit of back pressure, particularly when it comes to low end torque. A wide open exhaust on the vq37, for example, especially if the diameter selected is too large, can have cause a significant reduction in torque. Turbo cars however, need to breathe!
@@SpeedCultureStudios you’re getting things mixed up with exhaust diameter. Depending on exhaust output of the engine you want to find the optimal diameter of tubing needed for optimal flow but having any back pressure doesn’t help performance. Why would dragster have open headers if back pressure was good? Simply put any resistance or negative force in your exhaust is bad.
@@sk8punk318 sorry man that’s just false. Pointing out open headers on dragsters is a very simplistic view of exhaust systems, back pressure and flow. Not getting confused at all. First, pipe diameter can absolutely have an impact on back pressure. Just because you eliminate mufflers and cars does not mean back pressure is eliminated. Back pressure can be caused by obstructions-kinks or crushed bends, baffles, etc. or restriction- i.e. smaller diameter pipe. Second, some platforms do absolutely benefit from some back pressure. I did not say all. I said a “wide open” exhaust meaning no mufflers, no baffles etc (straight piped for example) ESPECIALLY if the diameter selected is too large... can be detrimental to a cars performance-particularly low end torque in the VQ. You cannot just take an exhaust system off of a car and assume it will perform better because now you are running open headers. It doesn’t work like that. A drag car is an extremely refined machine making thousands of horsepower. That engine needs to breathe. It’s apples and oranges. To say that any back pressure is bad is just completely wrong. The best exhaust system is one that optimizes both velocity and flow. I’ve done videos on this before a long time ago. You can have a wide open system which is fantastic flow, but if the car is not moving enough air, velocity will be way down. If you have too narrow of a system, you might have excellent velocity-like putting your finger over a garden hose, but your flow will be hindered. So we agree there-finding the right diameter is key.

Hey brother awesome videos as always. Very informative. Let me know your opinion on the MBRP exhaust. I personally have it paired to Megan LDP. I dont understand why some people think louder is better even though louder can absolutely create a lot of rasp and drone and on the inside just horrendous vibrations and drone while driving normally. To each their own though of course.
I went full cat back magnaflow It sounds amazing but I wish it was a little louder. I’m thinking test pipes is the way to go but What do you think?

Awesome man!!
Glad to see another Q70 L driver checking in. We get no love out here lol

The best giveaway you could give us is a new infotainment system. Stock one is beyond bogus.
Lol I’m not in that level yet haha
I don’t know why so many people complain about the infotainment system anyway.

You can cut the muffler off then add the flowfx resonators to each side and it’ll tone it down a little but sound better than stock
@@SpeedCultureStudios Ok ok, sorry to keep bugging you about it.
I'm trying not to delete anything tho so I don't catch any tickets. Which should I do, just swap out the mufflers? or resonators? Or both?
I have a resonator delete on mine and I wanna do axle back next what should I do I want to keep it deep because I like the sound the mufflers are putting out but it can sound better the stock mufflers I got are letting you much rasp out
Most aftermarket axlebacks will be pretty raspy with a resonator delete. Just depends on what you like.

There are a ton of decent test pipes out there. No need to spend a ton of money, but don’t get Megan.
Not worth doing without a tune. The car won’t run to its fullest potential and you get a CEL.
I got test pipes without tune right now i do feel

I have a question, I have a magnaflow full exhaust on my G37 when I bought it. It has sound but it isn’t loud enough for me, what should I do to make it louder? I don’t wanna remove the rear mufflers and you said the resonators will be raspy
Test pipes or remove the bigger mufflers on the exhaust. YOu'll just want to keep or have some decent resonators in the system no matter what you do.
I jump my g a few years ago and messed up the welds inside the muffler so cut and added 2 glass pack it was cheap and not to bad on sound also went with the standard size pipe for back pressure pretty good I'm always getting compliments every where
Always nice to find a combo you like!
I wouldn't say it was by choice but it does the trick
I also forgot I have isr high flow kitties
I would say its personal preference to be honest, because if you do a resonator/muffler delete into a y-pipe you actually gain some torque😂
I "felt" some torque return after adding a y pipe to my muffler delete setup actually, so I do agree there. Resonator delete is never good though lol. Sounds terrible.
@@SpeedCultureStudios and again, like I said, thats just an opinion :)

2.5 is the largest you should go. Without a tune, you will lose torque with a 2.5” system.

I love but it also confuses me when people who think “back pressure” is some sort of beneficial thing for a cars performance
