      Two things brother, first a question would you take this 4k over the Orion HCCA SPLX3000.1D and 2nd those Kicker quad boxes used their lower end L7's I wonder if the box itself could hold up to 4 of their Q class L7's and would love to see how that performs both in just demoing and on a meter in comparison to the lower classed woofers the box came with! 🤔🤷‍♂️💪🔊🔊🔊

    I garauntee the brand will grow as long as the quality of the products doesn't drop. I honestly think that you're not going to find a better comparable amplifier for the price per watt. Take advantage of the pre-sale opportunities if available. I've always received the products I've pre-ordered from previous orders of Wolfram Audio and Surge Audio. I own the 4k,7k,and just got the 10k . Pretty sure the 10k is a 12k Amp in sheep's clothes. The 7k is an 8k I. Sheep's clothes for sure. I love my Korean sound if you don't know the difference between half bridge Korean and anything else please do yourself a favor and buy a Surge Audio Amp.

      @JasonWW2000 if he was to charge at 14.8 wired to a set of d2 woofers down to 0.5 ohm it would show us, A what the amp could do real world wattage and current pulled after introducing impedance rise I think that would be a petty awesome relative test.

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 Год назад

      @@justforlaughs8988 Thats both too specific and not specific enough. The impedance curve of the drivers will be influenced by the type of enclosure, size and tuning frequency they are in and the size of the vehicle. The impedance curve is how the amp makes power. We can already infer what the amp will do at lower impedances. So the test you describe would be useless. How would your test be relevant to a person using a Cmax battery? Not very. Most people running really big amps are using lithium. I guess your asking for these tests because you don't know how to take the info from the bench test and translate it into how it would perform in your specific setup. Thats valid, not everyone can do that. You don't really need specifics, you just want a general understanding of how it would work on real music. The only way to know for sure is to try it yourself. Get your subs and play them in your vehicle, watch the impedance change, measure your current draw, see how low your voltage dips, etc... If your setup only ever dips down to say 2 ohm then you know at max unclipped volume this 4k amp is gonna draw about 275 amps. Can your alternator and battery supply that kind of current? If not, limit the volume so the amp draw is less. It really is that simple. Once you know what the amp does you can put that info into your situation and determine if its going to work for you or not.
      If you want, you can tell me your setup and I can recommend what amp size you should get.

    I have a question BIG D, Do you think wiring the 7k amp to a .5 speaker load will result in going into protect? Or, has it been proven before in the past that the amp dyno is just too hard at .5ohms vs speaker loads? The fact it wouldn’t do a dynamic burst at .5 worries me. YES I already own the 7k but I’m getting ready to purchase new subs and are worrying about trying to do a .5 load

    • @wal
      @wal  2 месяца назад

      It’s difficult to say as a general statement as each setup wired to 0.5 will be slightly different based on your rise. The way I like to compare is running an amp like this at 0.5 is like running your engine at redline all the time. Will it do it? Yes. How long? Depends. It will absolutely shorten the life of the amp but if you want the most bang for your buck then it may be worth running it that hard
