I hope so, idk why. I’m not enjoyed when play RF5. but 3,4 is very enjoyable for me. The town on 3&4 feels lively with many npc and tourist wandering. Its not about graphic. You’re right. 2 MC makes me remember Tides of destiny, but that’s not good game for me, i more prefer frontier rather that. @muhammadzakyzahran7260 Rune Factory 5 was rather awkward. On one hand, the cast felt rather on brand, but at the same time, I felt like something was missing. The town wasn't as interesting as Sharance or Selphia, and everything felt so slow. Just waiting for the right hour to start an event felt like a chore, let alone trying to bond with the characters you're trying to romance. It felt like I was playing Frontier again. I hope they take more pages from 3 and 4 for next time.
Nice, this makes me happy. The only thing I fear now is if they didn't learn anything from their past mistakes. Like what attractive characters are we going to be unable to romance this time? Is the map going to be mostly barren when your traveling from place to place? Are furniture placements going to be rage inducing again until mods come out? It's also interesting they're going for a eastern setting this time vs just a fantasy one. Granted past npc characters had this theme too, so getting to explore the same world but in the eastern influenced area's can make sense.
I'm gonna die this looks so gooooooooood ugh I'm so happy, Rune Factory my beloved......... the story looks mad interesting, and do we have to UNLOCK SEASONS???? THAT'S CRAZY YOOOO

This game looks Phenomenal! I have the Previous Rune Factory Games and this one to be honest looks Very Refreshing with a very new Coat and Setting. I cannot wait to get into it. These games are great, but they do need to be a minimum of 3 years apart. That way we do not get burned up and look forward to the new one. That said, I am really happy for what I have seen so far. I cannot wait to see more and than get to Play it.
I’m still salty for not being able to date Shino, dammit! I also wish we could date the other player character. Seriously, the girl player character is cute!
Can not wait for this, as i absolutely love the Rune Factory games. Although Rf5 wasn't on par with 4, i never really got the technical issues others talk about. The graphics weren't the best but once passed that it was a good game.
I remember the pro-censorship homophobes who hated the girl-on-girl marriage in RF5 were making that "performance/technical issue" excuse CONSTANTLY despite me not hearing much about it from anyone but them. I honestly think it was just a minor issue exaggerated by them for their grift.
yeah, i never got the technical issues either! maybe some lag, but my favourite game in the series is oceans / tides so i’m very much used to a bit of lag in rf already. 😅 5 definitely was clunky in how it carried itself at times, but it feels like people don’t really account fairly for how difficult its production was as the first new game in 9 years for a previously-presumed-dead series that was being developed with an engine the team didn’t have much experience with in the middle of a global pandemic. it still very much had its charms and was a pretty good game in its own right! (& even had imo the best overall cast in the series)
My switch STRUGGLED with this game and I’m all for all gender marriages. Worst part was mostly the hitting rocks and things as it would always hit to the side, not directly on. It also crashed on me a lot.
@@straydevilblues Totally! And the dev blog was really open about a lot of this. You can tell from it and interviews that they really cared about this franchise and this game. And I liked the additions to the lore. We got some fan theories confirmed and some new lore questions to theorize over, and for a worldbuilding nut like me it was tantalizing.
As a HM/SOS fan, I also like RF for its character interactions & marriage candidates. I love their town events too. One thing I hope they improve on this & next installment are the villagers interaction with us & our spouse. It always feels weird in RF5 whenever after we got married with kids, some villagers’ dialogues still are kinda suggestive of romancing the MC. 😂 Also, more random dialogues pls? RF5 have so many repetitive dialogues that it kinda breaks the immersion. It’s also better i think if devs don’t implement the “exclamation mark/marriage candidates” event mechanic on the map. It’s more realistic to stumble upon the events randomly just like RF4 does. It builds anticipation.

so what do you know about rune factory 6??? is it in development or is this the funding project for it. all I know is that its in the west supposedly from that old may replay update thing from like a year ago
Interesting that they dropped the series numbering and are focusing on the plot and graphics this time around! I think they've mastered the farming sim and dating sim aspects so that's really all that's needed to make the next Rune Factory a real classic.
Actually, there have been other non-numbered Rune Factory entiries that were considered spin-offs. This implies to me that this will be a spin-off, rather than Rune Factory's sixth main series entry.
There will be a rune factory 6 coming out soon. The logo for it has been revealed, this one's a spin off that takes place in the eastern part of the rune factory world, where all rune factory games takes place in.
Everyone remembers RF5. But I remember Tides of Destiny. I loved the characters in that game but hated the frame drops. I really hope this one will be good.
Ive played 3, 4, 4SP, and 5, and dabbled a bit with 1 and 2 (own all physical copies) Only one I never managed to get my hands on was ToD. Would you say its worth still trying to play given QOL updates in newer editions? (RF4 is my all time fave)
I know this isn't the first time we can marry the others MC, however, since this stuff is really rare to happen in many games, so I looking forward for these
It really is especially if you're a long time fan because the setting of the game has been teased since Rune Factory 1. Yes all Rune Factory games take place in the same universe
Oh my gosh! Maybe i should start playing from the first one until this one comes out. (Also sorry if this comment posts multiple times, idk why it keeps disappearing 😭)

RF5 is dumpster fire, they were going bankrupt on top of overestimating their budget and time and skills (aka bad director/producer since it’s their job)... 😅 . This seem to be better but i still have reservation, i think they forever stained their reputation with RF5 for me...
RF4 is a gem cast of characters and small little details that show how much love was put into the game. I especially love things like the spoon weapon where the item descriptions are hysterical.
It wouldn't be a Rune Factory game without an amnesiac protagonist, LOL This game looks gorgeous! I'm so tempted, except I never wound up finished RF5, ahahaha... Maybe I should go back to it.

I just began rune factory 5 and they announced this!
I'm gonna die this looks so gooooooooood
ugh I'm so happy, Rune Factory my beloved.........
the story looks mad interesting, and do we have to UNLOCK SEASONS???? THAT'S CRAZY YOOOO
as a fan of the rune factory series i hope this one doesn't run on the switch horribly like RF5
I wouldn't get my hopes up. This game looks like it's pushing it.
The Trailer has ingame footage and it looks smooth 😅
Too smooth if you compare it with 5.
They rly did 0 optimization on rf5.
unless we have big news from switch 2 about it being capable of running switch games ( maybe with a performance patch too? plis) i'm going for pc anyway just in case.
Switch rf5 was a big turn off, what made me happy was seeing that it was gonna be on Steam
@@ForumcoldiArchon thing is its also coming to pc so i wouldnt be surprised if the gameplay was from the pc ver
so glad theyre trying something new with rune factory. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!!!
MY RUNE FACTORY IS LOOKING BETTER THAN EVER AAAAAAA
Waking up at 5:30 am to play RF3 is one of my fondest childhood memories. If this could recreate a third of that excitement, I'll be very happy.
Aha, I was the same with with 2 and 4
1:28 do i sense incoming a marriageble villain waifu 🥵?? If this true then it's really been a while since RF1 and HM: HOLV does 😆
New Interactable other gender mc's mechanic looks legit, i think that could be improvement so other gender mc existences tend not to be ignored and hopefully dateable too (the chance isn't zero since they're both not same chars).
1:53 So we get:
M bachelors:
- Grumpy long red guy
- Emo short white demi-fox
- Mysteriously half-face oni mask man
- Male protag(?)
F bachelorettes:
- Tanned tomboy samurai
- Sun-god miko/priestess
- Pink hair lady (if she is, then the dev actually might care how they(players) complaints who can't make move on well-endowed gal from previously RF game 😜, its just sad we can't be Hina father figures 😢
- Female protag(?)
- Blonde villain gal(?) (i do really wish its true haha, i don't mind if she had redemption arc in the form of expansion/dlc 😅)
This actually looks like more budget was used compare to RF5, so excited!
1:11 I swear to god Marvelous/nintendo if you don’t make this character romance-able we’re gonna have a problem 😮💨😤
Prob not… watch it follow the trope of being a mom and village chief. >.>
The big tiddy ones never are lol
She’s clearly a spirit of the tree right there. Gives me the sense she’s like Sakuya from Okami. I’d bet she’s not a romance option.
I’m still salty for not being able to date Shino, dammit!
I also wish we could date the other player character. Seriously, the girl player character is cute!
@@oak8194 agreed!
@@straydevilbluesTerry Gatcha!
Also, more random dialogues pls? RF5 have so many repetitive dialogues that it kinda breaks the immersion. It’s also better i think if devs don’t implement the “exclamation mark/marriage candidates” event mechanic on the map. It’s more realistic to stumble upon the events randomly just like RF4 does. It builds anticipation.
RUNE FACTORY I LOVE YOU
Back when they say they where working on a Rune Factory project after 5, I didn't expect it to look this good!
Only game I look forward to from the direct.
Aside from Capcom Fighting Evolution 2 for me
How can u like this and not atelier?
I am *SO* ready for this!!!!
IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!!
I'm super excited for this! Been a fan of the Rune Factory games since I first played RF3 way back when.
Another entry to add to my collection! (Been playing since the OG. 😉) Looking forward to it. I hope it runs better than 5 did though.
This looks like an interesting spin on Rune Factory and huge upgrades over Rune Factory 5. I'm sold.
marvelous has been cooking great game since harvest moon friends of mineral town, they also made sakuna of rice and ruin which got its own anime currently running, also they are making great fate games
New RF is always nice! Playing this series since RF3 on DS.
ILL THINK ABOUT IT
THERES NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT GET IT NOW
dragon veins, in rune factory? genius.
Nice Fire Emblem Fates reference 😂
The ocean's gray waves found another shore to crash upon.
@louvella-sama except Dragon veins aren't a concept unique to fire emblem. Ley lines are a prevalent enough concept for it used in multiple games such as Shin Megami tensei V or Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2
Ok this looks much smoother and better than RF5, I'll bite once more
A new rune factory game is coming out, but we must wait until next year to see it. I hope it comes out in early spring. I also wonder how long will it take for rune factory 6 to be ready.
I have a feeling that some of the story will connect with RF 6
And some to any other games. They like to make references and bring in visiting characters
so what do you know about rune factory 6??? is it in development or is this the funding project for it. all I know is that its in the west supposedly from that old may replay update thing from like a year ago
@@gdragonismygod the blond girl might be from western side of the world, who knows, maybe she will appear too in RF 6
Make sense, this game introduces the Eastern part of the RF world and RF6's tag line is about "East meets West"
@@clarehidalgo I might have forgotten about that, a refreshing approach to the series
This has the potential to be a VERY GOOD rune factory game, let's pray it delivers!!
So happy this one comes soon ❤️
This will probably come out with the new switch. Aint no way this game gonna run smooth on the current switch
HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE
MORE RUNE FACTORY LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This gives me Okami vibes. I like it.
I live the inkbrush aesthetic in Okami but I think you are more meaning the eastern vibes.
okami gives me vibes of japan :0
This is 60fps on Switch?! Incredible
The didn't drop the number, Rune Factory 6 is in development this is just a spin-off like Frontier and Tides of Destiny
Everyone remembers RF5. But I remember Tides of Destiny. I loved the characters in that game but hated the frame drops. I really hope this one will be good.
Ive played 3, 4, 4SP, and 5, and dabbled a bit with 1 and 2 (own all physical copies)
Only one I never managed to get my hands on was ToD. Would you say its worth still trying to play given QOL updates in newer editions?
(RF4 is my all time fave)
I AM SO EXCITED. ITS ABOUT TIME WE GET A NEW RUNE FACTORY!
Hina is all grownup!
That was hina?
I know this isn't the first time we can marry the others MC, however, since this stuff is really rare to happen in many games, so I looking forward for these
I've never played a RF game or really any of these types of farming simulation games, but this actually looks so hype
It really is especially if you're a long time fan because the setting of the game has been teased since Rune Factory 1. Yes all Rune Factory games take place in the same universe
@@squallrinoa7982 oh my gosh! Maybe i should start playing from the first one until this comes out
@@squallrinoa7982 oh my gosh! Maybe i should start playing from the first one until this one comes out
Rune Factory has always been more of an action RPG that has a secondary farm sim system, so if you're into action RPGs definitely keep an eye on this.
Oh my gosh! Maybe i should start playing from the first one until this one comes out. (Also sorry if this comment posts multiple times, idk why it keeps disappearing 😭)
I'm not usually a person who hypes up games that are going to be released, but this? I'm hyped, because I'm a big fan of the Rune Factory franchise and this game looks BEAUTIFUL and looks really good and fun, so for a fan of the franchise this is amazing, and I can't wait, I just hope it's as good as the trailer suggests and that it doesn't end up disappointing upon release...
And it's extremely cool to see Hina again and grown up now in this game, I just hope she's not a candidate for marriage because it would be very strange...
I hope this rivals my love of Rune Factory 3.
0:39 Every previous protagonist except Aden and Sonja: First time?
I will always love rune factory 💖❤🎉
For anyone concerned about the performance, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is currently available to wishlist on Steam. Looks like they are aiming for a simultaneous release on the next-gen Nintendo console and Steam for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma.
Today direct was insane, we got so many new GREAT jrpg incomings
My girlfriend just got me into RF with 4 Special and I've been loving it, and this just looks stellar! Looking forward to it!
1:46... isnt that Hina from RF 5? 🤔
As a farming sim enjoyer I'm always happy to see more rune factory
ANCIENT JAPAN RUNE FACTORY?
Yeah, but they’re speaking English.
@@jaylenhioe2868 yes but no
not ancient japan just the east part of the game's universe
Definitely not Ancient given a grown-up HIna from RF5 is in the trailer
The game theme definitely mixed of Japan & China culture though
I’ve never played a rune factory game but I would like to play this.
Been playing RF4 Special on PS+ and I have to say, They should do modern remakes of the first four games. (RF4 Special is just an enhanced port of the original 3DS release)
Love Rune Factory, the story on this one looks good!
Rune Factory has returned! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! LETS GOOOO *insert Its the Goat meme*
I'm a huge fan of Rune Factory I know this isn't Hakama on the development but I just hope the artworks from the characters are as good as always
anyone who thinks this is just another farming game is misled.
This looks so good omg
FIRST LOOK AT THAT DRAGON AND I KNEW WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO GET
found my first rune factory game
This got me interested in this franchise. Looks cool
Don’t look at RF5 but i heard lots of good comment about the others in the serie. RF5 is dumpster fire, they were going bankrupt on top of overestimating their budget and time and skills (aka bad director/producer since it’s their job)... 😅 . This seem to be better but i still have reservation, i think they forever stained their reputation with RF5 for me...
Try out 4 Special on Switch. Very, very good game. Deep mechanics, cute snd with clever fun dialogue
Check out rune factory 4 special and 3 special, they're masterpieces (better than stardew valley and better than a lot of jrpgs)
RF4 is a gem cast of characters and small little details that show how much love was put into the game. I especially love things like the spoon weapon where the item descriptions are hysterical.
@@ThePaulineu this is the 5th time in like 2 hours i see people throw around "masterpiece".
AWESOME!! Looking forward to this big time!!!
If you can romance anyone on this game I already know I want to romance the bad lady with blond hair from 1:32
0:26 "Have at you!"
WOOOOOOOOOOO PROJECT DRAGON TITLE AND RELEASE DATE!!!!!!
can't wait for it!
This looks kinda good. Never been one for farming games, but there looks to be a lot standard action rpg fare as well. I might check it out
I am incredibly hyped for this. Looks so much cleaner then 5's messy start. LETS GOOOOO
Hopefully it runs better on Switch than Rune Factory 5.
Finally what I've been waiting for is here, I can't wait to try playing the newest Rune Factory game.
LETS FLIPPING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It wouldn't be a Rune Factory game without an amnesiac protagonist, LOL
This game looks gorgeous! I'm so tempted, except I never wound up finished RF5, ahahaha... Maybe I should go back to it.
The only game that got my attention.
Nah, Atelier & the best castlevanias!
i cant wait to play this game i love the Rune Factory series so much, but i do wish this game was on Playstation as well since its more like its own spin-off from the main line games
