And fixed Haunted Castle is something I would never have expected.
I thought we were still waiting for a sotn remake?
Sotn is only available on ps4 for some reason, alongside rondo of blood
@@SweetOmwf
It came for PS4. But yes, I would very much like for it to be on Switch.
@@Impori23 Xbox as well because of its retrocompatibility (Xbox 360 got a port from the ps1 version)
@@Ninjaananasthat wasn't a remake of sotn
Still weird we don't have SotN on switch but we have almost everything else
Custom firmware!
My bet? They are Remastering it in 4k for Switch 2, PS4, XBox and PC. Will be its own thing, like how MGS3 is with Delta.
ps exclusive i guess
remake coming?
Well we can make hopeful prediction such as a new port with all Saturn-exclusive stuff intact..
Absolutely insane that SotN, the most popular and iconic game in the series, has yet to be rereleased.
Like beyond the Castlevania Requiem release that bundled SotN and Rondo of Blood? That came out in 2018.
@@umbranex9274It only came for PlayStation, it would be sick to have a multiplatform release. But I guess Sony must have an exclusivity deal or something.
Released on psp and ps4 only but yes a switch version would be great !!!
It's on android
Soma, Alucard, Julius, Yoko, Hammer, Jonathan, Charlotte, Sister Lecarde, Wind, Richter, Maria, Old Axe Armor (?), Shanoa, Albus, Barlow, Wigol Villagers
I'm so happy to see them again!!!!
I’m also really looking forward to the arranged music for Haunted Castle Revisted!
I HATE Castlevania Dominus Collection
I HATE Castlevania
I HATE Castlevania Series
I HATE Metroidvania
I HATE Konami
I HATE KONAMI
You forgot Loretta and Stella.
@@pooky-bellegaming4089 Good point but, sister lecarde means them
By far my favorite trilogy of Castlevania games. Basically 3 SOTN spiritual successors
I prayed for this and it happened.
Suck it , Dracula. Except you, Soma. We good.
I think it's both wild and random that they decided to not only include the Original Haunted Castle, but also remaster it.
Konami Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection has the original Haunted Castle. Its already available on the Nintendo Switch.
1:51 It's funny how they edited the "Controller for Touch Controls" to just after the seal is drawn, telling us nothing on how the controls actually work.
Yeah, that's a bit of a red flag to be honest...
I’m gonna pick this up but depending how the touch controls are handled I might just stick with my ds.
I was wondering how they would implement that mechanic without a touch screen. The fact they didn’t explain it in detail might make me stick to the original as well. Good thing I have the original cartridges and the Action Replay carts as well.
It's probably done with the right stick. I think that's how it was done for the Megaman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.
Judging by the footage, I wouldn't be surprised if the seal minigame in Dawn of Sorrow now auto completes just like in the Julius Mode.
@@LockPickingPawssounds like it could come to other platforms then 👍
Man, I'd kill for a Symphony of the Night port.
All Metroidvania fans NEED to play these games if they haven't already. I'm so happy this collection exists.
Everyone doubted it would happen, BUT HERE IT IS!
COME ON KONAMI. GIVE US HARMONY OF DESPAIR NOW PLEASE.
Omg. I can finally play Order of Ecclasia with out piracy or spending $150 for a used copy! I can’t wait!
I personally used an r4 with a ds lite
I lost my copy of Dawn of Sorrow a few years back. it was one of my favourite games from when I was a kid. This trailer made me so happy
Portrait of Ruin was my first Castlevania that I bought on a whim as a kid. I've loved the series ever since, I would love a new 2d Castlevania
I am very pleased about this but it’s so weird that they will never put Symphony of the Night or Rondo of Blood on Switch
It's the only reason I buy these collections on ps4. I like the idea of having all of them on one console.. because I'm weird like that.
@@autex2609nah me too dude, now we just wait for the 3d collection… I’ve played curse of darkness, platinum’d lords of shadow and got like halfway through LoS2. Completely overhated so i hope to see them get some love someday. They have their flaws but that’d be their chance to iron them out just a tiny bit.
@@johnboy5929 Heck yeah. They are still playable and if they gave them a bit of extra shine I would be thrilled too.
Dracula X on the advance collection is the closest you'll get
@@autex2609hey, nothing wrong with being weird like that. I double dip because of that! 😉
This just saved me several hundred dollars in expensive ds games.
Portrait of ruin have some of the Best ost in all Castlevania universe.
The covers of PoR that The Noble Demon made are so good. I have them on my regular playlist.
Now all we need is Symphony of the Night and I’ll have all the good Castlvania games on my Switch.❤
HYPE!! Order Of Ecclesia is still one of my most favorite games of all time, and I've wanted to get my hands on the other DS games for a long time too.
Something the world is not ready for is the arrival of Symphony of the Night in HD or remake, but that dream will remain dormant for many more years.
It's not even that good of a game. It's been surpassed but people's nostalgia for it holds it up to be the greatest thing
@@Mark-sd4hvExcuse me. But I disagree. SotN is an darn good game and still is.
@@Mark-sd4hvnostalgia is an excuse when people can’t argue. Sorry but SOTN is still the best Castlevania. And easy.
@@Mark-sd4hv Is that why both vtubers and youtubers here and on twitch still do speedruns and stream it? Are they crazy? It's because there's no comparison and a remake would be brutal.
@@Mark-sd4hv it's the best Castlevania game. I didn't even have it when I was younger, no nostalgia, it is just the peak of 2D Castlevania.
Castlevania 64 on NSO would be the cherry on top
A Remake in 3D made by Retro Studio. I'm sure that game would be a greatest exponent on the Switch Catalog.
Now we just missing a 3D Collection with Legacy of Darkness, Lament of Innoncence and Curse of Darkness. And possibly a Lords of Shadow Collection.
I can't believe they actually did it!
Never gonna happen on switch lol it can barely run 2d games let alone ps2 games
@@yeahtbh.161 unfortunately, that's a pretty good point
bullshit@@yeahtbh.161
There's so much to love about these games. The sprite work, the boss battles, the fantastic soundtracks, the controls, the extra content, the gothic atmosphere, and so much more. These should not be missed by anyone who loves side-scrollers, Metroidvanias, or the fans of the Netflix series.
The Netflix series fans should probably skip this.
These are some of the best Castlevania games in the series, glad they're finally getting re-released!
I am so happy right NOW!!!
PHYSICAL RELEASE FOR THE MOTHER OF DRACULA!
I sure hope so...but also doubt it. Not seeing anything online.
Wait Limited Run games will do it again.
@@tonberryhugs6435 Wait Limited Run games
@@tonberryhugs6435 You doubt it? The other two collections were released via Limited Run Games. Given that, i'd be more surprised if we DIDN'T get a physical release of this as well.
Was limited run games the only way to get a physical version of the advance collection?@@franciscobutte
1:53 good thing I play Geese Howard
"RAGING STORM!!"
XD
Jajaja true hard command 😂
Only Castlevania game missing from the Switch now is Symphony of the Night.
These ds castlevania games are just too cool, im glad they got it on the switch now.
Really im glad theres a dozens upon dozens of collection games of bangers such as these
it is going to be interesting to see how they changed the touchscreen stuff...
The only questionable part is the Magic Seal.
Well just watch the video lol
@@unknown95140 It doesn’t give any specifics from what I saw.
Yeah, that's the only part that could be a dealbreaker (for Dawn of Sorrow at least- and that's the one I want the most) because touchscreen controls controlled by controller sounds like the worst possible controls I can imagine- no way you can slowly move a cursor with the analogue stick to do stuff while playing the game.
Dawn of Sorrow holds a special place in my heart I’m so happy it’s back
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG, WE WON, BOYS!
Thank you Konami and nintendo !!!
Portrait of Ruin is one of my favorite games of all time. Ive already lost count of how many times I've played through it over the past 3 weeks in both Jonathan and Richter modes.
What we need is a rondo of blood/symphony of the night on switch
2:30 "Available NOW". Is not at the Nintendo Store yet...
Where is the Collection Nintendo? I want it NOW!
Store hasn't updated for the day yet. Chill.
@@AmanojakuX Too late my friend. I already purchased it on Steam. LET'S GO!
@@InariOkami How it works?, had you tried doing the seal?
@@Distoupia I started playing my favorite one, Order of Ecclesia, but it works the same for all the games with the Right Stick acting as a pointer to interact with the touch parts of the game.
I've read a comment about having the option to use buttons for the seal drawing sections but I haven't check it by myself yet 🤔
@@Distoupia I'm not at my PC rn so I was looking at the Steam forums and people say that seals are quick time events now where you can use button sequences to draw the seals

FANTASTIC!! The DS Castlevania games were so good! So glad they are back!!
Symphony of the Night and Harmony of Despair next please :D
Best of the best metroidvania games Castlevania
An actual Castlevania collection, lets go
Finally, I can enjoy Chuck No- I mean Julius Belmont's 16-bit glory on my TV, who would've guessed
Julius is just IGA with a leopard print coat
Portrait of ruin and Dawn of sorrow are personally my favorite castlevania games because of the souls you collect in DOS and the different enemies that you never get to fight before, but you can now. And i 100% completed each game along with Order of Ecclesia though doing the side quests in both POR and OOE were interesting to do and i liked them, by the way if anyone wants to know a secret name code for Portrait of ruin type in AXEARMOR(turns you into old axe armor) and Richter( get to both play as Richter and Maria) and the twin sisters are only playable after you beat the game.
The GBA and DS eras of Castlevania were where I fell in love with the franchise as a kid. So stoked they’re getting rereleased
