I was 34 when "The Legend of Zelda" was released and I became hooked on the games. I am 71 and still playing. Hearing this music brought back so many memories and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Nintendo, for bringing us so many great games and a lifetime of enjoyment.

@@burgesswaz interesting choice, but I also love the game more than most people. Motion control sword fighting was always really cool no matter how broken it could end up being. Fighting ghirihim (can’t spell) stalfos and demise always felt like a real sword fight. I’m glad to hear that this series reaches out to such a wide audience.

I love how Zelda reaches so many different age groups, I was 3 when I was introduced to Zelda series. My mum bought the n64 when it came out and got majoras mask + ocarina of time when they were released. Many years later my brother found it in storage and started playing and I started to watch him play. Been obsessed with the series ever since I love it so much, made so many friends bonding over these games. My favourite game is MM definitely. I think skyward sword or twilight princess are tied 2nd for me ❤

This is mildly bittersweet for me. My mother, the one that was half responsible for getting me hooked on Zelda, hasn't seen anything past 2009. Her last game beaten was Twilight Princess. She succumbed to inflammatory breast cancer.
I wish to whatever god might exist that she'd have seen and been able to play BotW and TotK. Let alone hear the music, because she was a psycho of a musician.
I'm glad she was able to experience Twilight Princess and its music in the end. That was the peak of her era.

I was 5 when I purchased a link to the past. I didn’t even have a SNES. I woke up early every day before school just to go to my buddy’s house so we could play an hour each before school. 29 years after that, I own every single Zelda game including the Japan only(no CDi), and I’m now in process of collecting every single Zelda console. The dream is to have every Zelda game on its original console and be able to play each one as intended. Zelda taught me morality and how to be a hero. I owe a good portion of my psyche to The Legend of Zelda. My cat loves the stable trotters. When I am old and my time is coming, I hope to find a young Zelda fan whom I can trust with my collection and pass the torch to them. In a world where everyone seems to hate on everything, I can always count on Zelda to be a place of solace. Thank you, and love to all other Zelda fans out there.

      they did really well.
yknow who did even better at their task though? Jesus. Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :) “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬ If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on RUclips and a RUclips channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. God Bless :)

The Legend of Zelda franchise has been something I've played throughout my entire life. My fondest memory was playing A Link to the Past with my grandfather. He was watching me play and noticed I was getting frustrated at a simple map puzzle that he had already figured out. He was in no way a gamer of any kind, but he was an incredibly intelligent man who decided to use this simple puzzle to teach his grandson how to read and utilize maps. I absolutely LOVED this, especially as a cellist. That being said, nothing is absolved from criticism. Some of these pieces just simply don't sound as good without the choir. The BOTW trailer theme that everyone loves, I just didn't get that sensation of goosebumps without the choir belting out vocals in the background. It sounded empty.
There were pieces where the full orchestra worked perfectly, and I did get that sensation. My personal feeling is don't shortchange a piece if you're going to perform it. Go all out!
I absolutely agree with you that I wish it was longer. Twilight Princess' music is so under-appreciated. I went to a Zelda candlelight concert, and TP was the one major Zelda game that was left out, which was so frustrating.
