Picked up the Obsidian Grand Wagoneer in May of 2022 and it’s been quite the ride… I’ve had it in the shop 3 times now. First was condensation in the rear tail lamps, 2nd row headrest wouldn’t fold down when stowing the seat which in turn hit the tv screen and broke it. They replaced everything. 2nd time was condensation again in the rear tail lamps and the info screen was super slow. Was told by dealer that condensation was NORMAL?!?! ok fine. 3rd time now is passenger rear window won’t roll all the way down. Other than that great ride😂 very fast with the 6.4
Was originally going to order a Grand Wagoneer but just couldn't rationalize the cost (at least 20k+) for what you are actually getting. Wound up ordering a Wagoneer Series II with the premium group, advanced off road and hd tow packages. I think I made the right choice!
$35000+ For the looking that not actually much different and to be honest I feel Wagoneer's overall design looks more comfortable than Grand Wagoneer. I mean It is not like the grand one is using laser headlight like BMW and the regular Wagoneer using the normal lens beam. What else? all the ADAS features and tech for a car that 90% of people are not actually used. Maybe the sound system is better. However, at the price like both cars. I am pretty sure the alpine sound system is not bad at all. So, at the last the wheel gets little bigger, but that not gonna cost $35000. I wish the rich buy more grand and leave us the basic. Great video though, thank you!
I went with the Lincoln Navigator instead. Very happy with my choice. For all the money these vehicles cost the basic crap should be standard if you ask me on all trims. Like folding them 2nd and 3rd row.
I custom ordered my series 3 wagoneer and it was $92,000, there are only a few (literally like 3 or 4) things that you can’t get on the wagoneer vs the grand. The grand is just a fashion statement. I got the hurricane engine which is the SO, but it makes almost just as much HP and Torque than the old 6.4 hemi that came with the grand in 2022. The Grand is the same engine just tuned different, give it a few months and there will be tuners out that will make the SO the same as the HO. I could have afforded the grand, but the only thing it offered was a status symbol, so I just saved $30k and got the wagoneer custom built.
You’re wrong on a lot of points. The engine isn’t just tuning. The leather is Palermo. The air suspension on the GW is like a cloud. And it’s not cheap. The GW is totally a different suv. The question is do you want all that? I did so I bought a series 3 gw 😂
@@buseini obviously you’re saying this to make yourself feel better about spending the extra money. The engine is just a tune difference, the cylinders are not bigger, the components are the same. The air suspension is identical in both, the leather may be different but that’s about it.
@@bearstokes9030 I am as well, but for me the GW has better more adjustable seats, 20 way vs 8 goes a long way for me since I'm injured. Not that many vehicles that have highly adjustable seats especially in a large SUV
Excellent review and comparison. I traded my 2015 suburban for a 2022 GW series 3 with the hurricane engine. True it’s not cheap but I was comparing the Grand wagoner to the Escalade and the navigator and in that segment I think the GW interior blew the other two away. The exterior styling grew on me from the first time I’d seen the Grand wagoner and the wagoner. They’re both great suvs but very different in more ways than meets the eye
😂😂😂 Everything he's showing us is exactly why I would go with the Wagoneer! See how your family's stuff everywhere? That's my family as well! I would hate to have to blackout on one of my sons for cracking the middle row screen from jumping over mid seat to the 3rd row 😅😅😅 No over exaggeration. I can see it now..... But that Grand is beautiful, too much chrome and paying 115k for obsidian is ridiculous when Wagoneer carbide is just as nice. I just wish the wagoneer got the 12 inch infotainment. Noticed yours don't have adaptive cruise buttons. Series 2 comes with it though. But, what I haven't seen no one check for on any of these videos is the collapsing side mirrors. Is it powered for Wagoneer?
We got the Carbide Wagoneer and so far we LOVE it. We wanted the better towing capacity that was not available with the Grand and I HATE all the chrome accents on the grand. YUCK!!. So far no regrets, hopefully the 22 bugs have been worked out. Was still almost 80K, but feel like we got almost everything we wanted. ONLY think I wanted was the light interior but the Carbide ONLY comes with black interior option.
You compared a top of the line Grand Wagoneer vs base model Wagoneer. A series 3 wagoneer is $92,000 compared to a series 3 is $112,000. It’s worth the extra 20k I promise
Can’t wait for the reviews of the Hurricane comparisons. How the wife Family Wagoner holding up ? .. I’m still on the fence between a wagoner L and suburban for a family hauler. So may bugs I’m hearing about the wagoner and the undercarriage is not suitable for long term
So far so good, the Wagoneer is essentially the same as a RAM 1500 underneath but I have not heard anything about the undercarriage not holding up… There are ghost in the tech but so far it’s been great!
@@JB_WhoWork here a mechanic going over it of the undercarriage flaws l, love to hear your comment if you have a chance > ruclips.net/video/h_SFPmEEHIU/видео.html
I had those deployable running boards last winter on a Wagoneer series 3 and they kept messing up in the winter. They would get full of ice and stayed open while rolling .. they do look good but the are a PITA in our harsh canadian winters.
If your a show off looking to go broke grand wagoneer better option. If you still want an amazing suv and not go bankrupt probably go with the wagoneer

Impossible to own without full warranty.

Great job sir. I wish there were more of videos like this to help people that are wondering why they should spend more money on one option vs another.

TY so informative and helpful to me !
I think you have the better Wagoneer, love your detailed demo great Video!!

The front facia looks beautiful and then you get to the back and it looks as though it was just slapped in there from a 2000 navigator.

went and looked at and drove the new I-6 liked it wagoner still has that magic when you drive it
Yup, I plan on posting the footage comparing the I6 to the V8 soon 👍🏾
I'll take the Wagoneer and I'll keep the additional $50,000.
Thx bro, I appreciate the video
I like yours better. Not a fan of the chrome around each window on the Grand.
You were smart to get the Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer is not worth the extra cash in my opinion.
I probably would have gotten a series 1 Grand if I did decide but I’m with you, that is a big depreciation hit that I cannot afford 👍🏾
That was going to be my question. How does the series 1 compare. It seems like you compared the base to the top of the line.

Does Jeep have statistics on failed air suspension? I feel like everyone I know that has had air suspension has had a story about failed bags.
More stuff to break. Especially those deployable running boards
You’re not kidding!
If you can afford $130,000 in the first place I doubt you are worried about that. Only those of us on a budget think that way.
I had those deployable running boards last winter on a Wagoneer series 3 and they kept messing up in the winter. They would get full of ice and stayed open while rolling .. they do look good but the are a PITA in our harsh canadian winters.
👍👍👍
Bro u gotta get a sunroof next time!
I would’ve gone for the gray exterior
Baltic Gray is pretty nice!
Sounds like a hustle to me
Not a fan for the HUGE $$$$$$ on the Grand Wagoneer, the one you got your wife was the better decision.
I agree, $50k is steep for essentially the same SUV, thanks👍🏾👍🏾
If your a show off looking to go broke grand wagoneer better option.
If you still want an amazing suv and not go bankrupt probably go with the wagoneer
Nope.... never wondered why.... never had any interest in buying a jeep.... i rather take my money to a BMW or a Lexus dealer.....
Didn’t know they offered 3 row suvs
Yellow ninja?
Both make no sense that much 😂
YOU probably shouldn’t buy one then. 🤦🏽♂️ To each his own. 👊🏽
rear both are ugly
Why is the car durty!!!!😂
Sounds like you should have bought the grand
