You guys are extremely informative and speak the hard truth regarding hair loss. Anyone looking to go this route should watch your videos should and schedule a consultation if applicable. You are educating 95% of the men over the age of 25 who are dealing with this problem. Unfortunately for me you are not in the US. Thanks again and keep the vids coming.
Agreed. I'd rather have a linear scar that you can fill in later. Unless you're a N7, you will get a full head of hair with 2 or 3 FUTs and still have much donor left.
I hate that they only talk about men. I’m a woman doing my research for transplant. I’ve decided on FUT. Unfortunatley, all the docs in Turkey only do FUE...so now I’m looking into Brazil.
Very important that you covered the selection of region from which hair is to be transplanted.i have never heard anyone speak of the hair loss in crown area and how it dictates a change of donor area.It truly is an art and not just pick and put.It requires significant expertise and experience to think out of the box
Great stuff guys! Iv enjoyed all the episodes so far! I had an FUE/FUT combo in August. It’s early days but the surgeon was 10/10 with his pre op advice and explained why he was recommending the procedures, just like you guys seem to be! I’m already over the moon with the progress and it’s only 3.5 mths 😂👌🏾✅
Great informative videos Guys.I’ve enjoyed all your episodes thanks.Had 2 strip surgery’s over here in the UK with a very well known DR and a member of the ihrs about 5 years ago.The result is very good.i have very fine hair and can cut my back down to a number 3 with no signs of the strip scar which is hardy visible even when combing through.Ive seen some horrendous strip scars in my time so the moral is do you your research and go to a reputable clinic and don’t let cost get in your way, after all you only have one head and some much donor hair.keep up the good work.
Hi, I was interested in your comments and who/which clinic you used in the UK as I'm more interested in the craftsman than the procedure. Are you comfortable sharing publicly or privately ? Regards Simon
@@simonmuncey3209 Hi Simon, I had my procedure done in Manchester at the Farjo hair institute.Dr Farjo is fantastic had a good result and really well cared for. They are top notch for their artistry. Are you thinking about a procedure?
I have to admit that FUE was what I was looking into first but now think FUT may be the better option as I'm only 36. The trouble I'm finding is that in the UK it's difficult to find places doing FUT 🤔 almost everywhere is only doing FUE
Being a recipient of a now 5-year old FUT procedure, it yielded the most possible grafts at the time. Any new additional procedure (if I do another), I'd do the FUE for the lesser volume as filler enhancements.
GREAT VIDEOS ANSWERING ALL QUESTIONS ... THANKS BUT I MUST SAY YOU HAVE A POINT ON STRIP HARVESTING BETETR QUALITY NON AFFECTED DHT HAIRS .... BUT THE SCAR IS STILL TOO AGGRESSIVE .... TENSION IN THE SCALP , MUST HAVE LONG HAIR AT BACK OF HEAD TO HIDE , AND REGARDING FUE ... YOU CAN HAVE HAIR ALMOST ZERO AND GO UNDETECTED ... THANKS AGAIN GENTS
I always wondered how musician Roger Waters has the hair he does -- bassist of Pink Floyd back in the day. The guy is 76 years old and still has the hair of an 18-year old.. Guy has the best genetics I've ever seen. My dad is mid 60's and still has hair but is going bald. All four of his brothers have thick sets of hair on top of their heads. Life is very unfair sometimes
Hi Sir, I have one one question. What happens to the telogen phased hair which are in the strip taken from the doner area. My concern is of they are not transplanted, eventually they are wasted.
.Dr an Dr thank you for educating us. There is a controversy about the quality of grafts yielded from the two techniques. Some say that FUT grafts are better , because 1. they all come from the "sweet spot" where all grafts are more robust , than , say the 2. they have much more fatty tissue around 3. receive much less pressure then extracting-preparing , than FUE grafts As a result , FUT grafts have better rates of surviving and growing. So , ceteris paribus, FUE grafts , even when taken from safe areas will produce a less nice cosmetic result than FUT grafts. So , if i only need about 2000 grafts , and am a candidate for both techniques , would i be right to say that FUT will give me a better result , ceteris paribus and if i do not care about the scar ? Thanks again.
Get an FUT. the scar is so unbelievably overrated. With FUT, you’re getting both quality AND quantity. The follicles will have a higher survival rate. I got 3,168 grafts transplanted on both the crown and hairline. Was gonna fly to Turkey to get it done but stayed domestic with Bosley in NYC. Couldn’t be happier. I trimmed my hair down to a #2 on the buzzer and the scar might be 2mm thick. With a #3 you can barely see it. Go with FUT. it’s the gold standard still. Gives you options down the line as well by preserving your donor area.
Basically FUE is great for the frontal hairline gentle fade into the FUT density 2cm behind the FUE hairs.. Ive heard a 1000x from hairloss forums etc.. Best protocol, is get FUT first, create density to an extent, FUE is to finish off the look and complete it too compliment the density from the FUT.. so FUT first, then hit an FUE 2yrs later......... then one more FUT 5yrs later to cover the crown lol if crown bothers you. Most are okay with a framing frontal hairline
Couldn’t agree more man. That’s my plan. I’m only a nw1.5 but if I get past a nw3, I’m doing FUT first, then FUE to finish it off and blend it. Rinse and repeat and maybe add some SMP for an increased look of density
@@tyawesomejohnson1672 your plan is the same as mine, smp an all.. Im probably a NW2-3ish, will be a 3 by the end of the yr most likely, should be getting my FUT March next yr so, workin beefn up donors
Better to either do fue or shave head, I had a fut which means now even if I wanted to shave head I’d have a huge scar like Rogan. So I have to battle genetics my whole life instead of being able to shave if no other alternative. Food for thought
If anyone or the any of the doctors can comment that whether one can go through FUT after FUE? I have gone through FUE but want to do FUT as i usually wear long hairs. The doctor didn't guide me at time of surgery.
dr I really want to know that my eyebrows, beard, and pubic hair are falling out along with hair from the scalp... which condition is this ?? is this androgenetic alopecia or alopecia areata.... and how can I solve it
So... it's all hopeless. If it's meant to fallout, it's going to fallout at some point despite any treatment. The only hairs left will be the donors from the back of the neck. 24yo, FML
Don’t look at it that way, I’m 29 years old and you will accept as you get older hair naturally gets shittier. When you are in your 50s, 60s you won’t care as much about having really good hair because your peers are all gonna have thinning hair so it’s less pressure to look good. It’s just now in our 20s and 30s you want to have a good mop of hair but trust me you will begin to accept it as time goes. But eventually yes if you have male pattern baldness you will lose your hair when you’re older but you won’t care because you’re older
Listening to these guys makes me feel so much better about my balding, I don't even know why but when I watch them, it makes me feel calmer.

FUT is the better all around option in my opinion after looking at everything together.
If I ever get a transplant it’ll be FUT. 🙏🏾
You should watch their comparisons between the two. I’m going with FUT also after hearing that I can do FUE to hide the scar if it ever an issue.

Very true. If done properly it really does take a lot of time and planning.

Not sure you can make that assessment from him on camera. Lots of introverts are very competent presenters, for example.

There is ONLY one plus to FUE. You can wear shorter hair without too much notice. Otherwise, FUT is better in every way.

Where is your office located?
I honestly think having a scar is a cool thing lol
Is punch size an issue for Fue? If so what is the best punch size to keep under to minimise noticeable scars?
There is no 'best' punch size. It will vary from person to person depending on hair thickness, curl etc.
That said, my most common punch size is 0.8mm
