2024 MUDFEST PLAYLIST: • 2024 Outdoor Activity ...
The previous generation of the Nissan Frontier midsize pickup truck lingered in the market for more than a decade. But the brand completely redesigned the Frontier for the 2022 model year. Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, and Toyota have followed suit with all-new versions of their own midsize pickups, but the 2024 Frontier remains very competitive.
The Frontier's 2022 redesign was thorough. Changes included all-new exterior and interior designs, heavily revised technology, improved safety systems, and a revamped chassis and suspension. On-pavement ride quality was improved, and the Frontier's off-road capabilities are better than ever. Steering is more carlike than before, and the infotainment touchscreen is among the largest in the class, though it doesn't match the big screens in today's full-size trucks. The new-for-2024 Hardbody Edition doubles down on the nostalgia-oriented styling of the current Frontier with 1980s-era additions.
The Frontier offers buyers the choice of King Cab and Crew Cab configurations. While the names might suggest that the King Cab is bigger than the Crew Cab, it isn't. The King Cab is an "extended cab" pickup with small, rear-hinged rear doors that accompany the two full-sized front doors. The area behind the front seats has seating for two but might be better used as lockable storage. The Crew Cab is a conventional four-door with two front bucket seats and a three-person rear bench seat. The Frontier offers two wheelbases and two bed lengths, which gives it an advantage over some of its newer competitors.
What's New for 2024: A Hardbody Edition and a luxurious SL Crew Cab are the two biggest pieces of news for the 2024 Nissan Frontier. Inspired by the Nissan pickups of the 1980s, the Hardbody Edition is based on the Frontier Crew Cab SV 4x4. It features 17-inch alloy wheels that closely resemble those on the original Hardbody truck and a wide variety of other off-road equipment with a vintage look. The SL replaces the SV Premium package, and it offers a robust array of appearance and convenience items.

Best looking truck 2024 for value and package hands down.
Big fan!
Nissan sales of the frontier should finally increase with Toyota crazy prices.

Best midsize truck on the market!
That would be my next truck. Since Toyota changed its Tacoma design, I am not a fan issues of the Tacoma. Have been reported .

😂 this frontier had issues reported on its "refresh" in 2022
Every new vehicle has issues within its first couple years.... the third gen tacoma was having issues with it's engine and transmission upon release and the current gen frontier had tranny, electronic and braking issues in 2022/2023.
In 2024 the Nissan Frontier pro4x is the way to go !
Nice truck
Thanks! Good review!
Thanks for watching!!!!
Good looking truck but it sits way too low. The PRO4X should have been offered with a minor lift like the Chevy Colorado Trail Boss.

Nice job on the trails, grandma.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@everymandriver LOL, sorry, I was only kidding. I just wanted to see if the Frontier would bottom out.
I hear the 2025 pro 4x - lift and high resolution cameras a few other things I can’t remember but a lift will make this truck a lot better and the cameras are definitely a big plus low resolution left in the unless they change I’ll be buying a Chevy or Ford
I considered buying until I went to a dealer who wanted over 50k for a pro 4x. Rather buy a full size for that money.
My old 8' bed with a camper shell makes weekend camping with a cot and full-size mattress a breeze. Now I can't even buy an 8'. Need at least a 6.5' with a built in shell that doesn't leak and has side windows with screens. No need for crew cap just enough extended to fit my ice chest and stove. Nobody care about how easy the short tour camping guy with no dang travel trailer needed for deep woods 4x4. It would be the bomb for some of us. G friends always liked the roughing it with a bed just fine
I like it . Good prices. I think the Ranger has better tec but this does well too
Looked at a 24 Pro 4X last nite. Stickered at $46 I think it was? Roughly speaking comparing a similar Taco it was more cost effective by 4-5K (ish), but not as much as I thought before I looked at it. If that model came with a 6'bed I'd consider it but it doesn't so it ian't the truck for me but it's a badass truck and I get why people love and buy 'em.
22 or 23 was the time to pick up a frontier , people were getting 5 to 10k off msrp fully loaded
Just nabbed one for 43k out the door tag and all, so I think there's a lot of room off that sticker price
Did it have a moonroof, bedliner, A/C outlet in the bed? Because I can score a Pro 4X for 42K minus those issues to. It's when you add the goodies it creeps up to 48ish...not that far off from a similar equipped Taco@@Nestoroo1236
Nope! Fair enough
Ridgeline has a Bed and a Tailgate so it is a Truck 😜
Yes. Thank you!
How many fools would spend 45+ K to jump ditches and climb rocks with a Beautiful Truck ??
i'm sorry, but that course was pretty tame. My 2005 ford Escape would go through that no problem. I have taken it on so much more rough terrain then what you did there. I was hoping too see what this truck can do, but the course was super tame
Sorry to hear that.
My 97 honda accord has seen more offroading then most lifted trucks.
thought the same. whoever put that “4x4 course” together should be fired. my LOWERED jetta could take that on. lol. will have to look elsewhere. thx tho.
Drove way too slow, do it again! LOL
Ok, I'll schedule some time in my calendar to drive 6 hours across state, arrange for some track time, ask the manufacturer to bring the truck back over and do it again. Stay tuned.
Dependability dependability dependability.
That's what it all comes down to.
Nissan frontier is more dependable than Taco
How could you possibly know that? The new taco has barely been available for 3 months.....
I love that color
It works on this truck!
This is what I was waiting for as a 2023 Pro 4x owner.
Awesome.. I hope you subscribed... the more people who subscribe and watch, the more cars and trucks I get.
negl, I could have ran through your "offroad" course in a honda civic.
Then do it.
@@everymandriver 😜
Im as truck guy as it gets. The Rigeline is definitely a truck a over priced truck but a truck.
Which truck would you say has the best value then? Midsized only
@@stevenkim9633 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x.
As mad as I am with Toyota about some of the recent decisions, you will never get the longevity out of a Nissan that you will a Toyota, and their track record reflects that...
Toyota's track record was based on a completely different engine and transmission set up.
@@ramfan5149 100% truth
I think your wrong the Nissan 6 cylinder naturally aspirated will end up beating out the four-cylinder turbo just facts
I love the looks of the pro 4x it’s just too small vs the AT4X
Drive one before you really consider one. I did and was very disappointed. Two words: interior materials and ride quality, not very good. Exterior is very nice but I was disappointed driving it, just did not feel great
how is its transmission?
Its trans i guess
Please stop referring to the Ridgeline as a truck. It is not a truck.
Edit: If you are a stay at home Dad who’s biggest cargo is taking your kids to school then this is the “truck” for you.
Don’t tell me what to say, secondly, it’s a truck.
@@everymandriver So you are willing to throw journalistic integrity out the window? OK 👌.🥲 It’s a truck. 😂
@@everymandriver That steak Honda just fed you to say the Ridgeline is a truck must have been awfully good.
It sure is a truck and a great truck
@@OrlandoDiaz-sr5tf yep, and the CRV is a school bus.
