I have also witnessed war up close, deployed twice in Congo for peace missions for Belgium, alongside the French, who were more aligned with Rwanda. But what is happening in the world nowadays worries me. That's why I often urge politicians to prioritize rebuilding our own defense and possibly reinstating conscription from hiatus. Considering, their call for reservists only attracts 8% of young people. That won't cut it. I'm not afraid myself, but I am concerned. War should always be prevented, but also sometimes you need to go fight for protecting your way of life. Don't get me wrong, I also admire new things in material and defense, that's why I follow your channel. Thanks.

The Show starting at 1AM UK time prevents me from watching live, but as I now watch the section on the typhoon, being used.
The Typhoon is the RAF's prime jet. Its FGR4 designation stands for. Fighter Ground (Attack ) & Reconnaissance
It's still on a Mechanical radar, the Europeans are behind in upgrading AESA Radars as they wanted to develop their own rather than buying in US tech... A slower, more expensive procurement process but at the same time understandable for local Industry & non reliance on US parts and any export issues.
The F35 was bought to fly off the two carriers that the country couldn't really afford but Senior Navy Officers and politician's egos are bigger than defence budgets.
The RAF/Royal Navy jointly have only around 30 jets operational, as the UK is still on the Low Rate buy in of the F35. The Aim was a total of 168 jets but that might never happen, suggestions of half that number may be more accurate Of which there would need to be a number deployed on board on either or both carriers at the same time.
Also remember these are the STOVL B model so not as much fuel for flying intercepts.

6 tiny drones are a threat against infantry but useless against moderately hardened targets. These are not artillery shells or 750lb bombs. Sure they can harrass and slow down exposed operations, but even the moderate size single drones in ukraine are only effective against armoured vehicles by flying into open hatches or by blinding the optics.

It would make sense since there is no human in the cockpit to build them stronger than current fighters so they can pull more Gs thus turn better which is a huge advantage both in offensive and defensive air combat.

From what is available this is how we can describe the performance range of the fighters Comparing the F-35A and the Eurofighter Typhoon head to head, system to system, weapon to weapon:
Comparing the F-35A and the Eurofighter Typhoon in both air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities is a complex task, as each aircraft has its own strengths and weaknesses. Let's break it down:
    Air-to-Air Combat:
F-35A: The F-35A is a fifth-generation multi-role stealth fighter with advanced avionics and sensor fusion capabilities. Its low observable design, coupled with its advanced radar and sensor suite, gives it a significant advantage in situational awareness and the ability to detect and engage enemy aircraft before being detected itself. Additionally, its advanced networking capabilities allow it to share information with other friendly aircraft, enhancing overall situational awareness and cooperative engagement. However, some critics argue that its performance in a dogfight scenario might be inferior to that of fourth-generation fighters like the Typhoon due to factors like maneuverability.
Eurofighter Typhoon: The Typhoon is a fourth-generation multi-role fighter known for its exceptional agility and maneuverability. It is equipped with advanced radar and sensor systems, making it a formidable opponent in air-to-air combat. Its superior thrust-to-weight ratio and aerodynamic design allow it to excel in dogfighting scenarios, where agility and maneuverability are crucial. However, it lacks the stealth capabilities of the F-35A, which could put it at a disadvantage in terms of early detection and survivability against modern air defenses.
Verdict: In a purely air-to-air combat scenario, the outcome could depend on various factors such as pilot skill, tactics, and support infrastructure. The Typhoon's agility and maneuverability might give it an edge in close-range dogfights, while the F-35A's stealth and sensor capabilities could provide an advantage in beyond-visual-range engagements. It's a close call and could vary depending on specific mission requirements and battlefield conditions.
    Air-to-Ground Combat:
F-35A: The F-35A is designed to excel in air-to-ground missions, with a wide array of precision-guided munitions and advanced targeting systems. Its stealth capabilities allow it to penetrate enemy defenses and strike targets with reduced risk of detection. Additionally, its sensor fusion technology enables pilots to gather and process vast amounts of information, enhancing target identification and mission effectiveness.
Eurofighter Typhoon: While primarily designed as an air superiority fighter, the Typhoon is also capable of performing air-to-ground missions with a variety of precision-guided munitions. Its advanced avionics and targeting systems allow it to engage ground targets with a high degree of accuracy. However, its lack of stealth features means it may be more vulnerable to enemy air defenses compared to the F-35A.
Verdict: In air-to-ground missions, the F-35A's stealth capabilities and advanced sensor suite give it a significant advantage in penetrating enemy defenses and striking targets with precision while minimizing the risk of detection and engagement. However, the Typhoon can still effectively conduct air-to-ground operations, particularly in environments where air defenses are less sophisticated or where the element of surprise is not critical.
In conclusion, both the F-35A and the Eurofighter Typhoon are highly capable multi-role fighters with distinct strengths and weaknesses. The choice between them would depend on the specific mission requirements, operational environment, and available resources.

  • @sec808
    @sec808 4 месяца назад

For the Iran attack I think Mover hit it on the head. They now know the air defenses and they test fired more ballistic missiles in one day then North Korea test fired in 20 years. They now know which ballistic missiles were successful and they are reportedly WEEKS away from nuclear capability. Nukes don't have to hit the ground, they can detonate before the anti-air can reach them if the system isn't specifically designed for high altitude ballistic missiles. I think Israel HAS to eliminate the nuclear threat somehow because Iran has now tested the delivery system.
I think they are measuring the international response and determining if they will be allowed to survive if they use nuclear weapons to eliminate Israel.

IronDome is an acronym for close in air support against mIssiles, planes within 4-70 km. The second layer is "David's Sling" system for 100-200 km intercepts. The Israel air force (F-35, F-15) is the 3rd layer of defense .

I'm sorry but if Iran doesn't already know from watching all the western worlds supply to Ukraine and how fast it can disappear along with conflicts all around them that all of the NATO countries share tactics and weapons with just as all other undemocratic countries are paying attention to everyone's abilities I think only thing they wanted to know is who would back Israel up after they stepped over the line if no one would have im guessing would have been different outcome even with USA weapons

Lol Canadians thinking about saving money building Lockheed Martin jet parts for every F 35 made, helicopters and military drones in Waterloo ont. Their own navy frigates and ships no need for aircraft carriers drop drones from bomb bay doors or fly them off decks will that be effective

I give guitar lessons online. My goberian shows up at my feet almost everyday at 7 pm when I'm finished, +/- a minute. "Time to play soccer..."
