It was a dream that was too far to achieve, but im finally living it now! *plus my comment was a hour behind your live stream😂

When I went through my divorce, I had several guys who had been through it themselves,give me the advice to "go for the throat" legally and get custody of the kids. They were burned by their ex wives and gave advice from that experience.
I ended up having the upper hand and could have gotten custody and child support. And the pressure to go after my ex was high. But, I went for peace. In the end, we had true joint custody. Neither of us paid child support or alimony to the other. And now we can talk like old friends.
Lots of praying and having a firm stance while extending out an offer of peace to give our kids the best opportunity to be a part of both of our lives.
But, some of those men were reliving their past through me and giving bad advise because that was their experience. Thankfully I had great men, like my dad who had seen it from my view.

I saw a video where the Chinese were catapulting a sled into the sea. They were saying the catapult had issues. Don't want to be that first pilot, taking off of the cat shot.
We used have jokes about a Chinese fire drill. Do not short the Chinese, they are big in Africa, they are making a world presence. They can produce quickly whether their equipment is good or not is irelevant.
I remember in the Army (an Armored Brigade) in Europe we had an alert (monthly readiness test where we quickly exit the base.) We could not move our tanks because we did not have enough money for gas.
The money is getting sucked up by the military/Industry complex - Profits. While they increase the Defense spending less and less are getting into the training/operational aspect .
That's crazy. You'd think European readiness wouldn't hinge on whether or not they get gas money 😔
@@toxickilljoy9037 This is the US 3rd Armored division, and the brigade ran out of their quarterly allotment, which forced them to hold in place and not start their engines. I do believe in a real alert situation we would have been cleared.
Funding has always been an issue in the Military. No matter the generation, no matter the MOS or Unit. Despite having the biggest Defense Budget in the world. I knew this year 1 in Army. When we arrived in Iraq, received our connex's and equipment and we were taken to the Humvee junkyard/transpo yard and we had to find blown up Humvees that were up armored and take all of their stuff and put it on our equipment.
We had a DEOC survey a few months ago aaaaand now we don't have a commander... for the moment. I think the AF is getting better a taking toxic leadership more important. 1:48:27

The oldest Js are at the FTU, we have a few '94 models.
Another point to being asked for advise is what do you actually say…Casmo made a good example when he talked about the person who wanted to get out and gave honest advise. Telling someone what they want to hear is often not good advise. I asked higher ups if I should apply for a supervisor position and was told yea go for it. In the end, I was not yet ready for that role and the rejection was hard. Age and experience taught the needed lessons. My advise is to always give honest advise even if it hurts.

Warthunder is a bit too arcade, even in simulator mode. Still, I have the F-4J, and for some reason, it has a helmet site for the AIM-9E's. The A-10A. I should get the F-14A and D next then the F-16 next year. With all the eye candy, the terrain is interesting in VR especially down below 500ft off the deck
Does it help you guys more to get more live views vs normal videos? Does it put you in the algorithm better?

I can't always make the lives but I watch these when I have free time doing chores or chilling out after work. but if lives are where it's at now than ill join up and pop an ear bud in for the cause. Lots of people are here because you're an awesome bunch, and you all make us feel like we're a part of your family too.
DCS in VR is amazing. Honestly I do my best to try to fly daily.

BTW So even Apache get their Raptor kills :D I think they should put a bunch of then in the range so Army pilots could brag in front of AF guys they've killed five Raptors in one pass. Sounds even better than an ace in a day :p

I remember a colonel flying I believe it was a C-130 on a fini flight and he crashed after pulling a stunt. Later they claimed he had been involved in several instances of bad flying.
You might be thinking of the B-52 crash at Fairchild AFB in 1994.

Three conflicts at the same time when WW3 kicks off. Which, at this point, is a matter of WHEN and not IF. And I'm hearing from military family and friends that we don't have the manpower to do it, let alone the nonhuman resources.
Our only hope is that our allies are strong, so we're not carrying the full responsibility of winning the wars.
