This work on 90% of coil overs:) straight to the point, nice! Only thing I would add is to lube the threads nice and thick so you can wipe away all dirt and it keep it from getting buried in the threads
Same but I'm getting ready to do my first coilovers installation on my NextCar I'm going to mess with the ride height so I can learn you never know unless you try when you fail it's a learning lesson
Just remember if you adjust ride height, next time you perform an alignment to you must input the new ride height in the hunter so it can be aligned properly.

This my first time seeing video on adjusting coilovers the correct way, every time I see a short on this topic people are always fuckin with the preload or the spring
the "preload" is a myth, adjusting the length of the shock is not how you adjust ride height. you are supposed to use the spring perch. you dont buy shortened shocks on its own to lower a car, you buy springs. its not any different
@@arcanevoid9199yaaaa just to let you know, most cheaper coilovers do not have separate ride hight and preload adjustments. When you lower the height it stiffens the spring, and vice versa. @@sashaghovanlou8175 lowering the height does not stiffen the spring as almost all use linear rate springs. also what you are calling “preload” is the correct way to adjust ride height, body length (or the lower collar) changes travel. some expensive coilovers (especially from brands that dont use Taiwanese parts) only have an adjustable spring perch

Shouldn't you change length of coilover only to make sure bump stop works corectly and nothing hits at full bump and then use spring seat collar to set ride height by adjusting preload?
Nice straight to the point and informative video! Super cool seeing good shorts showing working on cars
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it🙌

I live in the rust belt. To see a clean W20 like that is a diamond in the rough.
Finally - quick and to the point.
Chris Fix has some serious competition. That and I feel seriously inadequate right now.
So clean compared some clowns on here lol. Thank you 🙏🏾

When the mechanic is so hot so you decided to buy a extra cacharra so you can see her often 😂😊
Get some coil over socks. Trust me it helps a lot specially winter driving when is snows and they salt the roads.
I don't know anything about mechanic but I love your channel 😍 very much
Nice mr2 I got a 86 and it’s cool to see another owner
Idk why you're all over my recommendations, but I'm not mad. Good job 👍
Love the zip ties holding the brake line 😅
Thank you this was very helpful
Love the MR2, I used to have a green 91 turbo t tops with almost the same coilovers on it.
Nice MR2. I had a ‘92 in the early 2000s. 😎
that changes the preload on the spring doesn't solely just change the ride height
She didn't loosen the top collar lock screw, so yes it only changed the ride height.

Do you always need an alignment every time you adjust your coilover?
