Actually her performance is really special. One of the hardest songs to cover of all time, and she manages to pull it off and make it sound sincere. Of course Jeff Beck's version might be the greatest guitar playing of all time.
@@constructioneerful I don't mind the comparison. My point was that I prefer to listen to each version from beginning to end, uninterrupted, without segueing back and forth.
It's simply inane top put these two very different versions together and it's a fools errand to compare the two. They stand quite well on their own, thank you very much!
I WILL TELL YOU STYRAIGHT JEFF IS MY GREATEST IDOL CAUSE I DFUNNO ANYONE WITH THESE KIND OF STRAT SKILLS ?? UHHR DO YOU?"? DROWN IN MY OWN TEARS THANKS FOR TELLING ME WHO COMPOSED IT I AM GOING TO GIVE IT A GO GREAT MUSICIANS THE LOT OF EM
Agreed. I've listened to many versions of this song. Johnny Winter's version is by far the best. No one else's vocal performance comes close to Johnny's take, off his first album. Hands down!
Ray charles was the original, Stevie wonder did a good version of it back in the Motown early days.. Johnny Winter did a pretty good version. Norah is a typical country twang to the whole outlook of the song. Jeff Beck is a little self indulgent.. In my humble opinion Winter's is the best cover of the song in transcribing the piano to guitar..
Spectacular performance by Jeff and Nora!❤❤❤❤😊
Amazing Mr Beck 🙏🙏❤️
Great Nora’s sultry voice ❤❤❤❤😊😮
THE best guitarist EVER!
She is fabulous ❤😊
Jeff Beck + Guitar = a whole other world of static electricity
Jeff Beck's Version had the hairs on my arms standing up for the whole performance. Jeez that guy communicates through his playing like no other !!!
Most guitarists play the notes, Jeff 'plucks' them from the air.
With a voice all his own, Jeff entertains and inspiredes. Well done and thank you.

Gregg Allman and Derek Trucks did a phenomenal cover as well. This was fantastic.
What a great combo😊
I love his whammy bar style to sound like slide guitar. No one else can do it just like that but I think it would teach me a lot to try...😍
nice connection ! cheers
Totally special.👍
And by combining these two great versions, you did a disservice to both. Each deserves to be listened to in its entirety.
I rather liked the comparison.

If there is anything inane, it is your comment. Either enjoy what gives pleasure to others or STFU.
fantastic
Thanks OP for posting.

Just-a-talking 😮❤🎶🙌😁
I love Becks version with Jools Holland......but nobody does this song like Johnny Winter

The Spencer Davies Group with Steve Winwood on vocals
Got to be my favorite ... he rips the fabric of the Blues right up !
No body does it like Gregg Almond
Here I see and hear only Jeff.I apologize to those who think differently.
After Gregg Allman's performance of this song, not an easy task. She is amazing
Both versions here are pretty epic but have you heard Derek Trucks' version with Gregg Allman on vocals? Daaaamn
same key ! cool
@grtlessonsneil Absolutely, IMO.
Janis does a simple cover. I love Johnny's too. Nice work here - Great cover! :)
like it
his hair looks wierd....but he has got the touch ! great.
Still think Gregg Allman &Derek TRUCKS,CAN'T be beat
Might I suggest the version by Jean Wells?
{Aviso}
Norah is harder to cover than Jeff Beck? I'd love to hear you play.
There are 10,000 excellent guitarists for every one great singer. I learned Beck's solo in an afternoon. It's not hard, just brilliant.
